[00:01:31] First and foremost, this is not in any way meant to be sacrilegious or to insult anyone or to impugn or be disrespectful to any faith. [00:01:42] I want to ask a very serious question. [00:01:45] And you don't have to be a part of this if you don't want to, but based upon what you know and what you believe, would God vote Democratic or Republican? [00:01:54] What would God say? [00:01:57] Again, without being too anthropomorphic to the point of being disrespectful, and that's not my intention. [00:02:05] I believe God would say, I'm not crazy about your position on war. [00:02:10] I'm against war. [00:02:12] Point well taken. [00:02:14] Okay? [00:02:16] Let's talk about right to life, which is subsumed under the category of respect for life. [00:02:26] Respect life. [00:02:28] Okay? [00:02:29] Now that can get real tricky sometimes, but let's just go for the first one. [00:02:34] Let's talk about innocent life. [00:02:37] Let me let you fill in the blanks. [00:02:40] Innocent life. [00:02:44] You might be able to explain, you know, war might be construed as self-defense. [00:02:48] All right. [00:02:49] Okay. [00:02:50] All right. [00:02:51] All right. [00:02:52] Capital punishment. [00:02:54] Well, you know, that's a different one. [00:02:58] That's over there. [00:03:00] Because I believe there's a real... [00:03:01] There would be a real history as far as that goes. [00:03:06] But we'll leave that. [00:03:06] But let's talk about defense of the innocent. [00:03:11] What would that mean? [00:03:12] People... [00:03:13] Human beings who never necessarily contracted for extermination or expunction. [00:03:20] That would include perhaps euthanasia? [00:03:25] Would that be tough? [00:03:28] You know, the whole right to die? [00:03:31] I'm not sure about that. [00:03:36] Let me just think about that one. [00:03:39] Think about what would violate. [00:03:41] What do you think would be violative in terms of that? [00:03:46] Think about this. [00:03:46] This is more of a discussion. [00:03:48] What else? [00:03:50] Charity. [00:03:52] Helping the poor. [00:03:54] Which side? [00:03:57] Hmm. [00:03:58] Handouts? [00:03:59] Well, that might be charity. [00:04:01] This might be a tough one. [00:04:03] This might be one that I think the Democrats might be able to say, well... [00:04:08] I don't know. [00:04:09] I'm not sure because sometimes one could argue that certain forms of ostensible charity amounts to, in essence, enabling. [00:04:18] It's a different thing altogether. [00:04:20] Okay, what else is there? [00:04:21] Respect for family. [00:04:24] Respect for the institutions of family. [00:04:29] Pride. [00:04:31] Respecting parents. [00:04:33] Helping the elderly. [00:04:36] Charity, beneficence, kindness, helping, reaching out, reaching out to make the world, this place, better. [00:04:49] Charity, education, poetry, art, who helps more? [00:04:58] Not gratuitous help, actual help. [00:05:04] Who incorporates more the notion of religion into campaigning? [00:05:10] Who speaks more? [00:05:13] This is a hands down obvious. [00:05:16] Who speaks more as to the sanctity and the glory of religion, irrespective of which particular type? [00:05:24] And we can argue with that, but let's just be very, very generic. [00:05:28] Who? [00:05:30] Who? [00:05:32] You can always tell when you're in a Republican neighborhood. [00:05:38] You know how? [00:05:40] You know why? [00:05:41] American flags. [00:05:42] You don't see American flags on Democrats. [00:05:45] Lawns. [00:05:46] Isn't that something? [00:05:47] You see other flags, other signs, BLM, trust the science, you know, that kind of thing. [00:05:54] Hate doesn't belong here or something like that. [00:05:57] But it's very interesting. [00:05:58] But when it comes to God, when it comes to religion, when it comes to faith, you've got to ask yourself that question. [00:06:06] And I think the case could be made, irrespective of what you might believe, between Democrats and Republicans. [00:06:14] How do you think God would feel about certain things of the sanctity of identity? [00:06:20] How do you think God would handle things like, for example, just saying, Gender. [00:06:28] Gender that is determined by nature? [00:06:34] Birth? [00:06:35] How do you think that would work out? [00:06:41] How does God feel about the way we treat mentally ill? [00:06:48] What would God think about the way we handle charity in terms of health? [00:06:54] Health care. [00:06:55] Ooh, that could be tough. [00:06:57] That could be interesting. [00:06:58] That could be interesting. [00:07:00] When you add it all up, and you turn to, and again, please, do not think I'm being in any way blasphemous. [00:07:09] I am not, but it's an interesting thought experiment. [00:07:12] If the case were to be made, and you said, God, you have one case, one choice, Democrat or Republican, no libertarian, no noncommittal, no independent, which one would it be? [00:07:24] I think one could say, and the case could be made, without a doubt, not that it's perfect, not that this particular allegory or algorithm, this particular thought experiment is perfect, but I think the case could be made very, very, very clearly, very easily, that God is a Republican. === Put Your Thoughts Below (00:25) === [00:07:47] What do you think? [00:07:48] Does that make sense to you? [00:07:50] Does that make sense to you? [00:07:53] Think about it. [00:07:55] I want to know what you think. [00:07:56] Put your thoughts and comments below.
