How do you accomplish this?
Look, the secret is very simple.
It's very simple.
I'm going to share it with you right here.

All right, there are two parts to this answer.

It's very, very simple.
Okay, so first of all, let me just get the super simple part out of the way.
You're going to say, well, of course, but I'm going to tell you this part first to get it out of the way so that I can then focus on the more detailed part.
The simple thing is I don't waste time watching television.
I don't waste time using Snapchat.
I don't waste time following sports teams.
I don't waste time in useless social engagements.
So, the first part of all this, the simple thing is, I just don't waste time.
Now, if you think about how much time the average person spends watching television, it's no wonder they don't get anything done.
I think the average is like six or eight hours of TV a day or something like that, the last statistic I read.
That seems insane to me.
I don't subscribe to cable.
I don't watch ESPN or CNN or Fox News or anything.
I haven't had cable, I can't even remember.
It must have been 15, 20 years ago, last time I had cable TV or anything like that.
I do watch Netflix sometimes, although I unsubscribe when I see something totally crazy, and then I guess a few months later I hear about something better, I resubscribe.
But when I'm watching Netflix, this is one of my secrets, guess what I am doing?
I have a yoga mat rolled out on the floor in front of the display, and I'm doing rolling, I'm doing Pilates, and I'm doing basic yoga and stretching.
So rolling is body rolling, like a foam roller.
I'm a true believer in rolling.
It's amazing.
So when I'm watching something to relax, I'm doing something physical at the same time.
And a lot of my secrets are that I double up on things.
I do two things at once very, very frequently.
For example, just as an example, when I'm reviewing like a video documentary or a podcast that I've done, I'm reviewing that.
I run multiple monitors on my desk.
I'm writing an article at the same time that I'm reviewing a podcast or reviewing a video.
So I'm writing and reviewing at the same time.
Now you might ask, how can you do that?
I'm going to share that with you, how I do that.
I'm not going to leave you hanging.
But getting back to doing two things at once, I never waste time.
If I'm standing in line somewhere, even let's say at a grocery store, I'm reading.
I'm reading on my Samsung Galaxy 8.
Which has a really big screen if you get the plus version.
It's got a really huge screen.
So you can just read.
You can absorb.
I'm reading.
I'm thinking about ideas.
I'm reviewing science literature.
I'm formulating stories in my mind at the grocery store before I check out.
So I never waste time.
Even if I travel, I'm always reading or I'm writing or doing something as I'm traveling as well.
So anyway, that's the first part of this.
I don't waste time.
Now here's the bigger part in all of this.
Let me see what's the best way to explain this so that you will understand that this is real.
Okay, your brain, let's start with this.
You know that you have a non-physical part of you called your consciousness or your soul or your mind.
And then you also have a physical part which is your brain, the physical brain organ.
So let's start with that premise.
Now, I know there are some people who would argue they don't think there is such a thing as a mind, and you don't have to listen to them because they don't think they're conscious beings, so don't worry about that.
Those of us who are conscious, we know we're conscious.
You know you're conscious because you're listening to this, you're processing it, you're thinking about it yourself, you know you're conscious.
So you know there's a non-physical part and then there's a physical part.
Now let's focus on the physical part because the brain is actually the interface between your body and your non-physical mind, right?
So your consciousness has an idea, some creativity, an innovation of some kind.
And it is your brain through which your intention or your idea is processed or translated into this physical slash biochemical reality that is your body in this 3D space world.
You're here on Earth.
You have a physical body.
You're not just physical.
You have a non-physical mind.
