	In the meantime, Nick, before we get on to any of our main stories, we have to talk about the coward Elon Musk and what he is doing over at Twitter.
	Over the weekend, completely out of nowhere, with absolutely no warning, the entire app basically stopped working completely.
	We all started receiving messages that we had gone over our rate limits.
	Elon posted something that was totally inscrutable about having to limit the rate limits to unsubscribing people and subscribers.
	It made absolutely no sense.
	Nick, I have to assume for you and me both, it seemed at times as if we were actually limited, and other times we weren't limited.
	Everybody understands that this was complete and utter bullshit.
	I cannot believe that this site that plays such an important role in American culture is continuing to be drugged down and destroyed.
	Well, I will then take the word of a lot of people who are weighing in who, you know, at least claim to be in that, you know, expert in that kind of stuff with servers and data and whatnot.
	And yes, they thought that this notion that there was too many people scraping data was causing these things that having them limit the amount of tweets.
	You can see 6,000 if you were a blue check and 600 if you weren't, which is I was out of my rate by like 8 a.m.
	And I think it was because my phone was on.
	I wasn't looking at Twitter.
	So, is it a coincidence that they hadn't been paying Google for their platform to use their data management on July 1st is when it ended and they hadn't been paying the bill and perhaps Google had started to throttle the amount that they could use?
	Is that a coincidence or not?
	I would probably say it's related.
	What's incredible about it is there are four or five different things that probably came together to create this problem.
	Like the not paying their Google bill.
	They're also the way that they've wired the thing together.
	Basically at this point it's like a 1980s Goonies contraption that is only working because there's a like an oversized wad of bubble gum in the circuits.
	At this point, it basically was attacking itself, eating itself.
	We have no idea what happened in this entire thing.
	It's probably all of the above.
	And he just lied about it.
	He just completely and utterly lied about it and then brought us back.
	And this is something.
	This is a millennial special or a Gen X special.
	Nick, it's like the old days when you only had like an hour of internet every day.
	I don't know if people remember that, but like the first few times when you got on the internet, it was like you were rationed.
	And for a site that depends on advertisers to have people see what's happening, it's incredible how much this man has screwed this thing up while also going ahead and throwing this thing into the cesspool.
	I shake my head almost every single day at how absurd this entire situation has been.
	Yeah, and it's also not as if the site had been working normally anyway for a while.
	All sorts of weird stuff that keeps happening.
	So yeah, this will be a thing that I think, you know, business schools will study about like what you're not supposed to do.
	That said, he's still there.
	It is still on our phones.
	Like, you know, I thought maybe we would have By now it would have imploded.
	So somehow they're keeping this thing together, having obliterated the whole departments that would have helped what was going on, among other things.
	So it's a problem, but it also goes to, you know, it shows you how when you're desperate, this is what you have to resort to.
	The kind of obfuscation and lies that he's trying to do because he has to put on a cheery face, which is very much that, you know, power of positive thinking that we see from certain people on certain sides of the political spectrum.
	Yeah, we love it.
	All right, for our main story of the day, Nick, the Supreme Court.
	I mean, what a beautiful court.
	What a lovely, upstanding institution.
	They gave us just some wonderful parting gifts.
	By the way, telling us that the next time that they're meeting, they're going to figure out whether or not it's unconstitutional to keep domestic abusers from owning handguns.
	We love it, folks.
	We love making America great again.
	But before they shuffled off into whatever hellhole they returned to, they did us a real, real solid.
	They went ahead, they affirmed discrimination against LGBTQ Americans, which we got to talk about that here in just a second, but they also went ahead and scuttled Biden's student debt forgiveness program, which again was supposed to provide upwards of $10,000 of relief, not nearly enough for the fraud that has been perpetrated on an entire generation, which we'll talk more about in a second.
	But they basically just went ahead, screwed that over, said you can't do that.
	Biden has now said that he's going to try and find a back door with it.
	But yeah, what a great middle finger to America this was.
	You know, the crux of the matter with the Creative 303 case, there was no underlying request to do this website for a gay couple, right?
	Whoever they cited, and they had the vitals in there, when they followed up, turns out he was married and it was a web designer himself, and had never had requested this.
	And yet, the Supreme Court didn't mind, because they figured, well, it is going to come up, so let's just take care of it now.
