Louder with Crowder - Bernie Sanders: Fascist for Mediocrity | Louder With Crowder Aired: 2016-01-21 Duration: 11:28 === Fascism vs. Democratic Socialism (03:51) === [00:00:00] The 1% will try to convince you that I don't like freedom. [00:00:06] I like freedom as long as it's not for people who are too rich or are too poor. [00:00:15] I want freedom for every one of the people in the middle. [00:00:21] And it needs to be government mandated! - What democratic socialism is about is having a government which reflects the interest of ordinary people rather than is currently the case of the billionaire class. [00:00:42] So the term fascism is thrown around so much nowadays. [00:00:46] It's a fun word. [00:00:47] What's a fun word, and you've heard it a lot in your college gender studies, I'm sure. [00:00:52] Oh, absolutely. [00:00:53] But it's lost all meaning. [00:00:54] People don't really know what it means. [00:00:56] And so I want to make the case, in looking at their policies and what they want to do and their world view, Bernie Sanders is the most fascist of all the candidates. [00:01:06] How dare you use that kind of incendiary language! [00:01:11] He's just a fascist for mediocrity. [00:01:14] He's a mediocre fascist. [00:01:16] Allow me to present my case. [00:01:19] And I know people complaining, Bernie Sanders sounds more like this, but for all intents and purposes... [00:01:29] Our Bernie Sanders sounds like he's portrayed by Gilbert Godfrey. [00:01:31] It's funnier that way. [00:01:33] The nerve! [00:01:34] So, um, first let's look at the definition of fascism. [00:01:37] It's important, by the way, I found, when I was looking this up, don't go by the first Google thing, Miriam Webster. [00:01:44] Google shows up right away, an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization. [00:01:50] Right-wing. [00:01:51] I was going, well, hold on a second. [00:01:52] Fascism is not right-wing. [00:01:55] I mean, Stalin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Hitler, uh, I don't know. [00:02:26] It has no mention of left wing at all. [00:02:29] None. [00:02:30] So fascism, right wing, socialism, communism, which are actual left wing political systems of government. [00:02:39] We're just going to omit that. [00:02:40] So, let's look at the Merriam-Webster definition of fascism, okay? [00:02:43] It has a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts a nation or race above the individual and stands for centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. [00:02:59] That's Bernie Sanders. [00:03:00] Okay? [00:03:01] Centralized government regimentation suppression of opposition. [00:03:06] So, what do I mean by this? [00:03:08] Um... [00:03:10] Let's look at a few, let's start with a few things. [00:03:13] So Bernie Sanders, right, he comes out and he says, Well, hold on a second. [00:03:32] The people will not have to pay for it. [00:03:35] The people. === Taxing the Wealthy (02:22) === [00:03:36] So he said the people, right? [00:03:37] He's talking about the people signifying this group of people who matter, who will be affected. [00:03:41] Where's the money coming from? [00:03:43] It's not coming out of thin air. [00:03:45] Someone's paying for it. [00:03:46] You look at his tax plan, he wants to tax wealthier Americans more. [00:03:51] Specifically, any household joint over 250,000 household income, you're going to be paying, if you live in a moderately liberal state, over 60% in taxes. [00:03:59] Not to mention everything else. [00:04:01] So those don't count as the people. [00:04:03] Because he's saying the people won't have to pay. [00:04:05] What is he saying about the group of individuals? [00:04:09] They're basically subhuman. [00:04:11] They're not to be included in the people. [00:04:13] The wealthy, the successful, are not the people. [00:04:17] Only these folks count as the people. [00:04:21] That's a very limited definition of people. [00:04:24] Anyone above it, that's fascism. [00:04:27] So... [00:04:30] Let's go here. [00:04:31] While appearing in New Hampshire in September, okay, Sanders said that he had talked to a guy from Denmark. [00:04:36] And he told me that over