Liberty Hangout - Kaitlin Bennett - Democrats Keep Open Mind About Charlie Kirk Aired: 2025-10-01 Duration: 02:17 === Encouraging Dialogue and Understanding (02:17) === [00:00:00] He drew on a very conservative belief and a very specific, a particular view of the Bible. [00:00:08] And I think that, again, opinions and everything gets translated in all kinds of different ways. [00:00:15] So we just need to remember that having that ability to speak is important. [00:00:20] Yeah, it's important. [00:00:22] I've never heard him say anything that was derogatory towards people of color or minority groups. [00:00:28] I think that he was a very Jesus-oriented and faith-oriented man. [00:00:33] And the Bible is very clear that all people are knit in their mother's womb from conception as children of God, and they're put on here for a purpose. [00:00:41] And I've heard him preach that many times, many, many times. [00:00:44] So I am interested in maybe where you heard that from because I don't think you might be getting the full story of what he said and what he believes in. [00:00:53] It was just certain things that I've caught online. [00:00:55] Okay. [00:00:56] Clips, different things. [00:00:57] Yeah. [00:00:57] Well, there's two decades worth of information and things coming from his own mouth. [00:01:02] I would encourage you guys to maybe go on his YouTube or go on his Twitter and stuff and watch those clips that you find in its full entirety because I think you might be surprised that those are taken way out of context and that's not at all what he believes in. [00:01:17] Before he was shot and killed in front of everybody, he was actually preaching the gospel. [00:01:22] And even if you don't agree with that, his intention was to save people's lives and lead them to Jesus Christ and make sure they go to heaven. [00:01:30] And that was to everybody. [00:01:31] He didn't say only white people. [00:01:32] You know, this gospel is for you. [00:01:34] He said everybody. [00:01:35] And so I would just encourage you maybe to look a little bit more into that because I fully support a monument at every single college after him because I think he did an amazing thing trying to dialogue with young people. [00:01:46] So thank you guys for talking to me. [00:01:48] I appreciate that. [00:01:49] I love what you said. [00:01:51] That's my favorite thing I've heard today is that it's worth protecting. [00:01:54] So thank you for that. [00:01:56] It is because it's a slippery slope. [00:02:00] You know, we have to remain vigilant and we have to remember it was because we came together that this country exists. [00:02:09] That's right. [00:02:09] And we have to focus on what brings us together, not what divides us. [00:02:13] Absolutely. [00:02:14] Thank you guys for your time. [00:02:15] I'm going to remember that forever. [00:02:16] Thank you so much.
