McDonald’s collapsing as customers seek cleaner, more ethical food
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
Well, it's time to celebrate my friends.
McDonald's is suffering a collapse.
Yeah, the franchise is in a deep depression and is, quote, facing its final days, according to its own franchisees, who said that it could be facing a collapse.
Quote, we're in the throes of a deep depression and nothing is changing anymore.
One franchisee wrote in response to a survey, probably 30% of operators are insolvent.
Now, for those of you who don't know what that word means, it means financially bankrupt.
Financially bankrupt.
Now, why is McDonald's collapsing and why is this something worth celebrating?
This is Mike Adams here, the Health Ranger.
You are listening to the Health Ranger Report on TalkNetwork.com.
And yeah, we love it when the free market It causes an unethical, poison-pushing corporation like McDonald's to suffer a financial collapse.
And frankly, it couldn't happen to a better corporation.
Well, I guess Monsanto would be even better, but they're suffering a financial collapse as well, as demand for their toxic GMOs and herbicides.
Cancer-causing glyphosate is in a rapid decline.
You know, McDonald's uses a lot of Monsanto products.
They serve up a lot of GMOs, a lot of textured soy protein, vegetable protein.
Canola oil, all kinds of other ingredients that are genetically modified.
McDonald's hasn't even attempted to say that they're going to clean up their menu-reduced chemicals and additives and GMOs and other toxic ingredients.
That's not even their realm.
They're like, screw that, let's build some more playgrounds and let's brainwash some more little kids.
Running around like little Ronald McDonald pedophile kind of reminds me of Subway's Jared Fogle.
Maybe he should be the spokesperson for McDonald's since the corporation is screwing so many children nutritionally, of course, is what I mean.
But all they want to do is build playgrounds and run ads and engage in social engineering and propaganda instead of actually cleaning up their food supply and serving food that people want to buy.
Meanwhile, Chipotle has announced a non-GMO menu, and customers are flocking to Chipotle because they want cleaner food.
And Panera has cleaned up its menu and removed a couple of hundred of different additives and preservatives and chemicals and artificial ingredients from its food.
And people love that, too.
You know, all across the board, the restaurants that are winning the fast food wars are the restaurants that are using more natural and sometimes even organic and definitely non-GMO ingredients.
So this is a wonderful thing.
You know, I support the free market.
I support consumer choice and consumer freedom to make a decision in their best interest and.
And it's wonderful when consumer freedom happens to punish corporations that are pushing poison.
That's why this is such a wonderful thing to see, and this is why I encourage you to continue to boycott McDonald's.
It is a restaurant chain that has a long history of not only committing basically nutritional violence against children, Well, that might be an exaggeration.
Nutritional negligence, let's put it that way.
That's probably more accurate.
At the same time that they are committing violence against animals.
So McDonald's purchases its meat from some of the most horrendous farming practices, organizations that you would just be horrified to walk through.
There's a reason that Chicken McNuggets only come in three shapes, and none of them are shaped like real pieces of chicken.
Because they're not nuggets of chicken.
They are, in fact, compressed pieces of processed whatever.
You know, as they used to say, parts is parts.
And they happen to, they press them into the same three, maybe four shapes.
And that's called the Chicken McNugget.
And, you know, they get all the corn syrup and all the garbage in their products as well.
And every once in a while, you know, McDonald's comes out and serves up a McRibs sandwich.
And the first clue about that, that something is terribly wrong here, is that it looks like the shape of a rack of ribs, but there are no ribs in it.
You're like, wait a minute, wait a minute.
Isn't this called ribs?
Because there's ribs in it?
But no, not a McDonald's.
It's shaped like ribs, but they ain't got no ribs in there.
So there's no ribs at all in the McRib sandwich.
In fact, it's some kind of processed crazy meat.
And by the way, I say all of this with a great deal of admiration for the people that I know in Texas who make amazing ribs.
And I love talking to them and I love sharing how much I love the ribs.
Yeah, I eat ribs every once in a while, but they're real ribs.
And I only eat beef ribs, by the way.
I don't eat pork ribs.
I have some ethical reasoning behind that.
Well, I'm not even going to go into all that, but let's just say I prefer free-range ribs and I eat it as an actual component of nutrition rather than just entertainment.
So I do it very rarely, maybe once a month or whatever.
Anyway, nevertheless, this isn't about me, this is about McDonald's.
And McDonald's is, you know, this is the place that a lot of us grew up with.
I remember when I was in grade school, My teachers actually had a reward system where at the end of the semester, if you had a perfect behavior score, they would take you to McDonald's.
