Shooter Captured! w/@Ryadsreport Aired: 2026-04-26 Duration: 01:06:50 === Pandemonium Hits Live (02:12) === [00:01:25] All right, guys, pandemonium going on. [00:01:26] Had to go right live on it. [00:01:29] The feed of what's going on. [00:01:30] They're going [00:02:43] to topple Iran. [00:02:44] And once they do, Israel's going to become Okay, so this is what happened, chat. [00:02:56] For those of you that are wondering what the hell's going on. [00:03:10] So it looks like they evacuate him. [00:03:16] Secret Service hits the stage. [00:03:19] Sorry, the audio sucks, guys. [00:03:20] It's not me. [00:03:32] Can somebody throw me a link? [00:03:33] They're saying that they're. === Chaos and Evacuation (02:42) === [00:03:37] Somebody said that CNN is reporting he was captured. [00:03:41] Some people are saying that he's dead. [00:03:52] I'm on Twitter right now trying to see what happened. [00:04:05] So you can see Secret Service there. [00:04:12] Let's see. [00:04:15] I cannot even. [00:04:21] Oh my god, look at that. [00:04:22] I can not even Let's see what else. [00:04:48] Okay, developing. [00:04:53] Out over our other, at a moment's notice, and have to shout over our other reporters and maybe get to ask one yes, we have access, but we don't have that quality access, I guess, that they were looking for. [00:05:06] And that's a difference. [00:05:09] But I would say that those impromptu moments are quality access. [00:05:12] Yeah, I see it. [00:05:13] Just a second. [00:05:14] We have an issue here at the head table. [00:05:16] At the White House Correspondents' Dinner. [00:05:18] If we can go to that full screen, it looks like the head table has been evacuated. [00:05:25] I saw Ose Perlman talking with Mr. and Mrs. Trump and then at the moment's notice and have to shout over our other report. [00:05:35] Okay. [00:05:37] Yeah, guys, this literally just happened like two minutes, a couple minutes ago. [00:05:44] Okay, still. [00:05:54] Oh, was that the sound? [00:06:00] Yeah, you can hear a couple of clangings. [00:06:04] Turn up for you guys real quick. [00:06:19] Yeah, you can hear it right there. === Security Breakdown Confirmed (15:06) === [00:06:42] What the hell? [00:07:00] Because we had... [00:07:02] As we had, well, nothing's all right, we'll jump in this Twitter space. [00:07:11] The White House passed a female Secret Service agent who was supposed to be guarding that entrance. [00:07:17] So, with the security that the feds and the. [00:07:24] Hold on, Chad. [00:07:31] Was fake, the one where he got allegedly shot in his ear. [00:07:36] They need to turn and change the narrative that we talked about on him. [00:07:42] So, how do you feel sorry for Trump again? [00:07:44] Well, maybe you pretend to kill him again. [00:07:47] I just want to welcome Myron onto the stage as well. [00:07:49] Myron, hope you're doing well. [00:07:51] How are you? [00:07:53] Yo, I'm good, man. [00:07:55] Thanks for having me. [00:07:56] No, I just obviously, I was literally going to get off stream. [00:07:59] And like I see that there said shots were fired at the White House correspondence meeting. [00:08:03] And I was like, what? [00:08:04] Or dinner. [00:08:05] So, just kind of trying to see what's going on. [00:08:07] I'm hearing all types of conflicting stories. [00:08:09] Some people are saying the guy got shot. [00:08:10] Some people said the guy got captured. [00:08:13] I'm not really seeing too much stuff going on. [00:08:15] Apparently, CNN was covering it. [00:08:16] But when I looked at CNN, I don't see it anywhere. [00:08:19] Yeah, I read he got captured. [00:08:20] But I'm saying with you, I actually shut the space down, shut the YouTube stream down, and literally got off. [00:08:27] And I was just doing some research for my video tomorrow. [00:08:30] And then, next thing I know, I flip and see it. [00:08:32] And I'm like, what the hell is going on here? [00:08:33] And I need to really spark up the space immediately. [00:08:35] But, yeah, what we know is Trump's safe. [00:08:37] We know JD Vance is safe. [00:08:39] The shooter is confirmed dead, according to CNN. [00:08:42] Wait, is he captured or dead? [00:08:44] Dead. [00:08:45] Okay. [00:08:47] Yeah. [00:08:48] The president is safe. [00:08:49] JD Vance is safe. [00:08:53] So, no one was injured. [00:08:54] He was apparently in the ballroom. [00:08:55] We're starting to see some videos coming out right now of the shooting, or basically when the shooting was occurring. [00:09:04] But, yeah, this is major, major news. [00:09:09] How would, just from your experience, Maren, how would the shooter have even got into the lobby? [00:09:14] I thought there'd be extreme security and extreme situation where none of this would have been allowed to happen. [00:09:19] Yeah, I mean, that is definitely a problem. [00:09:23] You know, and you would think with what happened last time with Butler that they'd be a little bit more cautious, especially since we're in the middle of a conflict right now and, you know, this war is very unpopular, that they would heighten security. [00:09:35] The Secret Service agents got on stage pretty quickly, but yeah, that's definitely a breakdown there when it comes to. [00:09:43] Security measures. [00:09:45] Like, that's kind of crazy. [00:09:46] He even made it that close. [00:09:48] But, like, how can there be a breakdown on security when you had two attempted assassinations on Donald Trump? [00:09:57] You had, as you said, a very unpopular war. [00:10:02] You had the assassination of Charlie Kirk. [00:10:06] There's been major, major incidences. [00:10:10] How can you be in a situation where you would even have lack of security? [00:10:14] Yeah, I mean, Just irresponsible. [00:10:17] I mean, the Secret Service also, people got to understand they're severely understaffed. [00:10:21] I've done Secret Service protection details before. [00:10:24] They rely heavily upon other law enforcement agencies to help augment their force. [00:10:30] So, you know, typically the closer you get to the president, the more and more is going to be a secret service dominant detail. [00:10:38] When it comes to like perimeter security and everything else like that, they rely a lot on, you know, county sheriffs, local police officers, maybe uniformed division. [00:10:46] They're in DC, so I'm assuming maybe uniformed division was there. [00:10:49] But they typically spend more time around the White House. [00:10:52] But yeah, I mean, this is exactly kind of like what happened with Butler. [00:10:57] They relied upon the locals to kind of handle the outside perimeter, and that's how that guy was able to get on the roof. [00:11:02] So this is, yeah, Secret Service has a very serious staffing issue, and they've always had this issue. [00:11:09] They can't retain agents, they have one of the highest attrition rates. [00:11:12] They, U.S. Marshals, et cetera, they're the most divorced agency. [00:11:17] Work life family balance is very difficult. [00:11:19] It's a job that you want to have as a single guy, not necessarily as an older guy with a family. [00:11:26] Okay, and um, what's the info? [00:11:30] I mean, I'm looking at it now. [00:11:31] We have obviously got uh, the shots fired at the White House correspondents and the people screaming at bystanders to tell them to get back. [00:11:41] What's um, I mean, this is this is um, I mean, it wasn't a closed arena in a closed area, right? [00:11:49] This is uh, diametrically different to, for example, what happened in Butler. [00:11:54] And these various other incidences. [00:11:56] So, how could someone even have got through with a gun in that specific situation? [00:12:00] I know you said it's a failure, but even with a gun? [00:12:03] Well, you know, you can, I don't know what kind of weapon he was caught with, but it's fairly easy to conceal a weapon. [00:12:07] You know, you can easily conceal a full capacity handgun, right, in your waistband, no problem. [00:12:19] So, I don't think it's that hard to conceal, but there was definitely some type of security breakdown. [00:12:25] For him to make it that far. [00:12:26] But like I said before, the