[00:01:32]  So I feel like I have a very good sense of where the audience is on any issue, and that's vital.

[00:01:39]  So anyway, let's just dig into it and see if there's anything in here that interests you.
[00:01:43]  I will tell you overall, I went through, I selected some hard news questions, some lifestyle questions, some makeup questions, some child-rearing questions.

[00:03:19]  Here's an interesting question on immigration from Chris.
[00:03:23]  He writes, or she writes, I thought we were done with that Maryland man, Kilmar Obrego Garcia.
[00:03:28]  Last I heard he was getting ready to be deported within a day or two to somewhere in Africa.
[00:03:32]  I think the question on a lot of people's mind is: why is this administration having so many problems getting rid of the seemingly simple cases?
[00:03:40]  How did this guy's deportation get so screwed up that we have to keep listening and going over it six months later?
[00:03:46]  Chris, same.
[00:03:48]  I have the same thoughts.
[00:03:50]  He's like a bad penny.
[00:03:52]  So it keeps popping back up.
[00:03:54]  Like no matter what you do, you're still on the Kilmar Obrego Garcia story.
[00:03:58]  Why does everybody know this man's name?
[00:03:59]  enough already with this guy.
[00:04:01]  And I have to be honest, it's because in part due to incompetence.
[00:04:07]  And I'll explain how.
[00:04:08]  So first of all, you know, that's the guy who had a withholding of removal order, meaning he went through the immigration courts when they arrested him and accused him of being an MS-13 gang member.
[00:04:20]  And he managed at that time to pitch his sob story to some bleeding heart on the immigration bench who gave him, instead of a deportation notice, gave him kind of a get out of jail free notice, which is called a withholding of removal, meaning you can deport him if you really want to, but you can't deport him to El Salvador because he's convinced me that there are terrible gangs there that mean to do him harm.
[00:04:42]  And I think that was all bullshit, to be honest.
[00:04:44]  I don't believe any of that.
[00:04:45]  I think he just didn't want to go back to El Salvador.
[00:04:48]  And even that notice is no longer good when the threat is removed.
[00:04:53]  So if the gang that was after you has been disbanded 10 years later, you can be sent back to El Salvador.
[00:05:00]  And by the way, that's exactly what happened.
[00:05:03]  That's what happened.
[00:05:04]  But anyway, so that's the first problem.
[00:05:07]  Some bleeding heart on the immigration bench fell for his little act and gave him that order.
[00:05:12]  Then, when we were deporting people under this first year of the Trump administration, he got rounded up appropriately.
[00:05:20]  And the one place we couldn't send him to, we sent him to El Salvador because we struck that deal with Bukele to take these people and put them in this prison.
[00:05:30]  And it wasn't that he wasn't deportable.
[00:05:32]  He was deportable, but just not to there.
[00:05:35]  And then the administration made the mistake of admitting they had made that mistake, which, you know, it's not great to say in court, whoops, we made a mistake.
[00:05:46]  Would have been better to come up with an argument.
[00:05:47]  That's kind of what lawyers do.
[00:05:49]  But they thought of that too late.
[00:05:51]  They were already on record as admitting it was a mistake, turned into a big national controversy.
[00:05:56]  And then they came up with criminal charges to slap him with while they tried to save face and bringing him back to the United States and out of that as El Salvador in prison and all that after the visit and all the publicity around it.
