- Welcome everyone to Bright Down Conversations.
I'm Mike Adams, the founder of brighttown.com, the alternative to YouTube.
Where we support free speech.
And today our guest is a champion of free speech.
She's one of the most courageous Americans living today and fighting for your right to speak, no matter what your views.
And her name is Laura Loomer.
She's running for Congress.
Her website is lauraloomerforcongress.com.
And she's also got a news website called loomered.com that we now index at censored.com as well.
She joins us today to talk about censorship and the future of our country.
Laura, thank you for joining me.
It's an honor to speak with you today.
Thanks so much for having me.
It's great to have you on, Laura.
I think most of our readers are familiar with some of your work, but in case they're not, could you give us a little bit of background of what you do and why you're running for Congress right now?
Just a little bit about you.
Yeah, so I began as an investigative journalist, and when I finished college in Miami, I began working full-time with Project Veritas.
I started working with Project Veritas doing undercover work while I was still in college.
as a senior president of college Republicans at Barry university.
And I ended up doing an expose on my university and one month prior to graduation, uh, the university expelled me, accusing me of creating a hostile environment, uh, for making a video where, you know, I exposed the fact that they would have allowed, uh, for an ISIS club, uh, to, you know, exist for an ISIS club, uh, to, you know, exist on campus while they discriminated against college Republicans.
And so after that, I began working full-time with project Veritas and I was undercover in the Hillary Clinton campaign throughout 2015 and, uh, 2016 exposing voter fraud and corruption.
And I stayed with project Veritas for about three years, uh, and did a lot of different investigations with them.
Uh, investigations that impacted the 2016 presidential race and, uh, shed a lot of light on issues like voter fraud.
And then I left project Veritas because I wanted to start my own media company and I wanted to, uh, you know, be my own personality and, you know, do investigative journalism that wasn't undercover.
And so I, uh, created my media company called Illuminate Media and I have a site, it's lumered.com and, uh, quickly generated a massive online following of millions of people, uh, for my lumered videos and my investigations.
which became very viral and very popular.
In which I would, uh, show up to book signings or events where, uh, some of the most high profile Democrat politicians in our nation would be attending people like Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and I would confront them on live stream for everybody to watch.
And so, you know, you never knew, you could never know what was going to go down because it was all on live stream.
And so it was very exciting for people to watch and, you know, was very successful in exposing a lot of these people and calling them out for their hypocrisy and their double standards.
And some of the videos I made, I put illegal aliens on Nancy Pelosi's lawn.
That was a popular one that people may remember.
Hopped over Gavin Newsom's lawn at the governor's mansion to prove the absurdity of, you know, the Democrats being against walls when they themselves, of course, lived behind walls with armed security guards.
And as a result of my effectiveness and My investigative journalism, particularly my investigative report into Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, prior to them becoming actual members of Congress.
The Democrats decided to partner with Big Tech, and I was deplatformed and banned everywhere.
And I would say that I was patient zero, the female patient zero.
Alex Jones was probably the male patient zero, and Big Tech's It's a grand experiment to see how far they could take their censorship and the violation of civil rights of conservative content creators.
And so I am now the most censored person in this country.
Literally banned on every single social media site.
I've been debanked.
I've been deplatformed.
And it's just because...
I speak the truth, and it's something that you yourself also have become familiar with, being banned and shut down everywhere for reporting facts, right?
Reporting facts.
Yes.
Well, not only have they banned my channels, of course, and many of my channels were banned before Alex Jones, but they banned other people from even sharing any link from any of my websites, including...
This site, Brighteon.
So you can't even mention brighteon.com in a private message to your friend on Facebook.
How's that for being bad?
Well, I can totally relate because right now I'm running for Congress and they do the same thing to me.
And you're not even, you know, if you post Laura Loomer or you post articles from my site, oftentimes they suspend you.
And if you recall back when they permanently banned me from Facebook on May 2nd of 2019, they labeled me a dangerous individual.
And they labeled several high-profile conservatives.
They were all conservatives, right?
So let's just get that straight.
They labeled us as dangerous individuals, and under their classification of a dangerous individual, it was a serial killer, a human trafficker, or a terrorist.
And obviously, I'm neither of those things.
But they were able to, you know, successfully broadcast and defame me and accuse me of being a terrorist and a dangerous individual.
But meanwhile, actual terrorist organizations, the KKK, pedophile groups, all types of violent groups like Antifa are able to have access.
