Welcome to this post-Thanksgiving edition of Bright Town Broadcast News.
Thank you for joining me.
It's Mike Adams here.
Friday, November 24th, 2023.
And you would think that with Thanksgiving just taking place, that it might be a slow news day, but it isn't.
There's a lot going on today.
And even though I'm going to try to keep this a little shorter than usual because it is the Thanksgiving...
There's still a lot going on.
And we'll start out actually with a video from Dublin.
And in Dublin, there are riots over, well, a person who is claimed to be an Algerian immigrant.
We don't know for sure that's the case, but that's what is being said at the moment.
Who apparently stabbed multiple people, including children.
It's not clear if any of those victims died, but there was a stabbing of children, and then many citizens of Dublin have, well, been very unhappy about it.
And they started rioting and setting fire to police cars and things like that.
So take a look at this video just to get a kind of a sense of what's going on with the uprising in Dublin.
Go to the next one!
I'm sorry.
All right.
So that's one thing that's happening.
Now, there's other pretty big news, which sort of indirectly involves what's happening in the Middle East.
And have you heard of this guy named Stuart Seldewitz?
Obviously a Jewish name there.
Stuart Seldewitz.
Well, he's the guy who went up to the halal food cart operator in New York, and he started saying horrific, horrible things to this person.
Like, if we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, it wasn't enough, he was saying.
And I think he said...
Yeah, this is in New York City.
I think he said to the guy...
That he's going to report him and his father to, I don't know, intelligence officials in Egypt or somewhere and they might take them and pull out his father's fingernails or something?
Look, I'm going to play the video for you.
I want you to hear this because this guy is a former national security advisor in the Obama administration.
And he was actually the number two guy at the U.S. State Department on Israel-Palestine affairs.
And he apparently has a long history of just kind of stalking people and saying horrible, horrible things with a smile, by the way, horrible things to people who are, you know, Palestinian or Arabic or Persian.
Anyway, check out this video, and I do want to tell you that this man has been arrested as of today.
He's been arrested.
But check out this video for a flavor of the kind of things that he has been saying to this halal food vendor.
And by the way, you know, halal food is quite delicious.
I don't know, why would you go up and harass a halal food vendor?
Personally, I actually love foods from the Middle East.
I love Lebanese food.
I love halal food.
And it turns out that the spices in these foods are very much anti-cancer, anti-inflammation, you know, cognitive, protecting nutrients and so on.
Seriously, Middle Eastern food is very, very medicinal food.
I mean, maybe I could do a whole broadcast on that.
If you go into a Middle Eastern food grocery store and you buy their spices and mixes and so on, guess what?
You're eating an anti-cancer diet.
Whereas if you go into, you know, an American diet, That's horrible.
Actually, the Middle Eastern food is way better for you.
But anyway, that's a tangential point to all of this.
But check out this guy.
Again, Seldowitz.
What he said to this halal food cart guy that got him arrested and charged with hate crimes, which we'll talk about in a second.
Check this out.
To my friends in immigration.
Really?
Okay, go.
And to the Egyptian, the Mukhabarat wants your picture.
Okay, go.
Yeah?
You know the Mukhabarat?
Hmm?
Mukhabarat.
No, I don't know.
You don't know?
I speak English.
No?
Yeah, go.
Mukhabarat in Egypt will get your parents.
Go, go, go.
Does your father like his fingernails?
They'll take them out one by one.
Why should I go?
Why should I go?
Tell me why I should go.
I'm standing here.
I'm an American.
It's a free country.
It's not like Egypt.
Egypt.
Did you rape your daughter like Bahamut did?
Hmm?
Did you rape your daughter like Muhammad?
I don't speak English.
You only speak English?
I don't speak English, no.
You don't speak English?
Yes.
All right.
See, that just shows how ignorant you are.
Because Muhammad was a rapist.
It says in the hadith, in your holy book.
What?
Muhammad, your prophet, you know who he is.
My prophet?
Yeah.
He was a rapist.
He raped Aisha.
Does it say that in the Hadith or not?
You know that?
I don't speak English.
What?
No English.
You don't speak English?
What do you speak?
What do you speak?
Do you speak Arabic?
The language of the Quran?
The Holy Quran?
That some people use it as a toilet?
What do you think of that, people who use the Quran as a toilet?
Does it bother you?
Does it bother you?
Tell me the truth.
I don't speak English.