there, it was very hard to be very poor, but also hard to be very rich! [00:04:46] And that made sense to me! [00:04:49] That's fascism for mediocrity, right? [00:04:52] We're talking about social regimentation, political, and forcible suppression of opposition. [00:04:58] So, It should be very, very hard to be very rich, very, very poor. [00:05:03] All of you have to be in the middle. [00:05:05] Otherwise, you're not part of the people, right? [00:05:07] The people won't pay for it. [00:05:08] So if you're rich, no, you're not part of the people. [00:05:10] If you're poor, no, you're not part of the people. [00:05:12] It should be hard to be very rich, and it should be hard to be very poor. [00:05:17] I want freedom for everyone of the people in the middle, and it needs to be government-mandated! [00:05:27] So how do you enforce that? [00:05:29] By taxing the wealthy an incredible amount and giving to people who are poor. [00:05:33] So if the poor people, maybe some of them deserve to be poor. [00:05:36] It's not popular to say. [00:05:37] Maybe poor people deserve to be poor, right? [00:05:39] Maybe they're lazy. [00:05:40] Maybe they don't work. [00:05:40] Maybe they don't employ people. [00:05:41] Maybe they don't start businesses. [00:05:42] No, no, no, no, no, no, no. [00:05:43] We need to make them part of the people by taking from the non-people, the wealthy, and making sure that everyone is in the middle. === Wage Wars (05:43) === [00:05:51] From his own words, it should be very hard to be very rich or very poor. [00:05:54] Another example. [00:05:57] Good example, right? [00:05:58] Bernie Sanders believes... [00:05:59] In my view, anyone who works 40 hours a week deserves a living wage! [00:06:07] I don't agree. [00:06:08] That sounds mean. [00:06:10] No, I don't agree. [00:06:10] I believe that you have the right to be paid an appropriate amount correlating exactly to the value added by your position or services. [00:06:18] That's what I believe. [00:06:19] But I'm not a fascist. [00:06:21] See, I don't... [00:06:22] Let's, um... [00:06:23] It's like fast food, for example. [00:06:25] Okay? [00:06:25] So, everyone has a restaurant, right? [00:06:28] Like a fast food spot. [00:06:29] I don't know if it's McDonald's or if it's Wendy's. [00:06:31] You have one here, right? [00:06:32] Was it the KFC that's pretty bad? [00:06:34] Oh, it's terrible. [00:06:35] You're like, just don't go to that one on 28th Street because they never get the order right. [00:06:39] They're constantly screwing up. [00:06:41] So you actually, you'll reroute your... [00:06:43] I will drive way out of the way. [00:06:45] Right. [00:06:46] Exactly, right? [00:06:47] To get one that gets the right half the time. [00:06:49] Right. [00:06:49] Half the time. [00:06:50] Just half. [00:06:51] You just want a portion of your order to be right. [00:06:53] So, what is that fast food worker doing to that business? [00:06:58] Now, the fast food worker is the people. [00:07:00] The business owner, if he's successful above the tax price, is not the people. [00:07:03] He's costing that business owner money. [00:07:06] Because you have said, I'm going to go down the street, right? [00:07:09] But the business owner can't reflect that in the payment because he's not the people. [00:07:13] He has to pay him a minimum $15 an hour. [00:07:16] So what inevitably happens? [00:07:17] The business goes under because it's all about the interest of that person, not the value they add, not how good of a job they do. [00:07:25] It doesn't matter that you no longer want to go to that KFC because you get a rat anus instead of a white meat chicken breast, whatever it is that you order. [00:07:34] It doesn't matter. [00:07:35] You barely have to show up. [00:07:38] But that's fascism for mediocrity. [00:07:45] Somebody get that young man a living wage! [00:07:50] Because who does that affect? [00:07:51] People just think that helps people make a living wage. [00:07:54] No, but actually, disregarding the business owner, right? [00:07:57] We've established that people are successful who invest, who employ. [00:07:59] They're not the people. [00:08:01] They're not to be included. [00:08:02] But