You know, if you don't believe in liberty, please don't move to Texas.
But I gotta say, on behalf of Texans, the people in Texas are just the greatest people in the world as far as I'm concerned.
I... I just can't say enough about the amazing individuals in Texas.
And that's why I'm proud to call myself a Texan.
And I've been in Texas for, you know, quite a few years now.
And my dad was actually from Texas.
Even though I didn't grow up in Texas, you know, I got back to Texas.
I just got to say, the people in Texas are courteous.
They're friendly.
They are capable.
This is what I really admire about Texans is you can go to, well, actually, I'm going to contrast California versus New York here.
But California, in my view, and this is really the very west coastline of California, you know, the liberal cities of California, seem to me, and maybe this is just my perception, but they seem to me to be full of people who are not very capable.
College students who don't know how to change a tire on a car, for example, or maybe don't even know how to do laundry for that matter, you know, that kind of thing.
Now, I know that rural California people are very capable, and we have a lot of readers and fans in rural California, especially northern California, like the Mount Shasta area and so on.
Those people are very capable, hands-on, you know, rugged individuals, that kind of thing.
So I admire those people, but the left coast people, But generally speaking, seem to be not that capable in my point of view, because I see people every day in Texas who are very, very capable.
And I mean capable of running a business, doing technology, but also running cattle, repairing a tractor, using a firearm.
You know, hunting if they have to, or fishing, or a lot of hands-on skills.
Everything from outdoor wilderness skills to modern business and technology skills.
And it's just that Texas spirit that is truly amazing to me.
I want to mention New York for a second, because there's something I really admire about New Yorkers.
And, you know, Jersey people and New York people, they have a toughness that I admire.
They have a mental fortitude that I really love to see in people.
And it's because life can be very tough or competitive in a place like New York or a big city.
But you know what I think?
I think New York creates more toughness and more mental fortitude in people because it has more harsh weather.
I think it's the extreme cold and the winter and the snow and the icy rain.
That actually makes you a tougher person mentally and to some degree physically because you have to deal with it.
Whereas California, in certain places like the coast, the coastal cities, Life is too easy.
It's too convenient.
And it breeds a kind of acquiescence or a lack of preparedness, a lack of planning, a lack of forethought.
And that's why places like LA are lands of delusion and fake promises, where everybody has a...
Everybody has a movie script, and everybody's talking about how they're going to be the next great Tom Cruise, or they're going to be the next great director, whatever.
And you know it's all BS. You go to LA, it's like the land of BS. Total fake, everything's fabricated.
At least this is my perception of it, okay?
But a lot of people who live in California agree with me on that point about LA. Everybody wants to be in movies, and everything's fake.
And people's personalities are fake, and who they claim to like.
You know, they throw these social parties just to climb the social ladder, but they really hate everybody.
And there's all this hatred underneath, but all this gushing loveliness on the surface, but it's all fake.
Whereas when you go to New York or New Jersey...
These people, they don't fake it.
If they don't like you, they just tell you, hey, get out of my face, right?
That's a New York thing, which I actually appreciate.
I like to be able to speak frankly with people.
That's why I get along really well with New Yorkers, believe it or not.
I get along great with New Yorkers because they're just to the point.
They're not wasting time.
They're not trying to beat around the bush.
They're not trying to impress you with a bunch of fluff.
New Yorkers just get to the point.
Or they say, you know, stop wasting my time.
And I would say, interestingly, through my life, because I grew up in the Midwest and grew up to be a very, very polite person, you know, always treat people with respect, always open doors for women, you know, pick up something.
If a little old lady drops something on the ground, you know, you pick it up.
You're courteous to people.
But the older I've gotten, the more I've become like a New Yorker, which is stop wasting my time unless you have something useful to say.
I've become more curt.
In other words, I don't know if it's just a result of...
I'm just running a business or seeing the way the world really works, but I don't go out of my way to be extra polite unless somebody deserves it.
That's my point today.
I get down to business.
