Liberty Hangout - Kaitlin Bennett - Democrat Makes Things Up To Get Mad At Aired: 2025-03-02 Duration: 11:04 === Trans Rights Debate (03:10) === [00:00:00] Being a lesbian identified woman, I'm part of a larger community. [00:00:03] That larger community is the LGBT community, and he has already taken trans rights, and which ones? [00:00:15] The ones where they're able to identify as their gender. [00:00:18] I'm just asking what rights. [00:00:19] So you say trans rights, but what rights are they being stripped of? [00:00:24] Their identity, like their identity. [00:00:25] They're not able to identify with their gender. [00:00:31] That's illegal now? [00:00:32] It. [00:00:33] Yes. [00:00:34] It is not illegal. [00:00:36] Okay, I'm done. [00:00:36] We're done. [00:00:37] So if a man said that he was a woman, that's not illegal. [00:00:43] All right, here we go. [00:00:45] I'm going to start with you and then I'm going to go around. [00:00:47] I just want your raw reactions on TV so you can say literally whatever you want. [00:00:51] Are you sure you want that from me? [00:00:53] Yes. [00:00:53] Yeah, there's good content. [00:00:54] The crazier, the more uncensored you are, the better for me. [00:00:58] So I'm okay with it. [00:01:00] I'm not the news. [00:01:01] Yeah, right, right. [00:01:02] Right. [00:01:02] Okay. [00:01:04] Trump has been in office for nearly a month now. [00:01:06] I want your reaction to his first month. [00:01:10] What has he done that's good, bad? [00:01:13] Overall reaction. [00:01:18] Good or bad, can't say anything. [00:01:20] Can't say anything? [00:01:20] No. [00:01:21] No opinion? [00:01:23] Exhausted. [00:01:24] Exhausted. [00:01:24] He's busy. [00:01:25] Yes. [00:01:26] He's a busy man. [00:01:27] All right. [00:01:27] What's your reaction to his first month? [00:01:29] This little chunk in a four-year period. [00:01:32] I'm scared. [00:01:33] You're scared. [00:01:34] Yeah. [00:01:34] Okay. [00:01:35] I'm scared as well. [00:01:36] Okay, all right. [00:01:38] Why are we scared? [00:01:39] Well, we can't say too much more because she's a teacher. [00:01:42] Okay. [00:01:42] The state of Florida. [00:01:44] Okay, you're a teacher. [00:01:44] So state of Florida. [00:01:45] Yeah, so there's not too much I can say. [00:01:47] Perfect. [00:01:47] Yeah, yeah. [00:01:48] Do you want to speak more on why you're scared? [00:01:51] You can leave. [00:01:52] Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:01:53] I don't want anything to come back on you. [00:01:55] Yeah. [00:01:56] Yeah. [00:01:57] Let's go first. [00:01:58] Uh, just with the... [00:02:00] Very, very cute. [00:02:04] Our rights and our personhood and some of the hate that is so has been brought up to the surface and it feels like it's a step backwards in a lot of ways. [00:02:26] And you feel that within Trump's first month? [00:02:29] Yes. [00:02:30] Okay. [00:02:30] What has he done to target your personhood? [00:02:33] And what is your personhood? [00:02:35] When you say we, like, what are you talking about? [00:02:36] Sure, I'm a lesbian identified woman. [00:02:38] Okay. [00:02:39] Yeah. [00:02:41] And so as of right now, there's some fear about marriage rights getting overturned in the Supreme Court, which means that if I get married, then if something were to happen to my partner and I, then I couldn't visit her in the hospital. === Confusion Around Assets (08:07) === [00:03:02] She couldn't visit me in the hospital. [00:03:05] There'd be like some confusion around our assets. [00:03:11] So if we ever bought a house together and it was in one of our names or both of our names, we'll say one of our names because I don't know if you can buy a house together if you're not married. [00:03:25] So then if one of us passed away and it had, like, say I buy a house in my name, I pass away. [00:03:33] If my family were so inclined, they could take that house from her and kick her out. [00:03:38] Okay. [00:03:40] So I'm not familiar with anything that he said about anything about gay marriage. [00:03:46] Can you tell me what he said or what's making you feel