I wanted to chat with you a little bit more.
So can we talk about what you just did?
Yeah, I went over downtown to go check out the Ukraine supporters, and I actually was talking to them, and I just tried to have a straight-on conversation with them.
I wasn't trying to go in there and say trollish things.
I was filling out the vibe to see what I needed to do, and I just started talking to them.
So the conversation was, you know, I started to get out, what do you want?
You know, and they said they wanted a no-fly zone, and I was like, do you know what that means?
And they wanted to get our politicians involved.
And I was just explaining to them, you know, like, that could cause World War III, and I was, you know, showing them, like, how that could happen, you know, with the no-fly zone and shooting down Russian jets under the command of the USA.
And also, I was explaining to them, you know, like, we shouldn't really be getting ourselves involved in other countries' wars.
And I was even talking about, you know, I asked him if he was American.
Well, I found out that a lot of them actually are Ukrainian.
They aren't Americans.
And I'm like, well, I am American.
And our history, you know, our founding fathers, George Washington in particular, was talking about how we shouldn't have an entanglement of alliances.
Because of this type of stuff right here, you know, Europe will start doing crazy things and we just shouldn't get involved in it.
And he ended up agreeing with me.

So that was actually totally unexpected.
I didn't think that any of them would actually agree with me at all.
Right.

That's the thing about it is we shouldn't have to have this care, but we do.
I think, I mean, I'm pretty sure that Russia has a lot more nuclear power, or they have a lot more nuclear, like, missiles or something than we do.

But they have missiles that can go all the way across the world.
They made a big deal about it to let everybody know.

So basically everyone's panic buying just like they did with the toilet paper, just like they did with the food supplies and everything else.
Everyone is panic buying, but it may be for a good reason.

There's nothing we can physically do to have any type of control over this because it's out of our hands.

And that's the scary part about it, you know, I guess.

So basically the first thing that I saw, I was checking out the Liberty Daily and I saw that Kamala's husband has COVID.
So he is triple jabbed.
And so I think that the problem is really that he hasn't got his fourth booster yet.
He's got to get boosted.

You know, because he needed the fourth one.
Obviously.
And they took too long to release it.
I mean, they took way too long.

Barack Obama got COVID too, right?

I saw it and then I opened the door and I was like, Obama has COVID.

So the kids at AISD were able to remove their mask.

I don't think people really realize that they have been masking these children for the past since COVID started.
Since masks first started, there was a chance for them to be a mandatory thing, which should have never happened.
Ever since then, the kids have been wearing masks this entire time.
And even whenever they were doing virtual teaching, There were teachers doing virtual with masks on.
So they were like on the computer with their mask on in their empty classroom teaching to kids on Zoom.
I think there was something where they were told that they need to wear masks in their calls because it might offend somebody.
Is that right?
I guess.
I mean, yeah, I'm sure.
I'm sure that that is the case.
So finally the masks are off and they did, you know, the superintendent for AISD was like, and we will reinstate them if we need to in the future.
And it's like, I don't, you know, I don't think so.
I don't think, I think that now that they've gotten it back, everyone has gotten their, you know, not everyone because a lot of people are Like PTSD at this point from it.
I think anyone who's still wearing a mask is PTSD.
Like their brain is messed up now permanently.
They got some real damage going on in their brain because the CDC is who told them to wear the mask and they were ready and they were ready to fight people over it and they were ready to kick people out and close businesses.
You know, fire people, everybody from, you know, a simple restaurant to a computer tech, you know, employer to, you know, the people on the front lines, nurses, border patrol, cops, whoever.
They were firing everybody over this.
And now the CDC has said, you don't need your mask anymore.
Want to listen to them now because now they think that they know better than the person that they were following originally, which is the CDC.
So, I don't know.
It's just a big, huge, you know, shit show.
And they're just, it's crazy.
It's like they're, what is that gross movie where everybody's attached?
Centipede or...