But everything has to be translated into the physical part.
And that works based on laws of biochemistry, basic physics or chemistry, biochemistry.
Your brain is both a biochemical and an electrical.
The neurology of your brain is very complex, but it's based on the laws of physics.
Your brain isn't magic.
It's actually based on cause and effect, although it has some very, very advanced features that scientists still don't understand, like holographic memory storage, for example.
Memory is not stored in one single location in your brain like a hard drive.
It's actually stored in patterns or holographically stored, but I guess that's a topic for another podcast.
Now, since your brain is physical, you might want to ask yourself, what is it that powers your brain?
Have you ever thought about that?
What powers your brain?
I mean, if your brain is a bunch of physical cells and they are performing tasks, they are firing neurons, for example, they're also excreting cellular waste and bringing in cellular nourishment and so on, such as oxygen, right?
Your brain is obviously flooded with blood.
In fact, it's the things in your blood that power your brain.
Now, I know we don't think about this every day.
A lot of people don't.
But you have, of course, your carotid arteries.
Why are they so important?
Because they're pumping nourishment to your brain and carrying away waste products from your brain.
Now, once you realize that, it becomes immediately obvious that whatever is in your blood is the performance fuel for your brain.
Now let's go to the metaphor of a car.
If you have a high-performance car of some kind, I'm not into cars, so I wouldn't really know what one is, but I guess, you know, Lamborghini is the common, like, stylish car, I guess.
So let's suppose you have a Lamborghini.
Are you going to put crap fuel into the Lamborghini?
Are you going to put junk in the gas tank?
No, of course not.
Because it's a high-performance vehicle.
You need high-performance fuel to get the best out of that engineering of the Lamborghini.
So you use high-performance fuel.
What about your brain?
Your brain is a high-performance neural network.
I mean, it's an amazing computer.
It's actually a supercomputer.
This is a big part of the secret.
You have inside your skull a supercomputer, and yet most people poison the crap out of their supercomputer.
How do they do it?
They poison their own brains with their blood because your blood is made of the things that you ate.
Things you eat and drink and put on your skin, that's what your blood is made of.
Did you know that your blood is being recreated every second, every minute of every day?
That you're urinating out old blood cells and you're eliminating old toxins?
You're even exhaling toxins, but hopefully not exhaling blood.
So you're eliminating old blood cells and you're regenerating new blood cells constantly.
What's your blood made of?
Your blood is made of the stuff you ate.
And your blood is fueling your brain.
And so your brain is fueled by the things you eat.
Making sense so far?
You gotta connect the dots here, right?
And most people don't.
Most people ridiculously believe that they can have full brain power when they're eating a bag of Doritos.
When they're living on processed junk food, McDonald's and pesticide-laden foods and glyphosate and GMOs and all the crap, the toxic additives and the food coloring chemicals, everything that's in the typical American food supply, the junk food, the processed food.
And then they wonder why their high-performance brain isn't working very well.
Maybe they feel mood disorders.
Maybe they feel depressed.
Maybe they have lapses in memory.
They can't concentrate.
They can't focus.
They can't learn as much as they want.
Why is that?
And they asked me, how can you speak three languages?
And one of them is Chinese, which is a really, really difficult language.
How did you learn laboratory science when you don't have a PhD, but you're doing beyond a PhD level work in the lab?
How did you do that?
How can you do two things at once?
How can you write an article and review a video simultaneously at the same time?
The answer is in the nutrition.
It's two things.
It's avoidance of toxins, and it's the intake of cognitive supporting nutrients.
Now, I'm going to plug my store in this, and I'll tell you why.