You don't speak English?
That's why you're selling food in a food cart.
Because you're ignorant.
But you should learn English, and it'll help you.
Of course, yeah.
When they deport you back to Egypt, and the Muhabberat wants to interview you for being a...
So, wow, huh?
What do you think of that?
So, again, a guy, apparently a Jewish guy, Stuart Seldowitz, is here...
Basically saying to this guy, perhaps he's Egyptian, that he's going to report him to the Egyptian authorities and they're going to have him deported and have his parents taken and tortured.
So this is what Seldowitz says to a food cart guy on the streets of New York.
Now, the reason this is important is not because of this...
You know, this horrific demon creature, Stuart Seldowitz, who is now really the new face of hatred, like anti-Arabic hatred in New York City.
I mean, this is astonishing.
This guy has done more damage to the reputation of Americans and Jews than probably anybody else since October 7th.
I mean, this guy really, really...
He demonstrates the racism, the arrogance, and the smugness of U.S. diplomatic policies, State Department policies, towards countries like Lebanon or Egypt or Jordan or Syria or what have you.
I mean, this guy, just with his creepy little demon smile and...
We're going to have you deported and your parents will be tortured and here, you know, smile while I take your picture and report you to the Egyptian authorities.
I mean, this is exactly the kind of attitude that the U.S. State Department carries out routinely.
I mean, this moment, that two minutes that you just saw, is the perfect summary of U.S. foreign policy.
It's a snapshot that's perfect in terms of capturing the level of depravity, the complete loss of any moral compass, the pure evil that wreaks throughout the U.S. State Department and the foreign policy and the arrogance the pure evil that wreaks throughout the U.S. State Department and the foreign policy and the arrogance to say that, you know, I'm going But by the way, as I said, this man has been arrested now.
Now, Seldowitz has been arrested.
So let's talk about that.
So Stuart Seldowitz has been arrested, like I said, and here's the perp walk video of him being arrested, apparently out of his apartment or home in New York City, walked out of there in handcuffs, where he now faces hate crime charges.
So just want to give you a sense of this 29-second video here.
Check this out.
What do you want to say to New York's Muslim community about your remarks?
Stuart?
Stuart?
What do you want to say about to the Muslim community about your remarks, Stuart?
So now this guy, Seldowitz, he has been charged with five criminal counts, he has been charged with five criminal counts, including a hate So let's see, he faces, this is according to the Daily Mail, he faces two counts of aggravated harassment, three counts of stalking.
One of those counts of stalking is under the city's hate crimes law.
One for intent to cause fear, and one for doing so at the victim's place of employment.
So, those are the crimes, or alleged crimes, that he is being charged with.
Now, my question to you, does this man's speech cross the line?
And I know there's a debate right now among pro-liberty individuals.
Many of whom are saying that it's wrong for this man to be arrested because even though his speech was abhorrent, obviously to anyone, he, well, maybe not to anyone, but to any reasonable person, his speech is abhorrent.
But a lot of pro-liberty people are saying, well, that's his First Amendment right.
So if you agree with freedom of speech, then you have to tolerate speech that you find abhorrent.
So that's their argument.
I think there's something different about this.
And in my opinion, this man did carry out crimes.
And here's what makes it different from just regular free speech.
That this man is a former high-level official in the U.S. State Department.
He verbally threatened this man who I suppose is an Egyptian man, or certainly a Muslim, right?
So he threatens this Muslim by saying, I'm going to report you right now To the Egyptian authorities and here, let me take your picture.
He takes his picture.
He's clearly composing a text and he says, I'm going to have you deported.
I'm going to have your mother and father taken and tortured.
But what makes it different is that this man, Stuart Seldowitz, probably has those contacts to make good on that threat.
So in other words, this is not just somebody out there on the street, Someone who has no power, no contacts, just saying, I'm going to have you taken out and going to have your fingernails ripped apart.
That's not what this is.
This is a former deputy director in the U.S. State Department, the Office of Israel and Palestinian Affairs, who has no doubt contacts of high-level intelligence officials throughout the Middle East, then threatening to have this man deported.
And he and his parents tortured.
That is, in my view, because of the power that this man has, his contacts and his history, his high-level position in the government, that makes this an actionable, real threat.
This wasn't just, you know, random talking and being mad at somebody.
This was an actionable threat.
And so, in this case, although...