So it's clear that the bias is against conservatives.
And then they took it a step further as well.
So, you know, people say oftentimes, and I'm sure you get this as well, oh, it's not that big of a deal.
It's just social media.
Get over it.
But they don't understand how far they're taking this.
These big tech social media companies are the tech tyrants or the techno fascists, as I like to call them.
What they're doing is they're establishing their own sort of Chinese social credit score system here in the United States, which is what they've been helping China do for, you know, the last several years.
And, you know, if you don't believe me, well, you can just look at what Facebook did after they labeled me and several others dangerous individuals.
They updated their terms of service the day that I had filed a defamation lawsuit against them to say that it was okay for people to post death threats against me and to incite high-severity violence against my life.
And so when we say that these radical leftists in big tech want you dead, it's not a conspiracy theory, right?
It may sound a little out there for people, but when a company, one of the largest tech companies in the world, you know, a multi-billion dollar company targets a private citizen, Who doesn't have any major financial backing, per se, right?
With incitements of violence against their life simply for challenging them, that's a problem.
And that should not be happening here in America.
Well, you covered so many really crucial, very important points here, but let me revisit a couple of them.
So one is that the tech giants are run by these radical leftists who see any dissenting view as a form of hate.
And then they say hate is violence.
So they say that your speech is violence and it gives them internally their own justification to call for you to be murdered.
But then when they call for violence, they say that isn't violence.
That's just defending against your violence.
But you're not violent.
You're not calling for anybody to be the same.
I'm not dangerous.
Maybe my truth is dangerous to their leftist agenda, but that's what they do, right?
That's what they do is they try to brand you and defame you, and then most people, you know, they question it because most people, average people who maybe aren't very politically involved or people who really don't watch the news or people who, you know, don't live and breathe in the world of social media like you and I do – They're like, oh, well, if Facebook is saying she's dangerous and a company is going to take that hardline position, well, it must be true, right?
So just like when they ban your content as well and they say, oh, well, this is fake news, right?
Or this is harmful or this is whatever excuse they give you.
I'm sure you've been given every excuse in the book as to why you're going to ban fake speech, you know.
We want people knowing the facts, and so then it leads to defamation, and then when you look up your name, it says, oh, Mike Adams, he's a far-right conspiracy theorist, and, you know, I don't really see how you're hurting people.
No, no, right.
I'm mostly focused on trying to help people be healthy and awake.
But when they censor you, they allow all of your enemies who are lying about you to get the top position.
So if someone searches your name, all they see is horrible, horrible things about you or me.
And that's part of the the depersoning, which is an attack on your ability to be human.
And so these very same leftists who are saying that, oh, that black people are dehumanized by police, for example, they will dehumanize their political enemies using far more racism or bigotry or anti-Semitism, perhaps, or whatever they want to do to denigrate you while they claim to be tolerant or whatever they want to do to denigrate you while they claim to be
And, you know, we're having this whole discussion right now about injustice in our country, but I find it to be incredibly unjust how an entire population of conservatives, okay, nearly half the country or more, is being discriminated against and treated like they are subhuman because...
Well, they're conservative.
And the leftists who control the media organizations and they control big tech and all of the ways that information is distributed, they have launched a demonization campaign against conservatives.
And so I find that to be not only an egregious civil rights violation, but also a clear-cut example of injustice that nobody seems to want to talk about, right?
Right.
Apparently the Democrats don't really care about black lives or justice for black people because you have, you know, old white Democrat males like Joe Biden who are quick to tell a black man or a black woman, you know, that they aren't black and their skin color isn't black if they have any conservative values or they vote for President Trump.
That's right.
And there's one thing that you and I have in common, by the way, we both called for the arrest and prosecution of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
And I believe that's one of the platforms on which you are running for Congress, correct, to arrest Jack Dorsey?
I filed to run for Congress in August of 2019, and I was largely inspired to run for Congress as a result of the deplatforming that I was subjected to, and also just the witnessing the censorship and the deplatforming of other people.
Because it began with me, right?
And it began with people like you and, you know, everybody else, like Alex Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos, Gavin McGinnis, Tommy Robinson, Faith Goldie, right?
Like, we can go down the list of the people who it began to, and everybody said, well, they're conspiracy theorists, right?
They're radicals, they're extremists, they're white supremacists, right?
They're racist, whatever you want to say.
But eventually, right, uh...
You know, they start with the people who nobody or they think nobody wants to defend until they start coming from the everyday average man.