[00:06:10]  And as soon as he got back here, they slapped him with criminal charges relating to his alleged trafficking, which it seems pretty clear he did.
[00:06:16]  So that was sort of their, okay, he's coming back, but it's still not a win for the other side because now he's facing criminal charges.
[00:06:23]  And this one judge who's an Obama appointee, who is also a far leftist, Judge Zinnis, she's 100% against the administration on this.
[00:06:32]  And while I'm not on her side, I can't be too harsh on this judge because we've been botching it over on the administration side.
[00:06:40]  I mean, it hasn't been good.
[00:06:42]  And then finally, finally, they go into court for the most recent hearing.
[00:06:47]  Now they're trying to just deport him the old-fashioned way, like get out and go to this, I don't know, it's like Uganda, someplace.
[00:06:52]  You're right.
[00:06:53]  It's some African country.
[00:06:54]  Can't remember which.
[00:06:55]  And as they're, his lawyers are challenging that, they're challenging it all.
[00:06:59]  And to his lawyer's credit, they said, let us see the order of removal that preceded, like the order of deportation that preceded the order of the withholding of removal.
[00:07:10]  Because before you say, but you can't deport him to El Salvador, you need the order that says, you can deport him.
[00:07:18]  And it turns out they don't have it.
[00:07:20]  That lame immigration judge who handled this thing in the first go-round never issued one.
[00:07:27]  So it turns out he's got an order saying you can't deport him to El Salvador, but he doesn't have an order saying you can deport him.
[00:07:36]  So it's beyond effed up, which means, and I've contacted many administration officials saying, aren't you just going to now get a deportation order from any immigration judge?
[00:07:50]  And they all seem to be telegraphing.
[00:07:52]  Yes, that's their next move.
[00:07:54]  But Judge Zinnis has said, you're not locking him back up.
[00:07:59]  You're not doing it.
[00:07:59]  You're not going to lock him back up.
[00:08:01]  So that's fine.
[00:08:02]  You can do it while he's at large.
[00:08:03]  But they're going to know where he is.
[00:08:05]  And he is going to get dragged before an immigration judge.
[00:08:08]  And he is going to get deported.
[00:08:09]  He's not an American citizen.
[00:08:11]  He has no right to stay here.
[00:08:12]  He has never been given permission to stay here.
[00:08:15]  So he is going away.
[00:08:17]  Soon we will be done with the bad penny and he will be somebody else's problem.
[00:08:22]  But it's kind of a case study in government incompetence and how crappily our immigration system has been working.
[00:08:30]  You know, it really is.
[00:08:32]  The guy's allegedly beating his wife repeatedly.
[00:08:36]  She's seeking multiple protection orders against him.
[00:08:38]  He's allegedly trafficking people into the United States, all these other illegals from state to state, cross-country with no luggage.
[00:08:45]  Oh, I'm sure.
[00:08:46]  I'm sure it was legit.
[00:08:48]  Not to mention his MS-13 gang affiliation, which has been proven to my satisfaction and to the satisfaction of the two immigration courts who looked at this initially, just not to the satisfaction of the left, which wants to hang on to every last illegal.
[00:09:02]  They're hoping that they'll become voters and put Kamala Harris in office.
[00:09:06]  So it's very frustrating.
[00:09:08]  It gets almost too frustrating to continue covering, but we will.
[00:09:11]  And I thank you for listening and for your smart question.

