Goddamn right.
And that's also like, just to make clear, that's not, those aren't like throwaway episodes.
There's like pure heat on there.
There's, some would argue that's, that's where it gets even more raw, which is hard to believe.
I know.
Despite what you may have heard from our enemies at Abe Lincoln's top hat, every one of those episodes is just as good.
Just as good.
The quality that you have come to expect from this show.
Yeah, if not better, if not better.
Just kidding about Abe Lincoln's top hat.
I don't know those guys.
Okay, today I wanted to tap in, I wanted to touch base with the Trump presidency, right?
This is an important guy.
This is a guy who was a president, might become a president again.
That's pretty crazy.
Become president twice, like, come on.
If he becomes president again, like we have to respect him because he's the president.
You got to respect the president.
I don't know if I can handle that.
Well, that's why that's why I hate Trump so much is because he's the only one that could get me to disrespect the presidency.
You know, like I feel bad.
I hate that he brings that out in me because I should know better.
It's not a good look on you, you know?
It's not cute.
Hating the president is not cute.
And it's not effective.
You know, Biden's not going to listen to you if you if you say you hate him.
Come on.
You got to pretend to like him.
And then he'll do what you want.
Totally.
That's what that's why he's not doing anything is because he knows that we hate him.
It's working for all those people on Twitter who like him a lot and are clearly happy right now.
Yeah, they're pumped.
No, we need to, we need to talk about Trump.
Hey, we need to talk about Trump.
We got to do it.
Um, you see Donald Trump's shoes.
Oh, I saw John.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I, I, I saw them.
Of course, everyone sent it to me.
Everybody sent it to me and thank you.
I understand that the things that means you know me, um, that was nuts.
The thing that really blew my mind is that that was at sneaker con.
Right.
So tell us a little bit about sneaker con where Trump did debut the new $400, uh, Trump shoe.
Sneaker Con is exactly what it sounds like.
It's a convention for sneaker heads, something that I've stopped caring about a long time ago because I'm pretty on record saying that sneaker culture is wash because of the influx of corny white dudes involved in it.
And if this does not solidify my theory, I don't know.
I don't know what will be.
It's a convention that's just for sneakers, like people buying and selling rare sneakers, different producers debuting new collaborations, yada, yada, yada.
And yeah, for it to be unveiled like They're honestly big ups to his team.
Like that was.
That's that's the move, because that's the only place that's the most credible place you can debut a sneaker.
So like SneakerCon doesn't have any like liberal leanings or anything like that.
What I could glean from that, that they let him use, you know, their their format as a showcase.
It has no leanings.
It's just shoes.
It's just sneakers.
It has zero.
I mean, the only politics are sneaker politics, and we don't even want to get into that.
It has no leanings.
It's just capitalism there.
OK.
Yeah, let's listen to a little bit of audio from Trump presenting at SneakerCon.
I think that's the first, maybe, maybe not the first time.
And we have a few young ladies that are up here crying.
Look at you with the Trump 2024.
Thank you, darling.
I love you too.
Wow.
I think that's the first, maybe not the first time.
It's one of the few times you've just heard a steady hum of booze.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like lasting minutes.
And that's that it sounds like feedback.
Yeah, it does.
It sounds like a hum.
Amazing.
Trump is, of course, like, look at these three ladies up front.
They love it.
Look at them.
And I think you can hear him saying like yelling back, we love you and stuff like that.
Later on, I want to look at Ben Shapiro's reaction to this.
We get even more audio from the pro Trump crowd.
What we're going to hear right now is mostly people booing Trump like throughout his entire debut of these shoes.
There's a lot of emotion in this room.
Thank you.
And I'm sorry, I hate to say it, he's like the king at this.
Yeah, yeah.
Like, look at how he dealt with just literal non-stop heckling.
Wow, a lot of emotion.
A lot of emotion, yeah.
A lot of emotion in this room.
And you can't tell him he's wrong.
Thank you.
So so the really nice thing is we have lines and I want to thank.
This is like Trump in his element.
He's like he's like doing The Apprentice again right now at this podium.
Yeah, this rules.
He's not this is not politics.
This is pitching a product.
This is all this is.
And he so he he gets to thrive.
It's pitching a product to like.
A wrestling audience where he is the heel.
Absolutely.
You know, it's it's it's what he was made for.
Chase, and I want to thank Alan, but we have lines going all around the block.
They're going all around this, but they've never seen anything like this one.
I just want to tell you, you know, I've wanted to do this for a long time.
I have some incredible people.
There was there was maybe like what, like 100 more people there because of Trump.
Oh, maybe.
I'm assuming it's already a pretty popular event.
It's extremely popular, yeah.
I can't imagine that people went out of their way just for that.
Well, the people who bought the Trump shoes did, yes.
There are people who bid on autographed Trump shoes from this event.
One guy paid $9,000.
And I will I will say, though, like buying the shoe is not an endorsement of the person in this environment.
Mm hmm.
Like there is that there is a there probably is a lot.
There's probably a couple people who are buying them because they're fans.
But these are just vultures.
These are just vultures who are buying who are buying the shoe because they really think it's going to have resale value, which is insane.
The guy I was talking about who paid $9,000 for autographed Trump shoes and then says MAGA 2024 in the video.
I think that guy might have just been there for Trump.
I don't know if that's a normal shoe guy.
You know what I'm saying?
Possibly.
Yeah, I didn't see that guy.
That's sad.
That's really, that's really sad.
With me on things, and they came up with this, and this is something I've been talking about for 12 years, 13 years.
13 years?
I do believe that.
I do believe he's been talking about making a shoe.
Like, ever since he watched Jumanji, he was like, I could run a shoe factory.
I'd have no stupid little kid in the way either.
That was his first mistake, bringing his kid to work.
I got I got to say like it.
That's pretty good, because I think that the sneaker culture really went or went over the cliff maybe like six years ago, so he's still ahead of the curve.
I'll give him that.
That was a good timeline to say you've been wanting to do it for.