Secret Service relies a lot upon other agencies to do outside perimeter because they've had staffing issues for so long. [00:12:35] They can barely keep agents around. [00:12:37] Wouldn't they go through metal? [00:12:43] I can't hear Doc. [00:12:44] I don't know. [00:12:44] Is he lagging for you guys too? [00:12:45] I don't know. [00:12:45] Doc, you're rubber banding a little bit. [00:12:48] You weren't for before, but you are now. [00:12:49] All right, one more thing. [00:12:53] Any better? [00:12:54] But it's really too early to tell. [00:12:56] So, like, you know, I always try to reserve. [00:13:00] You know, like, you know, definitive commentary until like we get all the facts. [00:13:05] But obviously, this is literally minutes into the situation. [00:13:07] So, you know, we'll have to see once we figure out who this guy was, you know, because who knows? [00:13:13] He might have been a rogue employee that had access. [00:13:15] Who knows? [00:13:15] Right. [00:13:16] So we won't really know until we, until a little bit more time passes, we figure out who this dude is. [00:13:23] Yeah, that's what we're going to, that's what we have to find out. [00:13:26] Apparently, they are saying, okay, heavily armed service agents. [00:13:32] Rushing towards the lobby of the Washington Hilton Hotel following shots fired. [00:13:38] The Secret Service is now sweeping the arena to look for whether there are accomplices or whether there is a second shooter. [00:13:45] So that's something that's happening. [00:13:48] Within the lobby, we're now hearing that President Trump will be returned to the stage at the White House dinner after shots were fired. [00:13:56] So they're saying that the White House correspondence dinner is going to continue. [00:14:02] I heard that too, that he's going to go back. [00:14:04] No, I heard that too, that he's going to go back. [00:14:07] Yeah, yeah. [00:14:08] So, I mean Yeah, Trump doesn't want to look weak. [00:14:16] So I'm not surprised that he's going back. [00:14:20] Yeah, okay, okay. [00:14:21] But then at the same time, it probably wasn't as much of a big issue as well. [00:14:26] What do you think? [00:14:26] Like, why would you go back? [00:14:27] Like, if his ammo after butt leg didn't go back, he actually got shot, right? [00:14:31] Yeah, well, you can see they had to drag him off the stage. [00:14:35] So, you know, it happens. [00:14:37] But we'll see, man. [00:14:39] Time will tell. [00:14:40] I'm interested to see who this guy was. [00:14:42] That will probably give us a lot more insight as to how he was able to do this or pull this off. [00:14:48] But yeah, I think it's confirmed now that he was shot and neutralized, right? [00:14:53] Yeah, yeah. [00:14:54] That's what CNN are reporting. [00:14:55] Obviously, CNN could be wrong. [00:14:58] But at the moment, yeah, CNN are reporting that he was shot. [00:15:02] We are getting images of Mike Johnson, who was evacuated by his Secret Service or security team as well. [00:15:18] So that's the latest in that as well. [00:15:24] So, I mean, obviously, you've not had a chance to look at this, Myron. [00:15:28] You did kind of, I mean, this was kind of your job role. [00:15:33] What would have been like the security measures? [00:15:35] Because you said like taking a gun into the situation wouldn't have been as, like, it's not that hard to do something like that. [00:15:42] What would have been the security measures? [00:15:43] Because I did, I've been to like two TPUSA events. [00:15:46] I felt like the security was a bit more lax this time. [00:15:49] But I remember the one I went to before, it was like very, very stringent. [00:15:53] You couldn't even get anywhere without, you know, multiple checks and so on and so forth. [00:15:59] Yeah, I mean, we won't know until we know who this guy is. [00:16:01] That will give us a lot more information. [00:16:03] Like, you know, did he have a pass? [00:16:04] Did he know somebody? [00:16:06] Was he some, you know, person that might have had access to this building? [00:16:11] We'll have to wait and kind of see who this guy is. [00:16:14] And I think that will shed us a lot more insight as to what's actually going on. [00:16:20] Still too early to tell. [00:16:21] I'll try to unmute myself and I'll kind of do a little bit of research and see what I can find and come back. [00:16:26] Yeah, yeah, because that'd be good to get your insight on what the perimeter was, what the different checks you could show me what we're meant to do. [00:16:35] Yeah, I could do that. [00:16:36] I'll do that right now. [00:16:38] All those different things is going to be very important to know, especially as the day goes on and we find out more information about the shooter. [00:16:44] We have got images of the attendees. [00:16:46] Thank you for that, Mario. [00:16:47] Attendees scramble to take over. [00:16:50] Okay, let's see here. [00:16:51] We've got Caitlin Collins here. [00:17:00] Yeah, too early to tell. [00:17:02] A shooter who is confirmed dead. [00:17:04] And now, so we didn't know at first, but then we heard from our own security that they heard shots fired. [00:17:09] And now we do have Secret Service telling us. [00:17:12] Obviously, I want to know this is only one Secret Service member, but a member of security is here telling us that there is a shooter who is confirmed dead. [00:17:19] And now we are kind of basically locked inside the ballroom. [00:17:22] But basically, they were saying everyone's okay. [00:17:24] They have not identified the shooter yet. [00:17:26] But obviously, it shows you this was not some kind of false threat, that obviously something had happened and they rushed the entire administration off stage. [00:17:33] So we didn't know at first. [00:17:39] Maybe 50 feet from the stage where the president was up there, the first lady, Melania Trump. [00:17:44] Okay, then we have to stay here for now. [00:17:47] Security is telling us that everything's okay. [00:17:50] The shooter, there was a shooter? [00:17:52] One second, guys. [00:17:53] I'm literally. [00:17:54] What happened? [00:17:55] We're trying to identify it now. [00:17:56] Where was the shooter? [00:17:58] Somewhere out there. [00:18:01] In the lobby? [00:18:03] In the lobby? [00:18:04] All right, control. [00:18:04] All right, guys. [00:18:06] I just want you to know this is not verified. [00:18:07] We're just listening to what's happening right now. [00:18:10] But we have security around us, and it's Secret Service because there's a lot of members of the administration here. [00:18:15] The Secretary of Education is seated right next to me, and her security just said, confirmed that there was a shooter in the lobby. [00:18:23] It's not clear where. [00:18:24] Obviously, it's a very big hotel in the lobby of the Hilton. [00:18:28] He said he is confirmed dead. [00:18:30] Obviously, I mean, this is a total state of chaos right now in the vault. [00:18:36] So let's see here. [00:18:38] But you have to walk up these stairs and walk out, which I was doing. [00:18:45] And as I was walking back towards the door to get back into the big area where the event was taking place, all of a sudden I start hearing gunshots in the hall right near me. [00:18:57] And the next thing I knew, a police officer threw me to the ground and was on top of me. [00:19:03] And I was listening and watching what was going on. [00:19:07] And apparently they got the gunman. [00:19:09] who had a major weapon there, but it was so worrisome. [00:19:13] The noise was so loud in a small area, and all of a sudden I'm seeing gunshots. [00:19:18] And then they grab me, the police officers, and they take me back into the men's room where it was safe, and there were about 15 other men who are stuck in there, and they won't let them out. [00:19:31] And that's what happened. [00:19:33] And then after a while, they let me out, and I'm out now. [00:19:36] I'm not back in the ballroom, but. [00:19:39] Everything is apparently closing down. [00:19:42] A very scary incident. [00:19:43] All of a sudden, the guy with a weapon, and it was a very, very serious weapon, starts shooting. [00:19:49] And I happened