that way? [00:03:49] It's less about what he has said and more about the actions that have taken place over the past, for example, stacking the Supreme Court, overturning Roe v. [00:04:08] Wade, setting a precedent to overturn something like gay marriage when, for example, five states, Michigan, Ohio, North Dakota, South Dakota, have made movements for the Supreme Court to overturn marriage equality. [00:04:25] And what actions has he engaged in that would make you feel he would support something like that? [00:04:34] Being a lesbian identified woman, I'm part of a larger community. [00:04:37] That larger community is the LGBT community, and he has already taken trans rights, and which ones? [00:04:52] The ones where they're able to identify as their gender. [00:04:56] So, trans men and trans women are being denied to even be able to serve in the military. [00:05:03] They aren't able to access the restrooms that they are identifying with. [00:05:13] And you think those are rights that so people have a right to go into the military. [00:05:18] I don't feel comfortable with this. [00:05:19] I'm just asking what rights. [00:05:20] So, you say trans rights, but what rights are they being stripped of? [00:05:25] Their identity. [00:05:26] They're not able to identify with their gender. [00:05:31] That's illegal now? [00:05:34] Yes, it is not illegal. [00:05:36] Okay, I'm done. [00:05:37] We're done. [00:05:38] So, if a man said that he was a woman, that's not illegal. [00:05:41] You just can't. [00:05:43] If you have something to say, come say it. [00:05:46] You act real tough, but I don't see anything. [00:05:48] So, again, the LGBTQ, especially the tea crowd, spreading their propaganda and fake news. [00:05:55] That is not illegal. [00:05:56] Trump has never said that he wants to make it illegal for a man to identify as a woman. [00:06:01] That is not happening out here. [00:06:03] Although I have some opinions about what should happen about that. [00:06:07] Hi, are you coming back? [00:06:09] Could you delete their portion? [00:06:10] They just asked if you do that for them personally. [00:06:12] I'm probably not going to do that. [00:06:14] If she wants to come back and clarify and have a conversation, we can do that. [00:06:18] I think she just felt threatened by your How was I threatening her? [00:06:20] Well, no, it's just their channels. [00:06:23] Trust me. [00:06:24] For a man that my daughter is gay, I worry about my kids. [00:06:28] And so I wish you would. [00:06:29] It's unfortunate. [00:06:30] I feel kind of maybe they were a little bit, you blindsided them. [00:06:34] All I asked was what trans rights are being taken. [00:06:37] I know, but I'm just saying. [00:06:38] Can you please stop that, please? [00:06:40] So if you're going to talk to me, he is going to film just because for-I'm not trying to be nasty, but don't. [00:06:44] No, no, no, no. [00:06:44] I'm not trying to be. [00:06:45] I'm not being nasty either. [00:06:47] I wasn't threatening anybody. [00:06:48] I'm actually. [00:06:49] I don't feel threatening at all. [00:06:51] Please. [00:06:51] Yeah, no, please stop. [00:06:53] In no way do I feel like you were being threatened. [00:06:55] Okay. [00:06:55] It's just for the area where we live, they feel very scared at times. [00:07:00] And you have to. [00:07:01] But I would love to make her feel more comfortable because I think she's scared out of, I don't think there's anything she needs to be scared about. [00:07:07] It's easy to say when you're on that side of the fence. [00:07:09] Wait, if you're in the traditional heterosexual relationship, you haven't walked in their shoes. [00:07:16] So I don't know if you have the experience to even say you've got to. [00:07:19] I don't need to have a gay experience. [00:07:21] I just come in and ask you if you would please if you choose to get away from that. [00:07:24] I have no promises. [00:07:25] No promises about that. [00:07:26] If she would like to come back and have a conversation, and I could maybe make her feel a little better to let her know that nothing bad's going to