Liberty Hangout - Kaitlin Bennett - Kaitlin Bennett Educates the Left Aired: 2020-03-14 Duration: 08:19 === Guns and Consent (08:03) === [00:00:00] I know that guns don't kill people. [00:00:02] I mean, people do. [00:00:04] Yeah, I agree with you. [00:00:05] Something has to be done. [00:00:06] There's just too many around. [00:00:08] Well, 98% of mass shootings happen in gun-free zones. [00:00:11] Maybe we should get rid of the gun-free zones. [00:00:14] I think so. [00:00:16] We are more alike than you thought with me coming up here. [00:00:22] I want to ask you about your March for Life sticker. [00:00:26] So we're here to talk about women's rights today, right? [00:00:29] Right. [00:00:30] Does that include the Second Amendment? [00:00:32] Pardon me? [00:00:33] Does it? [00:00:34] Sure. [00:00:35] So then why are you wearing a gun control organization button on you? [00:00:39] This is gun control. [00:00:41] Yeah. [00:00:42] Yeah, the top one, March for Our Lives. [00:00:44] I thought that was for, I don't know, I got it at the last woman's march. [00:00:48] Yeah, that's gun control. [00:00:50] I guess you gotta take that off, right? [00:00:53] Okay, I mean don't get me wrong I like guns. [00:00:56] Okay, good. [00:00:57] Good. [00:00:58] Don't put me on TV. [00:01:00] Yeah, I don't know. [00:01:00] Yeah, that's a gun control organization. [00:01:03] Well, now that you know, you don't want to wear it, do you? [00:01:06] I'm fine. [00:01:07] Okay. [00:01:07] I don't. [00:01:08] Oh, you're putting it back on? [00:01:09] Yeah, I am putting it back on. [00:01:14] I like guns. [00:01:16] I like shooting guns. [00:01:18] But I think they need some, what do you call it? [00:01:22] Regulation. [00:01:23] Regulations. [00:01:23] What more regulations would you like to see in America? [00:01:27] Other than the guns? [00:01:29] Regulation for firearms. [00:01:31] Firearm ownership, yeah. [00:01:32] What kind of regulations would you like to see? [00:01:34] The AKs should. [00:01:35] I don't think we really need them. [00:01:36] And I'm in a gun group. [00:01:38] You don't think we need AK-47s? [00:01:40] I don't think the average person needs them. [00:01:43] No. [00:01:43] Why not? [00:01:45] Because a lot of times it does a lot of harm. [00:01:47] But I think the big thing is people need to lock their guns up in a safe so their kids can't get them. [00:01:53] Yeah, I agree with that. [00:01:54] And things would be a lot better. [00:01:57] All right. [00:01:58] Yeah, do you know how the AKs here in America function? [00:02:01] Do I know how they function? [00:02:02] How to work one? [00:02:04] Uh-huh. [00:02:05] So you shot one. [00:02:06] At patreon.com slash Caitlin Bennett for as low as $5 a month. [00:02:09] You guys can get into my private Facebook group where you interact with me directly and we can talk about things. [00:02:15] You can just talk to me. [00:02:16] It's really cool. [00:02:17] It's really fun. [00:02:18] We have a big community there on Facebook. [00:02:20] $5 a month, patreon.com slash Caitlin Bennett. [00:02:23] So what's so different between them and a handgun? [00:02:31] I think policemen need those. [00:02:34] Handguns? [00:02:34] No. [00:02:35] Or AK-47s? [00:02:36] Or any of those, yeah. [00:02:37] Okay. [00:02:38] But why? [00:02:40] Because it seems like it kills a lot of people too fast in an area. [00:02:44] Handguns account for 80% of the mass shootings in our country. [00:02:48] I agree. [00:02:49] So why aren't we targeting the handguns that are used in mass shootings? [00:02:52] I think they need to see, they need to see who's buying guns and limit if somebody's not good. [00:03:03] At 2018, about 430, something around that number people were victims of homicides from rifles, just rifles, of anything that includes ak-47s um, not a very, not a very big number. [00:03:18] I'm not sure if rifles are what we should be concerned about. [00:03:20] Knives killed far more people than than rifles. [00:03:24] Are you concerned about the knife problem in our country? [00:03:27] Somebody's, if somebody's, gonna hurt somebody with them? [00:03:30] Yeah, they do they. [00:03:31] They kill far more often than uh, I agree than rifles, I agree. [00:03:35] So, just to let you know, an Ak-47 uh, here in America, the ones that we have are semi-automatic right, those are the same as handguns. [00:03:42] They shoot at the same rate. [00:03:44] So i'm not sure why we want to target ak-47s when they virtually fire at the same rate as a um, as a handgun. [00:03:52] Do you have any any support for that? [00:03:55] I just think they should Watch who's buying things. [00:03:59] I think