How leftists create their own economic hell… minimum wage, Obamacare and more
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
I want to explain to you how Democrats and leftists create their own hell, economic hell in particular.
Here's how it works.
If you look at the college students across America today, you know, they're all marching in the streets and they're all complaining and whining about social injustice or inequality.
And they're saddled with all these student debt.
And they think that student debt is wrong.
That just the fact that they have student debt is some kind of inequality or inherent racism in the system.
Right.
Even though they signed the document to take on the loan to invest in their education, which is supposed to have some value that they can apply in the marketplace to earn more money to pay off their debt, which is what the rest of us did.
They think that that debt is somehow racist.
And so they're marching and they've been demanding that all their debt be forgiven, that all college tuition be free, and that they all be granted a $15 an hour minimum wage.
Now you might wonder, well, why do all these students have all this debt?
Because it extends to not just students that are still in school, but students that have already graduated from school.
Why do they still have so much debt?
The answer is they can't find jobs.
Aren't enough jobs hiring them.
And so they don't have the ability to pay off the debt that they took on to get the education.
Well, if you ask, why are there not enough jobs?
The answer there is exactly what all these young liberal college students demanded four years earlier, which was free health care.
Yep, free health care, Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act.
This is what these young students were demanding.
They wanted free health care because health insurance was too expensive.
They want a free health care.
So Obama and others conspired to push through an unconstitutional mandate requiring employers to purchase monopoly priced health insurance programs for their employees.
But only employees that were working over, I think, 30 hours a week.
So this mandate was thrust onto businesses.
Businesses, of course, have to compete in a global marketplace, and they suddenly found themselves unable to compete if they had to follow this mandate and pay for these health care benefits for the employees.
So, of course, what did businesses do?
Because they operate in a free market and they are run by mostly rational people.
What did they do?
They started eliminating jobs or offshoring the jobs, hiring people somewhere else.
El Salvador, for example, or the Philippines or India for tech jobs and so on.
You don't have to pay Obamacare for programmers in India, do you?
Nope.
So they began offshoring all these jobs, and then the jobs that they had to keep in America, such as service jobs in fast food and restaurants and so on, they cut them all back to be below 30 hours.
So now you have people who used to have jobs that were 40 hours a week being slashed back to 30 hours or fewer.
Now they don't even have a full-time job.
They don't have a full-time income.
And of course, they also don't get the health care benefit because it's not required if you have people working fewer than 30 hours a week.
So now these are the same people who had student loans and who were screaming about demanding free health care.
Now they don't have the income to pay off their student loans.
So they're still saddled with student loans.
And so, in order to pay off these student loans, what are they doing now?
Marching in the streets, demanding free money so that their loans will be paid off by someone else.
Taxpayers.
You see how this works?
It is, in fact, their demand for free health care that created the unemployment and the job losses that led to them being unable to pay off their student debt that made them join in this ridiculous march effort to get free money to pay off all their debts.
They have created this.
And this is the way economics works In the real world, when you wish for a free lunch, and you demand a free lunch, i.e.
free healthcare, you actually don't get the free lunch that you wanted without unintended consequences kicking in.
This should be the lesson of our age, the lesson of unintended consequences.
Because every time you have people on the radical left, including these crazed, racist, maniac students, these student protesters who are just the most idiotic generation I've ever seen, even more idiotic than I've ever read about in the history of the entire country, they're horrible.
But they always believe, all these leftists believe, that money comes from thin air.
They don't understand that everything that you get as an entitlement that is forced by the government to be paid for by employers will have an unintended consequence.
They are incapable of grasping this concept because the education quality for one is so horrific in America that kids aren't even being taught economics to begin with.
They're being taught things like gender studies.
You know, you can have women's studies and black culture class and, I don't know, social justice warrior training 101.
Or how about victimization role-playing 101?
That seems to be the real courses that are taught on college campus these days.
But they're not being taught things like economics or just basic mathematics, how to calculate interest on the debt.
They don't even know.
