Time Text
Dude, I got I got a ball necklace like for this weekend.
I found one and got it.
Oh, yeah.
And, you know, it's like it like looks sick.
It like looks sick when I layer it with this.
Like everyone, so I'm going to continue to step out with that that look on because it looks it looks crazy.
I went to Hot Topic.
I don't know if I told him I went to Hot Topic.
To find one.
And I, um, I like asked the girl who's working, I was like, hey, do you guys have like ball necklaces?
And she's like, what do you mean?
I was like, like a ball necklace.
Um, and she's like, I don't, I've never heard of that.
Wow.
And I said, before I can even, before I can even help myself, I said out loud, I was like, this is not the hot topic when I was 13.
This is not my high top, my hot topic.
Look what they're taking from us inch by inch.
We let it happen.
Yeah, we did.
We let it happen.
The Ball Necklace should have been a staple.
It should have never gone away.
We didn't speak out about when they cancelled Song of the South.
And now there's no one left to speak out when they cancelled Ball Necklaces.
Yeah.
I was kind of shocked.
Were you eventually able to communicate with her what you were talking about?
I explained it to her.
I even said, I was like, you know, like dog tags, like the little ball necklace that dog tags on, or like the pen at the bank is on?
And she's like, excuse me, of course I don't.
What's a dog tag?
What's a soldier?
What's the, what's the United States of America?
Huh?
What is that?
And she's like, yeah, yeah.
I'm like, it was those, but they were big.
And I did my finger.
I was like, they were like, they were, they were big balls though.
They were like large.
Listen, I got an ACDC song.
I could tell, explain everything.
It's just like the ACDC song.
Listen to this and get back.
Now picture that necklace in your head.
And then you were arrested for sexual harassment.
Yeah.
But then she was like, yeah, yeah, now I know what you're talking about.
No, she's like, she's like, I can imagine it, but I've never seen it.
And I'm like, you work at Hot Topic and I feel like I didn't look like.
I didn't look like on cool.
Like, I don't think.
She was trying to, like, not tell me about, you know.
She's trying to gatekeep ball necklaces from me because you're fucking lame.
Yeah.
Yeah, maybe she was.
But I did end up getting a corn shirt that I ended up buying a corn shirt and I bought I bought a corn shirt and it was buy one get one 30 percent off.
So I got myself that and I got Penny a pair more shirt.
Nice.
She was stoked.
Last time I was at Hot Topic, I think maybe I've walked into a Hot Topics incident, but last time I shopped at a Hot Topic, it was we in honor of like the first month or like, I don't know, got a decent amount of money for the first time from That Awful Sound Patreon.
So we all went out, me, Emma and Mike all went out and got a shirt from Hot Topic.
And I got a tie-dye, kind of like tie-dye, but it's like spotted bleach, basically.
Metallica.
Fucking, which St.
Anger shirt?
Oh, it's tight.
And it's like, I went out with the goal to buy the ugliest shirt I could find.
And so it's black shirt with like white splotches all over it and then it's got like an evil clock on it.
Oh, I know the shirt!
Yeah, I've had it for four years now.
But it's, I think it's a puss head drawing too.
But it's like an evil clock.
Yeah, it is.
And it's funny because it's like, it should be cool.
It's kind of, it's funny.
It's not really, it's not that bad, I guess.
It's just pretty funny.
It's, yeah, it's got the clock and it's saying Cause the lyrics are Fran-tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock.
And you know, it's like Fran-tick.
No way, I did not know that.
Yeah, it's like Fran-tick-tick-tock-tick-tock.
And so it says Fran-tick-tick-tock-tick-tock.
And then in like Joker font, it says tick-tock-tick-tock Batman, but you know, no Batman.
Uh, and then on the back, I think it's just like normal, like illustration portraits of the band members in like a four by two by two grid.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, that's kind of awesome.
That's kind of awesome.
I saw somebody wearing a Metallica st.
Anger shirt and I Told her I was like, oh, that's cool Like I know that you really like Metallica and like you really into it because like this album sucks So in order to like ride for this album, that means you really mean it.
Yeah, and she was like this album this album sucks I was like, I mean canonically like, you know, that's I It's there's there's songs on it.
Sure.
I'm not trying to.
I'm just saying, you know, that's the one that gets the most hate.
You got to listen to it.
You got to listen to the real.
I think it sucks.
I was just saying it's universally acknowledged as the sucky one.
You got to listen to like the actually universally acclaimed ones like Load and Reload.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, those ones.
Or S&M.
Have you ever listened to S&M?
It's like the classical arrangements of the Metallica.
When that came out, I remember like wanting to like, I remember thinking it was so fucking cool.
They like made a big deal about it like on MTV when that was happening.
What year is that?
They were like, get it?
It's like, I think it was, I think it was probably like 2000?
2001 maybe?
If it's like 99 or 2000, that's gonna be great.
Yeah, I think that's exactly what it was.
And like, I remember the whole, the whole joke was like, oh, S&M, like, I didn't know what exactly what that meant, but I knew that, uh, it was like, sexy.
And then, but it was also Symphony and Metallica.