	And if there has ever been a more clear-cut example of how they're just in this for their religious fervor, basically, is what I'm going to try and, you know, interpret this as.
	This is not for the courts.
	The courts can't be like injecting their own like, you know, such a degree where they're getting their own like morals and values on everybody else in the country.
	It's kind of just disgusting.
	You want to throw in the whole thing what they're doing with all these like, you know, they found all, you know, Alito is traveling for free on these things once in 2008, whatever.
	It ain't just once 15 years ago, right?
	This is just I'm sure a precedent that they've been doing.
	So if you mix all that together, I mean, this is just corruption.
	This is not this is this is the complete misuse of the Supreme Court and is exactly what they wanted is exactly what Mitch McConnell knew when he was getting these guys in and this is a scary time.
	I think I've been walking around a bit of a daze the last month and I think it's related to this and what would this could ultimately play out as.
	Nick, I gotta tell you, I find what you've said really disturbing.
	I just want to read what the Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, Chief Justice, has said.
	This is incredible.
	He writes in his opinion, quote, It has become a disturbing feature of some recent opinions to criticize the decisions with which they disagree as going beyond the proper role of the judiciary, he says.
	So, Nick, I don't know what to say.
	So, Nick, I don't know what to say. I don't know what to say.
	The egg is on your face.
	I guess so.
	But by the way, that was kind of a nice thing.
	I mean, I think he's maybe trying to say to Sotomayor, hey, can you cool it a little bit with like, you know, the dissents?
	Because again, we mentioned this in the last show, they've gotten so good at just the outrage and the way they describe it is so clearly rational where they're coming from.
	But it also tells you that these guys are listening.
	They hear, you know, the criticism of them.
	So it's not like they're living in some ivory tower, but it almost feels like they're, yeah, we're going to say, not only do they hear it, but they're like, we're going to rub it in your face.
	Oh, they love it.
	They really, really want.
	That's the thing about the Supreme Court and Roberts that really gets me is not only do they want the power that you were talking about, right, to just go ahead and legislate from the bench, but what they actually want is they want you to say, thank you.
	May I have another?
	That's the really awful part about this.
	It's not enough that they've captured power.
	It's that they want you to pretend that it's all okay.
	And I want to point out in these two cases, first of all, Stewart in the LGBTQ entire mess, was completely made up.
	That's not how the Supreme Court's supposed to work.
	They're not supposed to just all of a sudden pick these things up in order to go ahead and push their own opinions and their own values and to wield power like this.
	Something like this should actually lead to, oh, Wait a second.
	Something went wrong here and something needs to be done here.
	Same thing with all the corruption that you've brought up.
	How Alito has handled himself.
	How Clarence Thomas has handled himself.
	How they have not recused themselves and they've had these ethical problems.
	But I also want to go ahead and talk real fast about the student debt case.
	Nick, it's really incredible to me the way that this has been framed, that like, oh, well, you can't just go ahead and wipe away debt.
	What this is actually about, and I want to make this very clear, it's about that the powerful in this country created a social experiment in the 1990s.
	And in the 1990s, with the ushering in of globalization, with all of the neoliberal pushes that they had, they said everybody in America basically has to go to college.
	You are either going to work in the service industry and be left behind, or you're going to go to college.
	Them's the breaks, as Boris Johnson says.
	Right?
	Like, you either are going to go ahead, and by the way, if you can't afford college, well guess what?
	You're going to have to take out the loans.
	And that was the social and economic experiment that they carried out.
	Turns out they didn't create any sort of a social safety net.
	They didn't help anybody with any of this.
	They cut out the hole underneath them.
	This was a travesty and a fraud that was carried out on an entire generation, which made a captive economic audience, which made people take out loans, and it made the universities hike up the amount that they could charge for these things in order to go back and forth and to profit off of this captive audience.
	That's what this is actually about.
	It's about actually addressing a social and political economic experiment that was carried out on people.
	It's not a freebie, it's not a free ride, and what has been done here is the Supreme Court said, no, I'm sorry, nobody's going to get helped.
	Period.
	Well, I'm willing to think that there was some earnestness going on in the beginning when they thought they could help people get to college, right?
	I think that was a noble idea.
	Sure, sure.
	But with the loan, the predatory loans, it allowed universities, for instance, to not have to deal with scholarships or providing financial aid from that end because they can offload that to these private companies that were completely bilking these poor students.
