I'm going to try to explain this.
I'm going to try to put this into perspective.
And I know that no matter how much I limit the particular area of discussion of this address, it will be misunderstood.
I know it.
I know it exactly.
I know it.
I'm used to it.
I've been doing this for a while.
I know how it works.
But here goes.
I didn't want to even comment on this, but I will, but not for what you think.
There is a story that is going on, and I only tell you this as an example.
It doesn't matter what the story is.
It doesn't mean that it's not important.
It doesn't mean that there might be some serious overtones.
There might be some emotional problems attendant to it.
Whatever.
Gee, there's something unique.
Emotional problems of people in our country.
Imagine that.
Wow!
Well, what's the word?
Unique.
Okay?
Now, Stephen Crowder is a very popular and famous podcaster, YouTuber, whatever you want to...
I don't know.
Whatever the particular word is.
Candace Owens, very popular commentator, streamer, whatever.
The story goes that for some particular reason, Stephen Crowder apparently had a meltdown, some fight with his wife.
A recording of this kerfuffle, this argument, was somehow released by someone else, and it appears upon first blush, upon initial inspection, that this is very troubling.
Everybody, he appears, whatever.
It doesn't matter.
That's not the point.
You can draw whatever you want from it.
Troubling?
Yes.
You're right, of course.
Yes.
Yes.
Through this, through this event, I don't know how, but he made the accusation.
He either intimated or accused directly or suggested that Candace Owens somehow was involved in extortion.
That's pretty serious because that's a criminal charge.
And there's this back and forth comment.
Okay.
Stop.
Stop right there.
That's all I want to talk about.
That's all I care about.
Please, I don't want anybody to get hurt.
I want there to be stability in the world.
I want there to be emotional clarity.
I want people to be happy.
I want marriages to be...
Okay.
Fine.
That's over there.
That's a given.
Okay?
That's not what I find interesting.
What I find interesting...
Is the amount of immediate social media pitchfork and torch kind of crowds that show up.
Now let me explain something.
You're going to say, well why are you talking about it?
I'm talking about the reaction, not the incident.
I'm not talking about what happened.
Who's right?
Who's wrong?
Who's at fault?
Who's exploiting this?
Who's trying to build metrics?
Who's...
No, no, no, no, no.
I'm talking about why this immediately inspires such across-the-board...
It's almost like a Higgs field.
It gives it mass.
All of a sudden, this has mass.
Now, I want to imagine this.
This is called a thought experiment.
Imagine I'm sitting next to somebody from another planet, another dimension, and I tell this person, let me explain to you what happened here.
Let me see if I can explain this to you.
Let me see if I can focus or point this out.
This is called low-hanging fruit.
Here are the variables.
Number one, childish, basic, base, Instinctual crowd, you know, hate, you know, glomming on.
Again, it's a Higgs field.
It's this creation of mass.
I mean, it's important, but in the scheme of things, which I'll get to in a moment, it's really not that important.
But look how, there it is.
It's easy to understand.
It's the chance for every And you know what?
It may work.
I may be the fool for not jumping on this more.
I just don't have that much interest in it.
Other than, not the event, but the reaction to the event.
So anyway, people jump on it because it's easy.
Low-hanging fruit.
Easy to digest.
It just kind of like, it satiates.
Hunger.
You don't have to think about anything.
And it's us versus them.
He's also, apparently, Mr. Crowder is a conservative firebrand.
And you have a lot of people from the left who, of course, are exacting revenge against him.
Same thing with Tucker.
The Tucker Carlson thing, that's gone off the rails.
That is so...
Beyond anything, I mean, people are looking at that as a referendum on woke versus, you know, sorrows, or I don't know what it is, versus something, and I've spoken far too much about this, a very simple corporate reason as to why that happened.
But anyway, so you have this reaction.
Now, here is what I would, Point to my friend now, my hypothetical extraterrestrial.
I said, look at all of the things in the world that are happening now.
And I'm going to show you.
I'm going to show you.
And I'll be able to look at this subject and I'll tell you right now what gets social media traction and what doesn't.
Remember, if there's any thinking involved, anything that involves turning a page, doing research on, Movement from your beanbag chair as you are covered in Cheeto dust.
You know, just swiping away anything that involves any amount of heft, movement, consideration, analysis, thinking, review, history.
Not interested.
This you can sit back and as long as you can just go like this and the entire subject is provided to you, you're fine.
Alright?
So there's the story.
You've got this guy, and you've got this one.
And you've got a waifu.
It's very troubling.
And there's all kinds of questions.
Why does he only have one car?
Oh my God.
Anyway, now, if I turn to my friend, my extraterrestrial, I'm going to say, now, let me show you these other stories.
Let's look at child predation, victimization.
Let's look at the world in probably what appears to be a...
The worst, not tenderhooks, certainly, but on the verge of a nuclear cataclysm, a great reset, a complete and total recalibration of...
No.
Stephen Crowder.
Because that has a ring video or whatever.
It's easy.
Now, let's talk about what is happening to, again, Russia-Ukraine, what's happening with that?
How about the positioning of NATO vis-à-vis Russian encirclement, post-Soviet, you know, positioning of NATO?
What would Kennan think?