Do you remember in Jumanji, the shoe factory?
No, I was, I just, I just assumed that.
Is that, is that where like he originally worked?
It's where his dad worked?
It's where his dad worked and he went to work and he fucked up one of the, he fucked up like the factory line.
And then he blamed it, I think, on a Hispanic worker, or one of the Hispanic workers got the blame for it and then fired, and the child ran away in shame, and that's when Jumanji got him.
So, the whole part of Jumanji is he deserves it.
Yeah.
I didn't realize that he deserved it the whole time.
Yeah.
I was being sympathetic to that poor kid, but he's a little shitty asshole.
By little kid, see, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know your Jumanji knowledge here.
It's been a minute.
I do have to correct you.
The little kid I'm talking about is Robin Williams.
Yeah.
Is the one who grows.
So you're only, you know, so he does get his comeuppance in the form of banishment to the jungle for 30 years.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Yeah, that kid deserves it.
Robin Williams' character did deserve what he got.
Absolutely.
No jails, just Jumanji.
I think it's going to be a big success.
Your influences have been very positive.
They've been real influences and they love it.
It's so fucking funny.
They're just yelling and cussing at him.
It's great.
I love it.
We read here from, uh, oh no, let's watch the Ben Shapiro video because the thing is, is like other than the people who were at SneakerCon and then also in the, I think the replies to, uh, one of these Donald Trump shoe tweets, you can, you can, you can find conservatives who are like, Yeah, there's nothing wrong with a pair of shoes, you know?
He's a businessman.
This is cool.
Like, the most, like, lackluster, perfunctory defenses of, yeah, their president selling a goal, a fake Air Force One, like a golden fake Air Force One with a big T on the side of it.
Like, and the people selling it, like the people actually, I mean, the organization selling it, Is CIC Ventures LLC, which is a company that Trump reported owning in his 2023 financial disclosure.
And then the company that sold his NFTs that we reported on last year, CIC Digital LLC, instead of CIC Ventures.
This is almost as embarrassing as the NFT cards.
Yeah.
At least this is tangible.
Right.
It's a thing.
It's not even because it's a shoe.
That's part of it.
That is part of why it's embarrassing.
Not that selling shoes is embarrassing, but a guy who's running for president selling a shoe is very funny.
It's not even that.
It's just that it looks so fucking bad.
It looks so bad.
It's a goofy fucking shoe.
But you know, you know what it is.
You said Air Force One, and I don't know if anyone out here remember this.
It's a super sky top.
It's the super sky top, and they did have it in that gold.
And like that was a hot that was a hot shoe in 2007, 2009.
2007.
Do you think Trump knowingly stole it?
I think I think someone over there was like, I think if anyone can bring back the sky top, it's it's Mr. Trump.
Like, it looks like an old Converse, you know, like a PF Flyer Top Upper with, like, the most basic Payless Shoes Airwalk sole underneath it.
So it looks like two different eras of shoe.
I don't know, the upper could be cool if it wasn't shiny gold, the laces are gold, there's a T, and then there's an American flag on the band that goes around your ankle, whatever that puffy part of the high top would be called.
Bad, bad stuff, man.
This is like one of those guys who does, who performs as a silent robot on the sidewalk.
This looks like the shoes that he would wear.
That guy's probably bummed because he was like, I was going to get it just for that.
I was going to get it for work and now these people who don't even need gold shoes are going to be buying them up, you know?
It's like it's like when, you know, skaters got mad that everyone started buying SB's.
They're not even going to skate those guys like they're not even going to pop lock in those.
They're not even going to do any pop locking in the gold shoe.
What an ambitious colorway like that's so wild.
I mean, do you think it makes sense?
It's like, yeah, it's just like as little thought as possible put into it.
Just like, OK, Trump's known for gold and America.
So there you go.
Do you think he just saw enough people selling like, um, drop ship, like Alibaba shoes with the word Trump on them that he was like, like Yeezys, like bootleg Yeezys with the words MAGA on the side that he was like, I guess people are buying these.
Let me go ahead and make my own.
I'm willing to say that like Trump probably knows more about bootlegging shoes than you would think.
Oh, yeah, like like dating back to like when you could just buy buy them on the streets of New York City, you know, and you probably still can, but in fewer spots, you know, like.
I think he knows, like how a shoe hustle runs.
I'm willing to I'm willing to bet that he knows like suppliers.
It is really weird because I know that it's only like a thousand pieces, right?
There's only like a thousand pairs, I think.
To get a shoe made with only a thousand pairs is almost harder than getting a shoe made with, you know, a few thousand pairs.
And what I bet was I bet they were like, this is the sample.
He got a thousand sample shoes made.
And he's like, this is the deal.
This is the best.
This is the best deal ever.
You know, I got I got to run it.
Yeah, they sold they sold out.
They sold out and they're going on eBay for I saw a screenshot that said one or one pair sold for 45 grand.
I didn't verify.
That's got to be a joke because that's like that's his that's his number.
That's his president number.
Yeah.
I did see that the average price of the resales on eBay were like three grand.
So those people made money on them, to be sure.
I wonder if they're on StockX.
I'm going to look up on StockX.
Let me play this Ben Shapiro video.
The title of this video, again, Pure Cope from Ben Shapiro.
The name of this video is Trump's Sneaker Con Appearance Drives Media Wild!
Which is also how Fox News framed it.
Trump sparks emotional reactions from crowd in surprise visit to sneaker convention.
Now this is like, it's Trump at his best.
It's like conservative media and Trump like working together at their best because Trump is just a natural and he just knows what to say to his haters, to the losers and haters and then Republican media, right-wing media can just, you know, pick that up and run with it.
Yeah, Trump's sneaker con appearance drives media wild.
They were hysteric.
They were in hysterics.
Here it is.
...are portraying as foolishness and craziness and all this stuff.
We'll have no... And it is also true that much of the stuff that the media are portraying as foolishness and craziness and all this stuff.
