Health Freedom: Michael Snyder running for Congress

Welcome everyone to Today we have a special treat.
We have Michael Snyder in the studio here in Austin, Texas.
This is Mike Adams, the Health Ranger of Natural News, and I've admired the work of Michael Snyder for many years.
He's been one of the most prolific and observant writers of liberty and conservatism and really just sort of exposing the problems of corruption in government for many years.
He's done that at his website, TheEconomicCollapseBlog.com, which we have quoted probably hundreds of times.
Now he's running for Congress in Idaho and he has a good shot of winning it and he needs your support.
He's here to tell us why you should support his campaign and what he's going to do if he wins and goes to Washington, D.C. to help, you know, drain the swamp or however he says it.
So welcome, Michael.
It's great to have you in studio.
Thank you, Mike.
I've also been a follower of your work for many, many years.
Big fan.
You do such a great job encouraging people to find natural health solutions, warning about vaccines and everything else.
I know we're going to talk about those things today.
So I'm so thrilled to be here with you today to talk about these things.
Yeah, I'm running for Congress in Idaho, and people say, well, why should I pay attention to a race up in Idaho?
It's not where I live.
But at the end of the day, we want to get people that believe in the things we do into Congress, into positions of power in state houses, local level, all over the nation to start making a difference.
Yeah, you can make a big difference there.
Just like Rand Paul is making a big difference on many issues, even though he doesn't represent everybody in the country.
But sometimes he can inject topics.
And you have a lot of beliefs.
You share a lot of liberty-oriented beliefs with Rand Paul.
But tell us, because our audience is not...
Straight Republican or straight Democrat.
Mostly they're independent thinkers who happen to sort of, they all generally support liberty.
But tell us sort of your philosophy and why you think natural news readers would like what you're going to do in Washington, D.C. Yeah, well, back when Ron Paul was running for president, it really woke me up to, you know, so much of the corruption, so many of the changes we need to make in this country.
And it was about the time I started writing.
Back in about 2007, 2008, I started.
I was starting to write, and it was kind of the rise of the alternative media, which we're both a part of.
And so we've been fighting, along with people like Alex Jones, Infowars.com, and so many others, For so many years, fighting for liberty and freedom.
And I thought that's what I would be doing for many years to come, just writing from the outside.
But then along comes Donald Trump.
And Donald Trump, he starts running for president.
And I didn't think he had a chance, you know?
The whole Republican establishment was against him.
I thought they were going to crush him.
But Donald Trump beat them all, won the nomination.
Then he gets to the general election.
And it's a Hillary Clinton with more than a billion dollars.
You have the whole mainstream media and Hollywood and the intellectual elite.
And still the Republicans, the Never Trumpers, were still against them.
I thought, no way, Donald Trump.
I love Donald Trump.
I want him to win, but no way he can do this.
But he proved me wrong, and he won.
And in the process, he helped restore faith.
In America to me, because he showed if we work together, if we fight, that literally anything is possible.
So I believe we have a window to potentially take our government back.
And that's what I want to try to do.
I want to go to Washington.
I want to fight for the things we've been fighting for so long.
I want to fight against the vaccine industry.
I want to fight against GMOs.
I want to fight against the Federal Reserve.
And all the things that the liberty movement is for, that's what I want to go to Washington and fight for.
Alright, now, a tough question for you.
Donald Trump even spoke out against vaccine dangers, and I think he was talking to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
at the World Mercury Project about even doing maybe some research on the toxicity of vaccines to eliminate mercury from vaccines and so on.
But that's gone nowhere because Trump has been just under assault the whole time.
And I don't think Trump's really taking a position on GMOs, although he seems to be pro-organic in some ways.
Nevertheless, the question to you is, suppose you win the election, you go to Washington, the first day you raise the issue of making vaccines safer, let's say, you are going to be assaulted.
By every, you know, the CDC is going to come after you.
CNN is going to come after you.
They're going to call you a child-killing wacko, even though it's their vaccines that are killing children and causing spontaneous abortions and hurting pregnant women because the vaccines are unsafe with the metals that they have in them.
They could make them safer, but they refuse to.
How, I mean, you would be under so much attack.
How could you possibly, just asking you as a realistic question, how could you hope to change anything from the inside, even if you're there?
Well, as one member of Congress, you can make somewhat of a difference.
Look at a Ron Paul or a Rand Paul or along those lines, where you can go to Congress, you can expose, you can raise the issues, you can spread awareness, you can educate, you can bang the drum.
And if I go to D.C., I mean, Mike, you know what I stand for.
I'm very rapidly going to become the most hated member of the House of Representatives by the mainstream media.
I understand that in advance.
And it's going to be going into a war zone.
And they're going to hate me.
They're going to throw everything they have at me.
And I understand that.
And by the grace of God, we could get through that.
I could never do that on my own, but by the grace of God.
But we're not going to Washington to be part of the club.
We're not going there to be accepted or to make friends with anyone else.
We're going there to fight for the things that we believe in.
And so ultimately, in order to get everything that we want, we're going to have to get more like-minded people with us in Washington.
And we're actually promoting several dozen people around the nation that would make great members of Congress.
We're actually working with about seven members that are running for the state legislature in Idaho, trying to get them into the state house in Boise to try to change Boise.
So it's a team effort.
Rome wasn't built in a day.
It's going to be a process.
We're not going to get there overnight.
But we do need leaders there, at least initially, to point the way where we should go, saying, this is what we need to do, this is how we're going to get there, and it's not going to happen overnight.
Well, I'm glad that you have this attitude of knowing that you're going to be targeted the minute you get there, because that is very realistic, like Rand Paul knows, by the way.
I mean, they tried to kill Rand Paul.