And now they're coming for people like the president of the United States in an election year, right?
They're censoring the president.
And so I decided that...
The bedrock of our constitutional republic really is free speech.
And if you're not able to freely express yourself, and if we don't have First Amendment protections, and if people are silenced for simply having conservative viewpoints, it doesn't matter what any of the other...
You know, political viewpoints may be.
It doesn't matter what you may think about another subject.
It doesn't matter what you may think about an election because if you're silenced and shut down and banned from speaking about, you know, what you want to speak about, no one's going to hear you, right?
Nobody's going to listen to your opinions on the issues that matter most to you in an election year.
And it starts to threaten our election integrity because, as I warned about two years ago when I confronted Jack Dorsey during the congressional hearing, this is a form of election interference.
And I stood up in that hearing, and I called Jack Dorsey out while he was committing perjury, and I said, you're a liar.
You know, you're a liar.
And you're working with the Democrats to silence and censor conservatives to try to help the Democrats steal the election.
And so I decided to run for Congress because I don't want people to be silenced.
I don't want people to have their civil rights violated.
It doesn't matter if you're a Republican, whether you're a Democrat, whether you're an Independent, or whether you just don't give a damn at all about politics.
Nobody in this country who is a law abiding citizen should be censored or silenced or deplatformed or have their livelihood destroyed simply because of their peaceful political speech, right?
Correct.
And I don't want the loudest and most popular voices in Congress to be those of radical leftist women like AOC and Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, who are literally following in the footsteps of Nancy Pelosi and shredding our Constitution like she shred the State of the Union speech, shredding everything that makes us American.
And now, since that time that you first confronted Jack Dorsey, over the last few months, we've seen now many, many cases emerging evidence that Twitter, Google, Facebook and others are complicit with Communist China, literally working on behalf of Communist China to overthrow the United States of America, to roll out a surveillance police state tech system, basically an Orwellian nightmare and so on.
So it's gotten even worse than it was when you confronted him.
What do you think should be the charges or the punishment against people like Jack Dorsey for the crimes they've committed?
Well, first of all, look, we're constantly told by people like Nancy Pelosi that nobody's above the law, right?
Well, there seems to be two sets of rules in this country for whether you're a Republican or a Democrat.
You know, if you or I were to lie to Congress, we'd go to prison.
We'd probably end up dying in prison, right?
But people like Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pakai, Sheryl Sandberg, they get to go in front of Congress and testify and lie.
They lie when they're asked if they're using suppressive algorithms to censor conservatives.
They lie when they're asked if they're censoring conservative speech.
They lied to Congress.
They committed perjury when they were asked if they're shadow banning people.
And what has happened to them?
What has happened to them?
We've watched the lives of people like Roger Stone and Michael Flynn be destroyed.
They've been paraded around as trophy pieces of the Democrat Party.
And we've been told that they somehow lied, right?
They've been accused of lying, and we're told that they should have to spend time or spend the rest of their lives in prison for lying to Congress or lying to the FBI. Well, where is the same set of rules, right?
Where is the same standard being applied to these tech executives?
And they are now Not only interfering in our election and lying to Congress and committing perjury, which is punishable by prison time, but they are also committing treason.
So I think that they ought to be charged with treason for siding with the Chinese communists and siding with Islamic dictatorships, okay, forcing their users to have to comply with the Sharia standards.
I'm sure you've seen users get notices from Islamic nations on Twitter while living here in America saying that they have to lawyer up because their tweet is in violation of Islamic law.
I mean, we live in America here, right?
They are working with the Chinese Communist Party for their manufacturing, and they are utilizing the slave labor of Muslim Uyghurs who are put in Chinese Communist concentration camps.
Okay, those are human rights violations.
So it's not like these are trumped-up charges against big tech.
They really have committed crimes.
They are committed to human rights violations, and I do believe that they also should be charged with aiding and abetting terrorist organizations We're good to go.
Communication for Antifa, which we see Jack Dorsey is doing.
He's retweeting their videos, telling them that they need to communicate on signal to not get caught by the feds.
That is called aiding and abetting terrorists.
Yeah, Jack Dorsey is, in fact, aiding and abetting terrorist organizations in America now.
There's no question about it.
And by the way, Robert Mueller, during the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax, charged, I think, 17 or 18 Russian companies With defrauding the United States of America by interfering with US elections for just running some ads or something.