I would not say this if it was just some powerless, low-level person who said the exact same thing but couldn't actually make good on his threat.
But because this man, Sotowicz, can make good on it...
I think that him being charged is actually an appropriate application of the law.
He went far beyond free speech here.
You know, free speech does not give you the right to yell fire in a crowded theater, as they say.
It also does not give you the right to threaten to have someone deported and tortured when you have the power to actually make good on that threat.
So, I would say to my friends in the pro-liberty community, if you're defending this man's right to speak in this manner, you may want to reconsider.
Because unlike most people, this man actually has the power to make good on his threat of torture.
And thus, harassment, you know, intent to cause fear.
That makes sense to me.
Now, hate crime laws?
I don't.
I think they're mostly misapplied.
I think hate crime laws try to criminalize a state of mind.
And so I don't agree with hate crime laws, generally speaking.
But I'm not invoking the hate crime law here.
I'm invoking the fact that this man can actually have people deported and tortured.
So that's the issue to me.
Not a hate crime.
I disagree with the premise of hate crimes, but this is more of a threat of violence and torture against an individual.
Now, I'd like to play a couple of minutes of a summary for you here from a man named Loki.
And he apparently hosts a podcast called The Watchdog at Mint Press News.
I'm not familiar with Low Key's work, by the way.
And I'm not endorsing everything that he's ever said.
I have no idea everything that he's ever said.
But in the following video, he makes fantastic sense.
And I'm just going to play a couple of minutes of this video for you to get a flavor.
of kind of the backlash or the reaction against Seldowitz that is making the rounds online and that's also being shared by many people who are Muslims or who are Arabic in their linguistic ethnic origins or who are Persians and so on.
But check out this video.
Now we've all seen this footage of Stuart Seldowitz abusing a street vendor in New York.
If we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, you know what?
It wasn't enough.
But who is Stuart Seldowitz and what has he been a part of for all of these years?
Stuart Seldowitz, the three-time recipient of the State Department's Superior Honor Award.
He served in the State Department in their Office of Israel and Palestine Affairs as Deputy Director during the Bush years.
This racist man had a role in managing The lie of the two-state solution.
The two-state solution that was the subterfuge through which Palestinians have been continually battered by years of Israeli occupation.
The PR drive around the world.
The mirage for a future that never existed.
Stuart Seldowitz also Was a national security adviser to President Obama.
The same President Obama who led the NATO intervention of Libya, which saw the country bombed 7,000 times in a six-month period, that led to Libyans trying to escape and drowning in the Mediterranean.
His words are not just frivolous sentences coming out of the mouth of a racist.
they are actual policy.
When he speaks so easily of fingernails being removed by pro-Israel and pro-US dictators, he is not simply using poetic flair.
He means people have their fingernails removed by those who are merely satraps of the U.S. Empire.
What we heard on the streets of New York was an articulation of what has been effectively U.S. policy towards the region throughout the time that that gentleman has been employed by the U.S. State Department.
All right, there's more of that.
If you want to hear the full video from Loki, his tag or username on Twitter is Loki Online, by the way, if you're curious about that.
So, here we are.
You know, what's amazing is that since October 7th, since those events took place, we have seen a coming out of the closet of the extreme genocidal tendencies and racism and hatred Of so many people who are either with the U.S. State Department, some who are Zionists, right?
And by the way, not all Jewish people are Zionists, just to make that distinction.
Many, many Israeli supporters out there claiming they support genocide, they support ethnic cleansing, bomb them all, kill them all.
That was James Woods on Twitter saying, kill them all.
No mercy, no forgiveness.
I forgot what else he said.
But kill them all.
So, since October 7th, we have actually been treated to, number one, rather horrifying scenes that show humanity has not really progressed since World War II or World War I or Vietnam or what have you.
But also...
We have seen a coming out of the true demonic evil, I would call it, of people like Seldowitz who run around terrorizing Muslims in New York City.
I mean, verbally terrorizing them.
And that's an act of terrorism, in my view.
What he did to that food vendor is an act of terrorism.
But before October 7th, I, for one, had no idea...
That this kind of thing was going on.
It wasn't even on my radar.
And I think for a lot of the world They didn't know the level of seething hatred and genocidal discrimination that exists in the Middle East, both from the Zionists wanting to eliminate Palestinians and also, of course, many Palestinians, not all, but many Palestinians and Hamas clearly wanting to kill Israelis.