	So, you know, it's it doesn't make a lot of sense, again, to argue with the right about whether you're being hypocritical or not is is an exercise in insanity.
	Right.
	But like, you know, the idea that they would be OK with farmer subsidies or bailouts for auto industry or any other bailouts that we've had in the last 25 years.
	You know, that isn't the problem.
	But when it comes to people, you know, and then the characterization and the lying that you see from a lot of the pundits about this and about how wealthy they think people are that are still going to get the benefits of the loan deal from Biden is ridiculous.
	Most of this stuff is going to help people who are really having problems making ends meet and who did not achieve what they were promised or what they thought they were promised by enrolling in college, right?
	It wasn't some panacea that all of a sudden you go four years in college, you're going to get an amazing job and make all this money.
	That's not how it always worked, but then they'd have all these counselors and advisors when you're, you know, an 18 year old getting out of high school who are telling you, well, yeah, it's no problem.
	Just get this loan and don't worry about it.
	Next thing you know, it's a variable rate and 20 years later, You're paying more than you ever had borrowed times 10.
	You're never going to pay it back.
	It really is a problem, and it wouldn't have been that hard to just at least give people a break.
	And it's shocking to me that we couldn't get that far.
	Yeah, I mean, we all saw this coming the moment that this got on their docket.
	We know what these people are.
	We know what the 6-3 supermajority is all about.
	I want to go ahead and I want to give some advice.
	There are people within the Biden administration within the Democratic Party that listen to this podcast.
	Let me give you a free piece of advice.
	Go after the Supreme Court.
	For the entirety of moving into 2024, look at every one of these decisions.
	And if you don't want to run against, I don't know, if you don't want to have to deal with Donald Trump, if you don't want to have to deal with a primary challenge, you don't want to do any of that stuff, make the Supreme Court what's at stake.
	Say, this is what they've done.
	Here is an entire legislative agenda that takes care of all of this stuff.
	Here's where we're going to go ahead and codify a woman's bodily autonomy.
	Here's where we're going to go ahead and codify the fairness of voting.
	Here's how we're going to go ahead and we'll take care of student debt relief.
	Here's how we're going to go ahead and make sure that domestic abusers aren't going to get handguns.
	Here's how we're going to do this.
	Here's how we're going to do that.
	Have an actual plan.
	Quit just saying this stuff.
	Quit just giving speeches.
	Lay out a large legislative agenda that, by the way, would dwarf Contract with America that the Republicans had in the so-called Republican Revolution.
	Have a plan that you can sit there and point to.
	Make the entire thing a referendum on what has happened with this court and what the Republican Party has rolled away.
	Do it.
	That's all you need to do.
	That's all you need to tell the people going into 2024. - But also frame what Creative 303 stands for.
	I think that they need to be able to, and obviously it's not hard to be truthful in framing what that means to be able to take away rights of the LGBTQ community.
	That's really what they're doing.
	Now they're thinking that it's, you're forcing someone whose religious beliefs are against what these people stand for.
	You know, what a gay couple's morals stand for, for instance.
	But that's a real easy framing to then say, they're not going to stop there.
	And they won't.
	We know they're not going to stop there because we've seen the progression to get to here.
	So what's frightening to me, and by the way, it's not a very good business decision to turn away business.
	Why turn away money?
	Isn't aren't the evangelicals aren't they all about like clearly you're touched by God if you make a lot of money like this is money should be important to them I have no idea why and by the way and supposedly this woman says that she would do work uh for gay people uh as long as it's not violating her beliefs but like what what so I guess in her mind because it's a marriage website then oh that's a bridge too far but I'll do a website for a gay owner of a bar for instance or something like that
	I don't think, I don't even see how that works, but it wouldn't take a lot of a stretch to imagine that the next person will come along and say, well, I so don't agree with the gay lifestyle that I simply can't do anything for them.
	That's not legal.
	It's not supposed to be legal.
	And I know that no one wants to compel anybody to do work for somebody else, but at the very least, you know, you're not, you can't discriminate against people like this and that they're protected class.
	It is, um, It is, it's just, you know, it's a farce.
	This is a farce of a court.
	I want to make something abundantly clear.
	The reason that we live in a constitutional republic, the reason why we live with a representative government with laws, is because in the 18th century there was a revolt against religious based society.
	Because millions upon millions of people had been butchered in genocidal wars around the world.
