NXR Podcast - DAILY TRUTH - The Justice Of Hell Aired: 2023-02-14 Duration: 07:26 === Evil At The Level Of The Heart (05:58) === [00:00:00] All right, listen, guys, I get it. [00:00:02] Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. [00:00:10] Praise God for you and that endeavor. [00:00:13] However, algorithms are a thing, shadow banning sadly is a thing. [00:00:18] And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five star review. [00:00:31] Also, perhaps even more effective than that, you can share our podcast with a friend. [00:00:36] We hope you'll take the time to do so. [00:00:38] Thank you so much. [00:00:39] God bless. [00:00:42] Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. [00:00:48] You're listening to Daily Truth. [00:00:52] Really, the entirety of our text is that God threatens absolutely terrifying, horrific, terrible things, eternally terrible things, to those who won't be eternally. [00:01:05] Gloriously happy in him. [00:01:09] Because people will say, what? [00:01:11] What's the problem with this Christian god? [00:01:14] Why is he so insecure? [00:01:17] Why does he have to have everybody love him, right? [00:01:20] I mean, he just sounds like like a, a deified teenager on tick tock. [00:01:25] You know like he, just he. [00:01:26] He just he seems so petty, right and so vengeful. [00:01:32] You know that that he's. [00:01:33] He's gonna say, you gotta, you gotta believe in Jesus, his son and accept him by faith and do this and obey his commandments and all this kind of stuff, Or he's going to send you to hell for eternity. [00:01:42] Yes, that is correct. [00:01:45] Yes. [00:01:46] Number one, because eternity in hell, underneath the just wrath of God, is the only just, equal weights and measures. [00:01:55] It's the only just, fair punishment for someone who commits cosmic treason against God and rejects God's means of reconciliation and forgiveness. [00:02:10] Notice it's not just that people go to hell because they reject Jesus. [00:02:15] No, people go to hell because man that was made from the dirt of the ground rises up and raises his fist in defiance against the living God who created him. [00:02:26] People go to hell because they actually sin against God. [00:02:30] And not once, not twice, but with every fiber of their being, every moment of the day. [00:02:35] Genesis 6 is still just as true for man at the inward level, at the heart level today, as it was in the days of Noah. that every intention of his heart was only evil continually. [00:02:48] The only difference in the day of Noah, I think two primary differences, the day of Noah and our day today, at the level of the heart, in speaking of the doctrine of total depravity, how evil man is inwardly in regards to his position towards God, his affections or lack thereof towards God, namely his hatred towards God. [00:03:08] The picture of Genesis 6 is exactly the same in 2022. [00:03:13] of man that is unregenerate, unbelieving, non-Christian man at the level of the heart. [00:03:19] The only difference in Genesis 6 is twofold. [00:03:22] Number one, equally totally depraved inwardly at the level of the heart, but there is a degree, a spectrum of varying degrees of that evil at the heart level being manifest outwardly in deeds and actions. [00:03:36] And in Genesis 6, that evil at the heart level was coming out in various forms of actions, barbaric violence, on a regular basis. [00:03:46] Whereas today, it's not that people are nicer, kinder, no, but those debased urges, that total depravity is being held at bay. [00:03:56] It's being at some degree restrained. [00:03:59] And in part, in large part, the reason why it's being restrained is because of certain laws that we have in the civil sphere because our nation in its founding was founded on Christian principles. [00:04:11] Deuteronomy, Leviticus, these were the texts that were quoted in the founding of our nation. [00:04:16] And those things, penalties for criminals. [00:04:18] Penalties for the vile and the wicked, if they express those things in crimes and great injustices outwardly in their actions, those penalties, the threat of penalties, is causing people to restrain the outward manifestations of the inward evil of their heart. [00:04:35] Inwardly, people today, just as vile as the people in Genesis 6. [00:04:39] Outwardly, there's a much greater level of restraint in terms of actions today, and that's because our society today is on the heels of a prior Christendom. [00:04:50] Now, those foundations are being eroded, and as they are, progressively, we see people, not just at the inward level, but on the outward level as well, in terms of words and deeds and actions, we see our society becoming ever more degraded, ever more degraded, as the foundations that shield, right, that's the second use of the law of God, that it works as a restraint, as a shield, holding back the evil at bay. [00:05:14] And as that shield is further eroded, right, when the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? [00:05:20] As that shield, the second use of the law, is further despised and further eroded, we're now seeing the total depravity that was always there inwardly for those who are unbelievers now beginning to manifest itself visibly in outward deeds and actions, but not to the level of Genesis 6. [00:05:37] That's one difference between people today and the people of the days of Noah, is outward manifestations of evil. [00:05:44] No difference in terms of inward total depravity. [00:05:47] Evil at the level of the heart. [00:05:49] Can I be frank with you for just a second, right here at the end? [00:05:52] Look, some of you guys, you're financially supporting this ministry, and from the bottom of my heart, I say thank you. === Financial Hardship In A Recession (01:27) === [00:05:58] I cannot thank you enough. [00:06:01] However, some of you, you just, you can't afford it. [00:06:05] In fact, some of you, you shouldn't afford it. [00:06:08] Let's be honest. [00:06:09] I mean, we're living in Joe Biden's ridiculous economy. [00:06:13] Our nation and our totalitarian political elites lost their minds over the last three years due to COVID. [00:06:22] We have written checks that we simply cannot cash. [00:06:26] It doesn't matter if people change the definition of a recession. [00:06:30] We are living in a recession right now, regardless. [00:06:34] Some of you are struggling to afford a carton of eggs at the grocery store. [00:06:40] You cannot support financially this ministry at this time, nor should you. [00:06:45] But you could still help us tremendously. [00:06:48] I am asking you, please, if you're willing to do so, Take one minute of your time.
