[00:00:30]  The scripture is clear.
[00:00:33]  As a parent, you have the power and the duty to love your children by removing that which would destroy them, namely rebellion.
[00:00:45]  And it is as simple as applying the rod.
[00:00:50]  What mercy from God!
[00:00:53]  It's not rocket science.
[00:00:56]  It doesn't require you to go to seminary.
[00:00:59]  It doesn't require intricate and complex theology and doctrine.
[00:01:05]  It requires a careful motion of the wrist and love.
[00:01:13]  The Bible also says that he who spares the rod hates his child.
[00:01:20]  We must recognize, as Christian parents, we live in a culture, especially in the state of California, that hates children.
[00:01:31]  Our state hates your children.
[00:01:35]  And if they cannot murder them in the womb, Which is their goal.
[00:01:40]  If they cannot kill and murder your children in the womb, which God designed to be the most safe place on earth, has now become one of the most dangerous places on earth, especially for those who are black.
[00:01:58]  The streets of Chicago are not the most dangerous place for a black man.
[00:02:02]  The womb of his mother has the highest statistical likelihood of him being murdered.
[00:02:10]  And killed.
[00:02:12]  And so, if our state cannot murder your children in the womb, they will attempt to destroy them in the school at the age of five and six in kindergarten.
[00:02:28]  They are earnestly seeking to pass laws so that they can teach your children about same sex relations.
[00:02:34]  And if you train up your children and believe that education is the duty and responsibility that falls not upon the state but upon The family, because the word of God clearly teaches it, then they will still try to destroy your children.
[00:02:51]  If they can't murder them in the womb, if they can't indoctrinate them in the schools, then they will try to take your children from you.
[00:02:59]  Because when they see someone loving a child, they hate it.
[00:03:05]  The Bible says that to spare the rod is to hate the child.
[00:03:10]  To apply the rod, therefore, by implication, is to love the child.
[00:03:14]  When California sees someone loving children, They try to take those children.
[00:03:22]  Our state hates children.
[00:03:25]  As Christians, we should stand in stark contrast.
[00:03:31]  Do you know why our state hates children?
[00:03:33]  Because they hate God.
[00:03:36]  Our state hates children for the very same reason that the serpent hated Adam and Eve.
[00:03:43]  The serpent knew that the immortal God, Cannot be thwarted.
[00:03:49]  The serpent knew that God has no Achilles heel.
[00:03:53]  The serpent knew that there was no vulnerability, no weakness in him that could be exploited.
[00:03:59]  The serpent knew that he is a most pure spirit without body, parts, or passion, that he is the immortal, the omniscient, the omnipotent God.
[00:04:11]  And so he settled for the next best thing.
[00:04:14]  Because he could not harm the God he hated, he would harm those vulnerable image bearers who bear the image of the God he hated.
[00:04:24]  And in the likeness of their father, The devil, the state of California, John chapter 8, children of the devil, if they don't believe in Christ, they too know that they cannot destroy or harm the immortal God.
[00:04:42]  And so they settle for murdering and destroying his image bearers when they are weakest and smallest and most vulnerable in the womb.
[00:04:54]  As Christians, we should stand in stark contrast.
[00:04:59]  Those who hate God, Hate his image everywhere they see it.
[00:05:04]  They magnify the image of whales over the image of God.
[00:05:11]  But we as Christians, because we love God, we love his image.
[00:05:16]  We seek to be fruitful and multiply.
[00:05:19]  We seek to see his image cover the whole face of the earth as the waters cover the sea.
[00:05:28]  This is what we call application.
[00:05:30]  In preaching, this is where people are offended.