[00:09:16]  Next topic, radical Islam.
[00:09:18]  And this one is from Joe, who speaks, I think, for a lot of the viewers because many of you wrote in about this.
[00:09:23]  He writes, is the West slash Christianity going to be able to contain, stop the spread, or possibly reverse the spread of Islam?
[00:09:31]  Or are we simply doomed?
[00:09:34]  I actually think we are capable of stopping this spread, Joe.
[00:09:38]  We are not Germany.
[00:09:40]  We are not France.
[00:09:41]  We are not London.
[00:09:43]  We are a much, much bigger country.
[00:09:45]  You know, 330 million Americans is much, much harder to dilute.
[00:09:50]  And while we did have open borders for four years under Joe Biden, mostly they came from the southern border.
[00:09:56]  Yes, we did get our fair amount of Muslims, but most came from the southern border.
[00:10:01]  And we've got a problem now with, you know, gang-affiliated members and also just loafers who are not contributing members of society.
[00:10:10]  And then you got people like from Somalia who just want to mooch off of us while we pay for their lifestyle, while they take their government paychecks or not paychecks, but checks and ship part of them off to al-Shabaab, a terrorist group.
[00:10:24]  It's not great.
[00:10:26]  But there haven't been that many Muslims who came.
[00:10:29]  I mean, if all the Hispanics who came from south of the border were Muslim, I'd be more worried.
[00:10:33]  And the Muslims, let's be honest, they're breeding like rabbits.
[00:10:36]  That's like part of their mission is to have kids, have tons of kids, have six, seven, eight kids, and win by multiplication.
[00:10:44]  So Christians need to start having babies.
[00:10:47]  Sorry, but we do.
[00:10:48]  If I had met Doug when I was younger, we would have had three more.
[00:10:52]  But I was kind of an old lady when we got together and I did what I could in my limited time of childbearing years.
[00:10:58]  I had Thatcher at, I had Yeats at 38, Yardley at 40, and Thatcher at 42.
[00:11:03]  And God, thank God, they were all healthy.
[00:11:05]  But as you know, God shuts you down around that point.
[00:11:09]  So we got to have more babies.
[00:11:11]  Like the left has basically stopped having children because of climate change.
[00:11:15]  Okay, how's that working out?
[00:11:16]  They need to have babies too.
[00:11:18]  Although, let's face it, the responsibility is mostly on the right.
[00:11:22]  So if you are a conservative Christian, please have children, more than you can afford.
[00:11:28]  Honestly, like find a way.
[00:11:31]  They can go to public school if you live in the right community and get a good education without being too indoctrinated, ideally south of the Mason-Dixon.
[00:11:39]  And honestly, college right now, like Elon's always saying, it's not even necessary.
[00:11:43]  You can learn everything you need to know on the internet.
[00:11:45]  Hillsdale College has got so many great podcasts and courses that are for free online.
[00:11:50]  You can educate yourself.
[00:11:52]  I know this sounds like a little flip, but I believe it's true.
[00:11:55]  And more and more people are providing education for people in a trade that where they'll pay for you to get educated and like as a plumber or an electrician.
[00:12:04]  And you don't have to pay for that out of pocket.
[00:12:06]  And you can go on to have a great life in a really like a well-paying job.
[00:12:11]  Anyway, I just think we need to have more children.
[00:12:14]  And we need to elect people like Trump.
[00:12:16]  We need to keep JD in there after Trump is gone, where we stop the immigration from countries who do not share our values.
[00:12:22]  There's nothing wrong with it.
[00:12:23]  I'm sorry, but no more Muslims.
[00:12:25]  We're done.
[00:12:26]  Our values are not aligned.
[00:12:28]  They're just not.
[00:12:31]  I have Muslim friends.
[00:12:32]  It's nothing against them.
[00:12:34]  Their individual friendships are fine.
[00:12:36]  They as individuals are fine.
[00:12:38]  But Islam is not consistent with the values of America, of the West.
[00:12:43]  They should stay in countries that don't care about keeping church and state separated.
[00:12:48]  They should stay in countries that don't care about protecting free speech.
[00:12:51]  They should stay in countries that don't care about women's rights.
[00:12:54]  That's where Islam can fester and grow.
[00:12:58]  It's great.
[00:12:59]  I mean, I'm sure if that's like your thing and you don't care about like genital mutilation, you might really enjoy living in an Islamic country.
[00:13:06]  If you don't mind living in a life as a woman where you have to keep every inch of your body except for your eyeballs covered, yeah, someplace in the Middle East could be for you.
[00:13:15]  It's not my thing.
[00:13:16]  It's not America's thing.
[00:13:18]  And it's not a thing that we should want or encourage in the West.
[00:13:20]  And it's definitely not a thing we should encourage at our governmental level.
[00:13:24]  I mean, one of the tenets of Islam is to convert, is to take over.
[00:13:28]  They want to get rid of the infidels, the Christians.
[00:13:31]  They do not want to live peacefully side by side with us.
[00:13:34]  They want to convert us.
[00:13:35]  They want either to get rid of us or subvert our religion and our beliefs to theirs.
[00:13:42]  So it's a no on more immigrants from Muslim countries.
[00:13:47]  And on the five-time call, a prayer, call to prayer being played over loudspeakers in places like Minneapolis.
[00:13:54]  That has to stop at Dearborn and Minneapolis.
[00:13:56]  We've already lost two major American cities and we should be done with that.
[00:14:00]  So you need to get involved at your town council.
[00:14:03]  You need to pay attention when ordinances are going through.
[00:14:06]  You need to not be afraid to say, we're not electing an Islamic mayor because that's not consistent with our majority beliefs.
[00:14:15]  And if they call you a bigot, so be it.
[00:14:17]  Remember what Christopher Hitchens said.
[00:14:19]  You know, they're going to make up this term Islamophobia to shut us down.
[00:14:22]  And that's by design.
[00:14:23]  There's no such thing as Islamophobia.
[00:14:25]  You are not only entitled to, quote, fear Islam, I would argue it's your duty as a Christian to stand up and fight against it.
[00:14:33]  It is not consistent with the values of the West or America.
[00:14:36]  And therefore, you have no problem.
[00:14:38]  You should have no problem standing up against it while being kind to your Muslim American neighbors.
[00:14:45]  Okay.
[00:14:45]  You can be kind to them and say, I disagree with the tenets of your quote religion and do not believe that people who follow Islam should be in power here in America.
[00:14:55]  So that's that.
[00:14:57]  Forging forward.
[00:14:58]  Kamala Harris, Jeff writes in.

