Well, today is the day, my friends.
I'm introducing Native Hemp Solutions.
You can find it at NativeHempSolutions.com.
This is the world's first mass-spec, validated, scientifically verified hemp extract with naturally occurring cannabinoids, including cannabidiol, CBD, and cannabidiolic acid, CBD-A, plus trace, very, very trace, low amounts of THC and THC-A, which is a carboxylic acid form of THC, Plus CBG, CBN, and so on, a few other minor little molecules.
Anyway, the brand is called Native Hemp Solutions.
I've been working for over eight months to develop this breakthrough scientific method to accurately quantify, as people say in our lab, we say quantitate the molecules of interest in hemp extracts.
And I led the development team that created this new method, which is a mass spec time-of-flight method.
In Geek Talk, it is an LCMSTOF method.
That's a liquid chromatography mass spec time-of-flight method.
And it is orders of magnitude more sensitive than any of the methods that have been used by traditional labs in the hemp industry, which are all using HPLC, which stands for Well, either high performance or high pressure liquid chromatography.
It's very, very limited.
It uses a UV detector.
It doesn't discriminate based on mass.
It's very limited.
So my method does mass discrimination or accurate mass detection plus retention time plus ion fragmentation, which is a fingerprinting technology that fingerprints the composition of each molecule so we can tell if it is exactly CBD or CBDA or something else.
Plus we use isotopic ratio analysis as well, which looks at the carbon-12, the carbon-13 ratios of those elements inside the molecules.
Now, I don't mean to get too technical or too geeky.
I'm just trying to give you a glimpse of the work that went into this.
The bottom line for you is that now there is a hemp extract product that you can trust.
And it's called Native Hemp Solutions.
You can find it at NativeHempSolutions.com.
I did all the underlying science behind this product, and I would not allow it to be released until I confirmed and authenticated everything about this product, the potency, the concentrations, the ratios, the CBDA versus CBD, the very low THC, and so on and so forth.
Heavy metals analysis, of course, we did that as well using ICP-MS. And you probably, or hopefully you know, that my lab, cwclabs.com, is an internationally accredited ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.
So this is, you know, none of this is a joke.
This is not...
This is not some guys in a basement, which I've seen out there in the industry.
A couple of guys in a basement with a chromatography system thinking they know what they're doing and they don't.
Even labs that have been around 20 or 30 years that think they know what they're doing and I talk to them on the phone and they don't.
They're totally clueless.
I was shocked, by the way, when I got into the science on all this and I realized that it took me less than a year to become...
The leading science team in hemp analysis in the entire industry.
And why is that?
And I think it's because I don't have that whole history of academia and doing things the old way and doing things a certain way.
I'm not stuck in a box, you know?
I came at this problem and said...
Let's use a mass spec analysis with all of the molecular authentication technologies that are available to us today.
Ion fragmentation and so on.
Let's apply the best of the best.
Let's get the best equipment.
So we spent, I think, I don't know, $400,000 on the time of flight system and everything that goes with it.
I mean, there's automated liquid handling systems and there's, of course, a chromatography front end and there's all kinds of different columns.
And we went through a lot of method development on this.
I mean, it took a very long time.
I spent many late nights and long nights and weekends and holidays working on this method.
A lot of money, a lot of time.
But I wanted to, I was dedicated to doing this right and having a breakthrough method that wasn't limited by all of the failures and problems with the old science methods.
So I don't have a PhD, which is a damn good thing because the PhDs are stuck doing it the old way.
You'll find that.
I mean, I found that in the science community.
I'm not slamming everybody with a PhD.
There are a lot of brilliant PhDs, and I know quite a few.
But in many cases, having a PhD kind of means you're locked into the way you were taught at your university.
People running GC or LC or mass spec systems, and they do it the way they were taught to do it, which isn't the way that is best.
It's sort of like they're using technology from decades ago.
They're doing it the way it was done in the 1970s.
And they're trying to apply 1970s methodologies to modern day, 2016.
And I'm sitting there going, whoa, what is wrong?
Join the modern world, people!
And so, since my background is in technology, I just said, let's take the best technology and apply it to this.
So that's where all this comes from.
That's the science explanation behind it.
Now, this product is grown in Colorado, which probably doesn't surprise you.
It's extracted in Colorado.
We partnered with the EnerHealth Company for this new brand called Native Hemp Solutions.
And it's a very special extract.
It's a spagyric extract, which is a term you may be familiar with from the world of medicinal herbs.
Spagyric extract means that after extracting the constituents that you're looking for, that you want, using typically alcohol, sometimes water, sometimes vinegar, you then, you burn the resulting mass, the leftover mass, I should say, you burn it down to an ash, which preserves the minerals, because, of course, minerals don't go away when you burn something, it just turns to ash, which is the mineral composition, typically.