Most people are using incredibly toxic dryer sheets and fabric softeners.
They are so toxic to the brain because they are overloaded with synthetic fragrance chemicals.
And what happens when the brain encounters all of these toxins and all of these overpowering smells?
What happens is the brain recedes.
The sensitivity and the sensory complexity of the brain actually recedes inside.
It kind of dulls the brain.
Literally, using fabric softener products in your laundry makes you stupid.
Literally.
That's not a metaphor.
It actually makes you stupid.
And on the other side, things like drinking complex wines, for example, make you smarter because they expand the sensory experience of the brain.
When you expand your sensory experience, for example, listening to classical music.
Is another way to do it.
And this is why a lot of very intelligent people happen to drink wine and listen to classical music.
Personally, I'm not a wine drinker.
I just don't consume alcohol.
But I'm just using this as an example that's rooted in good science, by the way.
But if you coat all of your clothing in toxic fragrance chemicals and then you wear those clothes, you are inundating your sensory system, your sensory array with overpowering fragrance chemicals and you are making yourself literally stupid.

I can walk into a grocery store and it's immediately overpowering because I can smell that detergent aisle.
You know what I'm talking about?
You probably share this with me.
That detergent aisle inundates the entire store with toxic fragrance chemicals and fabric softeners.
I can actually take a plastic bag from the produce section of the store, which is usually on the opposite side of the store as the laundry detergent, and I can smell the fabric softener chemicals on the grapes, for example.
The bag that contains the grapes smells like fabric softener.
Why can I sense that?
Because I have very high sensory sensitivity because I don't use artificial fragrance products.
It's very simple.
And people who use these products, you ever notice, they can't smell them anymore.
Why is that?
It's because of exactly what I'm describing.
The brain recedes in terms of its sensory sensitivity because it's subjected to really a toxic, overpowering smell.
And you look at all these laundry detergents that people buy that are typically sold at grocery stores, they should not be in the same building as your food.
If you are buying food in a grocery store, technically, and I do as well, but I try to minimize it, you are buying food that is saturated with toxic, poisonous chemicals that make you stupid because it's in the same building as the laundry detergent and the fabric softeners.
Those chemicals inundate everything in the store, everything.
It's saturated with those chemicals.
When I lived in South America, we never bought food indoors.
We always bought food outdoors, outdoor marketplaces.
And even to this day, I grow a lot of my own food, including many foods that people would typically buy at the grocery store.
I grow them myself, or I buy them sometimes in outdoor marketplaces and food co-ops or farmer's markets.
Or CSAs or many different places you can get food that isn't poisoned with the toxic detergent chemicals.
So are you following some of my secrets so far?
A lot of what I've said here just comes down to not poisoning yourself.
Because remember, your brain is powered by your blood.
Your blood is made of the things that you ate or inhaled or consumed or were exposed to, right?
Where else is your blood going to come from?
It's not magic.
Your blood is created using the building blocks of what you just ate.
The minerals, you know, the water.
All the nutrients, all these things, the elements that go in your blood and so on.
It's from the things you eat.
Then the other side of this is there are so many things that you can consume that actually enhance cognitive function.
I don't even have to name specifics.
I'll just give you groups.
It's all about superfood high-density nutrition.
Compare my breakfast versus the average person's breakfast.
The average American breakfast is a toxic stew of garbage food.
What is it?
Like pancakes and fake French toast and sugary breakfast cereals and corn syrup and bacon with sodium nitrite in it.
And sodium nitrite combines with the hydrochloric acid in your stomach to form nitrosamines, which is cancer causing.
So they're causing colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, brain tumors.
Even before they leave the house in the morning, they're putting on toxic deodorant in their armpits, poisoning their brains with aluminum.
They're putting on toxic clothes, saturated and toxic fabric softeners and dryer sheets and laundry detergents.
It's amazing these people are even alive, much less functioning at all.

And this is not something that I've done for all 10 years.

And I've learned this From an Indian chemist who was consulting with me in my laboratory work, and I was talking to him about turmeric, and I actually brought him a big container of turmeric one day.
I said, look, you guys love turmeric, right?
He's like, oh yeah, we put it in everything.
Like he was born in India.
I think he's back in India right now, come to think of it.
He was born in India.
He's like, we put it in everything.
And I'm like, what do you mean everything?
He's like, in the drinks.
So I said, really?
I'm going to try that.
So I decided to try his little turmeric boost and I started just chucking spoon loads of turmeric, you know, one spoon load per smoothie into my morning smoothie.
And at first I was thinking, this is going to taste crazy.
You know, avocado, banana, coconut water, cacao nibs, whey protein, and turmeric?
Like, what is that going to taste like?
And I tried it, and it was great!
So it was one of those things where I learned that from somebody else, and it turns out that turmeric has phenomenal, just phenomenal properties for healthy cognitive function support.
And just do some research on turmeric, because as a spice, it is an amazing, just an amazing product.
I think it's one of the most powerful nutritive plants, or certainly roots, in the world.
Probably right up there with garlic.
It's very powerful.
It has so many benefits.
I can't even name them all because I'm limited by FDA regulations from what I can say about it.
However, what I can say is that a lot of turmeric is contaminated with lead because it's a root.
And so if it's grown in soils that are contaminated, it will bring in the lead and incorporate it into its own cellular matrix, and then you'll have lead turmeric.
And when I test a lot of off-the-shelf turmeric products or even from Amazon.com, I find crazy levels of lead in those products.
Even spices like, you know, curry spices, right?
If you buy curry spice, do you ever wonder how much lead is in it?
It's a lot of lead in a lot of those spices, and lead makes you stupid.

So I have, of course, the lab, the ability to test turmeric, and so I only consume turmeric that I have lab tested for very, very low...

And we have to reject a lot of batches.
We do.
We reject a lot of batches.
And I remember one time I was checking these turmeric batches.
And we always have the bulk suppliers send us a small sample so that we can test in the lab first.
And if it passes our lab test, then we tell them, okay, that's clean.
We're going to go ahead and buy, you know, 5,000 kilos or whatever we want in our store, you know, to offer to the public.
And so one time we got the sample in and it tested so low in lead...
I actually repeated the test to make sure that it was still super low.
And I don't remember the exact number, but it was like less than 30 parts per billion or something.
It was crazy low, almost zero.
And so it tested low again.
I was like, wow, this is really incredibly low.
We need to get all this we can.
So I tell my team to go back and buy all that turmeric because I want to offer it to my readers and our customers.
This is the cleanest turmeric we've ever seen.
And the company says, sorry, we've sold most of it.
We only have, I don't remember what they said, there's like 25 kilos or something left.
And I was like, 25 kilos?
We can't buy that small amount, because what are we going to do?

So...
I ended up buying it for my own personal supply.
I'm not even kidding.
I just said, look, this is the cleanest turmeric I've ever seen.

The biggest mistake people make in attempting to apply this information is not realizing all the ways they poison themselves.