I respect you if you deserve my respect, if you're a U.S. veteran.
You deserve my respect and I respect you.
If you are someone who tells the truth, if you are someone who runs a non-profit that's doing actual good work for humanity, if you are someone who is honest, maybe you're a company creating an honest nutritional product, I admire you and I respect you.
And I've named many of those companies, by the way, help promote a lot of companies that I believe in.
But if you are deceptive or lying or stupid or wasting my time, then I really don't have any patience for that kind of thing.
So more and more, I'm kind of like a New Yorker in that way, which is funny because I'm really a Texan at heart.
See, I'm really sharing my views on culture with you in America.
And the truth is, there are things to love about Californians, too.
Californians, the West Coast people, they know how to have a good time, right?
They know how to relax.
They don't typically live a super high-stress lifestyle.
They have fun, and there's something to be said for fun.
But, if I had my choice, I like a combination of the Texas rugged individualism combined with the New York attitude of getting things done and not wasting time.
That's me today, in 2017.
I'm like a combination of Texas and New York culture.
So I love the firearms in Texas.
You know, I'm a Second Amendment advocate.
I train on firearms.
I'm very capable of self-defense and so on.
But I love the New York attitude of let's get stuff done.
And let's not put up with BS from people who are running around, you know, full of BS. So ultimately, ultimately, getting back to Texas.
I've got to say, if this resonates with you in any way, if you believe in liberty, if you believe in getting things done, if you believe in high-performance living, then come to Texas.
If you support the Constitution, you support the Second Amendment, you support individual freedom, come to Texas.
We welcome you in Texas.
All of you who have that...
Culture and those ideals and those principles, we welcome you to Texas.
If you don't believe in liberty, if you don't believe in limited government, if you don't believe that every individual has a right to bear arms, then stay the hell away from Texas.
We don't want you here.
We absolutely don't want you in Texas if you are not a real American.
It's simply put.
Now, maybe Governor Abbott would never say it that way.
He has to be a little more polite.
And, you know, he's the governor.
He can't speak this bluntly, not in public.
Maybe he does behind the scenes.
I don't know.
But my point is, if Governor Abbott, I think, could say what he actually feels, he might say something a lot closer to what I just said, which is, if you don't believe in Texas values, don't come to Texas.
Simple as that.
So we have a lot of people moving to Austin, Texas these days, and the scourge of these left coast snowflakes and crime bullies moving to Austin and trying to turn it into another mini California, which of course is a total shipwreck of bad politics and bad ideas, which is why California is going bankrupt.
But they leave California because they're so sick of all the high taxes and all the BS and all the bureaucracy, which of course was created by them because they voted for California politics, you know, Democrats running things into the ground.
So then they move to Texas.
And they move to Austin, and there's even a little surfing place that you can go to in Austin.
It's obviously not on the ocean, because Austin is not a coastal city.
But there's an actual surf park with an artificial wave generator that's massive.
It's like, I don't know, it's like 100 acres of surfing or something.
So these Californians come out to Austin, and they go surfing!
In Austin.
And then, the surf place is right by the airport, by the way, if you ever want to visit it.
It's really a surf park.
I'm not even joking.
They come out and then they go surfing.
And then what do they do when they get to Austin?
They vote for Democrats again, who raise all their taxes and ruin Austin the same way they all ruined California.
And so they're turning Austin into another disastrous, you know, logic-free zone full of liberals and Democrats who are going to run Austin into the ground, and they're trying to take over Texas, but they're not going to succeed in that because, you know, Texas has a very specific culture.
So, in any case, if you believe in liberty, freedom of speech, First Amendment, Second Amendment, and so on, come to Texas.
We actually could use your help here because we need more people to vote for Texas culture.
But I understand a lot of people who have the same beliefs are moving to places like Idaho, which is also a great place, but very cold and mountainous, but easily defendable, I guess, in a revolution or something.
But people are moving to Idaho, people are moving to Montana, people are moving to Colorado.
All good places.