The level of hatred between these two groups is so far off the charts, That it's psychologically shocking.
And then the level of hatred that has been transformed into policy by Netanyahu and the IDF and the U.S. State Department.
The hatred that's been transformed into bombs.
Thousands upon thousands of bombs.
Now over 25,000 kilotons of bombs have been dropped on Gaza.
populated areas in the world with 2.3 million people.
The fact that this has happened is, this is concerning to me on so many levels.
It's alarming.
It's not just the events that are happening there.
The women and children that are being bombed because their hospital was targeted by Israel, you know, and Israel says, well, there's tunnels under the hospital.
We We have to bomb the hospital.
And then you come to find out that Israel built those tunnels 40 to 50 years ago.
So, of course, they knew there were tunnels there because Israel built them.
But it's not just that one level.
It's also at the level of, whoa, humanity has not moved forward at all.
Humanity has not learned the lessons of the Holocaust, nor the lessons of World War I, Or any of these other wars or themes of atrocities or democide or military campaigns against innocent people.
Humanity hasn't learned anything.
How can it be that here today we have a nation, Israel, that is led by, in my opinion, a genocidal Zionist lunatic, Netanyahu, who is actually supported by a lot of other people, and supported by the U.S. State Department, and supported by people like Seldowitz, and quite a few Jews in America, not all, but quite a few also support this.
How can this be?
How can we have gone through so many years chronologically and have not matured as a human species?
That's what's more disturbing to me.
And, you know, freedom is under such an assault in our world.
And I'm not just talking about freedom for, let's say, the Palestinian people, which Susan Sarandon recently spoke in favor of their freedom, and she was fired by her Hollywood Talent Agency.
I mentioned that a couple days ago.
I'm not just talking about freedom for one group or another.
I'm talking about The basic pillars of freedom that will affect all of us.
There are so many efforts to take away our freedom.
And there are so many government tyrants.
That are trying to destroy us.
Like Seldowitz, who you just saw.
I mean, you know, former government official.
But a modern-day government official that is a tyrant and a demon, in my opinion, is New York Governor Kathy Hochul.
So there's a story out of Infowars by Jamie White.
It says, Governor Kathy Hochul's power to enforce quarantine camps has just been reinstated by a New York appeals court.
So, this is astonishing to a great many people.
Democrat leaders can now pick and choose which New Yorkers they can lock up or lock down without any proof that you're sick, without any proof you've been exposed to a communicable disease.
And that's a quote from the plaintiff's attorney.
Who hopefully will get on for an interview here pretty soon.
But the New York Supreme Court had initially ruled in July that quarantine camps and the indefinite detention rule was unconstitutional.
But now the New York Supreme Court has reinstated that.
So let me be clear.
Let me be clear.
The state of New York can now come to your home Kidnap you at gunpoint.
Take you out of your home.
Put you into a concentration camp.
Hold you indefinitely, without any due process or any rule of law, without legal representation of any kind.
And they can do this by simply claiming that you might have been exposed to a disease that doesn't even exist.
Seriously.
They can just make it all up.
They can say, we think there's, you know, some version of COVID, like COVID. Slovid or something.
It's Slovid.
It's a very dangerous pathogen because it moves so slow.
We call it Slovid.
It might have made it to your neighborhood.
We have to take you out of your home and throw you in a concentration camp.
The New York Supreme Court says, yeah, that's perfectly fine.
Exactly.
So the fourth department of the New York Supreme Court's appellate division on Friday overturned the lower court's decision.
Essentially reinstating the concentration camp rule.
So, you know what Israel has done to Gaza, Gaza Strip, over the years?
Turn Gaza into a concentration camp surrounded by barbed wire and walls and, you know, it's a, well, sometimes it's described as a prison camp or a police state.
Well, they're going to do that in New York.
So, Bobbi Ann Cox, who is the attorney that represented the petitioners, she says, quote, there's no time limit so they could lock you up or lock you down for days or weeks or months.
There's no location restriction.
They can put you in any facility they want.
And then once you are locked up or locked down, there's no procedure in this regulation that says how you get out of quarantine once you're in there.
Incredible, right?
So the bottom line is now we have the courts in the state of New York confirming the power of the New York government to arrest anyone at any time, throw you in a concentration camp for essentially any reason that they invent.
Because you notice that with COVID, during the COVID pandemic, they never needed to prove that COVID existed.
You notice that?
Yeah.
