[00:00:03] If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show, would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five star review? [00:00:09] This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible. [00:00:17] Thanks. [00:00:19] Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. [00:00:25] You're listening to Daily Truth. [00:00:30] As Hosea chapter 6, verse 1 says, Come, let us return to the Lord, for he has torn us that he may heal us. [00:00:38] Not life, but he has torn us that he may heal us. [00:00:44] He has struck us down and he will bind us up. [00:00:50] If you want things to be more hopeful, you must understand that sorrow, And brokenness and contrition over sin and suffering, it is the backdrop for hope. [00:01:10] I just don't understand how people might say, I'm hoping that the preacher would give me something that is hopeful today. [00:01:20] Well, what is it that would be hopeful? [00:01:24] Christ's return? [00:01:26] Salvation? [00:01:28] But all of these things assume that you were once under the wrath of God. [00:01:33] They assume that the wages of sin is death. [00:01:37] They assume that the world actually needs to be restored because it is presently groaning under the weight of sin and suffering, ravaged and decaying, and that you too are decaying. === Why We Need Restoration (01:07) === [00:01:49] You know who you need to talk to? [00:01:51] Talk to those who are older. [00:01:54] Part of the problem is that we're just too young. [00:01:58] Those who are in their 60s and 70s and 80s, they can agree. [00:02:04] more than us with the rocks and trees that groan, that feel, they feel this sense of, I'm passing away. [00:02:16] My strength is failing. [00:02:19] Oh, how I long to be restored. [00:02:23] Come, Lord Jesus, come quickly. [00:02:26] Do not tarry. [00:02:27] That is the message of hope. [00:02:30] And that message of hope is only heard by ears who have first heard the message of sin. [00:02:36] And suffering who appropriately feel the weight of this world. [00:02:40] Thanks so much for listening. [00:02:42] But, real quick, before you go, do us a small favor take a moment and leave us a five star review if you enjoyed the show.