We'll have... Craziness, chintziness, you know, lack of redeeming moral quality or whatever.
It's not gonna bad.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No impact on the race.
So there's certain stuff that may have an impact and then there's stuff that won't have an impact.
One of the things that's not going to have an impact, but that the media made a big deal out of is that over the weekend, Donald Trump went to something called SneakerCon.
Now, this kind of stuff, it's stupid.
It's laughable.
It's stupid.
It's embarrassing.
It's a kind of a national joke for our movement.
You know, whatever.
Yeah.
But is it going to hurt Trump in any way?
No.
So Trump goes... He's trying so hard to find a silver lining to this.
Yeah.
He goes to SneakerCon and he's selling golden Trump sneakers.
And, you know, it's funny at the very least.
There we go.
Wow.
You stumped the whiz kid.
Trump did something so cringe he actually shut Ben Shapiro up.
He actually shut that yap for a second.
Speechless.
People are chanting f**k Joe Biden.
No, they're chanting f**k Joe Biden.
Yes, that's what you guys were chanting.
It's very funny that, like, I... So, we're watching Ben Shapiro watch coverage from RSBN.
Which, right side broadcasting network, I'm gonna guess.
This is like a boutique media outlet for the right wing, but it's got, you know, sort of official looking chyrons and banners on the screen.
Live in Philadelphia, PA.
It's got that sort of bug on it.
We're watching right wing media and that's the only place that I saw video of his supporters chanting, fuck Joe Biden.
Now, if I were to search Fuck Joe Biden Trump sneaker, I might I might find some outlets like reporting it.
But that's you didn't see any of that.
All you saw was just the Trump sneaker.
Oh, go ahead.
No, no.
I did see it.
I saw them sharing it, saying they were saying, let's go, Biden.
I saw Dems sharing it, claiming that people were chanting Let's Go Biden.
See, it's too confusing.
But they're not.
They're clearly not saying that.
Like, the original chant was Let's Go Brandon.
Yep.
Right?
So, like, if you're saying Let's Go Biden, that could still mean Fuck Joe Biden.
You just, you know what I mean?
Like, it's too confusing.
I don't like this mantra they do.
But yeah, the caption was claiming they were saying, let's go Biden.
And if you click on it, you can audibly hear him saying, fuck Joe Biden.
OK, well, that's so funny.
That's I was kind of talking about a different thing that I would expect media to be like Trump supporters were screaming cuss words at the top of their lungs.
You know, in support of the president at a shoe conference or whatever, that'd be like good fodder for, look at these crazy MAGA people, or whatever.
But I haven't seen that.
I'm looking at right-side broadcasting network in order to see that, in order to see them present themselves like this.
Very interesting.
Yeah.
Thank you very much.
That's beautiful.
This is something I've been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it's going to be a big success.
Your influences have been very positive.
They've been real influences, and they love it, and they love what we've done.
That's the real deal.
That's the real deal.
Yes, we need him!
He's a Christian!
He's a good, honest man!
Okay, I'm gonna stop it here again.
Here is another thing that I did not see until I watched right-wing coverage of the Donald Trump shoe thing.
This is a Trump fan, a, looks to be young or middle-aged woman, 20-something, maybe 30-something, kinda hard to tell because her face is in such contortions as she's yelling and crying about how much she loves Donald Trump.
He's brought her on stage, I think she was like, This was pre-planned.
He's brought her behind the podium.
Let's listen.
They're after him for no reason.
Go out and vote for Trump.
Vote Trump.
What the fuck?
Why?
Why did he bring her up here?
Yeah.
Who is she?
She sounds nuts.
She's wearing a Trump hoodie.
She's wearing like a white hoodie that says Trump and I think it says Trump and dark letters on it.
She's probably like some TikTok pastor or something.
She sounds like she's it sounds like a joke.
It sounds like something like this is how you we would make fun of somebody doing this.
Sure.
Yeah.
He's a good man!
Vote for Trump!
He's a good man!
Look at his family!
They're all good kids!
All good kids!
Yes!
Vote for Trump!
Vote Alright, let's hear how Ben spends this one.
all that but you know what is that gonna have any negative impact on trump he raised by the way those sneakers which were selling for like 400 bucks a pair they sold out immediately that was like a thousand pairs of 400 grand on those sneakers now would you wear those like around the mall i don't know and will they make you run faster jump higher but is that sort of stuff going to going to harm trump's campaign any real way like can't keep on track he's like too embarrassed he He has to.
He has to like mentally whip himself to get back on subject about how it's not going to hurt Trump.
Not really.
It's the other kind of stuff that that is a problem for Donald Trump.
Oh yeah, I watched.
I watched a video right after the things from the same episode of Ben Shapiro where he talks about what is a problem for Donald Trump is when he goes on Laura Ingram and talks about how mail-in voting is is illegal and You know, on the run-up to a national election.
That's wild, yeah.
Yeah, I love that.
He was like, you probably shouldn't tell people not to mail-in vote if they can, you know?
Yeah, yeah.
Extremely funny.
But it is the Charlie Kirk thing of the election was stolen, the election was stolen, why aren't you voting?
It's like, well, because you told me the election gets stolen every year.
Anyway, why?
So what's the point?
Why would I vote about it?
Trump is doing that in this national campaign.
It's very, it's very, very funny.
Awesome.
I love, I love watching Ben, Ben deal with that.
Speaking of Ben, yeah, I wanted to read the Daily Wire.
Well, there's nothing really to read here.
It just does mention that the sneakers come as Trump was dealt a blow late last week when a New York judge ruled that he must pay more than $350 million in a civil business fraud case.
I believe that's the case where he said his his properties were worth far less or far more.
I think far more in order to get Loan payment.
I think I think that was the that was the scheme that they did.
I was reading a little bit about that.
I think we're going to dive into that next episode.
Very, very funny stuff, because it seems like.
The responses to that is like, well, everybody does it.
Yeah, duh.
Obviously, the fact everybody with, you know, millions of dollars in real estate does it.