I mean, the Democrats sent a crazy psycho with a rifle and shot Scalise, almost killed him, and tried to kill Rand Paul.
They'll be gunning for you, and I don't mean that figuratively.
I mean, literally, they will try to kill you if you challenge the status quo.
Are you seriously prepared for that?
Well, my wife and I have talked about that, because when that crazy guy with the gun went out to that baseball field and started, he literally wanted to kill as many Republican members of Congress as possible.
Yeah, that was his goal.
That was his goal.
There are people there who could ultimately shoot back and prevented a great tragedy.
But this is the environment we're living in today, where we're so divided as a nation.
There's so much anger on both sides, but particularly on the left, where you have like Antifa, where they openly embrace violence.
In this type of environment, You know, we believe that the Lord is leading us in this direction and that he'll protect us to do what he intends for us to do.
But we realize the dangers.
We realize and we're always aware of that.
And when we travel, we're prepared to and we're armed, let's just say, to deal with whatever we need to deal with.
But if we're going to take this nation back, we've got to be willing to take a stand and put ourselves on the line, because look at our founding fathers.
My wife and I have been watching a series about John Adams, and our founding fathers put everything on the line.
They did.
Their lives, their livelihoods, their families, their future, their business, everything.
If they wouldn't have succeeded, many of them would have been hanged publicly.
But they put everything on the line, and because they did, the United States of America exists today.
And so we've got to have that same kind of passion, because today we're at such a critical moment in our history, Mike, where we could go either way.
We could go down the road toward socialism, toward tyranny, toward a dystopian nightmare.
We could lose America, and we could lose America in this generation if we don't fight.
Or we could move toward restoring the Constitution, liberty, freedom, the values that we share.
We can move that direction.
And the Trump presidency has kind of given us a window to try to take our government back.
Now, I believe it's a narrow window.
We've got to act now.
I agree.
If we wait, if we don't act till later, it might be too late.
We might lose America forever.
Well, it seems like we've almost lost the country already.
Look at all the institutions that have been taken over by now.
Literally, communist-leaning influences.
The universities.
The public school system, the media, Hollywood, and much of Washington, D.C., which is really a cesspool of corruption and just big government waste and abuse and fraud and everything else.
You're going to feel like you're visiting an alien world if you set foot in that place.
You know, because you're a decent, hardworking guy.
You live out in Idaho.
You know, you're used to the real world.
Your friends are real world people.
You probably know ranchers and workers and all kinds of real people.
Washington is an alien landscape.
They've never seen Idaho, for the most part.
Oh, it's very true.
And you talk about the deep state and the establishment, which has been in control of Washington for decades, whether the Republicans or the Democrats.
You know, they're called the uniparty.
And they've been used to being totally in control of what goes on in Washington forever.
Now here comes Donald Trump.
He's kind of the great disruptor.
And I kind of liken it to like a military scenario where Donald Trump has hit the beach.
He's under heavy fire, but he's created a beachhead.
Now he needs some backup.
He needs some support.
He needs some friends in Washington.
He needs us to rally to his cause because he's under constant fire from the media, from the Democrats, from Republicans.
But this is our opportunity to try to take the federal government back.
Now, you know, I've already said that, you know, I'd come to the conclusion a number of years ago that, man, it'll never be possible.
We'll never do it.
And if Hillary Clinton had won the last presidential election...
It would have been over.
It would have been over.
But Trump, it was the greatest miracle in the history of American politics, getting Donald Trump into the White House.
So now it's an opportunity.
And kind of, you know, it's kind of like a foreign entity has invaded the host there in Washington.
And they're trying to do whatever they can to eject Donald Trump, get him out of the system.
Because it's like, what in the world is going on?
We've got to get this foreign entity out of our system and get things back to normal.
Of course, it just won't go back to normal.
But if our movement fails, this little flame of liberty that's erupted, and of course Donald Trump is not perfect, but you know what?
I think he wants to do the right thing.
He's fighting the establishment, and he set forth an agenda that the American people believe in.
And so he's created something, a little flame of liberty, and if the establishment can put that flame out, Then they're going to try as hard as they can to make sure another Trump never happens again.
And then once they're done with Trump, they're going to come after you.
They're going to come after me.
We've already seen in the tech world, in the online social media, where they're censoring us.
They're trying to crack down already.
And if they put out this flame, it's not going to go well for people like us.
Well, it's clear that Trump is being effective.
Otherwise, they wouldn't be trying to destroy him.
Because he is disrupting, as you said, he's the great disruptor.
He's draining the swamp.
He's basically ripping apart that network of corruption and collusion that Washington has become.
It's a cesspool of waste and abuse and fraud.
But for those who resonate with your message, let's wrap this up.

People can donate to your campaign, I guess, from anywhere?
Yeah, anywhere in the country.

We've already got hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of donations from all over the nation.
People that love liberty and love freedom, love my work, love what we're trying to do.
But we're competing against the guys that have PACs, people writing the max, no donations for them.
So even though we have the most donations by far, a couple of other guys I'm running against have raised a little bit more money because they're getting the huge checks.
So we're in a very, very tight race, Mike.
It literally could go either way.
As we sit here today, two-thirds of the voters in my district are completely undecided.
There are six people running.
There's no incumbent because Raul Labrador is moving on to run for governor.
So no incumbent, six-way race, super close, super tight.
Our numbers are actually trending up or passing some of the other candidates.
We're right near the top, but it's very, very close.
You got a realistic shot at this.
This is a very, very winnable race.
It's going to be decided between now and May 15th, just a very limited period of time.
We're going to work 24 hours a day, but we can't do it alone.
We need help.
