[00:01:39] He's stupid. [00:01:40] They're stupid. [00:01:40] It's stupid. [00:01:41] The idea is stupid. [00:01:42] Policy is stupid. [00:01:43] The commercial is stupid. [00:01:44] But it really makes a lot of sense to me. [00:01:49] And there's something valuable about stupid. [00:01:53] Stupid is the comfort food for thinking. [00:01:55] It's the junk food for thinking. [00:01:57] It's something that doesn't involve a lot of depth. [00:02:01] And what Americans in particular really like that's stupid is a Manichaean, very black and white, good versus evil, simplistic Distinction and collection of ideas and thoughts. [00:02:16] Does that make sense to you? [00:02:17] I hope it does. [00:02:21] I was watching a cable news program as much as I possibly can. [00:02:26] And it was a conservative one. [00:02:27] And I can't watch it because it doesn't capture the essence and the nuance. [00:02:35] Take any particular subject. [00:02:37] Israel, Gaza. [00:02:39] Good or bad? [00:02:40] Good guys, bad guys? [00:02:41] You want to try that? [00:02:42] You want to tackle that? [00:02:43] You want to tell me who the good guys and the bad guys are? [00:02:47] And I know most people say, well, of course. [00:02:50] Of course. [00:02:52] The good guys are Israel. [00:02:54] The bad guys are Gazans, Palestinians, because they're really Hamas, and they're the bad guys, and there's terrorism, and that's it. [00:03:00] The other ones say, oh, no, no, no. [00:03:01] No, no, no. [00:03:02] The bad guys are Israel because, after all, this is genocide, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing. [00:03:07] They're the bad ones. [00:03:08] They're it. [00:03:12] They're just wrong. [00:03:13] That's it. [00:03:15] Since 1948, it's wrong. [00:03:17] And there's no empathic anything. [00:03:23] You see, if I program that, I'm not going to work on TV. [00:03:28] Nobody's going to want to hear what I have to say. [00:03:31] Because you see, cable news is the very reason why the country is as stupid as it appears. [00:03:43] Because cable news acts as a mirror, a reflector, a stage. [00:03:50] It promotes, and by the way... [00:03:53] Cable news in particular. [00:03:56] This is supposed to be the highest level of consideration and thought entertainment there is. [00:04:06] Cable news. [00:04:09] Cable news was really changed wonderfully by a man named Roger Ailes, who said one of the greatest things ever. [00:04:17] I believe he said this. [00:04:18] I've always attributed it to him, so if he didn't, forgive me. [00:04:21] But they asked the question, do you think that journalist should be licensed? [00:04:25] And he said, you only need licensed to cut hair. [00:04:27] And what Roger Ailes did was, he gave people the news source to hear what they want to hear. [00:04:35] Do you want to hear any nuanced reports of Trump not on Fox News? [00:04:40] Or the soon-to-be-perhaps-defunct Newsmax or any of the others? [00:04:46] There really aren't any others, but... [00:04:48] Do you really want to hear a Lex Friedman version on particle physics or string theory? [00:04:54] No. [00:04:55] Not on cable news. [00:04:56] Do you want to hear a Joe Rogan look at antiquities or perhaps alien... [00:05:02] No. [00:05:06] Give us a minute. [00:05:08] Give me a couch. [00:05:09] Give me four people. [00:05:11] Give me a bunch of syrupy, stupid, goofy, saccharine... [00:05:16] Anodyne, harmless individuals who wave flags just in some kind of weird vexillology fetish, who only understand the world as seen through a country music song from the 80s. [00:05:35] Very simple. [00:05:36] My country, my flag, my truck. [00:05:39] That's it. [00:05:40] Very simple. [00:05:41] Very simple. [00:05:43] And when it comes to left versions of cable news, oh, it's even worse, if you can believe it. [00:05:49] See, in that particular way, they don't even have, at least, say what you want about the right, they have their labels. [00:05:56] They have their messages. [00:05:58] They have a lot of their stuff. [00:06:00] They really do. [00:06:01] They believe in things like good, well, I shouldn't say that. [00:06:07] They really don't. [00:06:09] Oh, abortion. [00:06:10] They love abortion. [00:06:12] And, um... [00:06:14] *clicks* [00:06:17] Sort of open borders. [00:06:18] They really don't believe anything. [00:06:20] I think there's two things the left believes in. [00:06:25] As is exemplified and as is promoted on really stupid cable news. [00:06:31] Abortion, of course, and hating Trump. [00:06:34] They live by hating Trump. [00:06:38] If you opened up a store, That had a name, let's say. [00:06:45] The store's name would be We Don't Have Baloney. [00:06:53] And you said, well, I wasn't looking for baloney, but what do you have? [00:06:57] We don't have baloney. [00:06:59] Okay. [00:07:00] That's their place. [00:07:01] We hate Trump. [00:07:02] Okay. [00:07:03] What do you love? [00:07:04] What do we love? [00:07:04] We love to hate Trump. [00:07:06] But aside from, we're not going to vote for Trump, but tell me something. [00:07:10] What do you believe in? [00:07:13] Not Trump. [00:07:15] Not baloney. [00:07:17] It doesn't make any sense. [00:07:19] They exist merely by not being Trump. [00:07:25] Oh, and abortion. [00:07:27] They love abortion. [00:07:28] At least they say they do. [00:07:30] They're under the impression that somehow, The Constitution guarantees abortion. [00:07:37] Now, believe it or not, it's not Roe. [00:07:39] It was actually Casey. [00:07:41] And Dobbs put an end to that, which it should have because the Constitution never guarantees abortion. [00:07:47] But if you want abortion, stay in your state! [00:07:50] There's nothing that anybody can do to prevent a state from guaranteeing abortion. [00:07:56] Nothing. [00:07:58] Nothing. [00:08:00] And there's nothing, I mean, would you prefer a constitutional amendment that guarantees the denial of abortion rights? [00:08:09] Of course not. [00:08:10] But that's it. [00:08:10] So that's the left. [00:08:12] Abortion and hating Trump. [00:08:13] And the right, well, the right, their menu is a little bit fuller. [00:08:20] Crime, border, taxes, family, you know. [00:08:26] I've got to tell you something. [00:08:27] And the reason why they have so much to say is because so much of the aforementioned have been destroyed by the left. [00:08:35] So you see, if we could somehow take away cable news completely and force people to watch platforms that talk about a subject more than a minute by four jadrools sitting around on a couch yucking it up, the world would be a better place. === Please Hit That Bell (00:28) === [00:08:53] But that would require thinking, And have a lifting? [00:08:57] And speaking anything but stupid, which some people have a black belt in. [00:09:02] What do you think? [00:09:04] Please like the video. [00:09:05] Please subscribe to my channel.