to have been a few feet away from him as he was shooting. [00:19:53] And of course, the first thing he went through my mind is he was trying to shoot me. [00:19:57] And I don't think he was trying to shoot me, but I was very close to him as the gunshots were fired. [00:20:00] And it was very, very scary, but I'm okay now. [00:20:07] Wow. [00:20:07] Oh, Lee. [00:20:09] Okay, let's see. [00:20:12] So we got that. [00:20:31] It is now a crime scene. [00:20:34] Secret Service has the person in custody. [00:20:38] Everything's okay. [00:21:08] that's crazy all right in the ballroom and In the ballroom, and we're a few got that. === Shooter Apprehended Dead (15:13) === [00:21:26] So there's this them getting him out looks like. [00:21:29] Stay back, stay back, stay back. [00:21:49] Nigga got the gun pointed up. [00:21:50] I'm not sure what's going on there. [00:21:56] Okay. [00:22:01] Got that. [00:22:02] Let's see what else is going on. [00:22:03] Yep. [00:22:04] Running through. [00:22:08] This is earlier. [00:22:09] Security officials evacuate U.S. Speaker Mike Johnson. [00:22:15] Who protects the Speaker of the House, actually? [00:22:17] That's interesting. [00:22:18] Let me see here. [00:22:20] Who protects the Speaker of the House? [00:22:27] Capitol Police. [00:22:28] Okay. [00:22:35] Super Service is tossing the table, possibly looking for a bomb right after Donald Trump was rushed off the stage. [00:22:44] The fucking retarded music. [00:22:45] We have an update from our team on the ground that the person, the suspect, has been detained by Secret Service and that the president of the United States. [00:22:57] Now they're saying detained, not killed. [00:22:58] The United States, Kevin, will return. [00:23:00] The event will go on, is what we're hearing from our team on the ground. [00:23:03] He will return to the podium. [00:23:05] And it sounds like after they've sweeped the. [00:23:08] Property where this is taking place. [00:23:10] That to me, I don't know about you, Kevin, indicates that this threat has been neutralized. [00:23:14] They have this person in custody. [00:23:16] They feel that it's safe enough for people to return, for the president to return and continue this dinner. [00:23:21] What are your thoughts? [00:23:24] Kevin, I am with. [00:23:26] I'd be shocked if they let him back in. [00:23:29] Okay. [00:23:29] Secret Service now confirms that someone was killed by Secret Service in the lobby of the White House correspondents. [00:23:37] So now they're saying it's canceled. [00:23:38] We're getting all kinds of fucking answers, bro. [00:23:49] Marston Media, duck and cover for safety as gunshots reported. [00:24:22] Hey, shout out to you, Cody. [00:24:25] I wonder how many bombs are currently there. [00:24:27] Katie, do you have all your stuff? [00:24:28] Yeah. [00:25:57] fuck uh it's rob Thank you. [00:26:04] All right, here's Wolf Blitzer. [00:26:05] Sorry, someone happened. [00:26:07] Just coincidentally, after they served the appetizers, I walked out to simply go to the men's room, but you have to walk up these stairs. [00:26:15] This is better already than the last one. [00:26:17] Walk out, which I was doing. [00:26:19] And as I was walking back towards the door to get back into the big area where the event was taking place, all of a sudden, I start hearing gunshots in the hall right near me. [00:26:32] And the next thing I knew, a police officer. [00:26:35] Thanks, Chip, for the five. [00:26:37] Yeah, we know one shooter's down. [00:26:38] It looks like I don't know if there's one or two shooters, Chad. [00:26:40] He threw me to the ground and was on top of me. [00:26:42] And I was listening and watching what was going on. [00:26:47] And apparently they got the gunman who had a major weapon there. [00:26:51] But it was so worrisome. [00:26:53] The noise was so loud in a small area. [00:26:56] And all of a sudden, I'm seeing gunshots. [00:26:58] MF Speed, thank you so much. [00:27:00] And then they grab me, the police officers, and they take me back. [00:27:06] Into the men's room where it was safe, and there were about 15 other men who are stuck in there, and they won't let them out. [00:27:12] And that's what happened. [00:27:14] And then after a while, they let me out, and I'm out now. [00:27:17] I'm not back in the ballroom, but everything is apparently closing down. [00:27:23] A very scary incident. [00:27:24] All of a sudden, the guy with a weapon, it was a very, very serious weapon, he starts shooting. [00:27:31] And I happened to have been a few feet away from him as he was shooting. [00:27:36] Through my mind, is he trying to shoot me? [00:27:38] And I don't think he was trying to shoot me, but I was very close to him as the gunshots were fired. [00:27:43] And it was very, very scary, but I'm okay now. [00:27:48] Fucking crazy, man. [00:27:51] All right, let's see. [00:27:54] People were very upset and worried. [00:27:57] Jake Tapper. [00:27:57] And I have some video, so somebody needs to. [00:28:02] We have no signal. [00:28:02] There's never any signal here at the Washington Hill, so I apologize for that. [00:28:06] But I have some video to send. [00:28:09] But in any case, I have no idea what happened. [00:28:13] Somebody with a Secret Service pin said that there was a shooter made his way into the building, but not into the room. [00:28:24] And that shooter was stopped. [00:28:30] Hey guys, do me a favor. [00:28:31] Those of you watching on YouTube, smash that like button. [00:28:34] That's the least you could do for me being on this godforsaken app, giving you all the news. [00:28:37] Still haven't slept over 24 hours. [00:28:39] Smash the like button for me on YouTube. [00:28:41] Follow on Kick Two. [00:28:44] So that's all I know is that the shooter was stopped. [00:28:48] But people were jumping under tables. [00:28:51] People were very upset and worried. [00:28:54] And I have some video, so somebody needs to. [00:28:57] We have no signal. [00:28:58] There's never any signal here at the Watchman and Guild. [00:29:00] So I apologize for that. [00:29:02] But I have some video to send. [00:29:05] But in any case. [00:29:06] All right, let's see what else. [00:29:07] We saw this. [00:29:10] Okay, it sounds like you guys heard that. [00:29:17] Hear loud sounds. [00:29:25] President, show America that he is still here. [00:29:28] Of course, the question of whether or not Secret Service wants him back in the room, whether or not it would be okay, whether or not they feel we've heard that they believe that their threat is neutralized, but whether or not Secret Service feels confident enough to put him back in the room is. [00:29:41] Trump posted on True Social. [00:29:45] Peter, I just heard you. [00:29:46] You're heading out. [00:29:51] Okay. [00:29:54] It says here, quite an evening in DC. [00:29:55] Secret Service and law enforcement did a fantastic job. [00:29:57] They acted quickly and bravely. [00:29:58] The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended. [00:30:00] That we let the show go on, but will entirely be in guided by law enforcement. [00:30:03] They will make a decision shortly. [00:30:04] Regardless of that decision, the evening will be much different than planned, and we'll just plain have to do it again, President Donald J. Trump. [00:30:15] So now they're saying the shooter has been apprehended. [00:30:18] Is he apprehended or is he dead? [00:30:21] Which one is it? [00:30:27] Here's a live feed. [00:30:28] One more [00:31:17] time. [00:31:34] Trying to get you guys a feed here somewhere. [00:31:37] How do you think the president's reacting, especially after what happened in Butler? [00:31:41] Is he ticked off? [00:31:43] Is he defiant? [00:31:46] What do you think his emotion is? [00:31:49] Well, I think his demeanor is around the three words he said fight, fight, fight. [00:31:52] I think that's his demeanor, and he's going to have the same demeanor for this event as well. [00:31:59] Karen Bohan, once this is all settled and the investigation starts, Yeah, it might be one shooter or two shooters, and one is dead. [00:32:07] Guys, smash the like button on YouTube for me. [00:32:09] Smash