My job is to help you be a better human being.
I'm going to tell you if there's poison in your cupboard, if there's poison in your bathroom.
I'm going to tell you if you're watching CNN, it's dumbing you down.
I'm going to tell you if you're drinking tap water, you're killing yourself.
You're killing your brain cells.
You need to have a good water filter.
Filter out the lead.
Filter out the fluoride, for God's sake.
There's another brain killer right there.
I don't drink fluoride.
Oh, and by the way, I don't take vaccine shots because they contain mercury.
Mercury destroys brain function.
So I don't get vaccinated.
I don't drink fluoride.
I don't take pharmaceuticals.
I don't take antidepressants.
I don't eat junk food.
I don't go to McDonald's.
And I test everything for toxins.
And I make sure that my diet is super clean.
The secret is right there.
And yet if you look at the masses of people all across America and most first world nations, what are they doing?
They are poisoning themselves every day in every possible way.
And then they wonder why they have such high medical bills or why they have such a high prescription drug habit, why they have to go to the pharmacy, why they feel depressed.

You're eating pesticides.
You're eating herbicides.
So stop that and your life will get better.

Like right now, I can't even listen to an audio book at normal speed.
I have to turn it up to like 1.5 times.
Otherwise, it drives me nuts.
It's too slow.
I can't even sit in a room and listen to a lecture anymore because the learning is too slow.
Like, how did I learn organic chemistry?
How did I learn how to run mass spec instrumentation?
How did I learn statistical analysis and relative standard deviations and quadratic curve fits for external standard numbers on a mass spec system?
It's because it's powered.
My whole experience is powered by nutrition, by incredible nutrition and lack of toxins.
So you can absorb.
You become a super learning being.
You are a super learner.
I can breeze through a book, almost like speed reading, and just absorb the book, absorb the information, and remember it, retain it, and apply it.
It's almost like being, you know, some people might say it's like being superhuman, but I say it's just like being a normal human, because we all have this potential.
If you're powered by nutrition and you avoid all these toxins that damage your brain, you too can achieve the normal human experience of being incredibly empowered with a supercomputer in your skull.
You can learn new languages.
You can learn new things at any age.

I remember when I was younger, when I was in my 20s, I had a hard time learning Spanish.

And And then the robot.
We got a new robot in the lab, the liquid handling robot, which I spent several months learning the physics of very precise aliquot handling for automated pipetting and making dilutions and things like that that required a whole new language.
Learned the language, wrote the scripts.
Today, I was there at the lab, and instead of doing a bunch of pipetting by hand, I just set it up, told the robot to go, and the robot made all the dilutions.
In fact, we were doing some method validation on cannabinoid analysis in the mass spec time-of-flight instrument, and I put in 20 vials that each was supposed to be about 20 parts per billion of cannabinoids.
Well, I say PPB. It's actually...
It's actually micrograms per milliliter, but we're going to assume the density of this solvent or diluent is 1.0 just for purposes of this discussion, even though it's actually 0.792.
But that's a different topic.
In any case, I put them in the instrument, and I ran all 20 of them, and then I took the average of the result that it came back as, so I allowed the instrument to tell me what it saw as 20 ppb, and it came back as an average of 20.019.
And that's because of the robot automated pipetting system that I programmed.
The accuracy is insane.
And we're talking parts per billion concentrations here, not parts per million.
We're talking PPB, the ability to detect 20 parts per billion of cannabinoids in a liquid with extreme accuracy.
I mean, it's astonishing.
And this is the kind of stuff that I have the joy of experiencing every day in lab science, and it's because my brain is simply functioning at a normal human level, which for all of us, you and me and everybody else, is a genius level.
And really, that's my main message for you here, and I'm going to wrap this up.
You are a genius.
Everybody you know is a genius in potential.
You are a genius just like me and everybody else around us, all of us.
We all were born to be geniuses, to function at the genius level of innovation and creativity and learning and advancement of knowledge.
And yet most people function literally at the moron level because they are poisoning themselves every day.
Your goal is to simply stop poisoning your brain, start nourishing your brain, and you too can function at the natural genius level that you were born with and that you were meant to experience.
It really is that easy.

Your brain will function better.
You'll have better memory, better concentration, better focus, better creativity, better absorption of information, better application, better mental modeling of new information.

Oh, and also your brain will function with greater duration of high performance, whereas in the past, maybe you only had four good hours of work in the morning, and after that, you lose concentration, you have to slam a bunch of coffee just to stay awake in the afternoon, and you're dead after 2 p.m.
I'm recording this at 1140 at night.
Yeah, it's almost midnight.
And I have put in, I don't know, a 16-hour day.
I've been at the lab.
I've been working on the robot.
I've been working on the mass spec.
I've been publishing content.
I've been recording podcasts all day.
I've been reviewing science headlines all day.
For me, this is a normal day of productivity, and I don't even want to go to bed because life is too exciting to turn in.
Life is amazing when you're living on superfoods.
And you're avoiding toxic chemicals and toxic heavy metals.