And then you take those minerals and you put them back into the product.
They're redissolved back into the final solution.
So you still have the minerals of the plant, which many people believe...
It accentuates the bioavailability of certain constituents of the plant.
I can't tell you scientifically that we have tested that because that term bioavailability is a very nebulous, very difficult term.
You have to do clinical studies with blood analysis and urine analysis and so on.
And we don't do that kind of stuff.
We do composition analysis of liquids and food and supplements and that kind of thing.
So I can't tell you I can't make a claim that it increases the bioavailability, but it definitely represents the full mineralization of the original plant.
So it's a more holistic extract, for sure.
It's a more complete, or you might say a more synergistic combination of the active constituents of the plant that were extracted, plus...
The core minerals, both the macro minerals and the trace minerals, and remember the extract also is pulling out things beyond just CBD and CBDA. It's also pulling out many, many other chemicals from the plant, natural, like chlorophyll, for example.
Plants synthesize their own vitamins.
They synthesize all kinds of molecules and terpenes and so on.
And that is fully represented in this extract.
So it's a full potency extract.
I should say a full plant extract.
It's not an isolate.
It's not synthetic.
There's nothing synthetic in it at all.
It is a little bit of alcohol, which is organic alcohol, and a little bit of, well, coconut oil or MCT oil is the base of it.
And into that is dissolved the hemp extract that is laboratory validated for its authenticity and composition.
So that's really what is in this product.
Now, you can find it at nativehemsolutions.com.
So, soon we'll be publishing the scientific analysis lot by lot on cwclabs.com.
So you can actually buy a bottle of this.
You can look at the lot number on it.
And you can go to cwclabs.com.
You'll be able to enter the lot number or just see a list of all the lot numbers.
You can click on that and view the actual tested composition for that production lot.
Now that is accountability.
That means that you know the bottle that you have in your hand corresponds to this particular composition that we have listed on the website with our accredited laboratory analysis.
I don't know that anybody else is doing that.
In fact, I don't even know anybody else in the industry that's using a mass spec method at all, period.
I've never even heard of anybody doing that.
They're all still using HPLC. Okay.
You know, UV detectors, which can easily be fooled, by the way.
They can sell you counterfeit product and not even know it because they got the peaks on the HPLC, and they thought, oh, that's CBD. Well, guess what?
It may not be.
It could be something totally different that was spiked in there to trick you.
I mean, it's not even difficult to do that.
It's easy.
It's easy to trick an HPLC. It's almost impossible to trick an LC-MS time-of-flight system like I'm using.
Almost impossible.
In fact, I would say it is.
I mean, by the time you do all the different analyses, methods on it, you know, the ion fragmentation and so on, I don't think you can really fool it.
I don't think you can trick it.
So in any case...
I can't describe to you, you know, regulatory bodies in America, they prohibit me from, of course, making any kind of medical claims or disease treatment claims or anything like that, and that's not where I'm coming from at all on this, so you're not going to hear me make such claims.
What I am claiming is the composition of this product is authentic, it is verified, it is scientifically valid.
And I openly invite anyone, including the FDA, to take this product and conduct its own tests and validate the label claims that we have in terms of its composition, because you're not going to find it to be counterfeit.
You're not going to find the labels lying about anything.
In fact, if any lab tests this and they get results different from what we get, it's probably because they're using the old technology, HPLC, which tends to, by the way, overestimate The CBD concentration in a product.
So typically, if another lab out there took our product and tested it, and if we were showing, let's say, 2% CBD, they might show 2.5 or 3% CBD because they're not as exact as we are.
And similarly, when I test other brands off the shelf very frequently, I find that the actual numbers are far lower than what they're claiming on their labels.
So keep that in mind.
If you're shopping around for hemp extracts and you're trying to compare apples to apples, just understand that the label claims that are made by a lot of other companies are not accurate.
They overestimate the CBD by a considerable amount.
Why is that?
Because they're using just liquid chromatography, which suffers from a problem called a coelution of targeted analytes.
For example, CBG will tend to coelute With CBD. In other words, they come out of the column at the same time and they create an aggregate peak, which is the peak size and shape or integration is the total of CBD plus CBG. And then that is misread by the analyst into thinking that's all CBD. So they'll overestimate the CBD. It's very, very common.
I mean, incredibly common.
I've seen this time and time again.
But if you're able to conduct mass discrimination using accurate mass, which I can do on the time of flight mass spec system, you filter out the CBG and then you leave behind just the CBD and then you quantitate that.
And that gives you a more accurate but lower number, which is what we use.
So we're actually using far more accurate but more conservative numbers for our label claims.
But by the way, our chemistry is so good after months and months of method development, we don't even have the problem of CBG coeluding with CBD anyway.
We've already achieved time discrimination in terms of the retention times of these analytes as they're coming off the chromatography column.