[00:15:12]  I'm glad you wrote this because we just had news this week.
[00:15:14]  She's expanding the book tour.
[00:15:16]  She had such a fun time being loved by people.
[00:15:19]  She wants more of it.
[00:15:21]  So I do have advice for you.
[00:15:24]  You should not go and be like a shitsterer.
[00:15:28]  Well, you should, but you should do it in a clever way.
[00:15:30]  So you should try to get online.
[00:15:32]  And what you should say is something along the lines of, you know, Madam Vice President, There are so-called establishment Democrats who say the party will not accept or the country will not accept a black female president,
[00:15:55]  that it's not ready for it and that the party, if it doesn't want to lose again, is going to have to go with somebody who doesn't check as many identity boxes.
[00:16:05]  To those people, what do you say?
[00:16:07]  Or you could say there are some in the party that believe you've had your chance.
[00:16:12]  You didn't get the ball across the finish line that we need to let somebody else try because you've already, in effect, been rejected by the American populace.
[00:16:21]  Are they right?
[00:16:23]  Say that.
[00:16:23]  Say something that will encourage her to defend her ability to do it.
[00:16:28]  That's what I want to hear.
[00:16:30]  Like, let's get to her actual thinking about why they're wrong and she can do it because you know in her head she thinks she can.
[00:16:39]  But the left's not really going to ask her that.
[00:16:42]  So you need to ask it, Jeff.
[00:16:43]  It's much better than a, why won't you stand up for girls in sports?
[00:16:48]  Forget that.
[00:16:48]  No, don't ask that.
[00:16:50]  Ask something that's truly subversive and clever because she won't see it coming.