And they would take us all down the road.
We had a McDonald's that was, I don't know, a quarter of a mile away.
We would literally walk down the road.
We're talking like fifth graders here.
And they would take us to McDonald's and if you were good, you'd get like French fries.
If you were really good, you'd get like a Big Mac.
And so, because I was so well behaved, as you can tell by the way I behave today as an adult, you know I never stir up trouble with anybody.
I don't know why anyone would even think that.
So I was always getting the free French fries and the free Big Macs and I thought, this is pretty cool!
I'm getting a free McDonald's meal here for good behavior, and I didn't know that I was being fed toxic garbage, and neither did my teachers, of course, at the time.
Frankly, it was probably a lot less toxic in those days.
I'm not a young guy in my 20s anymore, so the food has changed a lot over the years that I've been alive, and it has gotten more toxic today than it was several decades ago.
So it probably wasn't nearly as bad.
You know, the McDonald's hamburger back then probably was made of hamburger.
Today, who knows?
Who knows what's in there?
It's a mystery under that bun.
The pickles alone are a mystery.
The last time I looked, I'm not even sure what's in the bun, frankly.
Probably some crazy stuff in there.
Nevertheless, McDonald's is in decline, and people are choosing basically anything else other than McDonald's, which makes a lot of sense.
You see, this is what fast food people don't quite understand.
Is that consumers have a choice, okay?
And you don't control, when I say you, I mean the corporations, you don't control the messaging anymore.
This is no longer 1982 where there were three networks and you could dominate the news coverage and the advertising of everything.
Today, we have the internet, we have free speech, we have transparency.
We even have people like myself who own our own private food laboratories.
Yes, I run an ICP-MS instrument for heavy metals contamination detection in foods, and I'm also getting up to speed on the HPLC, by the way, which is a liquid chromatography instrument that can detect pesticides and BPA and other chemicals that are in the foods.
So this never happened in the 80s, but today we've got independent websites like naturalnews.com.
We've got independent radio sites like talknetwork.com.
We've got independent labs.
We've got activists like the Food Babe, and we've even got people like Dr.
Oz out there who's talking about cleaner food.
And that's why he's being attacked, of course, by the Monsanto prostitutes, also known as propagandists, shills, also known as University of Florida professors, for those of you keeping track.
So, you know, the transparency is just, it's multiplying constantly.
People are finding out more and more about what's in their food.
And the bottom line is, people who are informed, no matter where they are politically, or no matter what their gender, no matter how old they are, they don't want to eat poison.
People don't want to eat poison.
And if McDonald's would wake up and smell the coffee on that point, And coffee is loaded with antioxidants, by the way, so it's one of the healthiest things that people eat who frequent McDonald's.
If McDonald's would wake up and smell the coffee, then they would change their menu and start catering to people whose tastes in food choice are dramatically shifting.
And this is not going to slow down, you McDonald's brain-dead zombie executives, because, you know, look, more and more truth is going to come out.
You can't stop this.
You can't censor this.
Some of these companies, like Coca-Cola, they try to pay off these online editors and bloggers.
Pay them.
Pay them money.
Here, we'll give you 20 bucks if you blog about Coca-Cola as being a healthy part of a healthy, balanced diet.
You can have a Coke with a salad.
Coca-Cola's good for you.
And these people all got busted for being paid off by Coca-Cola.
It was this payola, basically bribery of bloggers.
You know, you can try that, but you're going to be exposed, okay?
Because the public isn't stupid, you know?
And there's a lot of scrutiny on you, McDonald's and Coca-Cola and PepsiCo and Nestle and all you evil corporations that poison people for money and Monsanto.
I've got to include Monsanto in that list.
There's a lot of scrutiny on you.
You're not going to get away with anything.
Hey, we even got your emails, Monsanto, all your secret emails where you're bribing Kevin Fulta at the University of Florida.
Yeah, we found out and we posted that shit.
So, yeah, all of that is now a matter of public record.
You're busted.
So, you're not going to get away with it.
You might as well...
Surrender to the clean food movement and just clean up your damn menu.
Get rid of the GMOs.
Get rid of the toxic ingredients.
Get rid of the artificial additives.
Get rid of the hydrogenated oils.
Get rid of the aspartame.
Get rid of the MSG and just basically serve some clean food for a change.
Stop poisoning your customers and hey, maybe they might stick around longer and give you some repeat business.
How's that for a business model?
Keep your customers alive.
Wow!
Hey, if McDonald's ever figures that out, they'll turn a profit again.
Imagine that.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this talk and perhaps a little bit of entertainment along with it.