parents should keep them away from their kids when they're talking about AK-47s. [00:04:04] You got Moscow Mitch on your side. [00:04:09] Not wild about him. [00:04:11] No, why not? [00:04:13] Because I don't think he does anything good. [00:04:14] He blocks all the house's bills that they're putting through, and he's got a whole pile of them. [00:04:23] He won't do anything for the people. [00:04:26] He needs a wife. [00:04:27] He's making a lot of money. [00:04:28] Mitch's wife? [00:04:30] Him and Mitch. [00:04:31] Man, Bernie's making tons of money. [00:04:33] My God, he started out as $800,000 before he ran for president. [00:04:37] Now he's worth $2.5 million. [00:04:39] Really? [00:04:40] How did Bernie get all that money? [00:04:41] I don't know. [00:04:42] Does that worry you? [00:04:45] Not as much as Trump and Trump's kids and everything. [00:04:49] Trump's lost money being president. [00:04:50] Bernie didn't even... [00:04:51] That's not true. [00:04:54] No way. [00:04:56] He doesn't even take a salary from the presidency. [00:04:59] Bernie hasn't even been president. [00:05:01] He has $2.5 million. [00:05:03] Taxpayers have paid for him to go to Margolat Lago is, I think they said, 334 years worth of giving the pay back. [00:05:13] So you're in favor. [00:05:15] Yeah, so we probably shouldn't be taxed. [00:05:17] What's that? [00:05:18] We probably shouldn't be taxed if that's what our tax money's going to, right? [00:05:21] I think we should be taxed, but I don't think they should let them get away with it. [00:05:25] I agree. [00:05:26] I agree. [00:05:26] No one, I don't think we should be getting taxed in general. [00:05:30] All right. [00:05:30] Well, thank you. [00:05:31] Anything else you have to pay for some, I mean, you have to have tax to pay for some things. [00:05:35] I mean, more should be going to the schools and everything else. [00:05:38] The police. [00:05:40] Don't put me on TV, though. [00:05:41] Oh, no, we're not on TV. [00:05:43] You sure? [00:05:43] Yeah, it's a YouTube channel. [00:05:45] It's a YouTube channel. [00:05:46] Oh, YouTube. [00:05:47] Yeah. [00:05:47] There's only like maybe two other outlets here covering this. [00:05:51] And we reach more people than they do in a whole month. [00:05:54] So. [00:05:55] What YouTube channel? [00:05:57] Or what do you go to to get YouTube? [00:05:58] Where we hang out? [00:05:59] Yep, right here. [00:06:00] Yeah. [00:06:01] Yeah, Bruce Little Circle. [00:06:03] All right. [00:06:03] Anything else you want to say? [00:06:04] We're going to get a balloon. [00:06:06] Amazon oh We lost one already. [00:06:10] Cool. [00:06:12] Oh, no. [00:06:14] All right. [00:06:14] Oh, she was at my march. [00:06:16] She was at my march. [00:06:18] Oh, my gosh. [00:06:19] That's perfect for me. [00:06:21] A toilet brush. [00:06:22] That's pretty funny. [00:06:24] That's insane. [00:06:25] All right. [00:06:26] Like centerpiece and I can't see. [00:06:27] Can I get a picture with you? [00:06:28] What's it? [00:06:29] All right. [00:06:32] I love it. [00:06:32] All right. [00:06:33] I'm noticing that one. [00:06:36] No, it's not on TV. [00:06:37] It's on YouTube. [00:06:37] Yeah. [00:06:40] Hello, how are you? [00:06:41] Yeah. [00:06:42] Technically, I have an AK. [00:06:43] Just on YouTube. [00:06:44] You have an AK, but you don't think other people should? [00:06:47] No, I would be happy to give mine up. [00:06:49] Why don't you do that? [00:06:51] What's that? [00:06:52] Why don't you just go give it up then? [00:06:53] Because I like it. [00:06:54] And I'm not going to shoot anybody with it. [00:06:56] But I keep mine locked in the middle. [00:06:57] Well, neither would anybody else. [00:06:59] Do you think people should be required to give them up? [00:07:04] You know, I don't know. [00:07:05] It's a tough thing because I know that guns don't kill people. [00:07:08] I mean, people do. [00:07:10] Yeah, I agree with you. [00:07:12] Something has to be done. [00:07:13] There's just too many around. [00:07:14] Well, 98% of mass shootings happen in gun-free zones. [00:07:17] Maybe we should get rid of the gun-free zones. [00:07:20] I think so. [00:07:22] We are more alike than you thought with me coming up here. [00:07:25] All right. [00:07:26] This is Cleveland.com. [00:07:27] I consider them halfway fake news because they've run some pretty bad stories on me. [00:07:32] Not so, not so happy about them. [00:07:35] What's up? [00:07:36] What does your thing say? [00:07:39] Answer charge. [00:07:41] Okay. [00:07:41] Yeah. [00:07:41] Yeah. [00:07:43] All right. [00:07:43] Well, thanks. [00:07:44] Thank you. [00:07:45] It gets in my face.
