The Matt Walsh Show - Reviewing Workplace Harassment Training For Woke Companies Aired: 2021-02-27 Duration: 06:12 === Severe Pervasive Harassment (06:11) === [00:00:00] So if you follow this channel, you know that we've been reviewing workplace sensitivity training courses. [00:00:05] The kind that a lot of HR departments force their employees to watch. [00:00:09] Mine doesn't, but I've taken on this project anyway by choice because of my deep-seated masochism and self-hatred. [00:00:16] The company that makes these videos is called M-Train. [00:00:18] They work with a lot of major companies to help indoctrinate, I mean educate, educate people on how to avoid harassing, assaulting, Or being racist towards their co-workers. [00:00:27] A lot of times we'll watch a bunch of videos, but this time I want to focus on just one. [00:00:31] Because this, I believe, is the worst one yet. [00:00:34] The absolute worst. [00:00:35] It's the worst because of the real-world consequences of, if not this specific video, the sort of thing the video represents. [00:00:44] So you'll see what I mean. [00:00:45] We'll get into this now. [00:00:46] This is titled, Examples of Severe and Pervasive Workplace Harassment. [00:00:51] So let's check this out. [00:00:53] (soft music) [00:00:55] So will I see you at that three o'clock? [00:01:01] Yeah, I'll be there. [00:01:02] Oh, you got a... [00:01:04] Got it. [00:01:06] I haven't had sex in a month. [00:01:13] Well, excuse me. [00:01:20] What school did you go to? [00:01:21] Arizona State. [00:01:22] I didn't know they had hot girls at ASU. [00:01:28] Did you see Lisa's dress today? [00:01:30] Hell yeah, man. [00:01:31] What's that thing, spray painted on? [00:01:33] I don't want it spray painted at all. [00:01:37] They promoted her? [00:01:38] I know five guys more qualified than that. [00:01:41] Only five. [00:01:43] (dramatic music) [00:01:46] Ah, okay. [00:02:12] So that's what they mean. [00:02:14] So let's go through these. [00:02:16] I took notes. [00:02:16] I wrote this down. [00:02:17] Not really, but this is severe and pervasive harassment. [00:02:21] Severe and pervasive. [00:02:24] And the examples are, we start with somebody picks some lint off of her shirt. [00:02:30] OK, now that one, a little inappropriate. [00:02:32] You know, he didn't appear to touch her breasts, but too close for comfort for her, perhaps. [00:02:37] A little bit iffy. [00:02:38] Harassment, though? [00:02:40] I don't think so. [00:02:40] Severe? [00:02:42] Come on. [00:02:42] And the other thing is a common thread we see in all these incidents. [00:02:45] The person who's the victim doesn't speak up for themselves. [00:02:47] Like if you're uncomfortable with somebody touching you, say something, speak up for yourself. [00:02:53] Then she briefly hears a guy say the word sex to another guy as they're coming off an elevator. [00:02:58] Harassment? [00:02:59] No, it's not even directed to her. [00:03:01] Severe? [00:03:03] What is this, Victorian England? [00:03:07] This shows how our culture has at once become hedonistic and way too open about sex at the same time. [00:03:12] So you think about songs like WAP, for example, okay? [00:03:15] We have songs like that, but then at the same time, we're like downright puritanical. [00:03:20] So you touch a woman's sweater or say a word around her, and you're essentially guilty of sexual assault. [00:03:26] But then, WAP is a popular song. [00:03:28] It's the strangest dynamic. [00:03:30] You can make a song graphically describing various intimate areas of the body and various states of arousal, and that's fine. [00:03:37] You can put that one on at Applebee's while the family's eating dinner at 5pm. [00:03:41] No problem. [00:03:42] But a woman literally hears a guy say, sex, and she's been assaulted. [00:03:47] Next, a guy calls her hot. [00:03:50] Okay, again, shouldn't be saying that at work. [00:03:52] Not professional. [00:03:53] Harassment? [00:03:54] It's a compliment. [00:03:55] Severe? [00:03:56] Severe what? [00:03:57] Severe complimenting? [00:03:58] She's a victim of severe complimenting. [00:04:01] And then a few days later, she overhears two guys in a stairwell talking about somebody else's outfit, saying that some other woman is wearing a tight dress. [00:04:09] Once again, inappropriate for the workplace, sure. [00:04:11] Harassment? [00:04:12] Of her? [00:04:13] It wasn't directed at her, nor was it about her. [00:04:16] Either way, she was literally on a different floor of the building, hearing it said about somebody else, and she's being harassed? [00:04:24] I mean, get over yourself, darling. [00:04:25] Not everyone's focused on you. [00:04:28] And next, again, she overhears. [00:04:29] I mean, this girl cannot stop eavesdropping. [00:04:31] She's just constantly listening, looking at what's on people's screens. [00:04:36] She overhears two guys talking about presumably some other woman who they think shouldn't have been promoted. [00:04:41] So what? [00:04:42] Nothing sexual about that. [00:04:44] Nothing gender specific. [00:04:46] It's not about her. [00:04:47] Not directed to her. [00:04:49] Then after that, you have two dudes looking over towards her when she bends down. [00:04:53] Then another guy is looking in her direction. [00:04:55] You know, again, iffy. [00:04:57] I mean, that could go either way. [00:04:58] And I guess we're supposed to assume he was looking at her breasts. [00:05:00] And then she sees the wallpaper on somebody's laptop. [00:05:04] And there are pictures of scantily clad women who are mostly covered up. [00:05:07] It looks like they're wearing bathing suits. [00:05:09] And then somebody taps her on the hip so they can get past her. [00:05:12] So that's it. [00:05:13] That's all we got. [00:05:15] There are maybe, maybe, okay, two or three actually inappropriate behaviors documented in the video. [00:05:23] None of them are severe or close to severe. [00:05:27] If a guy saying sex is severe harassment, then what word do we use to describe actual harassment? [00:05:36] Because if non-harassment is severe, then what do we say about real harassment when it actually happens? [00:05:43] I guess non-harassment is severe harassment, so real harassment is now, like, what, fatal? [00:05:47] It's fatal harassment? [00:05:50] The consequence, again, is that women, you know, they take this stuff to heart because they're brainwashed by garbage like this, and next thing you know, lives are ruined. [00:06:00] That's the consequence. [00:06:02] That woman in the video is gonna go file a lawsuit, get a whole bunch of people fired. [00:06:08] But on the bright side, at least, we're protecting, you know, the ladies from hearing the word sex at work.
