	I think that Kevin really screwed things up last week when he decided to inject himself into this controversy with his vociferous defense that contains some rather charged language.
	I think he's doing the right thing by pointing out the obvious, which is that if somebody glosses Nazis on the air, that person probably should not be associated with a conservative think tank and that everyone should have a duty to say that a bad thing to do.
	So I'm grateful to Kevin for doing that.
	I think it's a very good thing that he did that.
	The real issue here is I think that Tucker Carlson's morphing from, I would say, a very edgy right-wing political figure on Fox News, but certainly within the mainstream, into a conspiracist, a person who ideologically launders anti-Semitism, who ideologically launders all sorts of anti-Americanism on his show, and then airs it for the public to hear with interviews like the ones he did with Nick Fuentes, which was essentially a massage of Nick Fuentes.

	The Washington 3 Beacon obtained and posted a video of yesterday's Heritage Foundation staff meeting where Roberts apologized for how he handled Tucker's conversation with Nick Fuentes.

	I can tell you with a clear conscience and not making any excuses that those were my intentions to fix all of that.

	We were referred to Kevin Roberts' social media post from yesterday.
	What's your reaction?
	And let me just note that Nick Fuentes has been fairly notorious for years now, including when he dined with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
	I mean, I think that's true, but I think that really, in order to experience the full wonders of the Nick Fuentes catalog, you really do have to spend some time going through the receipts.
	I did that earlier this week on my show.
	And the truth is that most people don't watch politics all that granularly.
	Even people who are in politics don't spend a lot of time on sort of the fringe edgelord right the way that Fuentes is.
	And so the sort of mainstreaming, the popularization and normalization of Fuentes by Carlson is significantly more important than just Fuentes' existence, obviously.
	It was a seminal moment, I think, when it comes to the rights decision as to whether Tucker himself is a source of truth or whether he is a destructive force inside conservatism.
	So one of the things you've noted is a distractive forest in San Francisco.
	It isn't so much.
	Your problem isn't so much that Tucker Carlson had Fuentes on his show, but that he didn't push back at all on the neo-Nazi, anti-Semitic, pro-Joseph Stalin rhetoric, et cetera.
	I just wonder, last week at a turning point event, Vice President JD Vance was asked by a student about an anti-Semitic falsehood, this crazy notion that Judaism openly supports the persecution of Christians.

	I think his response to the question, which was asked, as you say, in a tremendously anti-Semitic way, the idea that Jews are persecutors of Christians is an absurd contention.

	For a perspective, there were another piece.

	And Nostra Atate, meaning in our times, the church declared Christians and Jews share a spiritual patrimony.

	Pope Leo XIV is carrying on the church's stance, strongly condemning anti-Semitism last Wednesday when he dedicated his general audience to Nostra Atate's 60th anniversary last and yet we got these Catholic influencers like Nick and Gypsy Crusader shilling a church that disavows them as the solution.
	How do you square that?
	All these coping e-crusader trad cats.
	And so I too can't end.

	I think the Jewish community in America understands itself beyond itself.

	He's convinced it will take both Catholics and Jews to lean into our biblical inheritance together to combat the anti-Semitism of today.
	Christians, so the masses and all the churches and all the big influencers and all the big shows, they're all going to team up to oppose anti-Semitism, while the Anons and the E-Crusaders and the bots are going to play the villain.
	And this little story that's unfolding.
	So much of the anti-Semitism that we've seen, after all, is motivated by an attempt to repaganize the culture.
	This is something surely that Catholics and Jews together can try to work against.
	How should Catholics contend with the spread of anti-Semitic rhetoric seeping into mainstream platforms today for the sake of our Jewish brothers and sisters and for the sake of our own soul?
	We are joined by a guest who provides a thoughtful perspective on the Catholic response to anti-Semitism and how the church can confront this age-old hatred.
	Mary Aberstadt is a founder of the Coalition of Catholics Against Anti-Semitism, a leading Catholic author of several acclaimed books and a social commentator known for her analysis of faith, culture, and the modern world.
	Mary holds the Panula Chair in Christian Culture at the Catholic Information Center and is a senior research fellow at the Faith and Reason Institute.
	Mary, thank you so much for joining us for this important discussion.
	First, I just want to ask for your observations right now about the looks like Marina Abramovich.
	Seeing online and how we as Catholics must grapple with that.
	How would you describe this moment that we are in?
	Well, thank you for having me, Catherine.
	And first of all, I'd like to say anti-Semitism, as you note, is an ancient evil, but it has acquired new life online, like other ancient evils that have acquired.
	Ancient evil, the oldest hate.
	And I think it's very important to do the right thing here and avoid this evil, but even more, to take the lead in fighting against it.
	And the reason I say that is that Catholics take the lead, as we have heard, is unbroken, firm, and unsparing about this particular sin.
	As I mentioned, incidents of anti-Semitism have surged since the October 7th Hamas attack in Israel.
	And there are some who would say that the anti-Semitic label is used too broadly for anyone who offers any critique of the state of Israel and its actions.
	Can you clarify what anti-Semitism is and what it is not as it pertains to our stance as IHRA?
	She's going to say the definition?
	Well, I can first say, how do you recognize anti-Semitism?
	How do you know it when you see it?
	First of all, you know it when people talk about the Jews.
	What?

