Paving the way.
And that's what really, what are the challenges of uniting independence?
How are you going to overcome that?
She is a prime example right here of how we're going to overcome that.
Another speaker today will have Amelia Powers Gardner, another prime example of how we're going to overcome that.
So thank you very much for sharing that, Carla.
Thank you.
Christopher, I've got a question for you.
What becomes possible when 100 million independents of the U.S. are more united and organized?
please.
Yeah, so just to circle back around those first two questions for a second, and then use that springboard to answer the third.
When I started getting involved with independent space, I started thinking about the electoral processes.
How do you get people elected?
How do you get people elected?
What are the challenges of getting people elected?
And kind of knocking on that door for a couple years with my own thought processes.
I just want to cut the chat right there, David.
Right there in the middle there.
Sorry.
You're distracting me.
So I realized that we need to go deeper in the electoral processes.
That we actually, it's too superficial to just think about getting people elected.
It's a deeper conversation.
So there's this whole ecosystem of how we organize, how we build the independent movement, how we build the independent narrative, how we train ourselves with the capacities that we need to do the reform work, to do the campaign work.
So it's humbling and also a little bit of a realization that the work is deeper than just how to get people on the ballot and how to get them elected.
And so that's really where the Independent National Union realized, okay, we've got to focus on creating systems in context of local organizing so we can train and empower and build relationships with independents across the country.
We need to build a narrative for the independent sector and space.
And then we need to create the media distribution channels to be able to push that narrative forward.
And so that's like the next three to four years of the movement, actually.
And once we have that infrastructure in place, now we're ready to be able to run the electoral activities.
Now we're ready for the campaign activities.
Now we can actually get the right independence elected, and we can get them elected with a constituent base of independence.
Who know how to effectively support them to be able to move the local, state, and national reform agenda forward.
So that's the deeper movement that I see as possible.
So I predict that if we focus on these work, on these efforts of local organizing independence and narrative and media of the independent sector, then three or four years from now, you're going to start to see independence getting elected as a popcorn effect.
Because people are going to feel confident to vote for the independent because they've been listening to those independent podcasts.
They've been watching the independent television.
They've been going to those independent meetups.
They've been training themselves to be a part of independent campaigns.
So when that independent governor runs for office, you've got thousands of people around the state who can come into a relationship with that campaign because they've been preparing for that moment in time.
And so if we do that foundational work, we're going to start to see that we have these I believe that we'll see independents elected en masse in 25, 26, 27, 28. And now is the moment in time to do the foundation work to prepare for that.
So just to answer the question, you know, what becomes possible when we have 100 million independents organized?
Complete national revolution becomes possible.
Extricating the United States of America of the Republican and Democratic parties becomes possible.
And in that extrication, in that complete delegitimization of the two-party system, which we can delegitimize from a thousand different angles.
I mean, pick whatever angle you want to take.
And it's a completely illegitimate system that's not offering governance of, by, and for the people.
But with the organization and coordination, we can have this electoral activity happen en masse.
Meaning thousands and thousands of independents from municipal levels all the way to state legislation, all the way to national legislation, and all the way to the White House can occur.
And simultaneously to that, we conduct local, state, and national reform actions that transform and improve our government systems to become more accountable, more transparent, and more effective at achieving the objectives of decreasing harm and suffering.
of improving quality of life, of increasing societal efficiencies, and doing the foundational work that the government has the opportunity to do if it's fully empowered and acting from a genuine interest to serve and not as a mechanism to extract resources from the public for the enrichment of private.
Thank you, Christopher.
Only use this mic.
Okay.
I was just going to say, so Chris is my brother over here, and the only thing that I will say is that the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, has its beautiful spirits.
Beautiful spirits.
So I wouldn't necessarily say eradicate them or anything.
Those words don't necessarily work for my spirit.
And so for me, it's about allowing the cream to rise to the top, you know, and allowing whatever it is that we, from a unification standpoint, feel that we want to manifest in this world.
Those that want to join that movement, let's ride.
Like, let's ride.
And that is going to consist of Republicans.
That's going to consist of independents and Democrats.
And that's what brings me joy.
Is that, yes, the two-party system has not necessarily served us at all.
We know that.
And, I'll say not but, but and, I think it's the approach that matters.
The words matter.
Because the words have vibrational connection to what we truly want to bring together.
So I'm really about unifying.
I'm not interested in tearing anything down.
I am about unifying.
And however that looks, and however people are led to connect with each other, let's do that.
And I resonate with that.
We're here to build a new paradigm with no ill will, no towards the past and what has happened.
Let's spin.
Let's choose to spin our energy on building the new paradigm.
And what better way to do that than through music.
Right?
I mean, I'm not a supporter anymore of political parties.
I used to be in 2010 when I was the only female asked to speak at the National Libertarian Party Convention.
And about 30 minutes before going on stage, I was censored and told I couldn't speak about specific things.
I said, okay, well, this isn't very libertarian-like.
And so I became, I've always been an independent.
And I realized that, well, I may not believe in political parties per se.
They're going to play a role.
