Time Text
What we're describing is a battle that is described to us by the prophets, two specific prophets, the prophet Ezekiel and Zachariah, and Ezekiel in chapter 38 and 39,
and Zachariah in chapter 14, describe a battle, both seemingly the same battle, given the same name, they both ascribe this battle that is going to take place before the Messiah comes.
Some say right after the Messiah comes, and the Messiah himself will be involved in this battle.
And this battle is called the battle of Gog and Magog.
Gog and Magog.
And we're gonna see there are many different opinions: who, what, when, and why this battle will take place, and even yes, even if this battle will take place.
But the idea is that there will be a king, and this king, uh, his name will be Gog, or maybe there's a nickname that we're given to him, and he'll be a king of a nation called Magog.
Gog and Magog.
Now we're gonna see that maybe this isn't literally his name.
He may be known by this name, and we'll see a little bit later what this name could actually be alluding to.
And this battle of Gog and Magog is gonna follow two big battles, and the last battle, the third of the battle, uh, is gonna take place right before or right after this battle of uh right before after the Messiah comes to reveal himself,
which we know from earlier classes and our writings and books, one of which I wrote myself, is actually going to be the culmination, uh, will culminate with great peace that is going to spread throughout the entire world.
Gog and Magog, um, which is gonna occur in the world, and will culminate with a collection of nations who potentially will be coming to attack the Jewish people in the land of Israel.
Who is this nation, Gog and Magog?
And there's different opinions.
One opinion is that actually this refers to certain Christian nations who will come, you could call them, I guess, I don't know, white supremacists.
I don't know what the modern day version of this is.
Uh, we'll see.
There are people, modern-day commentators who say there is a certain Nazi connection and proof that maybe the Nazis were the first part of this battle, and they're gonna come and fight against the Jewish people in the land of Israel, specifically around the city of Jerusalem.
The prophecy of Gog and Magog, this final battle between good and evil that's going to occur at the end of days, before we get to that point and see some various interpretations of what and who is going to be involved in this final battle and where, we're gonna have to see who these people are.
So, who are Gog and Magog?
A later commentator, Targum Yonasan, who wrote around I don't know, 50 BCE, renders the name Magog as Gurmamiah, and the midrash, interesting, says not Germamiah, but Germania.
Meaning that this final battle is going to start and maybe finish with Germany and certain German Germanic people coming to hurt the Jewish people.
That is one interpretation, and that may explain the almost unfathomable uh success, sadly, that the Germans had against the Jewish people during the Second World War.
The Vilna Gaon from 300 years ago has a tradition that actually Gog and Magog could well be Russian, that there's going to be a war which will involve the Russians at the end of days.
And the Russians are gang up together with Paras Kush and Put.
Peras, says the prophet Ezekiel, he refers to Peras, Cush and Put, could well be actually Persia, Paras is Persia, which is modern day Iran.
Cush, we're not too sure about who they are exactly.
Uh, but that lies to the south of Egypt, between the Nile Valley and the Red Sea, which is the eastern part of the Sudan.
Put, according to Josephus, is actually Libya.
So we're seeing that some kind of Middle Eastern battle in the Middle East revolving around Jews who predominantly will be in Israel, which by the way is a brick prediction because the Jews have not predominantly been in the land of Israel for 2,000 years, but it's going to occur at that time.
But one thing we do know is if they do turn up, they're going to attack us.
Why are they attacking us?
One opinion is because they're jealous of the Jewish people, and they see the great success that we're having in Israel and around the world, and that jealousy is going to make them want to attack us and come to fight against us.
The moral of Prague says, No, it's plain and simple anti-Semitism.
Whenever non-Jewish nations want to attack the Jewish people, right through history, whether it's the Babylonians or the Egyptians or Spain exiling us or Polish or Germany, whoever they are, it's pretty much always plain and simple anti-Semitism, and that's who these people are, and we're going to be dealing with anti Semitism right until the end of days.
This is basically anti-Semitism, and this is the people who are against God's people, the Jewish people, and they're coming to attack us, and they're gonna come and hurt us, and that's gonna be this final battle.
Um, some people look at the words of Joel the prophet, who says in chapter 3, verse 3 to 4, that right before Messiah comes, there'll be a final war, and there's gonna be wonders in the heavens and on earth, blood and fire, pillars of smoke, which in Hebrew are called Timrot Ashan.
We actually use that expression uh when describing uh the pillars of smoke that came out of Egypt.
Timrat Ashan, the literal translation of the word Timrat Ashan is Tamar, which is a palm tree of Ashan smoke, a palm tree of smoke, which many modern-day commentators describe as a mushroom cloud.
Okay, some form of nuclear war could well be coming.
Heaven forbid, I want to throw in another nation that is described before the Messiah comes, and that is Amalik.
Now, Amalek appear a number of times in the Bible, in the five books of Moses, actually, Amalik were the first nation who came to attack us right when we left Egypt, and they are seen as the absolute epitome of evil.
According to our commentators, they are unique in their hatred of the Jewish people because most of the people don't like the Jews, but will say something, maybe come to attack us, but mostly they want to just like take our staff, our land, speak bad apart against us, uh pogroms and other terrible things.
A Malik, however, this one nation are a thorn in the side of the Jewish people, even at our highest point when we were leaving Egypt after all the great miracles, and every other nation would have a dead to come and attack us.
It was this one nation of Malik that said, we don't care, we want to destroy the Jewish people.
For sure, for sure, they knew this was a this is important, a suicide mission.
They knew they weren't going to survive, however, their hatred of us was so great and so deep that they wanted nothing more than to damage us as much as possible.
Say the rabbis, whenever you see a nation that illogically wants to hurt us, knowing full well that there's no benefit from killing us.