	It's a stereotype.
	Hold on.
	Jews always talk about the Jews.
	You've got hundreds of Jewish organizations.
	Like the Bible, your Bible talks about Jews, the Jews.
	Rabbis constantly talk about the Jews.
	You're the one that differentiates the whole world between Jews and non-Jews in your religion.
	Just noticing that Jews are a group and it's already anti-Semitism.
	How about that?
	Even worse.
	That's amazing.
	First say, how do you recognize anti-Semitism?
	How do you know it when you see it?
	First of all, you know it when people talk about the Jews.
	The Jews.
	The Jews.
	Just saying the Jews, recognizing there's a Jewish people is a stereotype.
	Wow, this woman's a stereotype.
	She looks just like the woman that says stereotyping Jews is terrible.
	Stereotyping Jews is terrible.
	We've got to find that.
	You know, you're looking at anti-Semitism when people are blaming social dissolution and other problems on, quote, the Jews.
	Now, how do we distinguish this from Israeli foreign policy?
	It seems to me it's pretty easy.
	Catholics are heirs to a tradition of just war theory.
	And the interesting thing about people who say that Israel is in the wrong is that the kinds of anti-Semites who are making that case never stop to talk about just war theory.
	Under just war theory, nations that are attacked and people who are attacked have the right to defend themselves.
	I have yet to see from any anti-Semitic quarter the argument that what Israel is doing violates just war theory.
	So, in other words, what I'm saying is that what about the ICC and the UN in all the countries of the UN condemning it?
	Are you kidding me?
	Nobody's done that not intellect.
	Here it is.
	Let's see if this woman apologized for World War II and the Holocaust.
	And now I believe in 2004, the Jewish community needs to apologize for the death of Jesus.

	If we as a people choose not to believe that Jesus is the son of God, then we can still apologize for the brutal way in which he was killed and take our share of the responsibility for it.

	And I emphasize that message to Catholics in particular.
	Because Catholics took the lead when hardly anyone else was doing it.
	In saying that pornography is wrong, it's bad.
	It's something you should stay away from.
	And a lot of us were ridiculed.
	That's going to be E. Michael Jones's new message.
	That's why I say again, Catholics need to be in the lead of fighting against anti-Semitism because this and just like pornography, Jews are behind Christian anti-Semitism.
	How about that?
	Anti-Semitism bears such a resemblance to pornography online.
	And Jews are behind it.
	And Jews are behind both.
	How about that?
	Whether declaring the phrase Christ is king is an attack on our Jewish brothers and sisters.
	This is what Catholic scholar Dr. Robert George told me this week.
	We Michael Jones is a heretic.
	Definitely.
	There's no question about that.
	And when we proclaim Christ as King of the Jews, we say what is true, and we honor Jesus Christ as the Son of God, our Savior, second person of the Blessed Trinity.
	But when anybody, Catholic or not, uses that wonderful truth, that wonderful phrase, Christ is king, as a taunt, as a way to express contempt for other people, to express hatred for Jewish people.
	It always annoys me how people, these e-crusaders play dumb and they go, like, oh, they want to be in Christ as king.
	It just means Christ is king.
	No, you, you know, you're deliver when you're saying it as a taunt.
	They say it to me as a taunt, too.
	They say it to quote-unquote pagans as a taunt, also.
	Huge own taunting about the king of the Jews being king, Moshiach being king.
	Comes a taunt.
	That is blasphemy.
	That is blasphemy.
	Holy.
	And debasing and degrading it, using it.
	Blaspheming, e-crusaders, blaspheming.
	Mary, can you comment on this point and this debate?
	This seems to really be at the crux of a lot of tension there.
	How do we as Catholics move forward and the great commission and proclaiming the gospel while maintaining relationship properly with our Jewish brothers and sisters?
	Well, as always, it's very hard to improve on Professor George, and I am not able to do it.
	But I am able to observe that it is hard to think of anything more diabolical and transgressive than taking that phrase, Christ is king, and using it as an anti-Semitic taunt.
	It almost seems unimaginable that we have to remind people that Jesus was born a Jew, lived as a Jew, lived in a Jewish family with Jewish traditions, etc., etc.
	Jew, Jew, Juju, Jew, Jew.
	What does Jesus do about this?
	Is a question that Catholics?
	How seismic the Vatican II document, Nostra Atate, is for our church as we celebrate 60 years now since its release.
	Yes, it was seismic in the sense that it was a clarification of teaching that Christ is king of the Jews.
	No acts of anti-Semitism are permissible by anyone at any time.
	No amount of sophistical reasoning or online trolling can get around those words.
	It's Nostra Atate is like maybe one of the biggest anti-anti-Semitism declarations of all time history.
	It's like the total repentance and turning of the church to becoming persecuting to becoming the advocate, the big flip.
	It's been 60 years, and they just elected a new pope, and the trad cats just go, you're not real Christians.
	Oh, that pope, I don't agree with everything he says.
	It's just like, dude, stop coping.
	Yet they still shill the Catholic Church.
	They're one of the main groups bringing in masses of immigrants in European countries.
	Also.
	Blanket.
	It's absolute.
	And it was followed by a number of strong statements by Catholic leaders.
	That's why Ben Shapiro hires a bunch of Catholics.
	Look at all those stupid hats.
	A bunch of kooks in their robes.
	And went out of his way time and again to reiterate that to be anti-Semitic is to be anti-Christian.
	That is a direct quote.
	Later, we had John Paul II and a succession of leaders, as George Weigel alluded to, saying the same thing.
	So, again, there is no wiggle room for Catholics in this matter.

