[00:00:30]  Now, notice that in verse 21, it says that they became futile in their thinking and their foolish hearts were darkened.
[00:00:41]  Brothers and sisters, we must recognize there is a progression to sin.
[00:00:47]  There is a progression to sin.
[00:00:50]  Don't let anyone tell you that God has failed.
[00:00:57]  This is what the non believer says.
[00:01:01]  Their narrative is that if there is a God, He has failed to do His part.
[00:01:09]  He has not provided sufficient evidence of His existence, His divine nature, and eternal power.
[00:01:17]  He has been vague.
[00:01:20]  He has been mysterious.
[00:01:22]  That God has failed to clearly produce and display evidence regarding Himself.
[00:01:30]  And therefore, because of God's failure, I was ignorant.
[00:01:36]  And not a culpable ignorance, but innocently ignorant.
[00:01:41]  And from this place of innocent ignorance, eventually, I began to rebel.
[00:01:49]  Because if there is no God, then there is no rebellion against that God.
[00:01:54]  Romans chapter 1 says that all of that narrative is a lie.
[00:02:01]  The Bible says this God has not failed.
[00:02:06]  And how dare man climb up into the judgment seat and begin to accuse God?
[00:02:13]  Man does not get to judge God.
[00:02:15]  Man will be judged by God.
[00:02:17]  God has not failed to sufficiently provide evidence that clearly and plainly speaks to his divine nature and eternal power.
[00:02:28]  God is faithful, he cannot fail.
[00:02:32]  He does all things right and good and perfectly.
[00:02:36]  So God has not failed, but rather been faithful.
[00:02:40]  To speak through what he has made in such a way, so clearly, so plainly, that all men are without excuse.
[00:02:52]  And that the reason that man does not listen is not because he is innocently ignorant and eventually becomes rebellious.
[00:03:00]  The Bible teaches the exact opposite man is rebellious and eventually becomes ignorant.
[00:03:09]  Notice that verse 21 says that they became futile in their thinking.
[00:03:14]  And that their foolish hearts became, is the implication, darkened.
[00:03:20]  See, ignorance stems from rebellion, and not the other way around.
[00:03:27]  People will always claim rebellion as a product of ignorance, and ignorance as a product of God's failure.
[00:03:34]  But the Bible says that when they do this, they are lying and suppressing the truth in deeds of unrighteousness.
[00:03:45]  And so we must say, In the most loving way possible, you're a liar.
[00:03:53]  God is clearly seen.
[00:03:57]  Clearly.
[00:03:58]  And you know him.
[00:04:02]  You're not ignorant and therefore becoming rebellious.
[00:04:07]  In your heart of hearts, you hate God and are rebellious.
[00:04:12]  And from your rebellion, you're becoming increasingly ignorant.
