Health Ranger - Mike Adams - NOAA Warns Washington D.C. Residents to Carry Winter SURVIVAL Kits as Blizzard Approaches Aired: 2018-03-19 Duration: 12:21 === NOAA Snow Warning (09:32) === [00:00:01] All right, the NOAA, that's the National Oceanographic and, I think, Atmospheric Administration, is that what it is? [00:00:07] The NOAA, part of the government, has said to those people in Washington, D.C., you're about to get pummeled with 30 inches of snow. [00:00:18] Yep, 30 inches. [00:00:19] And in their radio weather announcement, they've stated, quote... [00:00:26] They try to translate this for the dumbasses living in Washington, D.C. who don't know anything about preparedness. [00:00:33] They have a section now called Precautionary Slash Preparedness Actions. [00:00:38] And it says, a blizzard warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. [00:00:45] Really? [00:00:46] Is that what a blizzard warning means? [00:00:48] I mean, so look, this is how dumb people have become in America that you have to tell them the definition of a blizzard warning. [00:00:57] Like most people, you know, a generation ago, they would have said, oh, a blizzard warning probably means it's going to be a freaking blizzard, right? [00:01:05] You know, a lot of white snow, wind, you know, hard to see, you know, difficult to travel, you know, you'd probably freeze if you're walking around in a tank top and shorts and flip-flops like that girl in Wisconsin died a couple days ago pulling that off. [00:01:22] You know, Americans used to be intelligent enough to know what a blizzard warning meant. [00:01:26] Now they have to translate it for you. [00:01:28] So it continues with the NOAA, quote, falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely. [00:01:36] Really? [00:01:37] You mean a blizzard means falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibility? [00:01:43] No way! [00:01:44] Holy cow, I'm going to have to rethink my whole paradigm of what a blizzard is. [00:01:49] I thought it was tropical sunshine, pina colada on the beach, gentle waves lapping on my ankles. [00:01:58] No, apparently it has to do with falling and blowing snow. [00:02:03] It continues, quote, this will lead to white-out conditions. [00:02:07] White privilege comes in. [00:02:09] Can you believe the NOAA and their racism? [00:02:14] White-out conditions. [00:02:17] Of course it's all racist. [00:02:18] The snow is white, too. [00:02:21] And you notice how the white snow blankets everything like it's controlling it? [00:02:26] It's the man. [00:02:28] It's the white man blizzard. [00:02:30] Uh-huh. [00:02:31] Whiteout conditions. [00:02:32] I knew the NOAA was racist. [00:02:35] We've got to get some social justice warriors over there shoveling snow to get rid of that. [00:02:39] That's the thing. [00:02:42] Find some social justice warriors in the D.C. area, hand them a shovel, and say, we're going to get rid of the white. [00:02:48] Here, clear my driveway. [00:02:50] See what happens. [00:02:51] See if they go for it. [00:02:53] Alright, it continues. [00:02:54] Making travel extremely dangerous. [00:02:57] Do not travel. [00:02:58] That's a whole sentence from the NOAA. Do not travel. [00:03:04] Okay. [00:03:06] As if... [00:03:07] There are probably people out there who realize, yeah, there's 30 inches of snow coming in a blizzard condition. [00:03:14] Hey, let's take a trip to the park. [00:03:18] No, let's drive around town and go get some barbecue. [00:03:24] So the NOAA has to tell people, do not travel. [00:03:27] Really, they should put in parentheses, in case you're a complete idiot. [00:03:33] Nevertheless, it continues. [00:03:34] If you must travel... [00:03:36] If you must travel... [00:03:40] And here's the real gem of this. [00:03:42] Have a winter survival kit with you. [00:03:45] Whoa! [00:03:47] Wait a minute. [00:03:48] I thought the government and the mainstream media told us that survival was kooky. [00:03:54] If you're a survivalist, you're some kind of redneck, gun-toting, Bible-thumping... [00:04:02] A tree-squirrel-eating southerner. [00:04:06] Oh, if you're into survival, there's