	That basically destabilized literally everything that had happened.
	And they got together and they said, we need laws that go beyond religion.
	Everybody can have their religion, but we need laws that go ahead and make sure that create a cohesive society.
	The moment that you start saying, I'm not going to do this because I don't agree with them religiously and it leads to discrimination, that is a direct refusal of living in that society.
	You can try and change the law if you want, but that is not what the law says.
	We have laws against this shit.
	You cannot just go and say on the bench, yeah, it's a constitutional right to violate these laws.
	That's what they're doing.
	That's what they're saying.
	And the moment you give these people an inch, which we have done, I hate to tell you, they're going to take a long, long mile.
	The worst part about this is that they're hiding behind the religion.
	Because, you know, lots of things in religion say love thy neighbor as they love thyself.
	There you go using their words against them, Nick.
	There you go using their facts against them.
	There's a lot of shit in there you know better than me for the New Testament, at least, that you can't really live by.
	But that's what's so disgusting.
	There's hatred.
	There's hatred here, and they're allowed to then use their religion as a cover for simply expressing their hatred toward other people.
	And it permeates everything.
	By the way, the student loan thing.
	The reaction of people and the dunking they want to do on people just because they feel like these are clearly people who should have taken a class before they got this loan and had a degree in economics before you get to college, before you get this loan.
	It's your fault.
	I'm not giving you any of my money to do this.
	It's not their money that's going to this.
	That is such a disgusting ideology and framework for how you want to view the world, and that is growing.
	That is what's making me walking around in a daze last month and a half.
	It's like that there are so many people out here who are happy to be on that side and happy to just vent their hatred out into the world.
	Yeah, and we want to get into this.
	Actually, this brings us to our next topic.
	There was a An interesting ad that was released by Florida governor and candidate for president and Republican nomination, Ron DeSantis.
	Nick, we're going to play this thing, and we talked about it before we started recording.
	It's a very visual ad, so we want to go ahead and set the tone for this.
	But before we do, I want to point out that this thing is not just an ad that like attacks Donald Trump, which it absolutely does.
	This is an ad that literally Bases Ron DeSantis's appeal to Republicans on an anti-LGBTQ platform.
	This is literally an ad that is about you should choose DeSantis over Trump because he's the actual person who is against the LGBTQ community, which is a change.
	That is an actual change in Republican politics that we need to get into.
	Before we play this, there's a couple of places, and you should go watch this if you can.
	This includes frames of Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, one neo-fascistic meme after another.
	This is a lot.

	All right, so here we go.
	We're going to pause and kind of discuss things because I want you to know, Jared, I pulled this apart frame by frame because I wanted to list all the references that they were using and understand what elements they had put together.
	So we'll talk about all these things.

	All right, here we go.
	I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens.
	For anybody who isn't watching this, it was Trump speaking at the Republican National Convention, which by the way, Nick, I was at.
	And while Trump was professing that he would protect that LGBT community, there were people all around me screaming, Anti-LGBTQ slurs.
	That's the reaction that that had.
	But this does show that.
	Also, by the way, Nick, how would you define the soundtrack of this thing?
	Because I would say it's sneeringly homophobic.
	Yeah, well, okay, so a couple things.
	First of all, this was also not long after the Pulse nightclub shooting.
	Yes.
	So this was in a moment where everything was raw and nerves were frayed and we were, you know, very concerned about what was going on in the community or in the country about this.
	So, you know, kudos for Trump for saying, by the way, it almost sounds, it almost sounds like we like Donald Trump for saying what he was saying, right?
	Right, like that was kind of a crazy time.
	The music is by somebody named Syko, S-Y-K-O, and it's called Brooklyn Blood Pop!
	And it was a viral hit on TikTok.
	It started in May 2021.
	So obviously whoever is doing this is either, you know, an older guy, you know, trying to imitate kids or someone in there who's like, yeah, we got to use this song because it's a viral hit from the Whoever, and by the way, this is actually one thing I'm going to get into in a little bit in dissecting this thing.
	This is absolutely a very online-focused video.
	Like, that's what this is.
	This is a younger member of the DeSantis staff that spliced this thing together.
	Yeah, and I think what you're also getting is, it's kind of the club music.
	It's evoking, like, a gay club and gay guys dancing around.
	Saying, hey, Trump's too gay, is what it's saying.