Anyway, so I think that those people are really damaged and especially the ones that are still forcing their kids to wear masks because There still are kids out there wearing masks at restaurants.
I see them all over.
I saw a mom walking her daughter home from school, and she didn't have a mask on, but the daughter did.
And it was like, I don't know, probably almost, probably 78, high 70s outside.
No shade, sidewalk, Texas.
And I was like, this is literal child abuse in front of me.
So, who do I call to report this person?
Do I say something to them?
You know, like, should I arrest them?
Should I do a citizen's arrest?
Is that what's happening?
Because this child is being abused, is what I saw.
So, yeah.
So, there's still some of that, but I do see a lot more faces, and I'm happy that even though it took this long and it never should have happened, I'm happy that finally they have made this decision.
And I think that it will benefit everybody, you know, teachers, kids, parents, everyone, because you need to see, you know, this is how we learn language, is with our mouth, you know, and you're not going to learn if you're covering that up, which is what they wanted.
To do, which is what they did.
But I think it hurt too many people, and I think if they were to try to go back to it, that nobody would really be on board with it.
If they did it, if they left a big enough gap to where the people who are still not sure, when those people start taking the mask off, if they try to reinstate it after, I think they're going to have a big pushback from it.
But they are, it is funny, and Kristen was saying earlier that...
You know, it's funny because the people who were firing everyone over the mask mandates and the vaccine are now begging those people to come back to work, which is really shitty because they fired them for not doing these things.
And now they're saying, like, you don't really have to.
Wear the mask anymore.
You don't really have to.
Because there are people that refused to work at a job that would force masks.
I mean, that was a real reality.
And now they're like, we'll hire you back.
We need you back here.
Because our business is failing.
Because of us.

At the University of Iowa, we are changing the way we ask for and use students' names and pronouns of reference.
These changes give students the agency to tell us what name and pronouns to use in our communication and interaction with them.
So we don't get sued.
So they're making them put their sex still, though?
Yeah, that doesn't...
Their birth sex.
Yeah, wow.
And they're not going to get any pushback on that?
It is really difficult for people to pronounce and remember me by my first name, Shu Hui.
So that's when I started to go by my last name, Ling.
Trans identified students have to carry the burden and stress of disclosing their gender identity or risk being misnamed or misgendered.
58.7% of gender non-conforming students have had their gender identity be the cause of verbal harassment while on campus.
Last year when I was a first year student coming into the University of Iowa, I was very nervous because I had to send Emails to all of my professors before the first day of class telling them what my name was and that it wouldn't match up with the name that they were given and what my pronouns were.
Just ask.
Just ask.
Have students create name cards in class or meetings with their names and pronouns listed.
It's such a huge waste of time.
We should definitely do it.
This is driving me crazy.

A few examples of places that students can use their preferred names are employee name tags, email signatures.

But, I mean, you know, so the thing is that the teachers are getting in trouble or suspended or whatever because they're not following this new pronoun rule.
So if I was a teacher, they would just be like, you're suspended.

And because they're not, they're embracing it instead.
You know, they have to figure out a way to be excited.
Maybe they are.
I mean, they all seem truly excited about it.
They have to push it like it's a really great thing and we love it so much and we have kids coming to this college and paying money to come to this college so that way we can spend half the class making place cards that say our pronouns on them like we're in kindergarten or something.
This is what cults do.
They go through society and they're like, okay.
We've made it to this point.
Now we're going to switch things up.
And if you don't do what we tell you, then you're not going to be allowed in society anymore.
That's what cults do, right?

And then what about the students who are not, I mean, hopefully there are students that are not down for this and they say, like, I don't want to go here anymore.
You know, or I don't want to play.

Is this just, this is just like a new mandatory thing.
So, you know, and so much so that a teacher is getting suspended for not following these rules.
He was officially suspended under the district's bullying in diversity and inclusion policies.
He was also denied the religious exemption she requested related to the district's newly required practice to use students' preferred names.
Religious exemption.
We try every way to not have to follow this crazy insanity.
And, you know, God used to be something that people treasured and respected, and now it's just, it means nothing.
I mean, we knew that right away, though, whenever they were closing the churches, which is like, you know, right away they were like, oh, COVID's out.
Close the churches.
Open the strip club.
Open the strip club.

And I really like that kind of avenue that the teacher tried to take with saying that they're a Christian and they believe the gender is assigned by God at conception.
And so they said that as a reason for not doing this and still Got suspended.
So, that is where we are.
I told you guys, I went to the, on the last episode, I talked a little bit about how I went to the rally.
You know, there was a rally for, that's against trans kids, you know, or doing anything like that.
You know, certain ages, I think that was the most recent thing, like no babies, no kids in kindergarten ages like three to something or birth to something are not allowed to have these gender surgeries or taking hormone blockers at a certain age.
So this is something that...
That they were pushing against.
They don't want this to happen.
One of the speakers was Kevin Witt, a friend of ours.
And he...
I should try to have him on the show, actually.
He would be really great to tell his story.
And basically, he thought he wanted to be a woman.
And maybe I'm butchering his story.
I'm not sure.
So he decided to start to take...
Hormone blockers and that started to snowball and then he was, you know, living as a woman for many years and then something happened and he found God and he decided basically that he didn't want to go down that path anymore and now he's an advocate for this.
And so they had a deal at the Capitol that I went and covered, and then across the street at the Governor's Mansion, of course, all the trendy transgender gathering happening at the Governor's Mansion.
So I made my way over there also.
Of course, a lot of hate over there, a lot of people in my space, and just the most ridiculous things that they were saying on the speaker, playing, they had somebody singing.
We took plenty of video of it.
I was doing a live coverage, so it's a little crazy, but nonetheless, it's a few hours, I think, of video of that.