the like button on YouTube for me, guys. [00:32:12] I'm demonetized, so the least you could do is just smash that like button. [00:32:15] Really appreciate that. [00:32:16] A lengthy investigation because this is a huge, huge lapse. [00:32:20] I mean, you know, this is, yes, the president is safe, and even if the event goes on, but for a shooter to get that close to the president at an event where, you know, the security precautions are known, you know, this is an event that takes place every year. [00:32:39] The president is attending as president for the first time, but he is not the first president to do so. [00:32:46] So, you know, what happened here, you know, has to be of a huge amount of concern. [00:32:55] Yeah, it looks like they, even when they took him off the podium, that they put him on the ground to begin, at least covered him there. [00:33:02] They didn't know what was happening. [00:33:03] And, you know, what's interesting to me through all of this is you've got this room of reporters, and we went through this at the beginning of the Trump administration. [00:33:13] Reporters are finally utilizing social media at that time in 2017. [00:33:18] So we got a lot of things in which, and this is where I had an issue with the media at the time, where they were reporting out through social media items that their editors wouldn't let them put in the newspaper because they didn't have two sources. [00:33:32] And it was a little loosey-goosey at that period of time in 2017. [00:33:35] For your listeners, I would not be surprised if they went to the individual feeds of some of these reporters. [00:33:41] They'd get a lot of information as well through X and other social media sites. [00:33:46] And it will be interesting. [00:33:48] Be right back, Chad. [00:33:50] President Trump posts on social media, which he just did. [00:33:54] Quite an evening in D.C. Secret Service and law enforcement did a fantastic job. [00:33:58] They acted quickly and bravely. [00:34:00] The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we let the show go on, but will entirely be guided by law enforcement. [00:34:09] They will make a decision shortly. [00:34:11] Regardless of that decision, the evening will be much different than planned, and we'll just plain have to do it again, President Donald J. Trump. [00:34:23] There it is. [00:34:24] It's interesting that let the show go on is in all caps. [00:34:29] So he feels very strongly about that. [00:34:31] Mike Dubke, when you see something in all caps from the president, how should we read that? [00:34:37] Well, I'm going to make a joke about this. [00:34:39] If it's prior to midnight, he really means it. [00:34:42] If it's after midnight, all bets are off. [00:34:46] But it sounds like, let's go back to this truth social post. [00:34:53] I have recommended that we let the show go on. [00:34:55] But will entirely be guided by law enforcement. [00:34:58] They will make a decision shortly. [00:35:02] That was at 9 17 p.m. that he sent that out, and it is currently 10 30. [00:35:09] So that was about an hour ago that he put this post out, or at least a quarter of an hour ago. [00:35:13] No, it's only 9 20. [00:35:16] I have, unless my watch is off. [00:35:17] No, no, no. [00:35:18] You are correct. [00:35:19] I apologize. [00:35:20] I'm trying to tell military time here in the studio clock, and that's not going to be successful. [00:35:25] My math skills are off. [00:35:29] So let's check. [00:35:30] We've got two C SPAN journalists, one in the ballroom, that's John McArdle. [00:35:36] We got Greta Brauner on Connecticut Avenue outside the Washington Hilton. [00:35:41] Greta, do you have any updates for us? [00:35:46] I have made my way to Connecticut Avenue, Peter, and I'm listening to all of you. [00:35:52] I heard what the president posted on Truth Social, and it will be interesting to see if the show goes on. [00:36:02] Sort of attendance there is. [00:36:04] Folks are filing out. [00:36:06] They are, you know, trying to find Ubers, walking blocks because this perimeter has extended from what it was when we arrived here this evening. [00:36:17] And you no longer are allowed to access the Hilton. [00:36:26] I'm about one block off of the Hilton, it's roped off. [00:36:32] I do want to add one bit of. [00:36:37] I guess color to the evening. === President Observes Situation (12:08) === [00:36:39] When we heard the Secret Service tell folks to get down, when the room fell to a hush, I was looking up from my table and Senator John Fetterman, I don't know if he was on CSAN camera, he was standing up the entire time. [00:36:56] I mean, the room of people at the tables were everyone, most everyone was ducking down following. [00:37:05] The orders that they were hearing around them. [00:37:08] Hey guys, do me a favor on YouTube. [00:37:09] Smash the like button. [00:37:10] Let's get to 1,000. [00:37:10] If we don't get to 1,000, I'm going to get off YouTube. [00:37:15] Let's get to 1,000. [00:37:16] We're sitting at about 600. [00:37:17] Let's get to 1,000, guys. [00:37:19] All right. [00:37:21] But Senator, I found it very interesting. [00:37:25] Woke up Friday. [00:37:26] Thank you. [00:37:27] FX Trex. [00:37:27] Thank you. [00:37:30] That's how he observed the situation. [00:37:34] Hey, Greta, I know when we've replayed now a couple of times the incident itself. [00:37:40] And Karen Bohan and Mike Dubke on the set with me, we could all hear the boom, boom, boom, boom. [00:37:47] Did you hear it when you were in the room? [00:37:52] Was that to me, Peter? [00:37:53] Yes, ma'am. [00:37:55] Yes, I did not hear gunshots, what people have described as what they thought were gunshots. [00:38:03] I did not hear that. [00:38:04] I heard what sounded like a tray clashing to the ground, people shouting, get down, get down. [00:38:14] And when I turned to look at the dais, as I said earlier, the president, first lady, the vice president, they were gone. [00:38:22] It happened incredibly quickly. [00:38:25] Yeah, they got him out of there. [00:38:26] And then you couldn't, from where we were at, you couldn't. [00:38:31] George says, smells like a false flag. [00:38:33] Now they're going to blame Iran for a leftist lunatic. [00:38:35] We'll see. [00:38:36] We'll see. [00:38:37] In the room, everyone was down. [00:38:39] The room was pretty quiet. [00:38:41] And then the Secret Service, the law enforcement started streaming in. [00:38:46] You saw them jumping on chairs. [00:38:49] They were quickly traversing the room on chairs. [00:38:55] And moving toward the front of the room, moving toward the principals in the room to get them out of the ballroom, it happened very quickly. [00:39:06] Greta, thanks for the update. [00:39:07] And I hope we can check back in with you in a little while. [00:39:11] It sounds like Greta will not be getting back in. [00:39:15] Mike Dubke, we're going to go back and show the true social and the true social post that the president put out at 9 17 this evening. [00:39:28] Can you confirm that he types those himself? [00:39:31] That he takes out a device? [00:39:32] He definitely does. [00:39:33] He types those, or does he? [00:39:35] I can confirm that every one of the posts that goes out, he has seen and approved. [00:39:41] He doesn't necessarily type every single one out. [00:39:45] That's generally for maybe minor ones. [00:39:48] I would almost guarantee you that he typed this one out himself. [00:39:51] That he typed this one out himself. [00:39:53] Yes. [00:39:54] Karen Bohan, has the president's use of social media been valuable to you as a reporter? [00:39:59] Well, it's valuable that we always know what he's thinking. [00:40:03] All right, let me read the chat. [00:40:05] Hyman Slayer, this is a false one I've been looking for. [00:40:07] Okay. [00:40:08] Doing my briefing to my command on the Iran war tomorrow morning. [00:40:11] Any developments on the straight being open? [00:40:12] I know we pulled out of talks with Pakistan. [00:40:15] No, straight's definitely not open. [00:40:17] Martin the Trooper, I'm watching 90% of my time because his IQ analysis is top notch. [00:40:24] Thank