	Right, exactly.
	Now, he's holding up a pride flag that says LGBTs for Trump.
	So the Q wasn't in there.
	And then another text that flies over Trump campaign website offers LGBTQ for Trump t shirts.
	And then they show that that online it was by way of 24 bucks.
	That's not too bad.
	I'm surprised it was that cheap.
	Now let's keep going.
	Okay, Caitlyn Jenner.
	Now, wouldn't it be nice if someone did a video talking about how they want to help people get more jobs, get more training, figure out better health care for people?
	be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses. - That is correct. - Okay, Caitlyn Jenner.
	Now, wouldn't it be nice if someone did a video talking about how they want to help people get more jobs, get more training, figure out better healthcare for people.
	- Bathrooms, baby.
	- Yeah, so Caitlyn Jenner, which bathroom?
	And he, of course, he let Caitlyn Jenner.
	Of course, Caitlyn Jenner is rich and white, right?
	So, I don't know, let her choose what bathroom they want.
	But again, this is Trump sounding remarkably progressive here.
	But that's who Trump was before he figured out how much money there was to be made, not being that.
	Like that's who Trump was.
	People forget that Trump was like a major proponent of a woman's right to choose.
	The next thing you know he's telling, I believe it was Chuck Todd, that we need to enforce the death penalty on people who engage in abortion.
	Like, that's the whole point here, is like, DeSantis' group is actually making a point, which is that Donald Trump has been all over the place with this stuff.
	But holding this against him in terms of the issues we're talking about, it's so homophobic.
	It's so crazy.
	Sure.
	And we got photos.
	What's this kind of handshake called?
	It's like in Commando, when Dutch and Arnold Schwarzenegger, you know, see each other.
	Right.
	We're going to focus on, and for those who can't see this, it's Donald Trump and Caitlyn Jenner like embracing hands, like showing them together as if that's supposed to make you dislike him more.
	But they're shaking like they're going to have an arm wrestling.
	That's the kind of grip they have.
	And then the next picture, by the way, is Ivanka.
	next to Caitlyn Jenner.
	So they're bringing the whole family in here, you know, any way they can.
	The headlines, and they're throwing headlines across all of this, which is going to be important in a minute when we get to the later part of the video.
	But this one was Donald Trump sides with Disney.
	The former president goes for woke to trash Ron DeSantis.
	Sorry, goes for woke instead of goes for broke to trash Ron DeSantis.
	You know, now this is, this is actually pretty good.
	If I were Ron DeSantis's crew, because they can tie in Disney all with all this thing in there, a war on there.
	I mean, good in a bad way, but like, I can see the, some, some amount of thinking going on behind this.
	And when I use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses.
	That is good.
	In the future, can transgender women compete in this universe?
	Yes.
	Make America great again.
	Okay.
	So do you know who this person is?
	No, I just, they're using this whole thing about the fact that Trump was fine with transgender participants, which again shows who he was and what he was about.
	People forget this is a cosmopolitan New York guy.
	Like, that's who he was!
	And then all of a sudden Fox News like platformed him.
	But he's also so twisted with like looks that like, you know, it didn't matter if the person was sort of beautiful, you know, makeup and the whole thing that doesn't he doesn't give a shit at that point who it is.
	And that's the thing like this is not a person who has like deeply held ideologies outside of like how to like Use people.
	That's all that this is about.
	Like, Donald Trump wasn't, like, letting transgender people into this pageant because he cared about them.
	He did it because it was going to earn him points with New York communities and also maybe even, like, juice ratings.
	Like, it's not like he actually cared about these people.
	Anyway.
	And by the way, that was Lady Magga, who, if you're watching in the video, it's, you know, a trans person who, a trans woman who was, who is completely Magga, which doesn't make sense, right?
	So you kind of start to wonder, is this some sort of a grift going on here?
	Uh, I looked it up.
	It's, it's a, it's on Wikipedia.
	It says it's a character played by Ryan Woods, a political activist and social media influencer and drag artist, but from Salt Lake City of all places.
	All right.
	He also says that he's a member of, um, you know, uh, LDS.
	So we have entered into a political sphere where you have no idea what you're doing anymore.
	Like literally.
