Middle East conflict reminds us to prep: We can be CUT OFF from food...

Time Text
This podcast is not about Israel and Palestine.
It's about prepping.
But there is something that we can learn from the current situation, specifically Gaza.
So again, no matter what you think about Israel or Gaza or Hamas or the Palestinians, we have all observed Gaza be shut off under a siege warfare type of approach by Israel, which cut off the water, the electricity, the food, the fuel.
And the communications from time to time, leaving the 2.3 million people in Gaza access to none of those things.
Now, as I'm recording this, it's been, what, 36 days or something?
Actually, it seems like it's more than that.
Let's call it 40 days.
It's not quite 40, but we'll call it 40.
Now, what's been fascinating to me is to see how resourceful the Palestinian people have been In getting by for 40 days now without food, water, electricity, and fuel, and not seeing the death rate be even larger than it already is.
The current number of civilian deaths or Palestinian deaths is believed to be over 13,000.
Many people died in the hospitals as the hospitals lost power.
People in the ICUs, for example.
Some people have died, of course, from the bombings.
Many have died from the bombings.
But we haven't yet seen mass starvation.
Perhaps we will, and that would be horrific.
We haven't yet seen that.
The takeaway from this and what this has to do with you and why this isn't a podcast about Israel is that I believe events are coming that will turn many American cities into Gaza.
Or a Gaza-like environment.
Whereas with Gaza, Israel cut off the food and water and electricity and telecom.
In America, based on events that are coming, i.e.
financial collapse and chaos and so on, Your cities will lose access to those same resources.
Not that it would be a deliberate siege, cutoff, but rather you would just lose access because, well, the power grid doesn't work, transportation system doesn't work, the refineries don't work, there's no fuel, there's no electricity, there's no communications, cell towers don't work, all of that.
My question to you is, where do you live currently?
Are you in a city or a suburb?
And if so, Could you make it 40 days with none of those things?
Now, the Palestinians have had an even more difficult time given that their homes were bombed and they were forced to flee, to evacuate.
So they couldn't take their preparedness items with them.
So, I mean, talk about a very, very difficult survival situation.
You know, I'm not even sure how I would do if I didn't have access to any of my preparedness items because I've put away, of course, food and ammunition and what have you, medical supplies, emergency water filters, you know, night vision optics, all these things, and perhaps you have too.
What would you do without all of those?
I mean, that would seriously be a life-threatening situation, but thank God that you have those things.
You have access to your preps, as they say.
And it's very unlikely that your house is going to get bombed into oblivion.
And so as the collapse rolls out across America, probably stemming from a financial collapse is my guess.
You know, bank bail-ins, currency failure, those kinds of things.
Well...
You will have your food supplies.
You know, you'll have your ammunition, your firearms, your self-defense, right?
You will have these supplies that the Palestinian people do not have.
And yet, most of them are still alive.
I mean, you talk about some tough survivors.
They are still alive after 40 days when many of them absolutely could have died.
I mean, many more could have died.
I dare say I don't care if I get criticized for this.
I think the average American is a lot more likely to die in 40 days without those things than the average Palestinian.
I mean, the Palestinian people have been under siege for so long, they have learned to get by with so little.
That they have become quite proficient at it.
You know, most Americans have been living in easy times.
Everything's convenient.
You can just order food to be delivered, you know.
Electricity works all the time, for the most part.
Lots of easy, easy things.
The Palestinian people have been through hell on earth for years, as have, in some ways, many of the Russian people, living under economic sanctions, for example.
Or even people in Iran or people in Cuba, for that matter.
There are a lot more resilient people in places like Cuba because of the economic sanctions that the U.S. had put on Cuba for so many years.
I believe most of those have been reversed at the moment.
But who knows when they'll be reenacted.
In any case, Russia is under economic sanctions in many other countries.
And people have learned to live with hardship.
And it's a skill.
It's something that you have to get used to.
And to experience that overnight without any real warning or training or lifestyle experience, that's very difficult for people.
So I believe a day is coming when those of us in the West who have lived in relative luxury, that would be Americans, Canadians, and so on, Australians, people of Western Europe, when the day comes that the financial system completely breaks down, These people are going to, many of them will die much sooner than 40 days.
Because they don't have the ability to get by with nothing.
They're not good at scrapping, as we say.
They're not scrappers.
I guess there's multiple meanings in that term.
But they can't get by.
And for most of them, they can't even get by even when they're not being bombed.
So take a look at Gaza right now.
Take a look at some of the pictures of what's happening in the Gaza Strip.
Many areas look like they've been nuked.
I mean, there's hardly a building left standing in some areas.
It is a concrete and rebar wasteland.
Having been bombed with such a tonnage of bombs that it actually exceeds the total tonnage equivalent of the Hiroshima bomb or the Nagasaki bomb, which I think was 15 kilotons.
There have been something like 25 to 30 kilotons of bombs dropped on Gaza.
So take a look at the photos.
Don't be bashful.
I'm not saying look at the blood and gore.
Avoid that if you can.
But look at the buildings.
Look at the infrastructure.
There's nothing left.
Could you survive that?
I mean, any of us would be hard-pressed to survive that.
But what would you absolutely need that you could put in a go-bag and actually take with you if you had to?
Even like a backpack.
You know, a water filter, some iodine, some gold and silver, I don't know, firearms and a little bit of ammo.
What would you take if you had to go and you lost everything else?
That's worth thinking about right now.
Because you and I, we are not in the situation that the Palestinians are in, thank God.
We have far more options than they do.
And yet, most Americans are not prepared.
So use this as a reminder.
Get prepared now.
Be ready to relocate on demand if needed because that day may come to you in ways that you cannot imagine and in ways that could be completely devastating.
Take my advice.
Review your preparedness plans right now and think about how you can survive without any of those infrastructure systems functioning.