It was just, oh, it's assumed to exist because the media is scaring everybody about it.
And oh, people are dying in the hospitals.
Turns out later that was from the ventilators.
And you do realize that the entire New York City, quote, pandemic could have easily been brought about by dispersing a nerve agent or a chemical weapon or a one-time bioweapon dispersed through the subway system or the transportation system or just the streets of the city.
It didn't have to be an infectious disease.
And some people believe it was never an infectious disease.
Some people believe it was a chemical weapons attack in order to fake a pandemic and send people to the hospital in order to have the press put out, you know, the red alert alarm.
Oh my gosh, there's a pandemic.
We're all going to be infected.
We all have to line up and take the vaccine.
Well, so even if a pandemic isn't real, and you notice they've never isolated the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The virus from anyone who has ever been shown to be, quote, infected with COVID. They've never isolated the virus and shown that it can infect someone else.
It's never been done.
And many people believe the whole explanation is bogus.
But it doesn't matter if they want to throw you in a concentration camp.
They now have the power to do so for any reason they want.
So understand that if you are living in the state of New York, you are now You're only allowed to stay in your home because the state hasn't yet decided to remove you at gunpoint and to take you to a concentration camp.
But they can do so at any time, and that's now the law of the land in New York.
And if you're living in New York, you might want to think about leaving.
Seriously.
Because you no longer have any freedom.
You have no constitutional rights whatsoever in the state of New York because they can come take you away at any time and throw you in a facility against your will indefinitely without any due process.
And they can do so even just by making up, oh, there's another pandemic.
And it's like, no wonder they want to take away everybody's guns in New York, right?
Because you've probably seen the meme.
It goes something like this.
I'm paraphrasing, but...
The reason the gun controllers want to take away your guns is because they plan to do something to the people that might get them shot or something like that.
Have you heard that meme?
I've seen that.
You probably have seen it too.
Yeah, they plan to...
To come take you away and murder you and they don't want anybody fighting back, obviously.
I mean, you know, it's so much easier for the government to commit genocide in New York City if no one is armed, right?
Except the government, of course, would be armed, but not the people.
And if you don't think that the New York government can declare an area of the city to be, I don't know, infested with terrorists or infested with a pandemic or whatever they want, and then just start, you know, murdering infested with terrorists or infested with a pandemic or whatever they want, and then just start, you know,
If you don't believe that can happen, you're not paying attention to world events because that's exactly what's happening in Gaza with the support of the United States government.
You know, Israel is bombing Gaza and murdering now 14,000 plus Palestinian civilians, women and children included in that number by bombing hospitals and so on because they say they have to get Hamas.
Well, what if Kathy Hochul says instead of we have to get Hamas, we have to get Hamas a caucus, which let's say that's an infectious superbug, Hamas a caucus.
You know, like E. coli or salmonella or whatever.
Let's call it Hamas anella.
How about that?
So Governor Hochul says, we've got to get Hamas anella.
And Hamas anella might be hiding in your neighborhood.
So guess what?
You're going to be removed from your homes at gunpoint and taken to a concentration camp.
You're like, what?
Never heard of Hamas anella.
She's like, oh yeah, yeah.
It's all...
We say it's real, so it's real.
Watch out for Hamas anella.
And Hamas Anele also might be in the tunnels, might be in the subway system.
We're going to have to bomb everything to get the subway.
Got to get the Hamas Anele.
You know, I mean, this is the exact narrative that Israel is using right now.
We've got to bomb everything on the surface to get the tunnels, you know?
Would Kathy Hochul bomb New York City to stay in power and to suppress the people?
Of course she would.
Every tyrant would.
There's not even a question at this point.
They would do anything.
I mean, look at the Seldowitz guy.
He grins talking about torture and pulling out your fingernails.
These people love harming and hurting human beings.
They love torture.
I mean, Kathy Hochul is a demon.
In my opinion, I think she loves to take actions that harm people and take away their liberties, and even if those actions result in their deaths.
I think that Governor Hochul and other mostly Democrat governors, I think they enjoy this.
Because, well, I think many of them are actually infested partially or wholly, or I should say fully, with demons.
Not wholly demons, but fully demons.
I think they are, which means they're not entirely – they're not on board with humanity anymore.
They've kind of lost the human side.
It's been replaced by some demonic side.
And so they – I think they'd love to see death and suffering and people being imprisoned and people being tortured or people being destroyed.