All right, folks, that's why, you know, it's good.
I'm sorry that our president is relatable.
Um, yeah, that he did.
He dropped this shoe that looks does look like the like.
High top shoe, you know, generic high top shoe 001.
Yeah.
This, this, this shoe is made as like a movie prop for like Richie Rich.
Like the joke is, oh, he's a, he's a, he, he got sneakers that are made of gold.
And like, that's, that's what they look like.
They don't look real.
Um.
But they are.
They're real.
They're a real deal.
Oh, these companies, the, the companies that he's, he apparently owns, CIC Ventures and CIC Digital.
I was like, what does the CIC stand for?
Because it's, what is it?
Corrosions and conformity?
Probably not.
Crackers in control?
Crackers in... Could you see?
That was my first... My first thought was, CONSERVATIVES IN CONTROL!
And then once I thought that, I was like, no, it's Commander-in-Chief.
Oh, fuck.
It is Commander-in-Chief.
Gotta be.
Gotta be.
Commander-in-Chief Ventures LLC.
That's my shoe company.
Also, if anybody does want to start a white power band called Crackers in Control, let me know.
You just can't be white.
You just can't be white if you want to, but it is going to be what we're going to do.
Yeah, it's where it's my NFT slash shoe company commander in chief, commander in chief LLC.
Uh... Oh, what if he starts a weed company?
No, don't!
Commander-in-Chief?
Chiefin'?
Yeah, hell yeah!
He's got to now.
He's gotta do it.
But yeah, for the website that sells the shoes says Trump sneakers are not designed, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Donald J. Trump, the Trump Organization, or any other, or any of their respective affiliates or principals.
The website also says in fine print that it is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign.
I don't, like, Insane the amount of shit I think that private businesses get away with because he admitted to, he filed that he owned the company that sold the shoe.
Yeah.
So how is he saying that he didn't sell it?
That's, makes no sense, you know?
Like I'm, like as a regular Joe, as an average Joe, I'm confounded by this.
It's like he's just covering all his bases, you know, this way he can either claim it or he can step back from it.
He can either say, yeah, it's me or like I had nothing to do with that.
So I guess I guess he made he made money off of these shoes.
I don't think he made 350 million, unfortunately.
This is one of the clapback memes I saw from Democrats about about the shoes.
There were memes like, oh, these are the real Donald Trump shoes, and it was what kind of shoes do you think it was?
Uh, boots?
I'm talking from Democrats.
What kind of shoes would Democrats think Trump wears?
You can play this at home, too, while you're listening.
Golf shoes?
Golf shoes, that's a good guess.
No, clown shoes.
Clown shoes!
Oh, that's funny!
Gold-plated clown shoes.
I also saw this meme from It's Married with Children.
And it's Peggy and Al and Peggy saying, my husband is a broke ass shoe salesman.
And then underneath is Melania Trump saying, mine too.
If I was a shoe salesman, I'm posting this right away.
I'm like, I can be the worst and be a shoe salesman and bag bag the baddest one, just.
The baddest shorty in the city saw me selling shoes.
Insane poll on this.
You know who everybody hated?
Al Bundy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Did not like that man.
Did not relate to that man.
Everybody hate watched him.
They were just they would walk and they would boo the screen.
Yeah, yeah.
So, yeah, a lot of, like, perfunctory conservative posts about the shoes.
You know, oh, Donald Trump announces new shoes, but, like, didn't really want to push the issue.
Andrew Clavin, another Daily Wire guy, yeah, posted just, uh, posted the article we read from, uh, Trump sells shoes for $3.99 or whatever.
Judah Peters says, sold all the way out.
Might become collector's items when he passes, regardless if you like them or not.
FYI, nobody liked Van Gogh's paintings when he made them.
But everyone regret not getting them.
Totally.
Yep.
I do regret never buying a Van Gogh painting.
Me too.
It's something I- I- It's hard to live with.
Um... Like... This- You- You could say, I'm trying to think of a better analogy, and I went like, I was like, okay, who is a painter and also a politician?
And then I went to that, you know, the guy, Hitler.
Oh, I went George Bush, but yeah, yeah.
Hitler's probably a better one.
Well, George Bush, I guess, too.
Like, do you think George Bush's paintings of Iraq war veterans would be worth anything if he weren't the one who maimed them?
You know, that's like a big part of it.
Trump is like one of the most merchandised people in the world.
Trump is like the human kiss.
Yeah, absolutely.
Like, have we?
We have seen a Trump-themed coffin, but I think that one was custom-made.
I think somebody had that custom-made, so maybe Kiss still beats Trump in that respect, but Trump's been, like, that's what Trump is.
He's a name.
He's a merchandising opportunity.
I get emails every day about how I can get a free knife by joining this other mailing list as well, a free Trump knife.
A free a free Trump coin.
You know, yeah, yeah.
And like, because it's funny because, you know, that kind of stuff, it was exciting when you saw like a pen from an election in the 80s or 70s, like, oh, this is so cool.
Got a little pen like it.
I don't know if in 30 years we're going to be as enthusiastic when we see every every item possible with the word Trump on it.
No, that's exactly what I'm saying.
Like, you're not even gonna have any content.
You're gonna be like, was this made in the 90s?
Was this made in the 2000s?
Was this made in the 2010s?
Was this made in the 2020s?
There's gonna be no way of knowing because it all looks like shit.
I did look it up and there is a Trump pinball machine, so... Okay, okay.
At least he has that with Kiss.
It looks like shit.
It looks like dog shit.
It's like a, it's like a tabletop one.
It's not a real one.
It's like a fake one that you put on your kitchen table.
Is there like a little, I don't know how much detail you can see in there, but you know how like the bowling ball go through like Double doors, you know, behind the scenes sort of a thing, you know, and like a themed... Did I say bowling ball?
I meant pinball.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I knew.
OK, well, you got to correct me because if I don't, you know, I'll look stupid if nobody... I know the difference between a... I just want to get on the record.
