And tonight, a New Jersey man is under arrest.
Now, law enforcement says this woman that you're looking at right here, she is 31-year-old Nerdine Kiswani.

She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and infant son.
Kiswani is a high-profile activist who has organized several controversial pro-Palestinian anti-Israel protests.

The criminal complaint says the Molotov cocktails contained EverClear, which is a highly flammable alcohol.
Well, Fox 5 spoke with some of the suspects' neighbors.
These guys had been here for quite a while, went to Stevens.

So on or about February 10th, 2026, the defendant Heifler participated in a video call with a group of individuals.
Among those individuals, an undercover law enforcement officer, the UC, during the call, after stating that he had to be careful about what he was about to say, Heifler asked the group whether anyone had space to do trading for how to use instruments that were not knives, guns, or crossbows for self-defense.
Heifer then clarified that he was looking for a space where he could throw Molotovs.
After Heifler made that comment, the UC sent Heifer a message via an encrypted messaging application stating, Hey, looks like about that in person.

The following day, on or about February 11th, Hefler and the UC met in person.
During the meeting, Heifler discussed vandalizing the home of a certain individual, Victim 1.

Heifer then began to discuss Molotov cocktails telling the UC and summon substance that Molotov cocktails were not complicated to make and discussed using a Molotov cocktail against an individual target.
Heifer told the UC undercover that he had an escape plan referring to a plan to leave the country at the end of April.
In response to the UC telling Heifler that he had a car that they could use, Heifler stated that they would need to obtain fake license plates for the car.
Heifler stated that he wanted to carry out the attack shortly before he left the country.
However, then said in some substance, I'm thinking, like, shout out to O'Langley.

However, then provided an overview of the plan.

On or about March 4th, 2026, Heifer and the UC met again in person.
During that meeting, Heifer and the UC drove to the victim one, to Victim One's residence to conduct surveillance using an address provided by Hefler.
Hefler told the UC that he had made a Molotov cocktail before and that he had tested a Molotov cocktail for DNA using a kit that he had purchased at a pharmacy.
Because the DNA testing resulted in traces of Hefler's DNA on the Molotov cocktail, Heifler told the UC that they would need gloves to carry out their plan.
Heifler and the UC then discussed their plan to build approximately 12 Molotov cocktails.
Hefler also planned exactly where to throw the Molotov cocktails at Victim 1 residence and suggested throwing several Molotov cocktails at the Victim 1 residence and two Molotov cocktails at cars parked outside the Victim 1 residence.
Heifer also told the UC the end address where they could hide out after they threw the Molotov cocktails.
Heifler and the UC further discussed throwing Molotov cocktails approximately two days before Heifler left the country.

On or about March 23rd, 2026, Heifer and UC communicated through text message on an encrypted messaging application.
During the conversation, Heifer and the UC discussed making Molotov cocktails the week of March 23rd, 2026.

Nick said Thursday, March 26th would be the best to bake.
On or about March 26th, March 24th, 2026, Heifer and the UC communicated through text message on encrypted messaging application.
During the conversation, Heifer and the UC confirmed their meeting for Thursday, March 26, 2026, and ultimately agreed to meet Heifler's residence in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Heifer told the UC that his plans to leave the country were delayed until mid-May.

On or about March 26, 2026, Meifler and the UC met at Heifler's residence as planned.
When the UC met with Heifler, Heifler was carrying a large bottle of Everclear, a liquor with a high alcohol content.
Heifler also had other components to make the Molotov cocktails present at the residence.
Also, honor about March 26th at Heifler's residence, the UC and Heifler assembled eight Molotov cocktails.
Heifler's wet eight corks, and one cork was placed in each of the eight Molotov cocktails.
Heifler also put rags near the Molotov cocktails.
Heifler explained that he would not place the rags into the Malatov cocktails until right before the attack on Victim 1's residence to ensure the efficacy of the Malato cocktails.
During the assembly of the Malatov cocktails, Heifler reiterated to the UC that some of the Malatov cocktails would be thrown at cars and some would be thrown directly into Victim 1's residence.

At the assembly of the Malato cocktails, law enforcement executed a federal search warrant at the residence and recovered eight Maltov cocktails.
Members of the FBI's bomb technician squad conducted a preliminary analysis of the Malta cocktails, including a field test of the liquid inside the Malato cocktails.
The field test was positive for the presence of ethanol, a known ignition liquid, for improvised IEDs, basically.
The preliminary analysis was that the Molotov cocktails were destructive devices.
Heifler did not apply to nor receive approval from the Secretary of the Treasury to make the firearms.

So basically, while they were doing the operation, they were getting a search warrant at the same time.
And once it was confirmed, they kicked the door in and they probably arrested both the guy and the undercover.
They arrested them both at the same time.

When Heifler expressed interest in Molotov cocktails, the detective messaged him directly, where investigators say Heifler revealed his plan to firebomb the Staten Island home of Nerdine Kiswani, the co-founder of one of the largest Palestinian-led community organizations in New York within our lifetime.