you, Martin. [00:40:24] Got you, my friend. [00:40:26] That's why I work so hard because a lot of you guys rely on me for your news. [00:40:28] So that's why I try to hold myself to a higher standard. [00:40:31] Trump was on social. [00:40:32] Yep. [00:40:33] Trump's social. [00:40:33] Thank you. [00:40:33] Got you, Albo. [00:40:35] Why would they say they're dead? [00:40:36] I don't know. [00:40:37] There might be more than one. [00:40:39] Chuckles for an espresso. [00:40:40] You're going to need it. [00:40:40] Yep. [00:40:41] DJ Richard, 1996. [00:40:42] Subscribe. [00:40:42] Welcome, dude. [00:40:44] Thank you guys for joining the OSS, man. [00:40:45] Love you guys. [00:40:46] All you guys that join OSS, man, it's a family, right? [00:40:49] It helps with being demonetized on YouTube. [00:40:52] Also, guys, speaking of demonetized on YouTube, smash that goddamn like button. [00:40:55] We're sitting at 2,200 of you guys in here. [00:40:56] We need to get over 50% engagement. [00:40:59] Okay. [00:41:00] Right when everybody gets some rest now, the shaft. [00:41:02] It's exactly, bro. [00:41:02] I was about to go to sleep. [00:41:03] Greetings, Fiora. [00:41:04] My apologies. [00:41:04] If you touched on it already, I've been in and out of the streams, but did you cover the lady from FIU got arrested federally over a joke? [00:41:11] I glossed over a little bit. [00:41:13] How long before Netanyahu makes the claim that he was in Iran? [00:41:15] Probably right now. [00:41:16] MAGA dudes are trying to say it's Iran, of course. [00:41:18] Rio, who wants to see some random white guy get knocked out live? [00:41:22] Okay. [00:41:25] When you say stage presentation, do you think the awards, the president, maybe the president speaks? [00:41:29] Call Mex. [00:41:31] Thank you so much. [00:41:32] Guys, by the way, again, smash that like button on YouTube. [00:41:35] And then also, if you guys are watching on Kick, follow the channel. [00:41:38] Okay. [00:41:38] Follow the channel if you guys are watching on Kick. [00:41:40] Right off. [00:41:41] I've seen the waiters come out since some of them were removing some of the salads earlier. [00:41:46] In terms of what the program could be, I mean, I would imagine that at the. [00:41:53] Wei Zhejiang will try to give some details. [00:41:56] They've said a couple of times now, we know you want to know what happened. [00:41:59] We'll have more information for you. [00:42:01] It seems like the president wants to say something. [00:42:03] Peter, do I think they're going to go with a full program with the awards and all the media and O's? [00:42:10] I don't think so. [00:42:12] But I think they want to do something. [00:42:13] This is a celebration of the First Amendment. [00:42:16] This is the freedom of the press and the freedom of the press not being intimidated by what's happening with somebody who wants to do violence. [00:42:24] I think. [00:42:25] That is now the priority, or I would guess that's the priority of the folks at the White House Correspondents Association right now. [00:42:32] All right. [00:42:32] Thank you, John. [00:42:33] We'll be back with you shortly. [00:42:35] Karen Bohan, when something like this happens, is there natural sympathy toward the attendee in this case? [00:42:45] So I think it does change the tone. [00:42:49] I think going into this, reporters were sort of poised for an uncomfortable evening in which the president would have choice words for reporters. [00:43:00] And, you know, I would expect that Weja will still emphasize. [00:43:06] Hooligan, thank you so much for the 10 gifted. [00:43:10] If you guys are brokeies, type in, I put the fries in the bag and somebody will hook you up. [00:43:15] The First Amendment and freedom of the press. [00:43:17] I don't think her remarks will change that much, but it definitely changes the tone. [00:43:24] Mike Dubke, again, we mentioned this a little bit earlier, but how do you see. [00:43:31] The currently written speech changing. [00:43:33] Is somebody from the communications shop frantically on a laptop right now and just rewriting this? [00:43:39] And there's an opportunity, frankly, here. [00:43:41] Okay, for those of you that just joined, shots were fired at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. [00:43:48] Trump was evacuated alongside other high level members like JD Vance, Vice President, Mike Johnson, et cetera. [00:43:56] Yo, I'm live right now. [00:43:58] I'm calling on Discord. [00:44:00] Oh, you are? [00:44:00] Okay. [00:44:09] Got my bro in right now for you guys. [00:44:10] Be here with an olive branch, and I and hopefully, and I would think that the media would receive it as well. [00:44:16] CNN reports that Secret Service is urging President Trump not to return to the ballroom. [00:44:20] All right, we in here. [00:44:21] Yo, all right. [00:44:23] Yeah, yeah, hold on. [00:44:23] I'm gonna turn my camera on and everything. [00:44:26] You were just about to get off, man. [00:44:27] Yeah, bro, these niggas is me up, man. [00:44:29] Holy okay, but it's all good. [00:44:33] Um, let me turn my camera off. [00:44:35] Boom. [00:44:35] All right, oh, my bad. [00:44:44] Yeah, so I was literally just telling my chat. [00:44:47] I went live right away, bro. [00:44:48] I didn't even get to eat my food. [00:44:50] I'm about to eat right now, but I was saying I was going to talk about the whole Iran Pakistan thing, how Trump is kind of falsely posturing or whatever. [00:44:57] And then, of course, you have this happen. [00:44:58] So I thought it was a little bit more pressing, but thankfully, it seems like the president is okay. [00:45:03] What's that? [00:45:04] Here, I'll share a screen right now because I got, I already got, I got the broadcast going. [00:45:08] So let me, yeah, that way you can. [00:45:10] I was just looking at some of it with my stream and go ahead and pull up your MC. [00:45:13] I got it. [00:45:13] Yeah, because CEO is no longer on the podium. [00:45:16] Perhaps a sign that the president may not be coming back out. [00:45:19] He said in that true social post that, of course, he'll let law enforcement make the final decision. [00:45:24] Yeah, I don't know if they're going to let him back in there. [00:45:26] That he won't be coming back out. [00:45:27] But literally, just about 15 seconds ago, somebody came up and took that. [00:45:31] I know he wants to go back, but there's no. [00:45:33] I'd be shocked if they let him go back there, bro. [00:45:35] Because they don't have to clear the building and shit like that. [00:45:40] Which it seems like they're doing right now. [00:45:42] But, you know, we are blessed to have Mike Dubkey here tonight because it would be highly irresponsible to let him back. [00:45:48] But of course, people got to understand his psyche, right? [00:45:50] He wants to act like he's tough and not frighten himself. [00:45:53] Is it over at this point? [00:45:54] I think that it probably is over at this point. [00:45:57] Yes. [00:45:58] Now it'll be interesting to see if he's still at the Hilton or if he has already been returned to the White House. [00:46:05] But with the situation that he's definitely at the White House, bro. [00:46:07] It sounds like Greta was telling us about around the Hilton. [00:46:10] It sounds like he still might be at the Hilton. [00:46:12] He could very well be, but if they're making that decision. [00:46:15] And here is the Secret Service and their press release. [00:46:19] The U.S. Secret Service, in coordination with the Metropolitan Police Department, Is investigating a shooting incident near the main magnetometer screening area at the White House Correspondence Dinner. [00:46:30] The President and the First Lady are safe, along with all protectees. [00:46:35] One individual is in custody. [00:46:37] The condition of those involved is not yet known, and law enforcement is actively assessing the situation. [00:46:45] So, and that is Chief of Communications from the U.S. [00:46:48] Okay, so he's not dead then. [00:46:50] They're saying in custody. [00:46:50] He's not dead. [00:46:51] We know the location. [00:46:52] Yeah, CNN had a false