One's little.
Yeah, but in the Trump game, when you burst through like the barn doors, it's like backstage at Miss Teen America, you know?
You get like 5,000 points.
Lights up.
You get like a million gropes and you get points for all those gropes.
You just, you go behind the doors and you hear... Just racking them up.
You gotta do it!
You gotta go to the pageant!
You gotta bounce off every one of them.
Yeah, it's gonna become a phrase in pinball when you get a bunch of poison ones.
You went backstage of the pageant right there.
Oh damn, look at him.
He's congratulating the competitors.
Good for him.
Yeah, good job.
What was this one?
Yeah, this is one of the other few defenses of the shoe.
I saw Lois Sarah says, sounds like a quick way to raise cash.
Go Trump!
Yep.
Like, again, they're just not... People don't know what money is.
People don't know how money works.
There's 400 pairs of these.
I'm sorry, there's 1,000 pairs of these, $400 apiece.
That's not $400,000 profit, by the way.
That's just not how that works.
This is not enough money for him to think about twice, which is what makes it really weird, actually.
So weird.
So weird.
The money's the weirdest part about this.
He's probably going to, like, sell those CIC Ventures for a billion dollars.
Like, that's how he's actually going to make money.
Somebody's gonna come in and, quote, value CIC Ventures and CIC Digital as two billion dollar companies, and he's gonna sell, he's gonna hand off control of both of them for two billion.
I bet he actually I bet he actually has like 4000 pairs and just knows that he has that if he waits a solid year and then you can list them.
On eBay, a solid year from now.
You can sell him from way more, and he's going to get in trouble for that, because you can't do it.
I don't think you can do that.
Why?
Why not?
It's like it's like it's the shoe Geneva code.
I think it's like a production thing.
Yeah, I think it's like back.
It's like because I know there was a thing about Nike, Nike back, people working at Nike back during stuff.
But I guess it's him doing it.
So not really.
But that wouldn't surprise me if he just heard about how the value of shoes can skyrocket if they need to.
You just put like one pair up every month.
You have one of your business managers You know, what do you call it?
Temps.
You know, or not temps.
What is it called?
The unpaid intern?
Intern.
Yeah.
Just have one of your business manager's interns upload a pair of shoes for $5,000 every month.
Exactly.
Yeah.
And just keep that going.
That's a good fundraiser right there.
Okay, so I saw this reply from Chip Graff.
Donald Trump just had the best week of his life financially.
Dot, dot, dot, dot.
Merger of Truth Social approved by regulators.
His shares will be worth about $3 billion when all is said and done, LOL.
And this is something I hadn't heard of.
Had you heard of this merger, Tony?
This is a real thing.
No, no, unfortunately not.
This, I believe, is still exaggerated.
But I had to look this up.
Okay.
Reading here from the Washington Post article.
Truth Social merger deal wins key approval of victory for Trump.
The former president's stake in the post-merger company would be valued at today's share price at nearly $4 billion.
He's not able to sell any of these shares.
The deal will go through because the SEC allowed it.
The deal will go through for a like investment company that doesn't actually do anything except invest to merge with Truth Social.
Is it truth?
Yeah, truth.
It'll merge with truth social.
And that'll be like its only product.
And for whatever reason...
That company were a digital world is like valued so high digital world, which is like an investment company that's underwritten by a Shanghai based corporation called like Air LLC or some shit like that.
That's when you have enough money, you can just make shit up.
Yeah, it's all it's all made up.
So that they're basing like because Trump owns like 58 He owns like somewhere between 58 and 69 percent of truth social Right now or that's what he would own of the company post merger But he can't sell any of those shares and also like the valuation Of a company that only exists to buy Trump's social network.
Which, according to this Washington Post article, Trump media generated $3.4 million in revenue and lost $49 million during the first nine months of 2023.
So negative 46 million dollars in the red just from the last nine months.
Somehow this company is supposed to be valued at 9 billion dollars.
I don't understand anything.
Trump Media is a quote money losing company that generates less than 5 million per year.
Ritter said Digital World, he said, is in his view a classic meme stock whose price is totally unrelated to the underlying fundamentals.
And yeah, it does seem like a bunch of people, rich people, could get together, pour money into a, quote, company that does, quote, investments, and then do a huge windfall for one of the candidates running for president that year by merging with his company.
Like, it's pretty obvious why they would be doing this.
Yeah.
Like, this is just funneling money straight to him.
You know, that's incredible.
Like, how are they just allowing this?
So if we can just get enough people to, like, say that I'm good and, like, say that they're, like, signing their stuff onto it, that, hey, he's good.
We value him this much.
Can I just, like, get a black card?
Rich people have to like you, Tony.
Rich people have to actually like you.
They like Trump for some reason.
This is like a long, delayed deal.
And the reason it was delayed is because that company, Digital World, they had to settle charges with the SEC that it, quote, misled investigators and violated anti-fraud provisions in the original merger plans.
So the ones they drafted up before were illegal and fraudulent and misled investors, but now they got the good ones.
Now they got the right ones, so we're going to let it go ahead.
They're going to be charged, I think, $18 million.
They're going to have to pay an $18 million fine for that violation.
The profits that they made off of this merger announcement?
Like they're also facing a federal prosecution arguing that they made tens of millions of dollars in insider trades related to the merger deal.
In addition to a charge of money laundering for one investor who used profits from that insider trading to buy a $14 million luxury yacht he named Provocateur.
What an asshole!
That's kind of sick.
That's kind of sick.
Yeah, you want to go see the $17 million yacht I bought through Insider Training.
It's called Lil' Stinker.
Listen, I will say, if you feel kind of weary of somebody, don't get on their boat called Provocateur.
Don't get on that yacht.
Um, don't do it.
What if I took a car ride with a guy who named his coupe de ville Bad Widdle Boy?
Saying seems fine.
Little naughty man.
The deal is expected to easily win shareholder approval given the likelihood that the share prices will rise after the merger.