	I mean, it's true that it's become so warped and strange.
	go ahead go ahead it's it's it's it's a bunch of memes it's a bunch of memes of de santis looking like a war god this is one of the far rights things it's a neo-fascist idea the the dark de santis idea
	we're seeing a bunch of headlines about how he's reigning in uh lgbtq influence in florida going after woke disney whatever meanwhile we're seeing memes of patrick bateman who for anybody who doesn't know this from american psycho the book or the movie is literally a serial killer literally Literally a person who murders, well, we don't need to get into what the book does and how a movie does, but they're literally saying that DeSantis is a killer.
	They're showing him with all these criminals and all these hardasses and saying, hey, this is like the real tough guy.
	That Trump isn't, and this music and everything that we're seeing is saying that he is the real deal.

	Yeah, it was just another thing where you had a community event that had some people in drag and it had, you know, maybe kids around, God forbid, High school!
	It was for after school after school at a high school to have the safe space for kids to discuss these things and have some donuts and have a you know have a little bit of a fun time and a real discussion.
	That's just so stupid.
	And all of a sudden out of the blue easily cancel it.
	Now here's the interesting one.

	And they cover a lot of it, you can't see all of it, you know what it is, but it's behind it, with a DeSantis seems unstoppable headline or quote from an article.
	And there it is.
	It's just basically saying that DeSantis, and the funniest part is they're like owning this idea that everyone thinks that DeSantis is evil.
	They're just saying he's good evil.
	That's literally what they're saying while they're showing like so-called crying liberals and panicking liberals.
	They're saying good is what they're saying.
	Yeah.
	And by the way, the music, as it's switched, is rave.
	But it's also, by the way, a new kind of genre, which my son was talking to me about literally, like, a week ago.
	Funk.

	Anyway, funk is this sort of house, aggressive house music, which is, again, groovy, but, like, aggressive and angry.

	You know, I was going to ask for the orange because obviously Florida, it was, this seems like a total Photoshop thing.

	I'm like, oh, they really going towards, you know.
	That's actually, that is actually a real time magazine cover.

	Yeah, poor Time Magazine is not, like, in the culture of what we're used to.

	They're not going to talk about how he's empathetic and he cares about people, he understands people, right?

	DeSantis is smart and capable, and he'll go ahead and make sure.
	Which, by the way, we haven't talked about this, Nick.
	He's been laying out his agenda.
	And literally everything that he's been saying that he wants to accomplish as President of the United States is, I'll do what Trump did, but I'll do it better, and I'll do it more cruelly.
	As a matter of fact, we'll go ahead and we'll use lethal force at the border.
	We're not just going to go ahead and separate families and torture immigrants and sterilize them.
	We're going to go ahead and kill some of them.
	Like, that's the whole point that is getting across, which is, hey, you want me to be a neo-fascist?
	I'll be a neo-fascist.
	If that's what you need, I'll do it.
	That's fine.
	And the Trump campaign is complaining that they're just copying and pasting their own campaign.
	And meanwhile, it's going to get worse.
	They're going to have to try and keep one upping each other.
	And I kind of will enjoy that because in theory, it'll push them so extreme, they'll turn off enough that whoever gets to the presidential election, you know, should be unelectable in theory.
	I will not enjoy it.
	I think it's going to push this country further and further into violence and discord.
	I think it's pretty bad.
	We shall see.

	Now, this is interesting to me because we have TopGov in the TopGun font.
	If you remember, that was the ad in which he was playing an airline, a jet pilot, where he's like, this is how you attack the media.
	You don't take their bait!
	You don't, you don't do this!
	And he was, like, basically trying to push the fact that he was a veteran.
	Then, of course, we have Patrick Bateman once more.
	And then we have the line, a wolf had finally arrived.
	A real wolf had finally arrived.
	Because that's who he is now.
	He is a killer.
	And then we see Jordan Belfort from Wolf of Wall Street.
	I love it.
	Now, here's the thing.
	By the way, Wolf of Wall Street, one of my favorite movies.
	Patrick Bateman, again, there are a hundred close-ups of him in this movie, and they can choose any one of them.
	And so they choose one where his eyes are closed, he's meditating, I guess, listening to the headphones.
	I really wish I could remember exactly what this scene was.
	I think he's listening to Lady in Red.
	Oh, this is Lady in Red?
	Okay, right.
	Again, it's just insane.
	I'm not wrong.
	I think he's listening to Lady in Red in this particular clip at the end.