happen to her. [00:07:34] I got you. [00:07:34] I'm just coming as a father. [00:07:35] Yeah, I appreciate that. [00:07:36] Yeah, I'm not being kind of familiar with that. [00:07:37] That's the type of dad we need out here coming and being a spokesperson for their daughters. [00:07:42] I love that. [00:07:42] I'm just saying, if you would please delete that, I would personally appreciate it. [00:07:46] If you choose not to, you guys do what you want. [00:07:48] For sure. [00:07:49] Best of luck to you. [00:07:50] But fortunate, if somebody asked you out of kindness, would you delete that? [00:07:53] If you choose not to, that doesn't say much for you. [00:07:56] If you feel that way, that's fine. [00:07:58] You wouldn't give us any idea about what you're asking. [00:08:00] We thought it was going to be a good idea. [00:08:01] Well, it was a reaction. [00:08:03] Yeah, it was a reaction video. [00:08:06] They got set up. [00:08:08] So they weren't set up. [00:08:08] What did I set them up with? [00:08:10] Asking them to back up their claims that her personhood is going to be taken away and her rights. [00:08:15] Maybe this was going to be something funny that you were trying to do. [00:08:18] And so it was somewhat misleading, and that's what's unfortunate. [00:08:21] I didn't say it was funny. [00:08:22] No, you did. [00:08:23] No, you didn't. [00:08:23] It is a funny thing. [00:08:24] No, you didn't. [00:08:25] By no means did you say anything that's funny, but I think it's what you said. [00:08:28] So I'm totally open to her coming back and having a conversation, and maybe I can make her feel a little better because she's been misled. [00:08:36] Maybe you, as her father, could make her feel a little better that these are things not happening. [00:08:41] Trans rights are not being taken away. [00:08:43] No one's taking anyone's rights away. [00:08:45] And if there are, I would love to fight and stand for them. [00:08:48] So if I could have evidence that this is happening, I would like to know about it. [00:08:53] Well, I'm telling you, as a header said, all you have to do is listen to the news. [00:08:57] I do listen. [00:08:58] And I don't see anyone's rights being taken away. [00:09:00] So I would love for her to come in and educate people. [00:09:03] Unfortunately, I think we've gotten to the point where people are blind. [00:09:06] I had an employee yesterday come up to me and said, it was great what happened to Zelafsky. [00:09:10] Here's a guy that's defending his country. [00:09:12] He has gone to the front line. [00:09:14] He's been called a dictator. [00:09:16] He's fighting a dictator. [00:09:18] And he's asking the he's demanding things of President Trump and our country with nothing in return. [00:09:24] So we're going to stop. [00:09:25] Yeah, that's fine. [00:09:27] I'm open. [00:09:27] I asked you out of kindness. [00:09:28] Yeah. [00:09:29] You choose not to be. [00:09:30] Yeah, and I ask out of kindness for proof of someone's rights being taken. [00:09:34] Because actually, I just asked you, like I said, I just come over here out of respect. [00:09:40] If you do that, I appreciate that. [00:09:41] If you choose not to, then that doesn't say much for you. [00:09:43] That's fine. [00:09:44] That's fine. [00:09:45] Real quick, I think when we're talking, you know, I can't get any proof for trans rights being infringed upon or whatever. [00:09:52] In order for trans people to have rights, that means my rights have to be infringed upon. [00:09:57] My right to be safe into a public restroom, women's rights to go into their sports and not be pummeled by a man wrestler going up against them. [00:10:09] It's also against my religious rights that I have to pretend that this is a reality going on. [00:10:14] And it's also against my rights to not be forced into seeing very obscene things in public. [00:10:22] I would say more, but I can't hear on YouTube. [00:10:24] If you want to hear me say more and have more unfiltered conversations, you can go to libertyhangout.tv. [00:10:32] Oops, we've got it. [00:10:32] You can go to libertyhangout.tv.
