[00:00:07]  The internet is making my videos really hard to find.
[00:00:11]  So if you like it, I hope you'll send the link to a lot of your friends.
[00:00:14]  You've heard of white privilege.
[00:00:16]  It's the idea that white people have all sorts of unearned, undeserved advantages just because we're white.
[00:00:23]  It's part of the 400 years of systemic racism that Joe Biden is busy rooting out.
[00:00:30]  How's he doing with that, by the way?
[00:00:32]  Maybe someone at a press conference will ask you.
[00:00:35]  Well, the people who love to sniff out the awful things that white people do have found another one.
[00:00:41]  We built a vast system of oppression known as family privilege.
[00:00:46]  I bet you had no idea that if you grew up with your mother and father, you benefited from unearned, undeserved family privilege, which is white supremacist.
[00:00:58]  Family privilege was discovered in 2001 by a Michigan State University professor named John Saita.
[00:01:05]  In an article called Growing Up Without Family Privilege, he called it the benefits, mostly invisible, that come from membership in a stable family.
[00:01:16]  The benefits of a stable family are hardly invisible, but never mind.
[00:01:21]  Instead of encouraging all people to try to give their children a stable family, Professor Saita based the idea of family privilege directly on white privilege, which had been discovered just four years earlier in 1997.
[00:01:38]  It's racist, so it's got to go.
[00:01:41]  Any idea that could embarrass white people is going to be popular these days.
[00:01:46]  So family privilege is now at the center of something called family science, which is supposed to study ways to strengthen families.
[00:01:55]  Here is a typical article from the Journal of Family Theory and Review.
[00:02:01]  The title is, White Supremacy and the Web of Family Science, Implications of the Missing Spider.
[00:02:10]  As the abstract explains, family science is at the forefront of understanding the multiple and interconnected risk and protective factors, e.g.
[00:02:20]  poverty versus wealth, racism and discrimination, privilege, that affect families.
[00:02:26]  Remember the title, and the missing spider, which is the evil predator at the center of this web of factors.
[00:02:35]  Guess what that is?
[00:02:37]  White supremacy.
[00:02:40]  There's a group called the National Council on Family Relations that has been around since 1938.
[00:02:47]  It's supposed to be Understanding and Strengthening Families, but it has now gone full-tilt racial justice.
[00:02:55]  In May, it was promoting a seminar called Toward Dismantling Family Privilege and White Supremacy in Family Science.
[00:03:03]  As you can see, Like white privilege, family privilege is an unacknowledged and unearned benefit.
[00:03:11]  Family privilege is bad because it serves to advantage certain family forms over others and is typically bestowed upon white traditional nuclear families.
[00:03:22]  The smiling white lady here is Bethany Letique, who teaches at George Mason University.
[00:03:29]  She was interviewed as part of a family reboot.
[00:03:33]  Yeah, we're going to start all over to explain family privilege.
[00:03:37]  She said that the institution of marriage was designed by white heterosexual men to maintain their power and social economic dominance and control over the other.
[00:03:50]  Well, if you think that's crazy, you're right.
[00:03:53]  Almost every known society has marriage.
[00:03:57]  Japanese were sure getting married long before we even knew they existed.
[00:04:02]  And we apparently tricked New Guineans into marrying too.
[00:04:06]  The evil of the white man knows no bounds of distance or time.
[00:04:11]  What makes family privilege white supremacist, though?
[00:04:15]  There's a non-profit in Washington, D.C. called Family Story that's got it all figured out.
[00:04:21]  Its goal is on the homepage.
[00:04:24]  Family Story works to address and dismantle family privilege in America.
[00:04:30]  The group claims that any child-rearing arrangement is as good as any other.
[00:04:34]  Single parent, same-sex, unmarried couple, strangers or grandparents doing the job.
[00:04:40]  The bigoted idea that the best arrangement for rearing children is a husband, a wife, and their children is the nuclear option.
[00:04:49]  Sounds scary.
[00:04:51]  As the organization explains on its What We Do page, the idea of the traditional nuclear family is rife.
[00:04:59]  With sexist, homophobic, and racist assumptions.
[00:05:03]  Okay, let's start with homophobic.
[00:05:06]  It's true that for a long time, homosexuals couldn't adopt children.
[00:05:10]  Well, are same-sex couples good parents?
[00:05:13]  The first book to cheer on that kind of family that I know of was called Heather Has Two Mommies.
[00:05:20]  Do you know when it was published?
[00:05:22]  1989. Heather is the happiest little girl in the world with her two lesbian mommies.
[00:05:29]  Nowadays, there are scores of books like this.
[00:05:32]  And the Heather family is way out of date.
[00:05:35]  Everyone's white.
[00:05:37]  Here is an illustration from a children's book called Love Makes a Family.
[00:05:42]  Even with the beard, I'm not sure what sex either of these people is.
[00:05:47]  But it doesn't matter.
[00:05:49]  They can be anything, and it's still sure to be a wonderful, loving family.
[00:05:54]  And maybe it is.
