Radio Renaissance - Jared Taylor - Fighting the Feds on Immigration Aired: 2022-08-26 Duration: 10:17 === New York's Border Dilemma (08:32) === [00:00:04] Hello, I'm Jared Taylor with American Renaissance. [00:00:07] The internet is trying to squelch my videos, so if you like what you see, I hope you'll send the link to a lot of people. [00:00:13] Let's start with a headline. [00:00:15] A majority of Americans see an invasion at the southern border, NPR poll finds. [00:00:20] That included 41% of Democrats. [00:00:23] NPR is shocked. [00:00:25] It doesn't understand why people are embracing increasingly extreme rhetoric around immigration. [00:00:32] Is NPR stupid? [00:00:33] Or just thinks we're stupid. [00:00:35] Here are figures for the past five years for illegals caught at the southern border. [00:00:40] Last year was already a record at 1.6 million. [00:00:43] And the number here for 2022 is already out of date. [00:00:47] It's more than 2 million. [00:00:49] And there's still a month left in the fiscal year. [00:00:52] But NPR can't understand why people call it uninvasion. [00:00:57] Donald Trump tried to control the border. [00:00:59] But Joe Biden and Kamala Harris rang the dinner gong heard round the world. [00:01:04] All you have to do is show up and say the magic word, assign them, and you're probably here for good. [00:01:11] Illegals don't even try to avoid the border patrol. [00:01:14] They march right up to an officer and say, here we are, where's the free stuff? [00:01:19] Agents still carry guns, but they aren't stopping the invasion. [00:01:23] They are babysitters and tour guides. [00:01:26] The Border Patrol used to be a Border Patrol. [00:01:30] The year 2000, 22 years ago, was the record year for apprehensions before the latest surge. [00:01:36] At that time, 98% of border hoppers were Mexicans, and most of them were single men. [00:01:42] There was no silly talk about asylum. [00:01:45] Agents caught them and just bounced them back. [00:01:48] Out of this year's 2 million, only 35% are Mexicans. [00:01:53] The rest are from everywhere else in the world. [00:01:55] And they get special handling. [00:01:57] They come through Mexico because that's the border that's easiest to cross. [00:02:02] How do these people know how to come through? [00:02:05] The New York Post has an article called How Selfies Fuel Rise in Illegal Migrants. [00:02:12] They all have cell phones and internet connections, and they spread the word. [00:02:16] Where are the holes in the border fence? [00:02:18] Who are the best human smugglers? [00:02:20] Who hands out free stuff? [00:02:22] What are the best lies to tell when you claim to be a refugee? [00:02:27] The latest trick is to come as a family, because Democrats love families. [00:02:32] Or if daddy is already here, he can pay a smuggler to bring in the children. [00:02:36] Joe Biden has let in more than a quarter of a million unaccompanied minors, smashing all previous records. [00:02:45] Naturally, the border states are furious about this human tidal wave. [00:02:49] They have to feed, clothe, medicate, house, and try to educate. [00:02:53] But the Supreme Court has ruled over and over that no matter how stupidly the feds handle the border, immigration is a federal policy. [00:03:00] Border states have got to pretty much take whatever the feds let in. [00:03:05] Some states are getting creative. [00:03:07] Governor Greg Abbott of Texas decided to put illegals on buses. [00:03:12] And send them to sanctuary cities that preen themselves on their compassion and generosity until they get a dose of these backpackers themselves. [00:03:21] Back in April 2019, New York City Mayor Eric Adams was tweeting, They're not fleeing hatred or oppression. [00:03:38] They have wrecked their own countries and want to live in ours. [00:03:42] But Governor Abbott took Mayor Adams at his word. [00:03:45] And over the last five months, he bussed about 6,600 asylum seekers to New York. [00:03:51] And so, in August, we got this headline. [00:03:54] A migrant wave tests New York City's identity as the world's sanctuary. [00:03:59] The Times says that at first, the mayor met the buses himself while the TV cameras rolled. [00:04:06] He grabbed free stuff out of the hands of aid workers so he could play Lady Bountiful. [00:04:12] His aides yelled at the travelers to smile at the mayor. [00:04:15] Grateful third-worlders make good TV. [00:04:18] But now the shelters are full, and Lady Bountiful is singing a different tune. [00:04:24] Governor Abbott of Texas used innocent people as political pawns to manufacture a crisis, says the mayor. [00:04:31] Illegal immigrants aren't innocent. [00:04:34] They're lawbreakers. [00:04:35] And it's Joe Biden who caused a crisis, not Governor Abbott. [00:04:39] And what's Mayor Adams' solution? [00:04:42] We need the federal government's help, money, technical assistance, and more. [00:04:47] What? Mr. Open Arms has taken in a little over one