[00:17:33]  She writes, I love how your kids seem to know about politics and social issues already.
[00:17:38]  I've got three young kids, ages six, four, and two.
[00:17:41]  And my husband and I always talk about the balance of sheltering them from things versus starting to expose them so they know our opinions and values.
[00:17:47]  Any advice on this?
[00:17:48]  What's the right age?
[00:17:49]  Thank you for that, Caitlin.
[00:17:50]  Yes, your kids are the same distance apart as mine.
[00:17:52]  Mine are now 16, 14, and 12.
[00:17:54]  So same as yours, only with a one in front of them.
[00:17:57]  And we definitely put some thought into this.
[00:18:01]  And I would say the main thing we did was when they were little, like your kids' ages, we just talked about values.
[00:18:07]  And church is a great reinforcement of just values.
[00:18:10]  They don't talk politics at church.
[00:18:12]  I think what they talk about at church is all the stuff you should be talking about at home.
[00:18:15]  Like, what do I care about?
[00:18:16]  Being good to other people.
[00:18:18]  Don't lie.
[00:18:19]  Don't cheat.
[00:18:20]  Don't steal.
[00:18:22]  Don't rely on other people to do the hard work.
[00:18:24]  You do it.
[00:18:25]  Do unto others, all that.
[00:18:27]  Don't covet.
[00:18:28]  Don't be an envious person.
[00:18:31]  And then the general stuff that I think we as conservatives believe, which is safe spaces are anything but.
[00:18:36]  It's good to take risks.
[00:18:38]  Failure is fine and actually kind of welcome to your character development.
[00:18:42]  Falling down is part of becoming great.
[00:18:46]  Stand up for what you believe in.
[00:18:47]  Don't be shamed out of saying what you really believe, what you really think.
[00:18:51]  It's fine.
[00:18:52]  And when your kids say something that they really think, even if you disagree with it, hear them out.
[00:18:56]  Like prove to them that you too can accept different ideas and like test them a little.
[00:19:01]  Like, well, why do you think that?
[00:19:02]  What about this?
[00:19:03]  Do a little Socratic method.
[00:19:04]  Like, well, what if this happened?
[00:19:06]  You know, oh, you like socialism?
[00:19:07]  All right.
[00:19:08]  Do the old Halloween thing.
[00:19:09]  Well, what would you think if, you know, your brother went out and did all and did no trick-or-treating?
[00:19:13]  He stayed at home watching TV and you did all the trick-or-treating and he wanted you to give him half.
[00:19:16]  How would you feel about that?
[00:19:18]  Like that kind of stuff, you know, those basics.
[00:19:20]  And then when they get a little older, around say the presidential elections, you can start introducing a little politics.
[00:19:26]  Like, well, and I really, really, really believe it's important not to make them feel like you are pushing them to one side.
[00:19:36]  Like you are, let's be honest.
[00:19:38]  You want them to become Republicans or Independents who vote conservative.
[00:19:42]  But I think it's better for you to shepherd them so that they come to that decision on their own.
[00:19:48]  And you can talk about like, this is what the Democrats believe and this is what the Republicans believe and strongman the Democrats' argument.
[00:19:54]  Make your kid a good arguer who thinks through complex issues when they're a little older, like mine at 12, 14, and 16, this is totally a sweet spot for that.
[00:20:02]  And then would debate it over the kitchen table.
[00:20:06]  And I think that's better than being like, the Democrats suck.
[00:20:10]  You know, we're Republicans.
[00:20:11]  I actually think it's better to like strongman the Democrats' arguments and walk your kids through how they end, you know, like do battle, because the Democrats won't win if you actually have substantive arguments over their positions.
[00:20:26]  They won't win.
[00:20:26]  Not if you've done all those other things we talked about from zero to 10 to 10 or 12.
[00:20:31]  And plus, you don't want them to rebel against you as teenagers when they start to reject everything you stand for.
[00:20:37]  If they think them being a Republican is super important to you, then they're not going to do it.
[00:20:41]  So careful.
[00:20:43]  Okay, from Carl.
[00:20:45]  We have a son who just turned two, and we have two transgender extended family members.
[00:20:49]  Our opinion on the trans issue is very similar to what you've described, but we love our family and want to treat them with respect.
[00:20:55]  It's very important to us that our son has strong, positive relationships with his extended family.
[00:20:59]  How do we balance all of these competing interests?
[00:21:01]  Thank you for that, Carl.
[00:21:03]  We have two trans members of our extended family too.
[00:21:08]  And while we don't see them that often, I understand what you're dealing with here.
[00:21:13]  And my strong advice is that is not the place to litigate our issues on the trans problem.
[00:21:21]  When in the presence of any trans person, unless they're being aggressive and offensive and like in a place they shouldn't be, like a daughter's locker room or sport, then you have to say something.
[00:21:32]  But like, you know, if you see somebody socially at a gathering or Thanksgiving dinner or whatever it is, I think you should just treat them with kindness and respect.
[00:21:40]  You don't mention it.
[00:21:41]  You're, you're nice.
[00:21:44]  You don't dwell on it.
[00:21:45]  You don't have to spend like the whole party talking to them.
[00:21:49]  And odds are, if it's obvious, which it almost always is when it's male to female, and that's probably what you're talking about.
[00:21:55]  Odds are, as soon as you get away from the person, your kid's going to be like, mom, dad, was that a man?
[00:22:01]  And you should absolutely tell the truth.
[00:22:03]  Yes, that was a man pretending to be a woman.
[00:22:06]  And that is a thing that some very small amount of people do.
[00:22:10]  And it is not real.
[00:22:12]  That person deserves our sympathy because they're dealing with something that's very serious in their head, in their brain.
[00:22:19]  And we don't talk about it in their presence, but it is not possible to change sexes.
[00:22:26]  It is not possible for a man to become a woman.
[00:22:28]  And while in the presence of such a person, we would no more call attention to that than we would to somebody who is on the spectrum or has some sort of birth defect that we don't want to talk about or they don't want to raise.
[00:22:40]  That's not nice.
[00:22:41]  We don't do that.
[00:22:43]  We don't have to accept this person's delusion as real.
[00:22:46]  And we don't accept this person's delusion as real.
[00:22:48]  And I would avoid pronouns at all costs.
[00:22:52]  I would not say to my child, this is Mr. Brown.
[00:22:56]  You know, I wouldn't say that.
[00:22:57]  I'd say, this is, you know, Pat Brown.
[00:23:02]  And I think in that case, I might say, Pat, this is my child, because normally we make our kids call people by their honorific and then their last name.