	What was on Jesus' left as he was talking to his disciples?

	It was the sheep gate.
	That's where they brought the sheep in through the sheep gate.
	It was an object lesson.
	Jesus was expanding and expounding upon Joel chapter 3.
	And then he says, Then the king will say to those on the right, come, you who are blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared.
	So those on the right, the sheep, enter into the kingdom, the millennial kingdom that was prepared for you from before the foundation of the world.
	Because I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.
	I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.
	I was naked.
	You clothed me.
	I was sick.
	You visited me.
	I was in prison.
	You came to me.
	Now, Christian theologians have debated this passage forever.
	They go, who is he talking about?
	Is he just talking about the poor in general?
	And you go, those principles are true.
	As Christians, we should pay attention.
	You know, associate with the lowly, care for those that are in prison.
	And that's true.
	Others say, no, it's talking about Christians.
	Christians should be nice to other Christians.

	Jesus just a time of unparalleled tribulation is coming to Israel, such as has never been before.
	And then he says, when he comes back, what did he say earlier?
	I'm coming back for the controversy of Zion.
	And I'm coming back on behalf of my people, Israel.
	My people, my inheritance.
	He says something is coming unparalleled, this irrational hatred of Israel that will actually draw all the nations like a magnet to Jerusalem.
	And then he actually says he will judge the nations based on how they responded to that particular crisis.
	You go, hold on, Joel, are you preaching heresy?
	We're saved by grace through faith, not by works.
	I go, yeah, but the Bible also says that your faith, if it doesn't produce action, if it doesn't produce works, righteous works, it's not real.
	It's not real faith unless it actually moves and affects our lives.
	And the point is this, right now, this demonic, irrational, satanic hatred of God's people is gripping the world.
	And it's all prophesied.
	It's all predicted.
	And the Lord actually says, it's going to be such a crisis that I will actually be able to judge whether or not people's faith is real by how they responded to this time of unparalleled crisis.
	We're in the early stages.
	I don't know timing.
	I don't know how this plays out.
	But I'm just saying, guys, if we understand the biblical testimony, now is the time to stand in solidarity with the people who throughout history have been the single most hated, persecuted, despised, hunted, and murdered people in the history of mankind.
	And you go, but Israel's not poor.
	Yes, they are.
	Believe me, if you're Jewish today, you go, where in the world can I even raise my children without someone hating them?
	This is where we are.
	My daughter, it's probably two years ago in high school.
	She goes, Dad, why is it, she goes, why is it that everyone knows racism is bad?
	She says, but all my white friends, they know racism is bad.
	She says, no, all my black friends know that racism is bad, but they all pick on Jews.
	Why is it that Jews are the only people that it's okay, socially acceptable to be racist toward?

	And as I said at the beginning, they were hardened in order that we, the Gentiles, the pagans, could come in.