[00:05:56]  I once tried to see if there is serious research on what happens when a child grows up with two mommies or two daddies.
[00:06:03]  I couldn't find any.
[00:06:05]  My guess is that it would be hard to get funding for a rigorous study because no one wants to know if living with two daddies makes you grow up a little weird.
[00:06:15]  How about the sexist assumption that single mothers would benefit from having fathers around?
[00:06:22]  Today it would be hard to find any serious scholar who says being reared by a single mother is just as good as having a mother and a father.
[00:06:31]  For a long time, though, people claimed that black single mothers especially had the help of the community.
[00:06:39]  Over and over, we heard what is supposed to be an African proverb.
[00:06:44]  It takes a village to raise a child.
[00:06:47]  Black people have their village, you see.
[00:06:49]  So who cares if dad buggers off?
[00:06:52]  Well, the data are in.
[00:06:54]  If dad is not around, everything is worst.
[00:06:57]  So finally, what's racist about the traditional nuclear family?
[00:07:02]  Just one thing.
[00:07:04]  Black and Hispanic children don't grow up in that kind of family as often as white children do.
[00:07:10]  And there are advantages to being married.
[00:07:13]  There are tax breaks, inheritance breaks, and spouses can't be made to testify against each other.
[00:07:19]  So, if white people are getting more of those goodies, then that proves marriage is evil.
[00:07:26]  Well, here are the figures.
[00:07:27]  Please look at the column on the very left.
[00:07:30]  That's white children.
[00:07:31]  As the blue part shows, 74% of them live with a married couple.
[00:07:36]  The 7% in that yellow part are living with a cohabiting couple.
[00:07:41]  The 12% in the pink are living with mom, and the 3.5% in the orange are living with dad.
[00:07:48]  The 3.3% in the green are in foster care.
[00:07:52]  The second column from the right is black children.
[00:07:55]  As you can see, the part in the blue, only 36% of black children live with married parents.
[00:08:02]  And look at the pink.
[00:08:03]  43.9% live with mom.
[00:08:07]  Next is the Hispanic column, but look at the very right.
[00:08:10]  The column with the Asians.
[00:08:12]  84.9% of Asian children, that's more than 10% more than the white children, live with a married mom and dad.
[00:08:22]  Well, Bethany Latik says white men invented marriage to dominate everyone else.
[00:08:28]  Asians get married more than we do.
[00:08:30]  Does that mean they love being dominated?
[00:08:33]  Or does it mean they're going to dominate everybody else?
[00:08:36]  This stuff is obviously loony.
[00:08:39]  There is nothing stopping black people from getting married, and they benefit from stable households just like everyone else.
[00:08:46]  But instead of encouraging them to marry, the idea is to destroy family privilege by getting rid of every incentive to marry and build a stable household.
[00:08:58]  Black Lives Matter used to be part of this.
[00:09:01]  On its What We Believe page, it said, We disrupt.

[00:09:06]  The Western Prescribed Nuclear Family Structure.
[00:09:09]  Well, maybe that bothered some of the corporations that were giving them billions, because now that page is gone.
[00:09:16]  BLM must be going soft.
[00:09:18]  But this attack on the Western Prescribed Nuclear Family is just one more destructive example of a horrible trend.
[00:09:28]  If black people are less likely than white people to do something we always thought was good, then it never was good.
[00:09:35]  If blacks can't meet standards, just get rid of the standards.
[00:09:39]  That's why we decriminalize crimes such as transit fare beating, loitering, public urination, and shoplifting.
[00:09:49]  If non-whites are arrested for these crimes more often than whites, that's white supremacy, and the laws have got to go.
[00:09:57]  Do you remember the list of awful white traits that the Smithsonian's Black History Museum posted?
[00:10:04]  It included the scientific method, hard work, self-reliance, and being on time.
[00:10:10]  This is just part of it.
[00:10:13]  These things are bad because white people cruelly force them on nine whites.
[00:10:18]  And now, expecting students to get the right answer in math or to use good grammar, that's white supremacy.
[00:10:25]  We have to get rid of the SAT because whites outscore blacks and Hispanics.
[00:10:31]  Abolish gifted classes because they're too white and Asian.
[00:10:36]  End school suspensions because not enough white children are breaking the rules.
[00:10:40]  Stable, traditional families are only the latest injustice.
[00:10:45]  The family has got to go because a lot of non-whites don't live that way.
[00:10:51]  We solve the problem by eliminating standards for everyone.
[00:10:55]  None of this would be likely to happen in an all-white society.
[00:10:59]  During the so-called civil rights era, 60 years ago, the idea was that black people were going to become just like white people.
[00:11:08]  But it turned out they couldn't, or they wouldn't.
[00:11:12]  Asking them to change became white supremacy.
[00:11:15]  So, we get rid of standards for everyone.
[00:11:19]  There will be justice and equity only when white people are as poor and irresponsible and degenerate as blacks.
[00:11:27]  Any advantage, natural or cultivated, will have to go in what is ultimately a war on excellence and achievement of any kind.
[00:11:37]  We have a wonderful future in store, don't we?