Yeah, this pronoun thing is so crazy.
Fentanyl.
It was a fentanyl.
So I read this thing about...
In Austin, there were like 12 overdoses just off of Sixth Street alone.
Oh, I wonder if I moved it over.
Anyway, and they were all, I want to say they were all fentanyl things.
So then I came across this article yesterday where...
There are four new hospitalizations linked to fentanyl just days after spring breakers overdosed.
Oops, sorry.

And this is in Fort Lauderdale.
A similar thing like this happened, but it was just off of people that were on 6th Street.
I think there were like 12 people.
But here, after 10 people at two homes are hospitalized because they potentially lethal drug fentanyl in a matter of three days.
Oh, popping up in Fort Lauderdale area after 10 people, right?
Fentanyl is deadly.
If you don't know that, it is.
Even just a few granules the size of salt from a shaker could kill you.
So, four men were hospitalized Sunday after a medical emergency involving fentanyl.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said Monday two of the men were found in respiratory arrest at the 1600 Block, yada yada, in Fort Lauderdale.
They found drug residue at the residence, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Testing determined the substance to be fentanyl.
So I think people forget a lot of the time about all of these things that are happening and why it's so important that we secure our border.
And one of the main reasons is because of this.
And it's only gotten worse and worse and worse over time.
And I know people that have lost loved ones to this, you know, just last year.
And you don't know.
And people are just taking whatever...
They have or is getting passed around, you know, how it is.
Like back in the day, you go out, somebody has something or whatever.
And, you know, think about it.
But because fentanyl is so easy to get now, apparently, you know, you have to be careful.
You have to be aware of this kind of stuff or you're going to find yourself dead.
And I don't want you guys to die.
Don't do drugs.
So there's that.
And then I want to get to this.
This is so funny.
So when I was doing South by Southwest over the weekend, of course, I saw all these stories about this guy who wanted to meet Nicolas Cage, yada, yada, Nicolas Cage.
And Nicolas Cage.
Is, like, all over downtown Austin.
Like, somebody made these posters.
And, oh, is it giving me the article afterwards?

This is so funny.

And that's because he plays himself.

It was hard enough to hear.
That he passed and now I have to just be like you're making me feel like something happened.
I don't know if they know this or not but it's like you guys are really I'm trying not to get all you know I'm not trying to put on my foil cap right now although I do enjoy wearing it.
I don't want to do it for Bob Saget and you guys are forcing my hand on it.
So local authorities will be permanently blocked from releasing photos and videos taken of comedian Bob Saget's body.
Oh, I don't want to see that.
And his personal effects under a ruling issued by Judge Monday.
So there's a virtual hearing for the lawsuit.
For some reason, they don't want anyone to see pictures of him.
And I think that whenever somebody...
I mean, nobody wants to see pictures of a dead person, right?
But if you need to see those pictures to maybe help determine the cause of death or anything like that, I'm assuming that's what they want to do.
Why would you deny that?
I don't know.
I mean, don't you want to know?

Because I doubt that anybody, like some random person, just, like, snaps some photos of them and wants to release them to TMZ or something.
I don't think that's the case.
So this makes me feel like, why don't we want the, um, why don't we want that?
So a virtual hearing happened, uh, where, uh, The Sheriff's Office and District 9 Medical Examiner's Office from making public a limited cache of records.
So they don't want anyone seeing it at all.
I want to commend everybody involved here because this could have been very messy.
They're talking about the ruling on the matter.
I don't understand that.
His wife thanked the judge.
I guess she's the one who wanted it.
Nothing that we're going to do today obviously is going to take away from the pain.
Oh, the judge told them that, but hopes that what we can do is give some people some privacy.
Saget died of head trauma that most likely incurred from an unwitnessed fall in his room.
Oh, we know what that means.
What does it mean?
Well, I mean, like, anytime somebody falls out and make me take a vaccine.
Yeah, I know.
I mean, we all thought that, I think, because, right, because he had just got the booster.
And when I first read the article about how he died, I remember them saying, like, he died, he had his hand over his chest, and I was reading the article to Adan, and I was like, he had a heart attack.
He had a stroke from the vaccine, from the booster, because he was just talking about going and getting it.
And I don't know.
