[00:01:25] Just the other day, my kids, they got into their minds that we're going to go to a water park. [00:01:30] Randomly, like on a Saturday at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. [00:01:33] No? [00:01:33] Well, I'm not taking you. [00:01:37] Good luck. [00:01:38] How you getting there? [00:01:39] Huh? [00:01:39] Like going to a water park? [00:01:40] Sorry. [00:01:41] Well, we're not doing it. [00:01:44] So, you want to. [00:01:45] Doesn't mean anything. [00:01:48] These people, they need someone in their life. [00:01:50] They need someone in their life who will tell them that, and they never had it, and it's ruined them. [00:01:54] They will be failures. [00:01:55] They'd be miserable failures their whole lives because they never had anyone tell them no [00:02:00] Dad is gone like the fact that you want to do something doesn't mean anything [00:02:08] Your desires don't mean anything. [00:02:10] That has no pull. [00:02:11] It has no weight. [00:02:13] Okay? [00:02:14] No one cares that you want to. [00:02:15] There are a lot of things you want to do. [00:02:17] So, that doesn't matter. [00:02:19] The simple fact of wanting doesn't matter. [00:02:23] You know why? [00:02:23] Because everyone else has things that they want. [00:02:25] So, why would they be focused on what you want? [00:02:27] You're not focused on what anyone else wants. [00:02:28] You're only thinking about yourself. [00:02:30] I want, I want, I want. [00:02:31] Me, me, me. [00:02:32] Mine, mine, mine, mine. [00:02:34] You think anyone else is operating any differently, really, at the end of the day? [00:02:37] If you want something, go out and get it. [00:02:39] Go out and work for it. [00:02:40] If you really want it. [00:03:39] I hate it! [00:03:40] There are men on this app putting on crusty wigs, pretending to be women, making bands and bands and bands and bands of money! [00:03:50] And I have to clock in! [00:03:51] Clock in! [00:03:52] Clock in! [00:03:53] I want to do absolutely freaking nothing and make money! [00:04:00] I don't wanna clock in! [00:04:02] No! [00:04:04] No! [00:04:05] No more clock-ins! [00:04:07] It was you. [00:04:09] You did it to me. [00:04:09] Okay, no, turn it off. [00:04:11] Turn it off. [00:04:12] Turn it off! [00:04:13] Speaking of not having fathers, well, I mean, he had me for a moment on their men pretending to be women bit, so I, you know, he won. [00:04:21] I had a moment of like, okay, I can respect this guy, but then that all dissipated pretty quickly. [00:04:25] I struggle so much with this because I can't even relate to the desire to do nothing. [00:04:31] I don't have that in me. [00:04:33] Really, you want to do nothing? [00:04:34] What kind of life is that? [00:04:36] Really, you want to spend every day Not doing anything? [00:04:40] That to me sounds like a nightmare. [00:04:43] You're in hell and that's just not an improvement. [00:04:46] If you want something in life, you can actually have it if you're willing to work. [00:04:50] And here's the thing. [00:04:51] So this is where the American dream is still alive. [00:04:56] I believe it is. [00:04:58] And the reason I say that is this. [00:04:59] If you You are actually willing to work harder than almost everybody else, if you really are willing to put in the time. === Working Harder Than Others (00:51) === [00:05:06] And part of working hard is also developing skills, which you will kind of naturally do as you're working hard. [00:05:13] And if you'll do that, you will be successful. [00:05:16] Look at anyone around you who you would consider successful. [00:05:21] And what you're going to find is there's a common thread that ties almost all them together, which is that they work harder than you. [00:05:30] They just do. [00:05:31] So while you're whining because you have to work one hour past your 9 to 5 deadline, they're working 13 hours and not complaining about it. [00:05:40] Like, that's what it takes. [00:05:42] And if you're not willing to do that, fine. [00:05:44] Nobody's gonna force you. [00:05:46] You'll live a mediocre life, and you won't have all the things you want, and that's it. [00:05:52] You can be a loser. [00:05:53] You can be a loser. [00:05:54] Just don't complain about it. [00:05:55] That's all I'm asking.