report. [00:46:54] Kate Kahn's retarded. [00:46:56] I have once before, but I think you were there this morning or this earlier today. [00:47:02] You've been and you're the former chair of the association. [00:47:05] You know exactly where those magnetometers are. [00:47:07] We all, anybody who's been to the dinner, and every single person that goes into the team, Bird, thank you so much for the send gifted. [00:47:16] Mr. Hooligan, again, thank you. [00:47:17] Guys, if you guys enjoy, you know, covering breaking news, political commentary, etc., follow the channel on Kick Ninjas. [00:47:24] The ballroom, those are relatively close to the ballroom, too. [00:47:27] Yes, yes, yes. [00:47:29] But the line to get to the magnetometers is long. [00:47:32] You're right. [00:47:33] Typically. [00:47:34] But it's chaotic there. [00:47:36] It is. [00:47:37] And, you know, they check your tickets. [00:47:40] Here's Wi Zhizhang, CBS News. [00:47:43] It's a room full of reporters, so I know you've already seen the president. [00:47:47] My apologies. [00:47:48] His post. [00:47:48] Will I address Carolyn Levitt's interview before? [00:47:51] Why should I address that? [00:47:51] Did she say something? [00:47:53] I saw it circulating. [00:47:54] Let me pull it up. [00:47:56] Yeah, what did she say? [00:47:57] I think it was probably before the shots were fired. [00:48:00] She said something regarding the shots, I think. [00:48:02] Let me see. [00:48:04] Consistent with protocol. [00:48:07] And here it is here. [00:48:10] All right, pull it up. [00:48:11] Going to share it. [00:48:12] I'll mute this shit while you pull it up on your side. [00:48:14] Because we could actually have two screens. [00:48:17] Yeah, I got it going here. [00:48:18] Let me turn the volume up. [00:48:20] All right, go ahead. [00:48:21] Rumble, is he not? [00:48:22] He is ready to rumble. [00:48:24] I will tell you this speech tonight will be classic Donald J. Trump. [00:48:29] It'll be funny. [00:48:30] It'll be entertaining. [00:48:31] There will be some shots fired tonight in the room. [00:48:35] Okay. [00:48:37] I get what they're trying to get at here, but. [00:48:39] Obviously, she meant that figuratively because Donald Trump is probably going to rip on half of the room. [00:48:43] Everyone should tune in. [00:48:44] It's going to be really great. [00:48:45] I'm looking forward to hearing it. === Delayed Secret Service Response (14:49) === [00:48:47] I love it all. [00:48:47] And you wrote most of it. [00:48:48] Of course, highly coincidental, but I already know the conspirators are going to jump on that. [00:48:53] Most of it you said. [00:48:53] I can't take credit. [00:48:57] In true Donald Trump fashion, the man puts his pen to the paper himself. [00:49:00] So it's a lot of his own work. [00:49:04] Yeah, so that's why they're going crazy about it. [00:49:06] No, I mean, it's a little weird, right? [00:49:08] There's a coincidence there, no doubt. [00:49:09] But when she says shots fired, obviously. [00:49:12] In hindsight, it sounds like it's like this double plan, but realistically, at the time, she just meant Donald Trump is going to make fun of every single person in the room. [00:49:19] Yeah. [00:49:19] Like he always does with the White House press. [00:49:21] Yeah. [00:49:21] He always, he always uses nicknames and calls them, you know, Gavin Newscomb, Ron DeSantimonious, you know, Crooked Hillary. [00:49:30] He has all these fucking nicknames for people. [00:49:31] You know what I mean? [00:49:32] The failing New York Times. [00:49:34] Like, bro. [00:49:35] A lot of people are speculating. [00:49:36] I mean, what are your thoughts? [00:49:37] Obviously, it's early, so we're just having fun here. [00:49:39] But a lot of people are saying, oh, false flag to make Trump look better. [00:49:43] I don't know. [00:49:44] I don't know if I really believe that. [00:49:45] Um, I mean, the shots were in the lobby, right? [00:49:49] But one of the main questions that I have off the bat, and I know Suleiman was kind of asking you about this while you were in the space, is how did that guy get even within the vicinity of the president? [00:49:59] Well, it was a security apparatus not on point. [00:50:01] Obviously, Secret Service is understaffed, like you were saying. [00:50:04] They have local forces support them. [00:50:06] He was in the lobby. [00:50:07] He wasn't in the actual vicinity of the dinner, but still, it's like a little bit too close for home, right? [00:50:11] Yeah, but the thing is also, like, people forget that, like, protection is not the same as regular law enforcement, right? [00:50:16] Like, most cops don't go. [00:50:20] To the academy to teach like protection detail. [00:50:22] Like they're like learning. [00:50:25] When they go, they learn how to, you know, normally police procedure. [00:50:28] Protection versus law enforcement is two different things. [00:50:31] So a lot of these guys that they like get are like local cops andor maybe other agencies that don't specialize in protection. [00:50:38] The only agencies really that specialize in protection are the Diplomatic Security Service, DSS from the State Department, and then Secret Service. [00:50:45] Those are the main law enforcement agencies that like, you know, are pretty much exclusively protection first agencies, law enforcement second. [00:50:53] So What ends up happening a lot of times is like, you guys, you got these dudes on these details. [00:50:57] They don't want to be there. [00:50:58] They're pissed off. [00:50:59] You know, they got to wear a fucking suit. [00:51:01] You know, it's just like, it sucks. [00:51:02] Right. [00:51:03] And I could tell you Capitol Police was there as well. [00:51:05] Yeah. [00:51:05] They were probably there. [00:51:06] Yeah. [00:51:06] And then you maybe Secret Service Uniform Division 2. [00:51:09] Hey, Bandslide, thank you for the gifted sub. [00:51:11] So it's just a miserable position, bro, to be honest with you. [00:51:13] And a lot of people like hate that shit. [00:51:15] So, um, that's long, grueling hours, a lot of work, no life. [00:51:20] Yep. [00:51:20] Even as a single person, it's pretty grueling. [00:51:23] But, Precisely. [00:51:24] Yeah. [00:51:24] No, it's crazy. [00:51:26] That is some. [00:51:28] It's always Trump with these situations, right? [00:51:29] So, really interesting. [00:51:31] They are not inexpensive and it'll be hard to find that ballroom. [00:51:35] So, I think it's fantastic he made that offer. [00:51:38] Guys, smash that like button. [00:51:40] Let's get to 1,000 likes, 1,500 likes on YouTube. [00:51:44] I'm on here, even though this platform sucks. [00:51:46] My brother's on YouTube as well. [00:51:47] Make sure to open a tab for him. [00:51:48] Does it take about a week to put together? [00:51:50] It takes months. [00:51:52] It literally takes months. [00:51:53] After tonight's dinner, would they? [00:51:55] Would they start planning next year's already? [00:51:57] Yeah, immediately after. [00:51:59] You know, in 2011, I immediately began planning for the dinner in 2012. [00:52:05] You know, that starts with finding the entertainment, which presumably doesn't have an issue there because presumably Oz Perlman would return for that. [00:52:18] But all of the logistics around the dinner, I mean, you're talking about an event. [00:52:23] I see some people in my chat are confused. [00:52:24] Guys, to clarify, this was at the Hilton, this was not at the White House. [00:52:27] The news organization. [00:52:28] There was a White House correspondence dinner, but it was, yeah. [00:52:30] Yeah. [00:52:31] Well, another official post by Donald Trump. [00:52:34] Law enforcement has requested that we leave the premises consistent with protocol, which we will do immediately. [00:52:40] So it sounds like he is still at the Hilton. [00:52:43] I will be giving a press conference in 30 minutes from the White House press briefing room. [00:52:47] Okay. [00:52:47] First Lady, plus the Vice President, and all cabinet members are in perfect condition. [00:52:53] We will be speaking to you in a half an hour. [00:52:55] I have spoken with all the representatives