Well, less than one full day, actually.
And we were kind of late getting the news out, so we will easily get over $25,000 in funds raised today.
That will be sent to directly to the groups that are helping people on the ground in Houston or other affected areas, perhaps Corpus Christi.
We're pulling together the actual final list right now of where we're sending the money.
We'll bring you the full report of exactly which groups we've donated to and exactly how much money that we've sent them.
And some of them are local churches, for example, because we don't like to give money to the American Red Cross or the United Way or these other groups that have high overhead and are kind of scammy.
We prefer to give directly to small local organizations that are run by volunteers that actually spend the money on things that help people directly.
You know, blankets, food, hotel rooms, whatever they need, bottled water, You know, a pair of socks.
You know, people need basics.
And there are tens of thousands of people who have been in shelters.
They've had to seek shelter.
There are hundreds of thousands that have been displaced, if not millions.
It might be millions.
I don't know.
I don't know the exact number.
I don't think anybody does.

And in fact, we've had a lot of compliments about this approach.
People love it because A lot of people, they don't know, they don't trust donations to the American Red Cross, especially after the whole Haiti fiasco, where there was a lot of deception on the part of the Red Cross.
You know, a lot of people don't trust them anymore.
I don't trust them.
People want to help, but they don't know where to give.
And also, a lot of people are in almost a dire financial situation themselves.
They've got a limited budget and they need preparedness items for themselves as well so that they can be safe or their families can be safe or their communities can be safe.
So with this situation that we have set up and announced, everybody wins.

And that's not a small thing.

That's a pretty big volume.
It's going to take us a couple of days to catch up with that, to ship out all that product.
So I thank you for your patience if you're ordering.
But we have the infrastructure.
We've got the employees.
We've got the forklifts.
We've got the warehouse space.
We've got the contracts with UPS and FedEx.
And we've got the manufacturing facility and so on.
And we've built this infrastructure.
So it's important to use that infrastructure for something positive in this time of need for our fellow Texans.
You know, my heart goes out to those people who have suffered so much.
I mean, I can't imagine having all my belongings and all my household, my house itself and everything just swept away overnight.
How devastating is that?
You know, not just to lose your house, but the memories that go with all your stuff, all your family photos, let's say, or all the things maybe that are important to you.
Even your own clothes.
It's comforting to be able to put on your own clothes instead of having to wear donated clothes in a shelter.
My heart goes out to these people.
I want to help them in every way I can.
But you know what?
There was something almost karmically not quite connecting about merely writing a check to them.
I wanted this to be a community effort.
I wanted to make this offer where we, in essence, are matching 50% of your purchase so that you and we are working together as a community to help those in need.
And the more you are willing to step up and help, the more we're willing to dig deep and help at the same time.
And so together, we're accomplishing something that maybe we couldn't do alone.
I'm not sure that I could have written a check for $50,000 just Out of our pocket.
I don't think we could have.
That's beyond what we could do.
But with your help, you purchase products from us, and then we donate 50%, then we can make it work.
Because now, you know, because normally we have a little bit of profit built into every product sale, so we have a little bit of profit, which lessens the amount that we have to dig into our pockets.
Yeah, we're still going to have to, you know, Write a lot of our money toward this, but that's fine.
Again, I welcome the opportunity to do that.
I wish God would give me more opportunities to help touch the lives of people in need.
I mean, it's an honor to be able to do this.
It's an honor.
And I don't know what else...
I mean, there's nothing better that I could do with this revenue, as far as I'm concerned, right now, than to just give it to those who need it.
Give it to those who have suffered so much, and they've been through so much, and they've lost so much.
And for them to know...
That there's somebody out there, they might not even know who I am, and it doesn't even matter.

And that's okay.