I mean why is New York City the abortion capital of the country?
Because, well, they'd love to shred babies.
I mean, they'd love to rip rip the organs and limbs off unborn babies.
Of course they do.
I mean, that's a Kathy Hochul special right there, is ripping babies apart in the womb.
You know, she's all pro-abortion.
So, don't be surprised.
If you're still in New York when they decide to carry out ethnic cleansing in New York City, or some other part of New York, maybe they're going to carry it out in upstate New York.
Maybe they're tired of the...
All the Jewish rabbis in upstate New York that are anti-vaxxers, huh?
So maybe they decide that they have to ethnically cleanse the Jewish rabbis one day, right?
I mean, be careful if you condoned violence against ethnic groups because one day they're going to come for your group.
You see?
This is why liberty is so critical for all of us as a foundational principle of our society.
You know, it makes me wonder, why can't the government arrest Kathy Hochul for hate crime threats and stalking and terrorism like they arrested Seldewitz?
I think what Kathy Hochul says to the people of New York is just as terrifying as what Seldewitz said to that halal food vendor, by the way.
Seriously.
I mean, Kathy Hochul...
I mean, she's basically making terrorism threats every day against the people of New York.
Like, if you don't do what we say, we could come take you away and throw you into basically a death camp.
That's a terroristic threat, you know?
I mean, she should resign.
She should probably be, you know, arrested and charged by the Department of Justice.
But of course, that will never happen.
All right, so moving on, by the way.
Today is supposed to be the first day of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
So let me bring up the details here.
This was announced by the Qatari government negotiators.
It's supposed to start on Friday morning, I think 7 a.m.
local time.
This is a truce, a four-day truce, and this is reported by MiddleEastI.net.
The first batch of hostages will be released at 4 p.m.
local time.
Let's see, over a period of four days, Hamas is expected to release 50 Israelis, and then 150 Palestinians that are held in Israeli prisons will be freed in exchange.
Let's see, so it's going to be 50 Israelis released over four days, and apparently Israel has said for every 10 additional Israelis that you release, there will be one more day where we don't bomb you.
So Hamas can extend the ceasefire by releasing more prisoners.
But, you know, doesn't this just encourage Hamas to take more prisoners next time because every 10 prisoners gets them another day of non-bombing?
I mean, this prisoner exchange actually proves that Hamas gained negotiating power when they took Israeli prisoners.
Which I think was their main mission on October 7th.
So this is just confirming all that.
And then I guess that at some point when there are no more prisoners to be exchanged, then Israel will just continue bombing because Netanyahu says we're going to wipe out Hamas even after the ceasefire.
And with people like Seldowitz out there, you know, in the U.S. State Department, I wouldn't be surprised if the U.S., of course, supports Israel's complete bombing and ethnic cleansing of Gaza.
I've heard it pronounced by those who speak Arabic as Gaza.
So, is that the correct pronunciation?
I always like to pronounce names in the local dialect, no matter where it is in the world.
So, if it's Gaza...
I hope I can get a confirmation on that.
I will describe it that way.
But for now, I'm saying Gaza.
And of course, I'm publicly asking, you know, why can't we, if we can have a four-day ceasefire, why can't we have a four-week ceasefire, or a four-month ceasefire, or a forever ceasefire?
How about that?
Could we maybe stop bombing each other and find a way to live in peace?
Well, not when the U.S. State Department is operating.
That's for sure.
This is the way the U.S. government has operated for decades.
It's pushing this nonsense and Israeli is, you know, of course, a beachhead in the Middle East that's sort of controlled by the U.S. But then again, Israel controls the U.S. both ways.
So I don't think we're ever going to find peace as long as the dollar is the world reserve currency, by the way.
Something to keep in mind.
Alright, so those are the big stories I wanted to be sure to cover with you today.
I've got one question to ask you, though.
And you can send your suggestions to me on this if you have an answer to this question.
I'll give you an email here in a second.
But I am wanting to learn to read Braille.
I want to read using tactile sensations alone.
And the reason I want to do this is because after I nearly severed my finger, It's my right index finger.
And then I use lion's mane mushroom, which supports nerve regrowth.
And I use a lot of other things I talked about before to grow back the severed nerves and ligaments and blood vessels and skin and flesh and everything.
And I ended up with a right index finger that has extremely high sensitivity.