it also affects employees. [00:08:05] A $15 minimum wage. [00:08:07] Now, who do you think the $15... [00:08:09] I believe... [00:08:10] Because fascists, right? [00:08:12] I don't believe that people should be paid their service. [00:08:14] I believe that people should be paid this set amount. [00:08:15] And it should be hard to be rich. [00:08:16] And it should be hard to be poor. [00:08:17] You make this much. [00:08:18] Okay. [00:08:19] Who does that affect negatively as far as employees? [00:08:22] The crappy... [00:08:23] Do you think it's the crappy employee who causes you to go down the road? [00:08:26] Or do you think the really good employee... [00:08:30] Who do you think gets negatively affected? [00:08:32] I want to go with a good employee. [00:08:33] Because guess what happens when you pay someone $7 an hour or $8 an hour? [00:08:37] But there's an employee on the contrary, right? [00:08:39] Who has a report card where he's getting every order right. [00:08:43] He's smiling. [00:08:44] People, I have it. [00:08:45] There was a Dunkin' Donuts. [00:08:46] There was a lady who was so nice who became friends. [00:08:49] She had no teeth, but she was really, really sweet. [00:08:51] She was just always chipper and made sure to go above and beyond. [00:08:54] You remember those people. [00:08:56] And those people tend to move up pretty quickly. [00:08:58] And not to $15 an hour positions. [00:09:00] So, what happens? [00:09:02] The crappy person who can't put a cheese slice in a filet of fish gets $15 an hour. [00:09:08] No matter what. [00:09:09] The good employee who deserves $25 an hour, what do you think they probably get paid? [00:09:14] I'm gonna go with $15 an hour. [00:09:16] The crappy employee gets paid the exact same amount as the good employee. [00:09:19] Maybe your problem is going to the drive-thru in the first place with your carbon footprint. [00:09:27] You should be riding a bicycle! [00:09:31] So the business owner, they want to pay good employees more. [00:09:34] They want to do that. [00:09:35] Trust me, I'm a business owner. [00:09:37] They want to pay good employees more. [00:09:39] You don't want to pay me more. [00:09:40] I want to pay good employees more. [00:09:41] So they want to pay their good employees more, not ones who wake up at 10 o'clock and say their iPad didn't wake them up. [00:09:47] Not ones who forget to replace the breakers so the studio lights go out. [00:09:52] They want to pay their employees more because it reflects well on their business. [00:09:57] But since he can't, because he has to pay everyone $15 an hour... [00:10:04] Everyone's the same. [00:10:05] Here's the thing. [00:10:06] Bernie Sanders wants to legislatively enforce that everybody is paid the same regardless of performance. [00:10:14] And it's a huge irony. [00:10:15] We want big money out of politics. [00:10:17] We want big money out of influence. [00:10:19] You want more mediocre influence. [00:10:21] You want the people who are not contributing. [00:10:22] The people... [00:10:23] 47% of them don't pay federal income tax. [00:10:25] Those are the only people because it's easy for you to buy their votes by legislating mediocrity. [00:10:32] We have to ensure there's no successful money in politics. [00:10:35] I'm not for crony capitalism. [00:10:36] I understand it. [00:10:37] So what do we want to inject? [00:10:39] The influence of the crappy employee who wants to vote in $15 an hour so he can screw the employee who deserves $25 an hour. [00:10:48] You're lying because you're not the people! [00:10:53] How much do you make? [00:10:55] $16.50. [00:10:56] Son of a bitch! [00:10:58] Steal his shit! [00:11:00] Steal his shit! [00:11:02] So the business owner is screwed. [00:11:04] It doesn't matter if his business is successful or not. [00:11:06] He's not allowed to pay based on performance. [00:11:08] And the good employees are screwed. [00:11:10] So that... [00:11:12] It's really hard to be rich and really hard to be poor. [00:11:16] Everyone has to be right in the middle. [00:11:21] Otherwise you're not part of the people. [00:11:24] That's mediocre fascism. [00:11:27] And that's Bernie Sanders.