Yes, candidates still need to use the party lines to get elected.
And eventually it's inevitable that independence will rise.
And it's the blockchain ledger.
It's a game-changer.
Technology is the game-changer.
And when we bring transparency within elections, also, I meant to mention at the open, our awesome co-host, Sahara AI.
Come on.
I mean, Brian made this happen here to Levy.
Thank you so much.
I mentioned it again.
I'll be on a later panel.
But bringing transparency, when we do that within our elections, and we have these candidates of office, like Carla and Amelia and many more, we're going to find that we're going to bring about not only transparency in elections, and we'll achieve that through our blockchain election assistant app that we'll be speaking later on when Colin Cantrell is on the panel, our technology panel.
But when we do that, then we're going to be able to bring...
Transparency and AI and space and so on and all.
This is not the free and equal elections.
This is where we are now, but we're going to continue and plan to put this on a decentralized platform.
It's truly for the people, this platform.
So music is where it's at.
And I say, let's come together.
We have an actual party doing this.
This is serious work.
We're in it for the rest of my life.
I am.
I can speak for myself.
And so thank you so much.
And did you have a few more words?
Carla, Christopher, please.
Yeah, the time is well where we're at.
I'm timing.
Beautiful.
So those are my final words of coming together and how...
It is so important.
I love the words of John Lennon.
My ringer on my phone is watching the wheels.
Watching the wheels go round and round.
There's that line in there that says, there's no problems, only solutions.
And when we shift into that mindset of right now, there's this fear and so many problems.
No, no.
With great conversation, we can and we'll bring about solutions.
And again, John Lennon, there's no problems, only solutions.
Thank you, Christina.
So I would say this, so I am the founder of a technology called Ying.
We are a peer-to-peer group skill-sharing platform.
We just launched a campaign called Our Beloved Community, and I'm super proud of the work that we're doing because we're building a much more connected culture, one that cares for each other.
I think that's where it starts.
Is us getting grounded that there's two forms of capital that are running through our DNA as a humanity.
That's right now.
We've claimed financial capital, but I also believe in social capital, community capital.
And so we unlock now community capital with our platform for the first time.
And we're all part of social networks.
So our technology allows for people to actually skill share on demand, just like an Uber or Instacart or whatever.
And the reason why I'm so passionate about that form of connection is because I think the more and more these transformative transactions can take place, we'll start to realize we're way more connected than we are divided.
So I say and thank you for having this platform and for allowing for people like myself Who's not necessarily, I don't subscribe to being a politician at all.
I much more connect with getting shit done.
You probably didn't expect me to say that.
Thank you.
The website is yingme.co, not.com, but yingme.co.
Thank you, guys.
Great to share some time with you, Christina and Carla.
Yeah, I think my closing thoughts are just that, you know, in a panel, you can only achieve so much outcome of answering questions completely.
It should take hours and years to answer effectively.
So I'll just restate the questions as the content itself to muse upon and to carry with us going forward, right?
So the questions are, you know, what can we do To help unite the independent sector across the country.
I invite each of you to carry that question in your mind.
Carry that question in your heart.
What can we do to unite the independent sector in this country?
What are the challenges that have or will occur as we attempt to do that?
So we can go into that effort with our eyes wide open and be effective, be strategic, be willful.
And what becomes possible?
When we can organize a hundred million independents, right?
Carry that question in your mind.
Carry that question in your heart.
Carry that question in your dinner conversations.
What's possible if the independents in this country, outside the Republican and Democratic systems, are able to organize powerfully, passionately, with shared vision, with shared language, with coordination, with a roadmap, with an agenda, with the ability to distribute?
That organizing activity and activism in counties across the country will also coordinate those actions at the state and national scale.
What's really possible if we organize and coordinate this massive amount of people who have already said, I'm not buying the standard narrative.
I'm stepping away from the political party that I was born into.
I don't really want to be associated with that.
They're removing themselves from the existing trajectory of the mainstream.
But they haven't been caught into a new trajectory yet.
So they've just announced their own declaration of independence, if you will.
You know, my dad is one example.
Lifelong Republican.
He tells me the other day he registers independent.
Because I couldn't believe that.
And so when my dad, okay?
That's indicative of millions of Republicans or diehard Democrats that, for whatever reason, are previous affiliations.
What's the vision?
What are they being invited into?
How do they get organized?
What action do they take?
How do they find other independents?
Do you see what I'm saying?
You know, it's up to us, really, in this room, in this not reason, create context of organizing so that this hundred million Americans can move from to an actual movement.
from an actual movement to an actual national creating a thriving future for our country and our government of, by, and for the people.
We're still on the way to figuring out how to fulfill that ideal.
We haven't lost it yet.
It's just taken a while for us to figure out all the ways to not do that.
So we can figure out how to actually do that.
And while the world is burning, And maybe there's a one millionth percent chance that it's possible.
I'm going to give my all to be able to step into that possibility and to believe and to pray that possibility into manifest form with my actions, with my words, and with my consistent actions.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Thank you.
And that's a wrap.
The United Independent Movement Panel.
Thank you so much, your panelists.