I get like I don't like it's a bunch of rich people going like, yeah, let's just make this happen.
Let's just let's just give ourselves more money.
What do you guys say?
Now I understand how Edison felt when I was like, no, guys, listen, if you just turn it on, they're going to give me the money.
And now I understand why they were resistant to that.
Yeah.
Good stuff.
It's so fascinating to find out what's legal in this country.
Yeah.
And what's legal for people with more than $18 billion.
That opens up a whole world of possibilities.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
Awesome.
Letting someone running for president like finance and will and deal a social media website is just so cool.
Letting someone running for president like finance and will and deal a lot of money.
How have you been?
I'm dying, my motherfucker.
You see a smile on my face.
How old you've been?
But you have no idea how the struggle was in.
The battle between what's wrong and what's right.
And I don't know what side to win my heart tonight.
From this war inside.
I wanted to do one more story on Trump before we got out of here.
uh...
Thank you.
Did you hear about the Alabama in vitro fertilization ruling, Tony?
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Yeah, Alabama ruled that fertilized embryos, even if they're being stored in like a fridge, you know, awaiting implantation, those count as full human beings, and they have full human rights.
They did this in order to award a wrongful death Whatever ruling to a couple to three couples, I believe, who lost embryos in an accident at an in vitro fertilization center, which is like.
I don't know if I'd want like I'd be pissed if the if a hospital or a lab or whatever knocked my fucking future son, my future daughter, my future non-binary child off onto the floor.
It's splooshed open and they went everywhere.
I would be mad, but I wouldn't want them charged with murder.
Murder?
Yeah.
I would definitely require restitution.
Absolutely.
I would demand satisfaction to be sure.
But I wouldn't go to the Supreme Court and be like, no, these count as human beings.
I wanna sue them for a million dollars in a wrongful death lawsuit, please.
Yeah, that's nuts.
That's a huge asshole.
I know people, you're struggling with having a baby, it can be frustrating or whatever.
Don't need to be that big of an asshole about it.
No, no, that's why, like I said, I understand, yeah, get compensated for sure.
But like, to say that it was murdered?
Also, you're feeling real confident in yourself.
Because I gotta tell you, kids die all the time.
About half the time.
About half the time, yeah.
So, you know, you might, what if you do get one and then you end up, you know, if they die at all and you're the parent, I think you should also be, you're a murderer.
Totally.
If you're a parent of a kid that dies for any reason whatsoever, murderer.
Yeah, that is what we're saying.
Eric Clapton, we don't forget.
Don't forget.
I mean, that one kind of was his fault.
That one kind of was.
Yeah, a little bit.
Hey, but what a song.
Which one?
You know, there's so many.
Exactly.
Exactly.
I like the one about the 14 year old.
That's the one I like.
Yeah.
I like the one about heaven.
I like the one... Nah, it's not worth it.
I just realized I don't really know any Eric Clapton songs.
Well, he does Layla, but there's nothing that funny about it.
No, no.
Unless you, you know... Go ahead.
Unless you change the words completely.
Yeah, it is funny.
I think Layla... I'm trying to remember.
Layla is the one that beat either Metallica or Nirvana for like best rock performance and it was the acoustic version of Layla the like second which is which is a good version I like that version I love that I figured there was an era where like rockers are being persecuted for rocking too hard That's all I remember about the controversy around that song.
They made up for that, though, by giving Power Trip the best live performance.
Fuck yeah, they did.
So yeah, they made up for that.
Finally.
So the in vitro fertilization ruling is like a psycho ruling done by a psychotic Supreme Court.
Let me read here from this article.
The article is about Trump finally responding to this ruling.
Trump breaks silence on Alabama Supreme Court IVF ruling.
Quote, find an immediate solution.
Okay, so the way, I don't know, this is being framed is interesting because a lot of people are correctly reading Alabama's ruling on this as a natural conclusion of the culture war over reproductive rights.
A lot of people are like, This is what you get from a group of people who believe life begins at conception and believe that reproducing people shouldn't have control over their own fucking bodies.
And it's hard for the right wing, for pro-lifers, to confront this because in vitro fertilization is like, it feels like a third rail.
It really does feel like something that's Not necessarily important to every American, but almost every American can sympathize with the idea, you know, like if you wanted a kid and couldn't have a kid, it's great that you can, that science can help you.
And it's, it's great for people who want to have a bunch of kids, you know, which is in line, you know, for as much as the right wing hates reproductive freedom, they also like having a bunch of kids.
Totally.
So it's this is a this is a wedge issue for conservatives, and it's interesting watching them react, and it's very interesting watching Trump's reaction here.
But go ahead and what were you going to say, Tony?
There's also this thought, too, though, is like because the success rate of in vitro fertilization is not very high.
Oftentimes, you know, the the the embryo rarely doesn't doesn't always even become a fetus.
So if that's the case, Now, are you going to be like all those poor girls we see getting in trouble now for for having lost, you know, for having miscarriages?
Now, is that is that going to happen?
Because that is a very common thing that a lot of these people who were trying to make all these babies experience.
Yeah.
And that's going to be that that I don't see how you couldn't read it that way.
Well, if the Alabama law is in place like it is going to be murder like that.
And that's why this has basically stopped.
Sorry, I guess I didn't.
Elaborate on that.
Thank you for doing so, Tony.
That's why this is such a big problem, because when you're doing in vitro fertilization, you implant like four or five embryos, I think.
You implant multiple embryos just in the hopes that one of them will develop.
And then at that point, if you're screening for You know, fatal defects or, you know, disease diseases that you might be, you know, conditions that you might run in your family or whatever.
Well, that's that would be considered, yeah, like murder or abortion or whatever under this law.
But it's a hard thing for conservatives to, like, own out loud because they know it sounds insane.
This is what Trump had to say.
Former President Trump broke his silence on a controversial Alabama Supreme Court ruling that frozen embryos created during fertility treatments can be considered children under state law.
Under my leadership, the Republican Party will always support the creation of strong, thriving, healthy American families, Trump posted on Truth Social on Friday.