	Red suspenders, blue tie, you know, power, whatever.
	Does this feel any kind of overly masculine to you, though?
	I think it's trying, and again, Nick, I don't know that these people understand exactly what they're communicating.
	You know what I mean?
	I think they're so lost in themselves that, like, what they're actually, like, they keep putting forth actually really beautiful men.
	Like just really really good looking men who are just sort of having a good time.
	I don't think they understand what they're communicating and I think that it's it's part of the fact that the right has such a weird messed up psychosexual foundation.
	They really truly don't know what like the reason why they're anti-LGBTQ is because they hate themselves.
	And they hate, by extension, the LGBTQ community.
	And so as a result, none of these ads or anything that we're looking at is going to be even remotely self-aware.
	Oh, I mean, absolutely.
	Now, the Jordan Belfort is free as frame.
	This is interesting to me, too, because he's on the yacht and he's talking with the FBI officer who was investigating him at the time.
	And that laugh is indicating, like, I am so guilty and maybe you're never, ever going to get me is what he's saying.
	And again, they're not thinking about this kind of stuff when they're putting this together.
	They think it's a laugh.
	It's a good laugh that makes it feel like you're dunking on somebody.
	But I don't know.
	There's something that the layers to this that I'm picking up on.
	And it's like you shouldn't.
	They're saying the wrong thing.
	This is a problem here that they're trying to get.
	Now, it probably goes over the head of the people they're, you know, appealing to, but still.
	Yeah.
	And then you want to talk about weird, unconscious things.
	The last thing that this ends on Is a cartoon of Ron DeSantis half-submerged in a swamp next to an alligator with alligator teeth and evil eyes.
	Like, again, the point of all of this is that he's a killer, and that he's dangerous, and that that's why you- well, actually, that's right, Nick, you- Nick is now fast-forwarding to a big giant muscle man in a Speedo, flexing his muscles.
	It's- it's- it's- there- I still can't believe that this got put out.
	I really can't.
	Because it's such a jackpot of what this is.
	He's walking around in like a Top Gun flight suit and then all of a sudden we have a big oiled up muscle man flexing.
	Like, it's such a jackpot of right-wing psychosexual confusion.
	Yeah.
	It's so strange.
	You could say it's homoerotic.
	It's unintentionally.
	That's the thing.
	And listen, if we were going to dissect the whole thing and like get into every particular, we'd be here for years.
	That's what therapy's for.
	Yeah.
	Yeah, Buttigieg is brilliant when he goes on these shows.
	He'll go on Fox, he'll go on whatever.
	And he was great because he's like, I'm not really going to comment because I'm part of the government and he's running for president, but it really was strange to me that it had so much imagery that would be designed for gay men who would really enjoy this.
	You know, it's beyond belief how they were able to do that, and it was a good dunk on DeSantis from him.
	So, really problematic, but I think this is, what are we now?
	July?
	We're like way, you know, it's even, there's more than a year left until we get to the, well actually we're going to get to the primaries, you know, when?
	In November when it kind of starts in earnest.
	There's a lot... No, no, no, we're a couple of months away from debates.
	Yeah, either way.
	There's a lot of time for this to be a lot worse, is my point, I think.
	And it will.
	And that's what's going to be, like, I know what you mean when you say you're not looking forward to that.
	I kind of feel like I was, and that way you want to, you know, rubberneck at a car accident.
	But yeah, it'll get worse.
	And I wonder if it'll make me feel even worse than it did when I was realizing what was going to happen in 2016 with misogyny when Trump ran against Hillary.
	Probably.
	This feels worse because, you know, now you're getting women involved and, you know, they're making plays for women to back DeSantis in a way that is ugly, in a way that, you know, women voters didn't typically gravitate to hatred like this, I don't think.
	It's going to get really bad, particularly with the LGBT community as a focus.
	Real fast, to just completely change topics on the 4th of July, Nick, I just want to have a quick conversation.
	This has been a little bit of a story that's been going around that a lot of communities, particularly out West where there are possibilities of wildfires, have been moving from fireworks displays on the 4th of July to drone displays.
	Now, I bring this up for one, you know, it's like a little bit of a changing of the times.
	It's like when you watch a movie and it's like set in like 2050 and there's like a couple of little things that show you that things have changed.
	You know what I mean?
	Like this feels like a little bit of that.