They don't even understand the concept of compounding interest on the debt.
They have no clue what that even means.
If you go up to a college student today, you say, can you explain compounding interest on the debt?
And they'll say, no, but the fact that you're asking me means you're a racist.
That's probably the answer you'll get.
Or how about the rule of 72?
The relationship between interest rates, the time it takes to double your money, and the number 72.
Virtually nobody in college today has any idea what that means.
They're not being taught the basics.
They're only being taught how to play victims.
They're being taught This false narrative, this fairy tale, delusional, la-la land version of reality, which is all about how to be a victim, how to master victimization role-playing, how to be a cry-bully.
A cry-bully is someone who whines and cries and plays the victim while bullying everybody else and condemning everybody else as being a racist.
That's a nice word, isn't it?
Cry bully.
It has become part of the lexicon of the internet recently.
And they introduced these concepts of safe spaces.
We all have to be in safe spaces.
What's a safe space?
In their minds, I think a safe space is like a college campus where no one can say anything hurtful.
Really?
So we can't say...
I'm not even going to get into this.
It's so ridiculous.
It's so ridiculous.
So you can't even talk about financial collapse.
You can't talk about bankruptcy.
You can't talk about the requirement that people should act like adults and take responsibility for their own debt.
That's hurtful.
That's a hurtful comment that you just said, that we should pay off our own debt.
That's very hurtful, and I'm going to report you.
Seriously.
Mizzou, the campus police there, issued a memo that said you should call the police.
Literally.
If you hear hurtful speech, you should call the police and report it.
Literally.
I'm not even making that up.
So, all of the unintended consequences, of course, create exactly the conditions that the leftists claim to be trying to reverse.
Right?
Why are so many people living in poverty?
It's because of the things that they demanded.
They set it all in motion.
They created the job losses.
They created the unemployment.
They created the outrageous financial burden on employers by demanding all these freebies.
It's cause and effect.
Economics 101, and yet they still don't get it.
So you can't even explain any of this to a leftist.
Because it's like they've just smoked too much weed.
That part of the brain that maybe used to potentially be able to do mathematics or understand economics has been burned out with marijuana.
Literally, they cannot compute.
This is abundantly evident in conversations with him, like this video that Neil Cavuto did with this Million Student March leader named Keely Mullen.
And he asked her, you know, realistic questions like, how are you going to pay for this?
And she comes up with just the most insanely illiterate answers.
It just makes no sense.
It's like, what planet are you on?
Are you even human?
Are you a robot?
That has been programmed to act like a student or something?
What the heck?
I guess even a robot could do math.
So she's probably not a robot.
She's probably just a student who has no clue.
But you can't even have a conversation because, you see, the political left always resorts down to emotional, emotional arguments.
Not rational, not economic, not mathematical because they can't win those arguments.
So they make everything emotional.
They stage fake attacks on themselves.
They stage fake racism, fake false flag attacks.
And they invent, they fabricate.
Oh, the KKK is invading campus and threatening us all with white supremacist talk.
No, they totally invented that complete delusion.
They spread that hoping that it would stick and it didn't stick.
Turns out to be completely false.
So you can't even have an intelligent conversation with these people.
Hey, Neil Cavuto tried.
It doesn't work.
Seriously, it's kind of like trying to explain philosophy to a pig.
You know, you waste your time and you annoy the pig, basically.
You've heard that saying before, right?
You try to teach a pig how to sing, you just waste your time and annoy the pig.
This is what it's like trying to talk to these young students these days.
You're just wasting your time and you're annoying them.
They have no idea what you've said.
They have no idea what numbers mean or economics or cause and effect or anything.
They've been reduced to almost reptilian reactions of the lower brainstem.
Just emotional reactions.
That's all they understand.
Social injustice.
You know, beyond that, I mean, the higher brain functions aren't even there anymore.
Maybe this is a problem with too much weed legalization or something.
Or just crazy social programming.
I'm not sure.
But they cannot compute anymore.