What it means is that even if...
I mean, we've solved that problem in so many different ways.
We can separate it by time, we can separate it by mass, and then we can conduct the authentication, ion fragmentation, isotopic analysis, and so on.
So we have so many ways that we've authenticated this.
There is a 0% chance that you're buying counterfeit when you buy native hemp solutions.
It is 100% authentic, without question.
Guaranteed.
Guaranteed.
Challenge anyone.
Test it.
Do your best.
Test it.
It's all there.
Everything is there.
It's the real deal.
Let's see.
So what else can I tell you about this?
We've got a few flavors.
Coconut vanilla is the current popular flavor.
And then there's unflavored for those who don't want coconut vanilla.
I like coconut vanilla personally.
Unflavored is fine.
If you don't like vanilla...
But coconut vanilla is by far the best.
The flavor of this is pretty intense, so be ready to chase it with something like water or something else that you're drinking.
Also, I always encourage people to work with a qualified naturopathic physician.
With all of your health concerns, if you are buying this product because you have a particular health challenge or a health goal or a health concern, I always say don't try to self-diagnose or self-treat.
Get some professional help with your challenge, whatever it may be.
Your health challenge?
Because a qualified naturopath can help you get a bigger picture of everything, and they can also order some other diagnostic tests and maybe get a better diagnosis.
I'm always against, by the way, This idea of just trying to solve a problem by throwing some herb at it.
You know, I'm really against that.
So just as an example, there are people out there who will talk about, well, they have cancer and they want to treat their cancer with some herb.
Like, I don't know what would be an answer.
Like, let's say, turmeric.
Right?
So they have cancer, they want to treat their cancer.
Or reishi mushrooms.
Let's use mushrooms as an example.
And so they'll just go out and start buying all these mushrooms and chugging mushrooms and thinking, I'm treating my cancer.
But then they don't realize every morning for breakfast they're eating cancer because they're eating bacon with sodium nitrite in it or they're eating, you know, what other sugars, you know, crap jelly and white bread toast or whatever.
And so they're eating cancer every morning and they're putting cancer on their face with the cosmetics and the deodorants with aluminum in them and all the hair product and all the gross fragrance chemicals in their laundry detergent.
They're washing their clothes in Tide.
Which is highly toxic, and then they're putting that stuff on their skin, and they're absorbing all those chemicals.
And then they're saying, oh, I have cancer, I better treat it with mushrooms.
No, dude, you need to stop eating cancer.
You need to clean up your life.
And then, yeah, you can support yourself.
Find a naturopath who can help support you with some strategic choices in terms of natural medicine and nutritional changes and perhaps vitamin D and lifestyle changes and exercise and all these things.
Don't just try to throw some herb at your problem and think that you got it nailed.
It doesn't work that way.
Most of the diseases that people are dealing with, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's, kidney disorders, liver disorders, almost every case, it's things that people are doing to themselves every single day.
And they don't even know it.
And then they try this, what we call green allopathy.
They just start chucking vitamins at it or herbs at it or minerals at it, trying to solve that problem.
And they don't realize they are recreating the problem every day.
So...
I don't want anybody to look at native hemp solutions as a miracle, magic bullet, whatever.
No, it isn't.
It is a full plant extract.
It does come from a plant that is phenomenal.
But it's something that has to be, I believe, used wisely in consultation with a health professional, a health practitioner, preferably a holistic health practitioner who can give you a big, big picture strategy for achieving your particular health goals. big picture strategy for achieving your particular health goals.
So I do want to say that on the record.
And I know that I don't sound like a salesman on this, too.
I sound like a very kind of a precautionary scientist, which is exactly what I am.
We should always be cautious.
We should always be wise and informed in the things that we buy and consume.
We should know how they fit into the bigger picture.
And we should do our research and understand, and also have a sense of what it's doing for us.
We should be in touch with our own bodies and our own moods and our own metabolism, and then when we try new things, be able to sense what is that doing for us.
How do we feel differently?
Are we making progress or is something not having the outcome that we wish?
These are the kinds of skills and self-awareness that's necessary to overcome disease.
Even if you've got the best and cleanest products in the world, whether you're taking a mushroom extract or a turmeric extract or what have you, if you don't have that sense of self-awareness of where you're going and have a goal in mind of where you want to be, then you're probably not going to get there.
So don't fall for magic bullet solutions.
Don't fall for overnight solutions.
Don't fall for miracle anti-cancer pills or whatever.
And don't fall for chemotherapy either.
Every health goal takes time to achieve, and it usually takes a full assortment of solutions to bring that about.
All right, so back to Native Hemp Solutions.
It is a hemp extract.
It is a full-spectrum hemp extract.
It is honestly labeled, and it is honestly formulated and manufactured.
