[00:01:04] Final flights into LAX for six months. [00:01:09] Spirit. [00:01:09] Just a couple months. [00:01:10] Hey, Spirit, from us guys in America, good luck to y'all. [00:01:13] It'd be better if you took $500 million, put it in a pile on the floor, poured gasoline on it, lit it on fire. [00:01:23] Pour one out, folks. [00:01:25] One of the great, terrible budget airlines. [00:01:28] I actually don't want to pour it on my desk. [00:01:29] Spirit Airlines. [00:01:30] RIP, it is no more. [00:01:32] When you wanted a cheap flight, they get you the cheapest flight possible. [00:01:35] They would charge you for oxygen. [00:01:37] They would make you pay if you wanted a seatbelt or if you wanted to undo your seatbelt. [00:01:42] And it was truly an unpleasant experience. [00:01:45] But when you were broke, it was great. [00:01:49] Bullshit bourgeois ideology. [00:01:51] And I'm going to miss it. [00:01:52] So in Memoriam, we have the best Spirit Airline memes. [00:01:56] Guys, never fly with Spirit, okay? [00:02:20] Is that a monkey? [00:02:34] Oh no, it's a raccoon. [00:02:39] Yeah, no, that song, killer song for spirit. [00:02:42] The other one that comes to mind is, it's something unpredictable. [00:02:47] And in the end, it's the stewardess is just punching people in the face. [00:02:52] People are just gasping for air. [00:02:55] When we fly Spirit, you had this sense that, like, as you were circling the airport, like, all right, everybody, so we just need another $50 before we can land this airplane. [00:03:06] Someone's gonna have to pony up. [00:03:07] We're running out of jet fuel. [00:03:09] So just if anyone wants to land. [00:03:12] Flying Spirit was just playing a big game of chicken. [00:03:15] Next one. [00:03:16] Looks like you're going to have to take over spirit too, Marco. [00:03:18] I could [00:04:09] watch it all day. [00:04:11] I like the subtlety, too, of the filmmaker that every single person other than Marco Rubio is black, of the auteur's understanding of spirit. [00:04:21] I think I'm getting the black lung bob. [00:04:23] Which is not totally realistic, but it is realistic that Marco Rubio will be tasked with taking over spirit. [00:04:30] Wow. [00:04:30] Who thinks the federal government knows how to get a suitcase from Pittsburgh to Cleveland? [00:04:35] I mean, just the mechanics of running an airline, there is no expertise in the federal government. [00:04:41] I want to watch that feature film. [00:04:43] Right now, go to ground.news. [00:04:46] If you are watching this, you already know that free speech is under attack across the West. [00:04:49] European governments are openly censoring content online. [00:04:52] Most of the mainstream media barely want to talk about it. [00:04:54] Well, there is a solution. [00:04:56] Ground News is a website and app that pulls in thousands of news stories from around the world every day, organizes them by story, shows you the bias, reliability, and ownership of every source. [00:05:05] Here's a story that maybe you haven't heard of unless you've been listening to me. [00:05:08] The Trump administration is building freedom.gov. [00:05:11] It's a portal designed to bypass digital content bans. across the globe. [00:05:14] U.S. is making free speech a foreign policy priority, yet over 85 outlets covered it with 45% of coverage from the right versus just 19% from the left. [00:05:23] Go figure. [00:05:24] When you compare the headlines, the framing is very revealing. [00:05:26] Gizmodo, which is a left-wing outlet, describes it as enabling Europeans to bypass bans on hate speech. [00:05:31] Welt, which is a right-leaning outlet, calls it digital freedom against EU censorship. [00:05:35] So you're getting the framing on both sides. [00:05:36] Really, really cool website. [00:05:37] Go to ground.news.nolls right now or scan the QR code for 40% off the Vantage Plan. [00:05:44] It's five bucks a month, so give it a shot and stay better informed. [00:05:49] I'm here. [00:05:59] Happiest Spirit Airlines employee. [00:06:02] That is, that's going to be his epitaph on his tombstone. [00:06:05] That was the happiest Spirit Airlines employee. [00:06:08] It was, it was rough on there. [00:06:11] Cause it wasn't, you know, the big airlines, Delta, it's really nice. [00:06:16] United did this thing for a while where they would like kill your puppy, but they, it's pretty nice on the big ones, you know, American, whatever. [00:06:23] And then Southwest was supposedly a budget airline, but it wasn't really. [00:06:27] The prices started to creep up and they still made it feel. [00:06:30] It made it feel like kind of budget because the stewardesses would be wacky. [00:06:35] You know, they're eccentric. [00:06:36] One of them came over and like sat in my lap one time. [00:06:38] It was interesting. [00:06:40] But on Spirit, the Spirit version of Budget Airline wasn't the wacky, eccentric, we have fun here. [00:06:47] It was like just got out of my halfway house, you know, still going through a little bit of withdrawal, existential ennui, slash homicidal rage. [00:07:00] Those poor suitcases. [00:07:01] Okay, next one. [00:07:03] There we go, that's the song I wanted. [00:07:12] So take the photographs and still frames in your mind. [00:07:17] Hanging on a shelf in good health and good time. [00:07:22] Tattoos and memories and dead skin on trial. [00:07:27] For what it's worth, it was worth all the while. [00:07:33] It's something unpredictable. [00:07:34] But in the end is right, I hope you had the time of your life. [00:07:43] The reason the song actually doesn't work is that that was always predictable on Spirit Airlines. [00:07:50] That was always predictable. [00:07:52] You had a statistical certainty of experiencing something like that. [00:07:59] And now we're certain that we won't experience it again unless we fly on Frontier. [00:08:03] See you next time. [00:08:09] Look out the window. [00:08:12] Spirit. [00:08:12] Didn't see that coming, did you? [00:08:28] Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road. [00:08:33] Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go. [00:08:38] So make the best of this past and don't ask why. [00:08:43] It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time. [00:08:48] It's something unpredictable. [00:08:50] It's something unpredictable. [00:08:52] And in the end, that's right. [00:08:54] I hope you had the time of your life.
