NXR Podcast - DAILY TRUTH - Faithful Christianity In The Midst Of A Post Modern & Feminist Culture Aired: 2022-10-10 Duration: 05:03 === Misinterpreting Scripture vs Society (04:02) === [00:00:00] Hey guys, real quick before we get started, I have a small request. [00:00:03] If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show, would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five star review? [00:00:09] This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible. [00:00:17] Thanks. [00:00:19] Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. [00:00:25] You're listening to Daily Truth. [00:00:30] Noah's been building an ark for 120 years, and I've never even seen a drop of rain. [00:00:34] I don't think rain's a real thing. [00:00:37] I don't know what he's talking about. [00:00:39] There's old, crazy Noah. [00:00:41] You could just imagine it was probably like a weekly or monthly neighborhood event where all the kids and parents got together and they made a potluck and snacks. [00:00:52] They all went to watch Noah build his ark and laugh and mock because that's what we do. [00:01:01] Because Noah is a preacher. [00:01:03] Hebrews says he was a heralder, that is, a preacher, proclaimer of righteousness. [00:01:09] And that's what we do. [00:01:10] We mock preachers. [00:01:13] And we say, He says judgment's coming. [00:01:16] He says God is holy. [00:01:17] He says God is righteous. [00:01:18] He says that God is just. [00:01:20] Ha! [00:01:22] Pack your lunch. [00:01:24] Bring some toys. [00:01:26] It's weekly Mock Noah Day. [00:01:28] Let's go on down. [00:01:29] Check out his project. [00:01:31] Laugh at him. [00:01:33] Throw stuff at them, right? [00:01:36] Jesus said to Jerusalem, Was there ever a prophet that your fathers did not kill? [00:01:43] Was there ever a prophet that cried out the truth of God that you, covenant Israel, the people of God, the equivalent in many ways of the church today, was there ever a prophet, a preacher that you, people of God, did not kill? [00:02:03] But all of a sudden, our generation is the first exception. [00:02:06] In the history of humanity, all throughout the Old Testament, people mocked faithful preachers. [00:02:10] For 2,000 years of church history, we put to death and mocked faithful preachers. [00:02:13] But all of a sudden, we got it right. [00:02:15] All of a sudden, we're legitimate. [00:02:17] That's going to be our narrative. [00:02:19] That's going to be our conclusion. [00:02:20] We legitimately think that the majority of the American church is right. [00:02:27] And that those who are crying out for truth, that they're the outliers, they're the unbiblical ones, but that the majority is actually right. [00:02:36] Right? [00:02:37] Those guys who are crying out for broad complementarianism, they are misinterpreting the scripture. [00:02:44] That's more likely. [00:02:45] It's more likely that they're misinterpreting the scripture than we live in a society that is infiltrated with feminism. [00:02:52] But we're going to say, no, no, no, you're harsh. [00:03:02] But don't we have different views of women? [00:03:05] Like radically different views than any culture has ever had for thousands and thousands of years? [00:03:09] And isn't it possible? [00:03:11] That might seep into the church? [00:03:12] And isn't it possible that preachers, even in the Reformed tribe, might be watering down their standards and doing things that are unbiblically faithful? [00:03:24] I see what you're saying. [00:03:25] No. [00:03:28] This guy who's saying broad complementarianism stuff, he's a chauvinist pig. [00:03:34] We're going to go with that narrative? [00:03:37] Israel went with that narrative. [00:03:40] The people in the days of Paul and Peter went with that narrative. [00:03:43] The people for the last 2,000 years. [00:03:45] Of church history in the New Testament have gone with that narrative. [00:03:48] And the people in the days of Noah went with that narrative. [00:03:53] Final outcome? [00:03:55] Drowned. [00:03:57] Dead. [00:03:59] Perished. [00:04:01] We must repent. === Conference Price and Reformation Day (01:00) === [00:04:02] Wait, Hold it. [00:04:05] Big announcement. [00:04:06] A scary announcement. [00:04:07] A threat, but also a promise. [00:04:09] The price of our conference, the post millennial and theonomy conference, it's going up. [00:04:15] It's going up right after Reformation Day. [00:04:17] We are going to hold the price at $100, which is super cheap for a three day conference with Dr. James White, Dr. Joseph Boot, Dr. Gary DeMar, and the guy who's not a doctor. [00:04:26] So we'll say, Pastor. Joel Webbin, we've got a great conference, May 5th, 6th, and 7th in Georgetown, Texas, just north of Austin, for $100. [00:04:36] Super cheap, but we can't hold that price forever. [00:04:39] So if you want to get into that price, you got to get in now, right after Reformation Day, not Halloween, Reformation Day, October 31st. [00:04:47] That's the last day that you can get in this conference, register at the price of $100. [00:04:52] After that, starting November 1st, it's going to be $130.