We want to make it easier for mothers and fathers to have babies, not harder.
That includes supporting the availability of fertility treatments like IVF in every state in America.
Like the overwhelming majority of Americans, including the vast majority of Republicans, conservatives, Christians, and pro-life Americans, I strongly support the availability of IVF for couples who are trying to have a precious baby.
Today, I'm calling on the Alabama legislature to act quickly to find an immediate solution to preserve the availability of IVF in Alabama.
The Republican Party should always be on the side of the miracle of life, and the side of mothers, fathers, and their beautiful babies.
IVF is an important part of that, Yada, yada, yada.
I love it when it's like we're the party of convictions, we're the party of like sincerely held religious belief and try to live in godly ways, except when it conflicts with our other political project of like flooding the earth with our progeny, our Christian, you know, racially pure progeny.
Yeah, yeah.
You know what I mean?
Like it's this is like very clearly not just a political Uh, decision where it's like, oh shit, a bunch of people do actually like IVF.
We shouldn't be seen doing insane shit that prevents labs from being able to artificially inseminate.
Um, but it's also like, no, we like, we genuinely like more kids.
We like have, you know, big families and all that.
So it's just like, nah, we're just going to turn that switch off.
You know, we've now decided that life doesn't begin at conception because we like this other thing more.
Yeah, I mean, because this is like people don't talk about IVF at all.
So it's like you said, it's not like you said, it's a third rail, but also it's something that people don't want to talk about at all, because there's like some shame involved in it.
I think for some people, there's a lot of reasons why it doesn't get talked about at all.
So it's never been brought up, just like how in this statement Trump's talking about all these things.
And he doesn't really say anything about abortion.
There's no like he doesn't say like abortions bad in this.
He's just saying birth is good.
Just like how for the longest time these people have been saying abortion is bad and we won't talk about IVF and how that's kind of like.
There's no way the Bible is cool with IVF is what I'm saying.
There's just no there's just no way.
Yeah, it's a sticky situation for them.
Justices citing anti-abortion language in the Alabama Constitution ruled last week that an 1872 state law allowing parents to sue over the death of a minor child, quote, applies to all unborn children regardless of their location.
Quote, unborn children are children under the act without exception based on developmental stage, physical location, or any other ancillary characteristics, Justice J. Mitchell wrote in the majority ruling.
Another justice, Parker, wrote, So it was funny, because Trump has just now, like this Fox News article says, broken his silence on this.
Yeah.
the destruction of his image as an affront to himself.
So it was funny before, because Trump has just now, like this Fox News article says, broken his silence on this.
Yeah.
Up to this point, point, conservatives were running fairly positive pieces about the Alabama ruling because a lot of these conservative outlets are captured by like right wing traditionalist Christian people who do view conservatives were running fairly positive pieces about the Alabama ruling because a lot of We'll get into that in just a second.
Or they were doing things like making fun of crazy left-wingers who think this is Handmaid's Tale or whatever.
Like, the article that they're promoting right under this article is making fun of Michael Moore responding to this ruling saying, like, they're gonna go after masturbation.
They're gonna go after, you know, sperm and eggs and shit.
Yeah.
Like, that's all they... They know that this is, like, sort of a sticky issue, but...
Now Trump has come out and said that, no, this we're going to get this shit reversed.
So pretty funny that Fox News is like caught on their back foot a little bit like this.
One of the other articles they were running was like, uh, so-and-so says Alabama IVF ruling violates the separation of church and state because the justice cited a Bible verse in his ruling.
And it's like, that's a legitimate fucking concern, man.
Like, yeah, that's real.
You're not really making fun of this person.
You're taking something that a lot of people know is stupid and connecting it directly to their religious belief.
You know, connecting it directly to like fundamentalist Christianity.
So the way that like the liberal media or the mainstream media like AP or NBC is.
Reporting this.
They're writing breaking former President Trump calls on Alabama lawmakers to protect IVF services after state Supreme Court ruling.
Um, like the liberal media is doing like a glowing coverage of Trump's statements here, you know, saying like Trump's fighting hard to get IVF made legal again in Alabama or whatever.
Um, because of course, like, the upcoming election is going to be decided by women, and it's going to be decided particularly by pro-choice women, and even some, you know, pro-choice Republican women, and so it's obvious why Trump would want to get ahead of all the nutcases who would otherwise be, like, You know, no, we need to stand morally firm on this matter, yada, yada, yada.
Trump is like reading politics for what they are and be like, no, people like IVF people, people like this shit.
You know, I'm going to do what's obvious and not what's obviously the sensible thing to do and not not what's necessarily the party line.
And NBC News and AP are like seemingly giving him credit for this.
Now, there could be a couple of reasons.
Um, this could be like a hate, you know, like a hate click headline.
You know, they're trying to get engagement for people saying, like, like I would say, you know, this Alabama ruling is a direct result of having Roe v. Wade repealed, in which Trump was instrumental, you know, by appointing the conservatives who did it.
Or you could say that it's like trying to, um, Make him look liberal to conservatives so that they won't vote for him or something like turn conservatives against him.
I don't know, either of that.
Trying to paint him as a hypocrite.
Yeah, either of those is just baffling, you know, why you would report on this guy like this.
But it's funny that that's the contrast, but that's how the liberal media is reporting this.
And then how Fox News is reporting this is like, Trump breaks silence on Alabama Supreme Court.
Find an immediate solution.
Yep.
Like, finding a solution, that's not... that doesn't mean his solution is going to be protecting IVF.
That just means he wants the problem solved, right?
It's a more generic... It's vague.
It's vague.
It's like less full-throated support of IVF.
So, like, does Fox News think they're doing him a favor by shielding their viewers or their readers from the fact that Trump does... you know, the readers who are just going to see the headline or whatever.
I don't know.
Very interesting, like, tender politics at play going on from both sides about this very stupid ruling that is unfortunately, you know, stupid, but obviously pretty fucking harmful and not a good sign for what's to come in a lot of these red states if we don't get a federal right to abortion anytime soon, you know?