That is, I can sense things now with, I'm guessing, double the sensitivity as before, including textures.
And it made me realize that I could actually learn to read Braille with this finger, the finger where the nerves regrew, and they regrew at much more sensitive nerves.
And so I was online, I was trying to find a book or step-by-step guide of how to learn to read Braille The actual raised Braille.
And so I want a book that teaches me how to read from like kindergarten level in Braille.
Like here's the alphabet.
And I want it to be like side by side.
Here's the printed words that I can see because of course my eyes function.
I am a sighted person as they say.
I'm not visually blind, right?
So I want that alongside with the raised braille dots so I can actually like read it with my finger with my eyes closed and then open my eyes and see what I just read and then I can learn that way.
I have been unable to find a book like this.
There are books of how to learn Braille for sighted people, but they don't have the raised dots.
They just have the dots in a configuration that you look at.
It's just printed dots.
I don't want printed dots.
I want raised dots.
I want to read Braille the same way that visually impaired people read Braille.
In other words, just by feeling it.
I want to close my eyes and read in Braille.
And I know it's not a simple thing.
I'm not claiming I'm going to learn this in a week.
No.
And I know there are all kinds of, you know, contractions and different shortcuts and so on.
It's a complex thing to learn to read Braille.
But I'm hoping that some of you listening to this, perhaps you are someone who can read Braille or you know what kind of guide I could use to learn to read in Braille.
And I would appreciate you letting me know about that.
You can reach me at the following email, situationupdateatprotonmail.com.
That's P-R-O-T-O-N, protonmail.com.
So again, I'm looking for a suggestion of how I, as a sighted person, can learn to read Braille.
I just want to find guides that I can buy that have the actual raised Braille that I can feel with my finger.
Okay?
That's what I'm looking for.
And you might ask, why?
Why are you wanting to learn to read Braille?
Because that's another way to take in information.
You know?
And when I was younger, actually...
I had a brief interaction with a person who was blind.
Is it appropriate to use that term?
Visually impaired?
Anyway, visually blind.
And I saw him read Braille.
And I was so impressed by it, I still remember to this day, he was cruising, just sweeping his finger from left to right.
Zip, zip, zip.
He was reading Braille.
Without any obviously visual capabilities, he was reading Braille faster than most sighted readers can read printed text.
And I was really impressed by that.
And it makes me realize that I think that the more ways that you were able to take in information, It's going to stimulate your brain.
It's a great brain exercise.
And the other thing that I learned is from injuring my finger, again almost cutting it off, It gave me a little bit of a hint of what disabled people have to go through each day.
If they've lost a hand or an arm or a leg or what have you.
I lost the use of just an index finger for, I don't know, eight weeks or whatever it was.
And it was very difficult.
And it made me really feel for people who are disabled.
And now that I have the functioning of that finger back...
It's not 100%, but it's close to 100%.
I don't want to take it for granted, and I really do feel for people who have disabilities.
And I want to learn to try to experience the world in the way that they experience it so that I can share that perspective a little bit more.
And I think, frankly, I think that learning to read Braille is one way to do that.
I think it's important to be able to...
I almost want to say to see the world through their eyes, but of course that's the wrong metaphor in this case.
I apologize.
I want to experience the world the way they might experience the world.
And I've already told you I have very acute hearing.
And I can very easily...
I've always been able to do this.
I can hear if I'm walking...
Through a house or something, I can hear when walls are very close to me versus far away.
If I were to close my eyes and walk down a hallway, I could hear where there's an open doorway, for example, versus just walls on both sides, right?
And there are actually people who are visually impaired who use echolocation.
This is actually documented.
There are people who can walk around and they make a clicking sound.
They go like...
And by listening to the quality of the echo of that sound, they know whether there are objects near them or which side they're on.
And I have that skill.
I don't know if it's because of my audio training, music or whatever, but I have always been able to hear objects around me.
I know that I could learn to walk without sight.
It wouldn't be easy, but with a cane, I could learn to do it, and I could learn to read Braille.
So I want to learn to read Braille and experience the world through other senses other than just sight.
So anyway, okay, I might be, you might think I'm weird for wanting to do that, but I don't care.
I'm curious about the way our minds work, and I think that the more ways that we can take in information, the better.
And frankly, a tactile sensation that is a very high bandwidth data input system, by the way, tactile sensations.
People who are good at it can read faster than sighted people.
All right, so that's the podcast for today.