in charge of the event, and we will be rescheduling within. [00:53:01] 30 days. [00:53:03] President Donald J. [00:53:04] Yeah, I knew they weren't going to let him go back. [00:53:06] Hey, no, you still got to get a word in. [00:53:08] Yeah. [00:53:09] You still got to get a word in, though. [00:53:10] Yeah, he's like, I did this speech. [00:53:12] I'm going to cook. [00:53:13] I made this speech. [00:53:15] Practice for fucking three days, probably. [00:53:17] There's Trump language there. [00:53:18] The rest of this was probably crafted by the press team. [00:53:22] He went through with his Sharpie. [00:53:23] He edited it down. [00:53:24] He made sure that he wanted to convey that thought. [00:53:28] But there are some Trumpisms in that true social. [00:53:31] That's how it works. [00:53:31] In perfect condition is a Trumpism. [00:53:34] I would. [00:53:34] That if you're asking me my expert opinion, that's what I would say. [00:53:37] All right, one more time before he has to exit the ballroom. [00:53:40] John McArdle is at the Washington Hilton. [00:53:43] Mr. McArdle, any updates that we don't know yet? [00:53:49] John is not in the ballroom, or if he is, he cannot hear us. [00:53:53] But let's take a couple calls from our viewers, see what their reaction is to this. [00:53:58] And we'll take those calls right after one more time. [00:54:01] Let's replay the events of now, about an hour, hour and a half ago. [00:54:07] And this is what happened, and this is what caused the tumbling of events. [00:54:12] Let's watch. [00:54:20] There you go. [00:54:30] Wow, that was loud, at least from the audio. [00:54:32] Yeah. [00:54:42] Trump was like, I've been here before. [00:54:49] I mean, not to get into the nitty gritty, man, but maybe I'm being unfair. [00:54:54] I feel like the response was a little delayed from Secret Service. [00:54:57] I don't know. [00:54:58] I'm not trying to rip on Secret Service. [00:54:59] They get enough flack as it is, but kind of took them some time to get to the stage, bro. [00:55:03] And those shots were loud. [00:55:04] But at the same time, there didn't seem to be a reaction from anybody at the table. [00:55:08] So maybe from the audio we're hearing, it was louder than it actually was in person. [00:55:11] I don't know. [00:55:12] Yeah. [00:55:13] But. [00:55:13] Thought that reaction was a bit slow. [00:55:15] The covering of the president. [00:55:16] They didn't necessarily take him out of the room. [00:55:18] What were they doing? [00:55:19] They were. [00:55:20] Evan S.B., thank you for the five gifted, bro. [00:55:23] Or no, nine gifted. [00:55:25] Appreciate you. [00:55:26] Happening there, assessing the situation to make sure that they could get him up and move him out. [00:55:31] It was, again, I hate to keep referencing this, but we saw a very similar action in Butler. [00:55:37] And you've seen this with other presidents as well, where they make sure that he is protected by a body, in this case, of a Secret Service agent, and then. [00:55:47] When it's safe to move him, move him out quickly. [00:55:49] Yeah, and it looks like the journalists now, Karen Bohan, are being. [00:55:52] All right, so for those of you guys that are just joining, because we got a lot of people watching right now between all the different platforms, we got what, like 4,000 or 5,000 of you guys in here. [00:56:00] So between my brother, 4,000 to 6,000 of you guys in here. [00:56:04] No bots, of course. [00:56:05] Guys, basically, shots went off at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C. Secret Service immediately secured the scene, got the president out of there, evacuated him, Mike Johnson, JD Vance. [00:56:17] You know, obviously, the three people that are in the succession line when it comes to being president of the United States. [00:56:21] A lot of people don't know. [00:56:22] The Speaker of the House actually is number three after the vice president. [00:56:26] It's a very powerful position. [00:56:28] But yeah, so they rushed them out of there. [00:56:30] It seems like Trump is going to do a press conference. [00:56:32] We're going to wait and see what's going on. [00:56:36] We don't really know too much. [00:56:37] I know that we're getting conflicting stories. [00:56:40] One side, they're saying that the shooter was killed, another one is saying the shooter was apprehended. [00:56:44] I think the official narrative now, because CNN misreported it based on what you said, right, Riyad, that the shooter's apprehended. [00:56:51] So, since he was captured, it might be a bit till we get his name. [00:56:55] But, you know, that's kind of why I'm reserving, like, giving too, too much commentary because figuring out who he is is going to help us a lot with knowing what the hell actually transpired here. [00:57:05] So, yeah. [00:57:06] And for some, go ahead. [00:57:08] In the intricacies of it, at least what we know right now is the shooting was in the lobby of the hotel, not actually where the dinner took place. [00:57:15] At least that's what it seems like from the video footage. [00:57:17] No one got up and scurried away or, like, ran. [00:57:19] So, there were distant shots. [00:57:21] There were about four to five of them. [00:57:22] That's what reports are saying. [00:57:23] CNN had reported initially he was dead, but now Donald Trump and the Secret Service himself, obviously from C SPAN that we're watching here, have reported that he's apprehended. [00:57:31] So, yeah, there's really nothing else. [00:57:33] We don't know what kind of gun. [00:57:34] We don't know who it was, what his motives were, but that will all come to light probably very early on tomorrow or at some point tomorrow. [00:57:42] Well, he might actually, Trump might like spill the beans and say what it is. [00:57:45] For this type of event with a security event on top of that. [00:57:49] Yeah. [00:57:50] And the fact that both the president and the vice president, the speaker of the House, were all in. [00:57:55] Hey guys, smash that like button for me. [00:57:57] We're sitting at 1,000 likes, 2,500. [00:57:59] You guys watching live on YouTube, we got another 1,700 or so. [00:58:02] We got 1,700 on Kick, 1,000 on Rumble, 400 on OSS. [00:58:07] Do me a favor, smash that like button on YouTube. [00:58:10] John, what's going on? [00:58:12] Just wanted to give you a sense of the end of this here at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. [00:58:20] You can see the journalists are all making their way out of them, standing next to the ABC News table. [00:58:26] Drinks are half drunk and plates are half drunk. [00:58:31] But at this point, the room is clearing out. [00:58:34] There was that announcement you heard from Wei Zha Zhang that there will be a statement from the White House and that it's going to be happening in less than a half an hour, saying that's not a joke. [00:58:43] There was almost an audible groan from some of the reporters in the room when they heard that, because many of them then started moving very quickly to the doors, knowing that they had to cover it. [00:58:52] This is the White House press corps. [00:58:54] And they. [00:58:56] So apparently, they got the shooter near the Magnameter. [00:59:03] Let's see here. [00:59:03] I think NBC is. [00:59:07] The different ways that someone could have gotten around the. [00:59:10] Secret service shooter apprehended near Magnameter of White House correspondence. [00:59:13] Inner Trump is safe. [00:59:14] Great point, Ryan. [00:59:15] Thank you for bringing that up. [00:59:16] Stand by. [00:59:17] We want to go live now to Julie Sirkin, who is. [00:59:19] Got 15K watching on here. [00:59:21] Okay. [00:59:22] So Suleiman just posted something. [00:59:24] Yeah. [00:59:24] And the source is CNN. [00:59:25] Suspect assembled a long weapon in a lightly monitored area near the terrace level entrance, according to a volunteer witness. [00:59:31] Here, I can show this on screen very quickly. [00:59:33] All right, go ahead. [00:59:35] Yeah, anytime you pull something up, just put it on screen. [00:59:37] I got you. [00:59:39] Okay. [00:59:41] So, again, suspect assembled a