something wrong with you. [00:04:08] You're some kind of a kooky conspiracy theorist. [00:04:13] How dare you want to be engaged in survival? [00:04:17] But now the government says, have a winter survival kit with you. [00:04:23] Notice they didn't say have a winter survival kit back at your house while you're stuck in your car with no survival kit. [00:04:29] So now they're actually saying you should have a survival kit. [00:04:33] Well, this is a big change. [00:04:35] It used to be just they would say, no, no, it's survival. [00:04:38] You're probably anti-government if you have a survival kit. [00:04:41] What, you don't believe? [00:04:43] Us, when we tell you that everything's okay, the economy's just fine, then you know the stock market's going to recover, every little dip is just a buying opportunity, everything's cool, everything's awesome. [00:04:55] That's the government. [00:04:56] You don't need survival, you don't need preparedness, you don't need diversification. [00:05:00] Keep all your money and dollars and put it all in your bank so they can take it from you when the crash happens. [00:05:07] Alright, if you get stranded, it says, stay with your vehicle. [00:05:13] No! [00:05:16] I think you should wander aimlessly in white-out conditions in your t-shirt, your tank top, and your shorts and your flip-flop. [00:05:26] You know, flip-flops are kind of like snowshoes, you know, sort of. [00:05:30] Just a smaller surface area. [00:05:32] If you have a good imagination because you believe what you see on CNN, then flip-flops are kind of snowshoes. [00:05:39] You could flip-flop around a little while, and then after a while you might stop flopping as you freeze. [00:05:45] But really? [00:05:47] Stay with your vehicle? [00:05:48] You mean I should stay inside something that provides shelter? [00:05:52] No! [00:05:53] I want to wander aimlessly down the highway and hope someone rescues me. [00:05:59] I can't believe this preparedness advice. [00:06:02] Yeah, we should have an online seminar. [00:06:05] The NOAA teaches survival... [00:06:08] They would have really intelligent tips like don't jump off tall buildings. [00:06:14] Don't wander aimlessly in a blizzard when you have your car right there next. [00:06:18] Stay in your car. [00:06:20] Don't drink strychnine. [00:06:24] Don't look down the barrel of loaded firearms to see if they're loaded or not. [00:06:30] Yeah, that's good advice from the NOAA. If you get stranded to stay with your vehicle, prepare for the possibility of power outages during snowy and cold conditions. [00:06:41] All right, now this is actually sensible advice, the first sentence that probably needs to be stated. [00:06:47] Yeah, you should prepare for the grid to go down intermittently or for some period of time, three days, three weeks, who knows? [00:06:57] So the NOAA now is in the survival business, and they're really covering the basics, like Survival 101. [00:07:07] Hey, wear a coat. [00:07:10] Have on long pants. [00:07:12] If you're in your car and you're driving in 30 inches of snow, don't wear shorts. [00:07:18] Have a pair of gloves. [00:07:21] And, you know, maybe a hat would be nice, some earmuffs, some mittens. [00:07:26] You know, have a cell phone with you that isn't out of batteries, and better yet, you know, have a radio, a CB radio, even better. [00:07:37] All right, so they are now predicting various hazard types here. [00:07:40] Heavy snow and wind with blowing and drifting snow. [00:07:44] That's actually their sentence. [00:07:45] Heavy snow and wind with blowing and drifting snow Friday afternoon through Saturday night. [00:07:49] Sleet may mix with the snow Friday night into Saturday morning before changing back to all snow. [00:07:59] Basically, there's a bunch of cold stuff coming out of the sky, alright? [00:08:03] Just get used to it. [00:08:05] Sleet may mix with the snow. [00:08:07] What is this, a recipe for a smoothie? [00:08:10] And you add in some lemon juice. [00:08:13] And you take some snow and you put in some ginger. [00:08:20] Sorry, I'm having too much fun with this. [00:08:23] Maybe it's because I love the