Well, gosh, I mean, Facebook and Twitter and Google and YouTube have been interfering at a billion times, you know, worse capacity in US elections.
So where are the charges for those companies for defrauding the United States of America?
I mean, what they're doing is far worse.
Right.
Well, yeah, look, they need to be held accountable.
And I also find it to be egregious that these companies like Amazon as well, these companies don't have to pay taxes.
So these multi-billion dollar companies are getting away with not paying any taxes, okay?
And yet they're selling out our country to our enemies.
They're selling us out to China.
I think that if they're going to be If they continue to be treasonous and if they're going to be traitors to their country and they're going to aid and abet terrorist organizations that are actively planning and participating in an insurrection against the president,
if they're going to aid in the coup of a sitting president, if they are going to enforce communist China's policies and If the lawmakers are not going to,
you know, make them held accountable and make sure that these people are arrested and charged for aiding and abetting terrorist organizations, then these companies need to have their tax structure significantly changed so that they are heavily fined and taxed.
Because there is no reason why, you know, everyday American citizens like you and I Should be paying taxes when these traders and big tech, which now make up, you know, a fifth of our economy as of this year, should be getting away with what they're doing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Tax evasion, essentially.
And we're all footing the bill while.
That's what they make up now, you know, 2.2 trillion dollars, I believe, you know, I mean, it's absurd.
And so our economy now is largely dependent on the success of these big tech social media companies.
And if you look at the coronavirus as an example, right, the only stocks that really saw a significant increase during this pandemic as American business owners were, you know, having their profits slashed and their businesses destroyed and And while nearly, what, 40 million Americans filed for unemployment and are now jobless, the only people who got richer during this pandemic were the big tech executives.
Within the first two months of COVID, I saw a report that said that Jeff Bezos became $23 billion richer.
That's right.
Yep.
And the vaccine companies that are pushing fraud, too, just to try to pump up their stock prices and claim research results that aren't even real.
That's a whole other story.
While they help our enemies, and then while they also create evasive and totalitarian contact tracing apps and software, which they are secretly putting on people's cell phones, and a lot of people have automatic updates, I I have an iPhone.
I'm sure a lot of people have an iPhone, right?
And I usually have automatic updates on my phone, right?
I saw the other day that there was an update and if I wouldn't have turned it off, it would have put this contact tracing software on my phone for COVID. And I don't know what kind of phone you have, but you can go into your software on your phone and you can check it out yourself and see that Apple now, if you have the auto update, they're installing contact tracing software for COVID on your phone.
Right, right.
Apple are doing the same thing.
I mean, this is a total violation of people's constitutional rights.
It's an invasion of privacy.
Well, it brings up the question, the backlash against all of this.
Surely there is some level of rising awareness about all of this.
I think COVID-19 has in many ways awakened people to the fraud of the CDC, the WHO, the FDA, you know, lots of things like that.
But are people waking up fast enough to stop this?
Or are we doomed to be People are enslaved under an Orwellian techno-fascist nightmare.
People already are enslaved.
That's the problem, right?
And I wrote an op-ed about this a couple weeks ago urging people.
It was titled, Quit Your Big Tech Addiction Before Big Tech Quits You.
And the problem is, is a lot of people, including conservatives, are now addicted.
They are addicted to social media.
You know, I was addicted to social media.
I'll admit it.
You know, people are addicted to the feeling that it gives them.
You know, you get this rush of dopamine and, you know, you just feel so excited when you get a viral tweet.
And when you have thousands or millions of people resharing and reposting, retweeting your content and liking it when people are talking about you.
And they are so addicted to that feeling of being popular and they are so addicted to the feeling of being seen and liked that they are willing to have their rights violated just to have access to that.
You know, there should really be a mass exodus from these social media sites over to other sites and alternatives like yours and Parler and Gab, which I'm on.
And it would kill these companies.
It would be the kill shot.
President Trump, he should get off of Twitter and Facebook and he should get onto Parler and Gab.
Because every single time you post, and not you and I, because we're banned, of course, but whoever's listening, any single time you continue to post on Facebook or Twitter or any of these sites like Instagram, you are only making them richer.
You are making them richer so that they can continue to funnel money into leftist organizations to further squelch the speech of conservatives.
There are other alternatives.
I'm tired of hearing people say that there are no good alternatives.
There are alternatives.
You just take the first step.
The first step to admitting you have a problem is admitting you have a problem and then taking an action to address it.