They all have their own special benefits and properties, even Wyoming, Utah.
There are great things everywhere, but no state has, I think, the pride of Texas or the culture, the sense of unity that Texas has.
Texas is a unique place for many reasons, too, related to survival and preparedness.
Texas has its own power grid, for example.
No other state in the continental United States has its own power grid.
So that's unique and interesting.
And Texas is an energy exporter.
Texas has a A port, an energy port.
You know, Texas could grow its own food supply.
It has an amazing capability to grow food.
Texas has its own water supply, which a lot of states don't, frankly.
So Texas has a lot going for it, and it's got a very capable population.
It's got low taxes.
There's no state income tax, for example, in Texas.
So if you're paying high state income taxes in New York...
And you're tired of getting socked by the New York waste bureaucracy system, then, you know, come to Texas.
But don't bring liberal values to Texas, please.
We don't want you here if that's your system.
In summary, I've lived all over the world.
You know, I lived in South America.
I've lived in Taiwan.
I've lived in many different states across the United States, and I've visited other continents and other countries, Europe and Australia and so on in Southeast Asia.
I've been to a lot of different places.
I've seen a lot of things.
I've seen third world nations.
I've seen poverty.
I've seen desperation.
I've seen wealth.
I've seen high-tech, expensive cities, neighborhoods.
I think I've seen...
A lot of what planet Earth has to offer in terms of human civilization.
I've seen many ends of the spectrum.
And everywhere I've lived doesn't compare to the benefits of living in Texas.
Texas is really something special.
It is the single most amazing place on the planet as far as I'm concerned.
There's no other place that compares to Texas if you value the things that I value.
There's just no comparison.
If you love the outdoors, if you love being a hands-on person, if you love living on a ranch, whether it's a small ranch or a big ranch, if you love working with animals, I've got goats and donkeys and chickens and so on, and I really enjoy being close to nature, which includes not just trees and plants and growing your own food, but also working with animals.
If you enjoy those things, as far as I'm concerned, there's no place better than Texas.
The people are nice.
The people are polite.
The government is minimal.
I mean, the government doesn't get in your face all the time.
They mostly leave you alone as long as you're not breaking laws.
Obviously, if you're running around driving drunk down the highway, yeah, they're going to mess with your life, as they should.
But as long as you're not doing those things, for the most part, Texas stays out of your life.
Which is really all that I ask for as an American.
Let me run my business.
Let me have my land and stay out of my life as much as possible.
That's my message to government.
Yeah, I'll...
I'll pay some taxes.
I'll contribute to society.
I'll create jobs and hire people and run a production center.
We're creating jobs throughout Texas, and we raised money and gave donations to victims of Hurricane Harvey and victims of the flooding and victims of the fires of 2011 in Central Texas and so on.
So we step up to the plate.
Time and time again, you know, we give money to groups, we help the firefighters, we help the veterans, we help the Native American Indian groups with lab testing and so on.
So we contribute to society.
We just want a society where we can be free, you know, free to shoot my rifle on my ranch if I want, free to speak my mind, have my own views and have my own opinions.
Without being harassed by government or censored by government.
And to have the freedom to own a business, run a business, seek prosperity and happiness.
And that's it.
That's all we really want.
If that makes sense to you, come to Texas because that's where you're going to find that you can pursue that dream.
I think more so than anywhere else in the world that I've seen.
And I've seen quite a few places.
So, you know...
God bless Texas, they say.
And thank Governor Abbott for his leadership for the state.
And you got to thank the state legislative bodies for holding down, you know, standing strong against tyranny and against the liberal agenda to take over the state and turn it into a totalitarian communist regime, which is what they always want.
I just want to thank all those out there who are defending Texas, and I want to let you know that I consider myself a Texan, and I am here to support and defend both Texas and these United States of America against any effort that would try to destroy this amazing, rare, unique thing that we have here, which is called liberty.
So let's all defend liberty as much as possible.
You can read one of my websites, liberty.news, for more coverage of Liberty events.
