[00:00:07] You're listening to Daily Truth. [00:00:12] When Jesus and the disciples pass a man who is born blind, and they ask Jesus, Whose sin made this man born blind, his or his parents? [00:00:23] And Jesus responds by saying, Neither, but so that the glory of God might be revealed. [00:00:28] But notice what Jesus does not say. [00:00:30] He says, Neither this man's individual sin resulted in this man's Individual physical ailment, nor his parents' individual sin resulted in his physical ailment. [00:00:41] But Jesus does not say, He does not say that no one's sin made this man born blind. [00:00:48] He simply says neither his or his parents. [00:00:52] But the reality is that Jesus does affirm, because Jesus affirms everything in the scripture, the reality is this all sickness ultimately is a result of someone's sin, if no one else's, namely Adam's. [00:01:09] This world only has sickness and disease and death because it is under the curse that came about through sin. [00:01:17] And so all sickness is a result of sin, at least in a general sense. === Sickness Ultimately Stems from Sin (02:39) === [00:01:24] In a general sense. [00:01:25] However, we might also find a both and, not either or, but in some cases, sickness is only rooted in sin in the general sense, but sometimes sickness can be found to be the direct cause of. [00:01:41] Sin in general and sin in particular, meaning that individual could have their own individual particular sin that results in physical ailments, like a lack of discipline. [00:01:55] Right? [00:01:55] Somebody could have horrible eating habits, somebody could have choosing to give themselves towards harmful substances and drug use and all these things. [00:02:08] And in that case, we're not trying to beat the person up, but it's not loving. [00:02:13] To pretend as though the person's moral actions, the person's habits and rhythms and disciplines have no effect on their personal health. [00:02:24] Of course it does.