[00:25:13]  You'd rather she get a D for standing up for what is true and real and honest and what we really believe in than get an A by going along with some woke asshole leftist professor who would downgrade a co-ed based on her politics.

[00:25:36]  She's got to have great grades.

[00:34:42]  My dad was only 45 years old.

[00:34:52]  Those experiences change you.
[00:34:55]  And one word to all of the parents who have had this happen and their families, many of whom write to me and say, Well, what can I tell my kids?
[00:35:05]  Or what do I need to know about my kids who are now dealing with the loss of a parent or a sibling?
[00:35:12]  And I say the same thing, which is, it's awful, and there's just no two ways about that.
[00:35:17]  But I do believe one real gift that comes with losing someone early is you live your life differently.
[00:35:28]  You don't waste time.
[00:35:30]  You make still some crappy decisions.
[00:35:32]  It doesn't immunize you against that, but you realize them faster.
[00:35:35]  You correct them faster.
[00:35:37]  You know, you could go at any moment.
[00:35:39]  You know it.
[00:35:40]  Everyone knows it, but you know it.
[00:35:41]  You know it on a gut cellular level.
[00:35:45]  And you act differently as a result.
[00:35:48]  In the same way, somebody who has terminal cancer makes different decisions in the time they have left because they know it's limited and they will make different choices.

[00:36:06]  You really believe it.

[00:36:24]  You know, or they have their dads their whole lives and they're crappy or they ignored them or they were angry dads or alcoholic dads or absentee dads.

[00:36:34]  My dad was super fun.
[00:36:36]  He was present.
[00:36:37]  He used to sit down on the floor after you come home from teaching.
[00:36:39]  He was a college professor and played jacks with us.
[00:36:42]  He never spoke down to us.
[00:36:43]  He always kept his vocabulary elevated.
[00:36:46]  He never just said, like, you're super smart.
[00:36:48]  He never told me that.
[00:36:49]  He just treated me like I was.
[00:36:51]  Just gave me like real tasks to complete that others would have thought would be beyond the capacity of a 10 or a 12 year old.
[00:37:00]  And that's what really leads to self-confidence.
[00:37:02]  You know, like it wasn't even a discussion.
[00:37:05]  He just gave it to me and knew I could do it and expected something more of me.
[00:37:09]  That really helps.
[00:37:11]  People ask sometimes, like, you seem to have a natural confidence.
[00:37:13]  Stuff like that helps.
[00:37:14]  And also, no false praise, none.
[00:37:17]  Do not false praise your children.
[00:37:18]  They know it.
[00:37:20]  They know it.
[00:37:21]  So you're just undermining your trust relationship with them and you're undermining their ability to be confident, successful humans.
