We have in this country one of the greatest anachronisms of all time, and that is the notion of, and I love this, educational system.
Educational system.
We don't have an educational system at all.
We have an indoctrination system.
We have these places where parents spend Hundreds of thousands of dollars to get a degree, which soon will mean nothing.
And Sunday night, on the 60 Minutes, they talked about the University of Austin in Texas and how there's this new way of teaching kids critical thinking and the like, and I'm telling you, this is all a product of the Trump-Elon-MAGA revolution.
We have in this country people who are not, not only bereft and devoid and absent, Historical perspective and the like, but they are also devoid of the ability to critically think, to put things into order, into a linear progression.
IRAC, I-R-A-C, issue, rule, analysis, conclusion.
It's an old law school blue book technique.
People don't understand how to think.
What they're doing is they're looking at this particular case and they're saying, well, because of Barry Weiss is on there or Bill Ackman, well, I don't want to listen to them because I don't like what they're Zionists and we don't...
You see?
This is what we do today.
This is this internet scrum.
I don't want to hear them because I don't like what they have to say about Israel.
What?
What does that have to do with you?
I don't like Marty McCary because Marty McCary for the Trump administration because he said something about he said, he's a doctor at Johns Hopkins he said something about giving vaccines to pregnant women saying, what are you, an expert?
Oh, I'm an expert.
Oh, yeah.
I know all about vaccines.
I got my internet degree.
I know about medicine, vaccines, everything.
I'm an expert.
I'm an expert in everything.
Okay, fine.
It's ridiculous.
There's a woman who's Surgeon General?
Well, she's a vaxxer.
Would you shut up?
Same thing with Bobby Kennedy.
Well, forget him because Bobby Kennedy is an anti-vaxxer.
He's not an anti-vaxxer.
Do you understand that a person can hold an idea that you find disgusting?
For example, I am irreligious.
I am somebody who does not really believe in any kind of a faith system that you would recognize.
I and the Dalai Lama are on the same pathway.
And the Jainians and Hindus.
We don't believe in a theology, the notion of a creator.
We don't believe in that.
I don't believe in it the same way I don't speak French.
I don't disabuse myself of French.
I don't say French is gibberish.
I just say I don't understand French and I don't understand it.
And I don't understand what this religious stuff is either.
I don't stop listening to somebody because they're religious.
When I hear people always talk about God, this and God, that, and I see on YouTube, Ex Leviticus, and the book of Phallatia, and Jebediah, and Ezekiel 2.14 says, What?
I don't just eliminate what they think because I disagree with that particular aspect of their total intellectual matrix?
No!
So why do people do that now?
Because they don't know how to critically think.
Because they don't know how to critically think.
That's what it's about.
That's what I'm talking about.
Believe me what I'm telling you.
We need so much to completely blow up, figuratively, the educational system.
And have a system in this country where we decide one of two things.
You go here, and you go there.
You go here to college, You're intellectually gifted, you're intellectually prone, you're intellectually inclined, you're academically whatever, you go this way.
And you go this way.
Because you're not going to go to college or for whatever reason you should learn a trade or a design or something to make money, something where you can live.
And do something maybe that you like.
Maybe you are more interested in...
In culinary arts, or music, or construction, or something else.
This is what you're going to end up doing.
You're not going to get a communications degree from Wesleyan.
No!
We have to stop this.
And more importantly, what we need to do, you're going to love this one, college is wasted on the young.
There are some things that you simply are too young to understand.
Not because you're too young.
I just said that.
But because you're not able yet to appreciate it by virtue of the fact that you haven't had the experience yet.
Not that you're not smart.
You're smart.
But people in my generation know things a little bit better because we've been through things.
We have experienced things.
We know what people have done to us.
We're better at judgment.
Let me give you an example.
Years ago there was a study I read about where they had...
Younger people do this game.
It's kind of like whack-a-mole.
They're very, very good.
You see kids on phones.
I never did this.
I never learned this.
I dictate.
I'm a dictator all the time.
I'm a dictator.
I shouldn't do that.
Anyway, so they were very good at doing these very quick gestures and motions and tasks.
Things that involved celerity and kind of acuity and, you know.
Then, the other group, and by the way, they did better than older people in that sample.
The other task was looking at two things and finding out which one's different than the other.
And older people said, oh, this one's different.
Why?
Well, that vase is missing.
Remember highlights?
Remember when you went to a doctor's office, they had that highlights magazine, and you were bored, and they would show two pictures, and there's a cat here.
Anyway, so older people were very good at noticing the differences between two situations.
And the reason why they said that was because that was illustrative of their ability to separate and to differentiate between situations, and that is called, wait for it, judgment.
That's what codgers had.
Judgment.
Maybe experience.
Who knows why?
So there are certain things that we know.
There is no way that I, at the age of 18, could have really understood the ramifications of the Civil War.
There's no way.
I don't understand.
I'm 18 years old.
I'm in college.
It's nice.
It's a nice foundation.
So maybe we can give some people kind of like the rudimentary ingredients of knowledge, but later on, in order for you to...
Let the concrete set, so to speak.
You have to be older.
That's why education has got to be a lifelong process.
And what you're doing right now, what you're watching, is the best theater for education and learning there is.
YouTube, internet, streaming.
It's the greatest thing in the world.
It's the greatest thing in the world.
And unfortunately, for reasons I will never understand, it is completely and utterly forgotten.
So it's time for us to destroy, get rid of, and just deconstruct.
This educational system, starting with liberal arts, Ivy League schools.
What a waste of time.
Look at what you've done, what hath God wrought.
All right, my friends, have a great and glorious day.