So there were some conservatives who didn't maybe get the memo that they were supposed to be in favor of IVF ruling, or like they had already praised the ruling before Trump came out and said, you know, the leader of their party was like, we love IVF.
Every sensible person loves IVF.
And like half the weird, like half of his weird supporters on Twitter are like, what?
No, we don't.
Yeah.
You know, we don't.
Yeah.
But yeah, Allie Beth Stuckey was one of the, you know, pundits from Blaze Media who came out and said, no, this is the right ruling.
What Alabama did was correct.
She's like a Christian trad wife, mom, also a podcaster, you know, of course, for Glenn Beck's Blaze Media.
Ali Beth Stuckey says the ruling makes perfect sense.
They kind of like summed up her arguments in a podcast.
Thank God, because I wasn't going to listen to a whole hour of her.
Allie Beth Stuckey says the ruling makes perfect sense.
Quote, there hasn't been a whole lot of consideration on how life life on how the life is created.
If it's moral, if it's ethical to use in vitro for.
Is it moral to click these two tests, these two like beakers together?
Yeah, can I do that?
Is it moral to put one liquid in this thing from another thing?
We haven't really thought about these moral conundrums, you know?
Yeah.
If it's ethical to use in vitro fertilization, Stucky says.
Noting that putting embryos on ice as people who believe that life begins at conception is a little odd, she's right.
Yeah.
If you think life begins at conception and life is sacred, creating a bunch of backups for yourself that you're going to throw in the trash when you don't need them or whatever, Would, yeah, that'd be as murderous as a person getting an abortion, you know?
You gonna throw your baby in the freezer?
Your actual baby in the freezer?
I don't think so.
Frozen embryos are often left in a freezer, sometimes indefinitely, and they are also often discarded due to changed minds or divorce.
But if you're already getting the divorce, what's more sin?
You're already going to hell.
May as well throw that embryo back like a shot.
Stucky notes that there's almost a eugenics process that goes into IVF.
Quote, the scientists, the doctors can test these embryos to see if they have any kind of genetic disorder or some kind of special needs, she says, adding, then parents can make the decision based on those findings, which embryos they want to kill slash discard.
My basic take is that's no way to treat a child.
Yeah, what you should do is you should make a woman carry a Fetus for nine months to have it delivered dead Yeah, that's the moral Or to have it delivered and in an incredible pain and then dies 30 seconds later Yeah, you have to do it and again so that at that point that would that would that still be murder?
No, that's God's will, bro.
Oh, yeah.
No, I mean, but like to your point earlier, I think this actual statistic is like 50% of fertilizations don't end with a whatever, a birth, a viable pregnancy, right?
It's part of nature that fetuses aren't brought to term, you know?
Yeah, yeah.
The other thing I wanted to mention really quickly, like the only people who are going to applaud the right wing having so much control and so much free reign over reproductive rights are like the true believer, trad, fundamentalist Christians who you wouldn't want them to have any say in your fucking life at all, whatsoever.
Even a normal Christian wouldn't want these people to tell them what to do.
you know, those are the only people that are going to dislike IVF enough to take away, you know, reproductive rights at their expense.
And people like Nick Fuentes, like these, this new generation of right wing Nazi psychopaths online, like these are the freaks the right wing is appealing to these.
These are the freaks that like have the power.
And there's not much difference between like what Nick Fuentes says and what Ali Bestucki says and what people at Heritage Foundation say about birth control, about how, you know, it promotes unnatural sex or whatever, like, but listen to, listen to Nick Fuentes.
This is so fucking funny.
Okay, so this is his show and someone's paid to send him a message.
Thanks to Patriot Takes for this video.
So there's like an automated voice reading this paid message someone sent to Nick Fuentes.
It's reading it on air.
They paid 50 bucks to have this read on air.
My wife wants to know your take on IV.
My wife wants to know your take on IVF?
She was 27 when we found out it's the only way she could get pregnant.
Now I have a blue-eyed- Ah, he's shaking his head.
He's dismissing the person who paid him for this.
I'm disgusted already.
Son who stares at me and smiles.
Another in the freezer.
I've- A blue-eyed son- Now I have a blue-eyed son who stares at me and smiles.
How could you not love that, Nick?
who stares at me and smiles.
No.
Another in the freezer.
I feel like we used a bit sorcery for good.
She also wants to know if you still have those Groyper magnets she gave you at Stop the Steal.
Love you nigger. - She also wants to know if you still have the Groyper magnets she gave you at Stop the Steal.
Here's $50 for me to tell you something extremely personal about my wife, who's also, by the way, such a loser that she gave you little frog, epic frog magnets at Stop the Steal.
She's pregnant with our first child.
How do you feel about this, Nick?
Let's hear your thoughts.
I do still have those and, you know, And I appreciate the support, but no, that is a grave sin.
That's a grave sin.
You can't be willfully sinning like this.
If it's wrong, you can't do it.
What a joke.
Like, why would anyone listen to this guy?
I don't understand it.
Hold on.
The caller did call him, did say, love you nigga, right?
Yeah.
So they calling each other in a friendly way now too?
Yeah, of course, anything to make you mad, Tony.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Yeah, that's true.
That's true.
Like at the skate park, aren't they saying it friendly?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, no, actually, they're still doing it and they're still like they're usually threatening each other.
Anyway, I don't know, I enjoy seeing the right wing have to grapple with, like, it's, these are kind of some of the most popular figures on the right wing now.
You know, Donald Trump is like the exception, and obviously he's an extremely popular, he's like the popular figure on the right wing, but there are these forces, these insane, like, Beyond retrograde forces trying to, you know, do like an anti-woke-ism back to the time before you could have sex outside of marriage.
Yeah.
So people are, people are becoming aware of this.
I think with, especially with that, people who know about the Alabama ruling are like, damn, that's fucking crazy.
All right.
Yeah, we got to get going.