day's worth of border hoppers, and he's already squealing for a federal bailout? [00:04:57] How about border control, bonehead? [00:05:01] Washington, D.C. also boasts about being a sanctuary city, so Texas and also Arizona. [00:05:06] Have bussed a few thousand newcomers there, too. [00:05:09] And D.C. is squealing. [00:05:11] Now, Mayor Muriel Bowser says it's a humanitarian crisis and wants the National Guard to take care of all the Haitians and Cubans and who knows what else. [00:05:21] How brazenly shameless. [00:05:24] Jabber about how much you love illegals, so long as they stay in Texas or Arizona. [00:05:30] But back to New York City, where the Times interviewed Carolina Flores, 31. Of course it wouldn't. [00:05:50] Venezuelans aren't insane. [00:05:52] They don't coddle illegals in ways guaranteed to attract millions more. [00:05:57] Here is a useful article on New York. [00:06:01] Homeless shelters are overflowing, and most likely in poor areas, despite fair share promises. [00:06:08] Fair share means there are supposed to be bum shelters all over the city, but would you believe that the rich parts of town somehow manage to keep them out? [00:06:17] They're just like the mayor. [00:06:19] It's so much fun to pretend to be generous when you can make it someone else's problem. [00:06:25] According to this article, the annual budget For the city's Department of Homeless Services is, oh, just guess, more than $3 billion. [00:06:35] The shelters are full, so the department will now splash out for hotel rooms, 5,000 of them. [00:06:42] The Four Star Row Hotel is negotiating to turn over four floors to bus riders. [00:06:48] It's one block from Times Square and everything else that makes New York City the most exciting city in the world. [00:06:55] The row's cheapest room is $239 a night. [00:06:59] But you can hardly squeeze Carolina Flores and her family of six into that. [00:07:05] They deserve at least two bedrooms, each with its own bed, for $1,099 a night. [00:07:11] Times Square will be exciting for Nicaraguan peasants. [00:07:15] And think of the selfies they'll send home. [00:07:18] Governor Abbott's plan is brilliant. [00:07:21] Keep those buses rolling. [00:07:22] $10 billion. [00:07:24] Would be a nice round figure for the Department of Homeless Services budget. [00:07:29] Surely, when East Coast hypocrites actually have to pay for their foolishness, the foolishness will stop? [00:07:36] Don't count on it. [00:07:37] Here are crime figures for the city for this July compared to last July. [00:07:42] Up 30.5%. [00:07:43] And murder at the bottom, up 34.3%. [00:07:47] But what's the mayor doing? [00:07:49] Looking for 5,000 hotel rooms for people who might themselves be criminals. [00:07:54] And it's not just people coming across the border. [00:07:57] Just last week, Joe Biden's very own DEA commissioner said that cartels are killing Americans with fentanyl at rates never seen before. [00:08:08] Two Mexican cartels are shipping in the drugs that killed 107,000 Americans with overdoses last year. [00:08:16] Unlike phony asylum seekers, these guys don't want to be caught. [00:08:20] Here are three lads dressed as tumbleweeds that agents rounded up. === Confrontation with the Feds (01:55) === [00:08:25] This year, we have seen fentanyl busts skyrocket to new high. [00:08:30] Over the last two years, agents stopped more than 20,000 kilograms of fentanyl on the way in. [00:08:37] A lethal dose is 2 milligrams, so that was enough to kill 10 billion people. [00:08:43] And who knows how much more got through. [00:08:46] And every federal agent... [00:08:48] Babysitting Carolina Flores and her children is not in the field catching drug runners. [00:08:53] Disgusting, isn't it? [00:08:55] And that's why we have to think of other ways to fight the feds. [00:08:59] Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida, has set up a grand jury to tackle illegal immigration. [00:09:06] He wants to prosecute people who pay human smugglers to bring family members in. [00:09:11] He says they're guilty of human trafficking. [00:09:14] Great idea. [00:09:15] But this is my favorite. [00:09:17] Arizona gubernatorial candidate Carrie Lake proposes Interstate Compact to halt illegal immigration invasion. [00:09:25] She would invoke Article 4, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees the state's protection from invasion. [00:09:33] Border states would get together, track down illegals, and pitch them out, feds be damned. [00:09:38] That would be exciting. [00:09:40] What if the feds tried to stop the Arizona National Guard? [00:09:44] I can hear them now. [00:09:45] No, no. [00:09:45] Little darlings have to stay here. [00:09:48] This is the kind of confrontation it will take for Joe Biden and his sleazy pals to understand that this is an invasion. [00:09:56] And if the government won't turn it back, the people will. [00:10:13] Videos, discussions, many things that I think will interest you.