long weapon. [00:59:43] The room had bar charts being stored and no security at the time. [00:59:47] Witness Helen Mavis said the gun didn't look like a typical gun and was assembled from a bag. [00:59:51] Gunmen then rushed towards the stairs leading down to the ballroom, opened fire in multiple directions. [00:59:54] Witness estimates at least 10 shots. [00:59:57] From what we heard, it was like five, but of course, there could have been more that we didn't hear. [01:00:00] A law enforcement officer was struck, hit in the vest, condition unclear. [01:00:03] One person in custody, Trump, Melania, safe. [01:00:04] Secret Service and Metro Police actively investigating. [01:00:07] Here are some photos. [01:00:08] From probably people on the scene, journalists or whoever else is there, media executives. [01:00:12] So maybe that's him. [01:00:13] Again, bro is alive. [01:00:14] Okay. [01:00:14] Yeah. [01:00:15] You know why? [01:00:16] Yeah, this seems like he probably got hit and they had to cut his clothes off to give him aid. [01:00:21] That's probably what happened. [01:00:23] Save him. [01:00:23] Okay. [01:00:24] Yeah, because he got hit. [01:00:25] Got it. [01:00:26] So obviously, whenever you get hit like that, the cops are just going to cut your clothes off immediately with the shears and start rendering aid because you want this guy alive, bro. [01:00:33] Like, yeah. [01:00:34] Stuff like this. [01:00:35] Got to figure out why the hell he did that, what his motives were, who he knows, what was planned next. [01:00:39] Exactly. [01:00:39] Which is why they were clearing the building and sweeping it because, of course, they didn't know if there was going to be a second wave, a third wave, if there was a planned chain of events, things like that. [01:00:46] So, yeah, it seems like these are official pictures. [01:00:48] This looks like it's the real deal here. [01:00:49] So, there's another one. [01:00:51] Okay. [01:00:52] But, yeah, it seems like he was apprehended right away. [01:00:54] Yeah. [01:00:54] Let's see what she's saying over here. [01:00:56] That come to this dinner that invite members of the administration and so on and so forth. [01:01:00] And Congressman Raskin told me that he was walking to our table. [01:01:03] He hadn't even gotten there yet, just to show you how early on in this dinner program this was, when he said that two Secret Service agents. [01:01:11] It's Madison Lightbone Chat. [01:01:12] I tackled him, and I have to tell you, being in the room, being under the table, actually, because my colleague, Jose Diaz Bellart, you might know him, shoved me in there essentially in that moment in a protective way. [01:01:23] And we're so grateful that we were there with colleagues and fellow reporters and members of Congress and everybody just really in that moment sort of stuck together. [01:01:31] But it was confusing and it was chaotic. [01:01:33] And when I walked out and I saw Congressman Raskin sitting there, he was with Kerry Kennedy. [01:01:38] And he said that when the Secret Service jumped on him, he jumped on her. [01:01:42] And she was nervous that she may have broken her rib. [01:01:44] One thing that's still kind of raw around here, believe it or not, is January 6th. [01:01:49] It was so long ago, but for Congressman Raskin, it feels like yesterday. [01:01:53] He actually was so calm moving through that experience. [01:01:56] I was kind of taken aback. [01:01:57] He was our guest, so I wanted to make sure he was okay. [01:02:00] You know, he's older, he's had some health conditions, and he was cool as a cucumber. [01:02:05] And he told me it's because he remembers what happened on January 6th. [01:02:09] And he brought up the fact that people have been talking online. [01:02:13] You know, conspiracy theories floating around about the assassination attempt that we know happened to the president. [01:02:18] So, this is a very fraught environment. [01:02:20] And I think, you know, covering the White House as well, in addition to Congress, it's clear the president wanted this to go on. [01:02:26] Jamie Raskin actually said he was going to return inside because he told me the show must go on. [01:02:31] So, I think it's a resilience as well. [01:02:33] But of course, the president realizing, as he said in his post with Secret Service, that that was just not a safe environment, especially as they're still trying to figure out and process the scene, what happened, all of the Exits, all of the entrances, all of the hundreds of people who are staying here completely unrelated to this event. [01:02:49] I think this will be a security posture that we're going to see for some time tonight, and I think the president obviously going to address that soon. [01:02:58] And Julie, we do want to remind our viewers that the president, probably in the next 10 to 15 minutes, will be making a statement from the White House briefing room. [01:03:06] You can see the podium empty at the moment, but people, reporters, and correspondents are gathered. [01:03:11] Totally unnecessary. [01:03:12] He just has to say something. [01:03:14] An extraordinary evening. [01:03:16] Julie, can you tell us where you were sitting in that ballroom in relation to the president and in relation to the stage and that head table, and how the president's demeanor appeared to you as this was all happening? [01:03:33] Yeah, I'm going to be completely forthcoming. [01:03:34] Where I was sitting, I was facing the stage. === Empty Podium Gathering (02:23) === [01:03:37] I was a couple of tables from the stage. [01:03:41] So you could see the president, well, you could see the press secretary, you could see the head of the White House Correspondents Association, fellow journalists. [01:03:48] And the program was really just beginning, as I mentioned. [01:03:51] I was talking to my colleague, Jose Diaz Bailart. [01:03:53] We were just starting our meals. [01:03:56] And we heard, I mean, what sounded like gunshots, but in that moment could be anything. [01:04:02] With a room so packed, You immediately eye the exits. [01:04:05] I've been in this room before, as have my colleagues. [01:04:07] This is a place, by the way, outside of the White House Correspondence Center. [01:04:11] Hey guys, get ready. [01:04:12] I'm going to switch off of YouTube here in a little bit. [01:04:15] I'm going to give you guys my kick link. [01:04:16] Or you guys can go to my brother's channel. [01:04:18] I tagged his channel in the title. [01:04:20] So you guys can click there as well if you want. [01:04:21] Places, if any, that fit the capacity of people here. [01:04:24] And so they are used to these kinds of high profile events. [01:04:28] I remember while I didn't see the president because of where I was facing. [01:04:31] And as I said, I ducked under the table. [01:04:34] Jose pushed me under it, and we were trying to figure out what was happening. [01:04:38] We thought it was gunshots. [01:04:39] You know, as a journalist, you are constantly, do I film? [01:04:42] Do I not? [01:04:42] But in that moment, it felt like it was gunshots. [01:04:45] And we were told to get down by Secret Service because they wanted to escort the VIPs out of the room, understandably so. [01:04:51] I saw Speaker Johnson getting rushed out. [01:04:53] He was maybe two tables to the right of me. [01:04:56] I saw Tom Emmer, who is a member of House Republican leadership as well. [01:05:00] He actually already has an injured leg. [01:05:03] We've seen him the last couple of weeks rolling around on a little scooter in the Capitol. [01:05:06] So they got him out later. [01:05:08] I was already out from under the table when I saw him. [01:05:10] You know, being limped out, ushered out by police, but there were cops, uh, Secret Service jumping on her table trying to get everybody out. [01:05:17] Okay, so it is this is fresh, but Deborah Lee is saying at the White House correspondent dinner, there was no metal detectors or no pat downs. [01:05:25] Obviously, we know who she is full on Zio, but yeah, and look at this posting a thirst trap after someone tries to kill the president as a choice. [01:05:36] Yeah, this is wild.