	But I want to point something out in all of this, Nick, which is, I like fireworks.
	I really like fireworks.
	I've enjoyed them.
	Some of my favorite memories as a kid were watching fireworks, going to the fireworks display with my family.
	Like, I have nostalgia for that.
	But in recent years, as I've thought about how it feels for people with PTSD, how it feels for animals, what it does to the environment, what it does in general, environmentally, like, all of a sudden, like, I'm looking at this and I'm having to think, like, maybe I should just give up the ghost.
	Like, why?
	That feels like a thing a conservative would do, where they're like, ah, it used to be like this when I was a kid.
	I, for one, I welcome the drone displays.
	I've suddenly found myself completely switched on this in a way that, like, I can't believe it took me as long as it did.
	We should have drone displays on the 4th of July.
	Without question.
	I mean, do yourself a favor and just Google or go on YouTube and look at drone display fireworks.
	They are amazing.
	Yes, they can do because you know how, you know, as fireworks got better, they could be more complex and make some shapes, whatever, oohs and aahs, it'd be amazing.
	That is nothing.
	They have animated Eagles flying, you know, 200 feet across, you know, the sky and light up with red, white and blue.
	It's unbelievable what you can do.
	I will say this, my entire life is associated with, when I think about fireworks, I think about absolute intractable traffic.
	Like you can't even move for hours and so I am so good now and that's from the beginning from when I could start driving until now either when I was in Chicago and people I'm sure people listening will completely you know understand this you know try to get down to like you know the Navy Pier around that area to watch fireworks in Chicago like Literally, you could have gotten out of your car like Woodstock and left the car there.
	That's how bad it would get.
	And then even in L.A., too, trying to get away from like we were near the water to the point where, yeah, I detest fireworks.
	I don't like them.
	Even when they're like ooze and oz, I don't even know if I feel that anymore.
	So I'm telling you, the drone stuff is amazing.
	And for sure, for the wildfire stuff, we absolutely need to be going to this.
	I listen.
	I'm so glad you brought up the intractable traffic.
	Cause you're exactly right.
	Like now that you've brought it up, like I, that, that is one of the things is it comes along with the fireworks.
	I loved him as a kid.
	I really did.
	I still, you know, like I was sitting in my living room last night and like I heard him and I looked outside and I realized somebody was letting off like some weapons grade, you know, fireworks, but then also it doesn't matter that it's just something that pleases me.
	I have to take into consideration what that means for other people, what it means for my community, what it means for the environment, what it means in general.
	I think that is the difference in mindset.
	Do you know what I mean?
	It's like just saying, well screw everything, that's what I want.
	I feel like that's the right-wing mindset.
	And I feel like not being able to get over that and not being able to move forward is what holds society back.
	Maybe there were things that you enjoyed more when you were a kid.
	Well, maybe you talked yourself into enjoying them more, you know?
	But I think it's absolutely absurd.
	Like, I'm looking at this now and I'm like, yeah, this seems pretty clear-cut.
	Like, this is an alternative if people want to have these displays.
	Also, Fourth of July, last few years, has felt weird.
	You know, particularly with the country like in decline, the way that it is, and all the right wing forces, it has felt strange.
	But like this, I don't see the problem with it.
	I'll say this, you know, they're illegal in LA, but like starting in my neighborhood, and you see where I live right in the middle of the city of LA.
	Fourth of July pretty much starts May 1st.
	Sure.
	Every night.
	And there's no fireworks up in the sky to see the blues and the greens, whatever.
	It's just like M80s going off, you know, M160s.
	I mean, it's like artillery.
	I don't know.
	I just heard one just now in the distance.
	And that's, you know, it's another interesting thing because it's illegal.
	They know it's illegal.
	They shouldn't be doing it and all these different things.
	And yet, it's just like an excuse to like, let's just blow shit up, I guess.
	I don't know what that is.
	I've never enjoyed that part of, you know, that whatever that release could very well be.
	But that's what happens here too.
	So a lot of negative associations that happened over the last several years.
	Well, OK, I think the Mutt-Craig podcast is officially endorsing drone displays.
	I think that's official, right?
	Put it down.
	Yes, drone displays.
	And, you know, also, I endorse the United States of America in whatever version we can finally get it to, hopefully one day.
	I would love to sit here and endorse the United States of America in a future better version.
	I would love that.
