[00:00:19] Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. [00:00:25] You're listening to Daily Truth. [00:00:32] When a person is being saved, before they're saved, as an unbeliever, the Spirit begins to draw. [00:00:38] There's the effectual call to salvation before regeneration, faith, and repentance. [00:00:44] The call of the Spirit, effectual drawing. [00:00:47] In this drawing, a person becomes profoundly aware that God is holy and that they're a wretch and that they are a dead man walking underneath his just condemnation. [00:01:04] And this fear begins to drive them to the cross. [00:01:07] And this fear is not cruel, it's not mean spirited, it's grace. [00:01:14] Remember Amazing Grace by John Newton? [00:01:16] You could probably recite it by heart, but most people professing Christ today don't even have a clue what it actually means. [00:01:23] Remember the line, 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved.' How many people is this their testament? [00:01:37] Not just. [00:01:38] Grace made me happy and gave me purpose. [00:01:39] That's most people's testimony. [00:01:42] Or even worse than that, grace helped me to be more successful and healthy and wealthy and wise. [00:01:48] Right? [00:01:49] No, grace, not the cruelty of God, grace of God, his grace, his love, his mercy made me miserable and taught my heart to fear, made me recognize that I was a condemned sinner underneath his just wrath, that I was a dead man walking. [00:02:10] It made me realize my guilt. [00:02:16] But then grace led me to the cross where eventually those fears were relieved. === Grace Led Me To The Cross (00:16) === [00:02:21] Thanks so much for listening.