Mearsheimer?
No.
Too many words.
It's that.
It's the wife who's pregnant yelling at this guy.
Wifely duties.
That's a big one.
That's it.
Easy.
Go like that, and it's easy.
It's simple.
It's like watching the Jersey Housewives.
This week, Jerry Springer died.
Jerry Springer gave us, not the introduction to this, but a kind of an amuse-bouche, kind of a sampling and hors d 'oeuvre as to what was happening, because Jerry gave us simple.
In fact, it was professional wrestling was Shakespearean high drama.
In the old days, compared to this.
Two people, Manichaean, left-right, two people clobbering each other.
And again, simple.
You can sit there in your beanbag chair.
You don't have to move.
You understand it completely.
That was a precursor.
That was kind of a tantalizing introduction as to what's happening.
And look at where we are right now.
There was a while back, and I will not go into the subject.
Somebody alerted me to it.
I'm not going to mention names.
But it's the first time I saw this.
It was the artificial concern, an artificial feigned discussion over kind of an influencer, kind of a person regarding a claim that was, I don't know what that was.
And it was meaningless.
But, because people could jump into the The Higgs field, grab mass, try to convert that later on into channel metrics and likes and views, which I understand that.
Listen, listen, if it bleeds, it leads.
I dig it.
You don't have to explain that one to me.
But that's not it.
It wasn't the fact that somebody exploited this.
It's the fact that there was something to exploit.
The fact that nobody is screaming about the fact that the world that we know, That people are worried about in terms of the climate, as they should, and global warming, and kind of a redux of the hypsy thermals and holocene maxima.
No, no, that's not important.
We'll talk about it kind of in general.
It's just kind of like that Greta Thunberg unidimensional tissue-thin synthetic layer concern.
But no, no, we're not talking about that.
It's too much work.
Give me something simple.
If I were to explain to you...
Climate concerns, you're bored.
Show you a polar bear huddling on an ice cube that used to be an iceberg, then you'll understand it.
When I mean you, not you, but I mean the royal you.
You see what I'm saying?
You see what I'm saying?
It's this, we have become, we're part of this weird kind of a cultural murmurations, these patterns of birds that fly en masse, you know?
In these very coordinated moves.
And if the story is simple enough, basic enough, easy enough, if it's easy, left, right, you know, good, bad, good guy, bad guy, Manichaean, apodictic, he did this, he's a jerk, he's weird, and if we could throw in voyeuristic hate.
Behind it.
And chiding and finger pointing.
And as far as I know, to show you how demented people are, he may love this.
I mean, his Real Housewives of New Jersey meets Jerry Springer meets NWA Pro Wrestling meets Dumpster Fires.
I mean, it is the amount of attention.
Let me give you my last example.
There is a wonderful site.
I don't know, one of many.
And it was two puppies.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Strike that.
It was a police officer in the UK rescuing a dog that had fallen off of a ledge or something.
And the police officer was saving this.
Anyway.
The millions.
Oh, isn't that nice?
Isn't that sweet?
Oh!
If I were to show you this one picture, Of this unaccompanied little girl somewhere on the southern border, assuming this is correct, unaccompanied by herself, huddling with her little sister.
A human being.
We don't know who she's with.
Again, the picture is going to be taken out of context, but let's just assume.
Let's just assume.
Because nobody ever asks whether these dog shots were taken out of context or whether they were staged.
But anyway, God forbid.
But you have real humanity, real tragedy going on now, children, and nothing.
No interest.
It doesn't work.
Either because of habituation, conditioning, I don't think it's out of any kind of weird kind of anti-child psychopathy or any kind of a discontinuation or disentanglement of consequence, you know, differentials and all that.
No, no, no, no.
I think it's just the fact that we are, we have become more and more base.
We live in our goldfish bowl and we want life very simple.
We live in a swipe row.
Give me a very simple story.
Something I can just go like a bumper sticker.
Something I can just see in one word.
That's it.
Something very, very simple.
Oh, this guy's yelling at his wife.
Okay.
It's like car crashes.
Dash cam videos.
Simple things.
That's what this is about.
Not the incident.
And I hope that is resolved because there's people and children.
I'm not talking about that.
I'm talking about this inordinate focus.
And not just from this.
I was looking before.
This is the Newsweek.
I've got to share this with you.
Newsweek.
Whatever happened in Newsweek.
My God.
Remember when that was something?
Same thing that went on with CNN.
Remember, CNN used to really be something.
It used to be something.
But look at this.
New York Post, Daily Beast, Forbes, Newsweek, Jezebel, whatever, Insider, Mirror, Daily Mail, of course.
Here's a great headline.
Misogynist conservative pundit.
True.
But look for...
By the way, there's more.
It just keeps going on and on.
Now, look for...
Inside the Stephen Crowder-Candace Owens feud.
Look for...
Children.
The objectification, the abandonment, the horrors attendant to the exploitation and human predation of children.
Good luck.
Nowhere to be found.
Not interested.
Too many words.
Too deep.
Stephen Crowder.
Candace Owen.
Now we're talking.
What does this say about us?
I want to hear what you have to say.
Do me a favor.
Please, please like this video.
We're supposed to say that.
I've learned that.