Actually, it goes against their own survival, potentially, that is a mark that is a sign of a malik.
And for sure, we know a malik still exists, we're not sure where they are.
Um, but whenever you see a nation who comes to attack us for no good reason, not because they want our land or our money or our resources or just to hurt us, that's a malik.
Many people, as we said already, saw Germania, the Germans, as such, the Nazis and Hitler and Machemol, was such a person that he's fighting wars on all fronts, and he's dealing with world war two, and there he is fighting and try to, and yet he's willing still in the midst of all of that, and right to the end, to divert resources to kill a bunch of Jews in concentration camps, right?
Rather than like focusing on a seeing a much bigger battle.
This is a according to the modern day commentators, a very amalik-like trait.
This war of Gog and Magog could well have been fulfilled by the second world war.
The second world war could actually have been the battle of Gog and Magog, and may have resulted in that.
And seemingly characteristically of Amalik's involvement in it and the amount of Jews that died in it, and the description of corpses strewn around the land, could well have been.
Some say it's not possible because the battle of Gog and Magon, the final battle must take place in the land of Israel.
But some say no, it's wherever the Jews are residing, and that could well be Europe where the majority of the Jewish people were actually uh living at that time.
Just one thing on a Malik, one last thing, because we know that the Messiah has a number of missions.
One mission of the Messiah is to finish a Malik off, to remove the evil of this nation.
Amalik are a nation, but they also represent something, just like Gog and Magog are people, according to most opinions, uh, but they represent Gag and Magog, people of the roof people, those who are against God, and those people are for God.
A Malik also represents an idea.
First of all, they're atheists, they're atheists.
Not everyone that attacks the Jews are atheists, right?
We've had many Muslims attack the Jewish people, many Christians, they've been God believers.
But a Malik are singular, that they are absolutely against God and against any form of God representation in this world, very much like the uh the Nazis.
The word a Malik, however, is related to something a little bit different, and it's a little bit deep, but I hope you appreciate it.
And you can look into it yourselves in your own time.
There is a procedure called Malika, Malika.
Malika was actually a kohain who would sharpen his nail, very, very sharp, and would cut the throat of a bird, and that bird was brought as a sacrifice.
Rather than using a knife to cut the throat of this bird, he would use his very sharp thumbnail, thumbnail.
Now, this process of the Kohain taking this bird, small bird, and cutting its throat and killing it is called Malika, separating the head from the body.
A Malik and Malika seemingly say the rabbis are connected.
These this tribe, this nation of a Malik, are known as the people who have their head and body separate.
What does that mean?
That means their heads are great, they're very smart people.
Don't underestimate the power of anti-Semites.
They could be geniuses, they can figure out extremely brilliant ways to bring great destruction to the Jewish people, and for that, sense the entire world, right?
They could be extremely great and brilliant, smart individuals.
However, their heart and their head are malik, they're disconnected.
There's an emotional lacking.
While your brains keep just like the Nazis, they were geniuses.
I heard statistics, I'm not sure if they're actually true, that a vast amount of the people who thought up the final solution and actually carried it out, had PhDs, right?
They weren't dummies.
Oh, they're just idiots.
They're not.
They can be extremely, they're not some like, you know, far-off tribe in the middle of no, you know, wherever, right?
These were extremely Germany in its day was one of the most advanced Western societies in the entire world.
They were leaders in mathematics and music and science and universities, and yet they were able to hurt us.
So don't always think that the greatest anti-Semites who come to attack us are going to be a bunch of thugs, right?
A bunch of, you know, hicks or rednecks are gonna come attack us.
They could well be an extremely advanced and cultured nation, just like the Germans and the Nazis were during the Second World War.
However, there's Second World War, but however, there's a separation.
Their head and their heart, their mind may be great, but it's disconnected from their body.
There's some kind of disconnection, right, between their emotional being and ethical, ethical and moral behavior, and their mental capacity, which may be great, however, their actions are greatly lacking because that's all they went with, their mind.
And that is a fair summary of the final solution as well.
And that's an evil that the messiah is going to have to have to root out as well.
There is a source by a great rabbi called the Natsiv.
And the Natsi was a very respected rabbi in his day, and but he makes a fascinating understanding of this final battle of Gog and Magog.
And he says that actually Gog and Magog may not be a person, but could well be an event.
An event that is going to affect the entire world.
And that's a rare thing, isn't it?
I mean, we know that World War One affected a lot of the world, and World War II affected even more of the world.
However, this event he says could affect way more people.
And he describes Gog and Magog as a magifa, as a pandemic.
Some kind of disease that is gonna spread throughout the world, that is going to baffle scientists, and that is gonna last for a long time, and is really gonna bring the world to its knees.
This maggifa.
Again, I think the only word I can think of to describe this today, and this my great teacher mentioned to me, could well be a pandemic.
And why would that be?
What is the connection between this battle, right?
Which, according to the civ may not actually be a battle, but may be a battle that we need to deal with that is overtaking the entire world.
Whether this battle, this disease was started deliberately, which it could well have been, or accidentally, right?
Both options remain open, and that's something which we may find out, or we may never actually find out.
But either way, we're all still dealing with this pandemic that is covering the entire world.
So the Naziv mentions this idea in his writings that the final battle before the Messiah comes is going to be a pandemic.
I mean, this is a very, very remarkable uh dare I say it, biblical thing that we are seeing.
Just like the Purim story, which actually is a metaphor for the messianic redemption as well.
It's another discussion, another chapter of my book, interestingly, it all turns around, as the commentators tell us, Robby Herz told us the ex-chief rabbi of Blessed Memory of the British Empire.
Until it happens, we don't know what this battle is going to be.
We hear that it could well be a physical battle, or says the Natsiv, it may be a pandemic that will bring us to our knees.