snow. [00:08:24] I actually grew up in a climate where we used to sled as kids. [00:08:29] Did you ever do that? [00:08:30] The snow comes, it shuts down the schools, it's awesome. [00:08:33] You get to grab a sled and you get to go hang out with friends and slide down hills and break your teeth out when you hit trees and whatever else happens. [00:08:42] It's all fun. [00:08:44] Okay, so the city of Washington, D.C. is expected to receive around 24 inches. [00:08:49] Alright, conditions are expected to deteriorate Friday afternoon with the heaviest snow. [00:08:55] Heavy snow and blowing snow will cause dangerous conditions, it says. [00:08:59] Really? [00:09:00] And will be a threat to life and property. [00:09:02] No way! [00:09:04] Travel is expected to be severely limited, if not impossible, during the height of the storm Friday night and Saturday. [00:09:09] Well, it's kind of interesting that this is happening on a weekend. [00:09:13] So, you know... [00:09:16] Have a common sense approach to this. === Stay Safe, Stay Warm (03:02) === [00:09:18] Those of you who are on the East Coast, I know that you're laughing at this along with me because you're already well prepared. [00:09:23] If you listen to the Health Ranger report, you've got preparedness nailed. [00:09:27] You already have a survival kit, right? [00:09:29] You've got backup food, water, medicine, communications, gear. [00:09:34] You've got like a sleeping bag in your house in case the power goes out and your house gets cold, you can still hunker down and be just fine. [00:09:42] You're all set. [00:09:44] But you're going to see a panic in the mainstream culture of D.C. and Baltimore and other cities that are impacted by this because, again, we live in a nation now where the masses are preparedness morons and they have to be told things like, oh, if it's a white-out blizzard, don't leave your car and wander aimlessly down the highway on foot. [00:10:05] That's the kind of advice now that we have to tell people. [00:10:09] So we're like, shouldn't we just let them just do that and win the Darwin Award? [00:10:13] I mean, seriously, as a society, shouldn't we... [00:10:16] Hey, if you think that walking through a blizzard in flip-flops is a great idea, just go for it, man. [00:10:23] Go for it. [00:10:24] We'll try to revive you after your body's been on ice for, you know, 48 hours. [00:10:30] And sometimes we can revive you, right? [00:10:33] A little cryogenic experiment with people who are removing themselves from the human gene pool. [00:10:42] So, this is why I'm kind of, I'm with George Carlin on this. [00:10:46] I kind of like to see humanity's response to natural disasters because it sorts out the survivors from the morons, doesn't it? [00:10:56] You know, whether it's a hurricane or a severe storm or who knows, one day like a grid down, lights out scenario, cyber attack on the grid. [00:11:04] Right? [00:11:06] What if it takes out the whole northeastern power grid for ten days? [00:11:10] That would tend to sort people out. [00:11:12] You know, you'd have the morons, and then you'd have the actual people who are ready to survive. [00:11:18] And that would sort them out very quickly, which is a great service for the rest of us to observe. [00:11:25] Okay. [00:11:26] Alright, so that's the story. [00:11:30] Everybody stay safe, obviously, and you're going to do just fine. [00:11:33] Don't fret. [00:11:35] Get your supplies well in advance. [00:11:37] If you haven't already stocked up, you need to do it right now before the crowds. [00:11:42] Probably too late, actually, so forget what I just said. [00:11:46] You need to hunker down, stay safe, and also don't forget to practice self-defense if it is legal in your area. [00:11:52] I don't anticipate a lot of break-ins. [00:11:54] I don't anticipate... [00:11:56] I don't think this is going to be a high crime time. [00:11:59] It's going to be a time when people, it's too damn cold for people to go out and rob other people. [00:12:03] They're going to stay home. [00:12:04] So this is not a huge self-defense type of emergency, in my opinion. [00:12:10] Anyway, stay safe.
