Jared Taylor: 'Building a World Brotherhood of Europeans'

Our next guest needs no introduction.
He's first time here in Ireland.
It's my great honor to introduce Jared Taylor.
Well, thank you very much, Martin.
As he explained to you, it is my first time here.
I'm delighted to be here.
And as Millennial Woes was remarking, it's just startlingly white, at least, those of us coming from the Third World, as I do.
No, it's really, I'm going to be here for another three, four, five days, and I'm really looking forward to it.
First time in Ireland, and I don't suspect it'll be my last.
Really a very, it's a wonderful place.
What I'd like to speak to you about today is what I call the Worldwide Brotherhood of Europeans.
Now, why do I, as an American, come to talk about Europeans?
After all, I'm about as American as a human being can possibly be.
The first tailor came to the colonies in 1635, and on both sides of my family, we were firmly implanted in North America well before the revolution against England.
But my ancestors fought in every war, they voted in every election, and they have buried their bones throughout the United States, though mostly in the South.
Still, I very much consider myself a European.
The people who founded the United States were European in every important respect.
Their language, their culture, their way of looking at the world, their religion, everything about them was exclusively and fundamentally My blood is mostly English, sorry, but also Scots,
Dutch, a little French Huguenot, and therefore Europe is very much my ancestral and spiritual and cultural home.
And it is also the cultural and ancestral home for millions of other Europeans who have spread all around the world, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa.
All those people, too, they took the torch of Europe far overseas, and they built lands that are unmistakably part of Europe and part of the West.
And when I speak of Europe, I talk about not just this priceless cultural heritage we have, but an equally priceless genetic heritage.
Our culture as Europeans cannot be separated from the distinct people that created it.
We are the same tribe, and all of us in this room have a much closer genetic association to every other European than we do to anyone whose origins are from outside of Europe.
And I believe that in order to understand Europe, to love it and defend it, it's essential to understand that we are all of one race.
No other race of people could have created this civilization.
And no other race will carry it forward in a meaningful way.
Where you find our people, you find our civilization.
And when you find our civilization, you also find our people.
So all Europeans are our extended family.
And it is natural and normal for us to love our extended family.
And we hope that this group of people will go on forever.
Each of us will die.
But we each play a tiny role in the history of the European people, and we wish our heritage to continue as far into the future as it's possible to see.
We want it never to die.
Of course, alas, it is threatened with death.
And let me begin by speaking about my own country, the United States.
As many of you probably know, in 1960, the United States was about 90% white.
And we had an immigration policy that was designed to maintain a white majority.
And this immigration policy continued until about 1965.
And since that time, the number of whites has dropped from nearly 90% to about 62 or 3%.
And according to all present predictions, in 26 years, the people who built the country, the founding stock of the United States, will be a minority population.
And my country is rapidly ceasing to be an outpost of Europe and with catastrophic results.
Normally, it's very difficult to predict the future.
But for us, it's very easy to see the demographic future of the United States.
All we have to do is go to Detroit, or Newark, or East St. Louis, or big chunks of Chicago, Los Angeles, and the future is there.
So instead of Europe, we have outposts of Africa, Latin America, Asian.
And what is it that white people do when the place they grew up in changes in character in every way?
Of course, they run away.
They refuse to live in those parts of the United States that cease to be Europe.
And yet, they all refuse, with very few exceptions, they refuse to raise their voice against this process of displacement that makes more and more parts of the United States those places where they themselves refuse to live.
And by any standard, what is happening to my country is a catastrophe.
However, instead of recognizing this as a catastrophe, we have twisted our minds into mental pretzels, and we insist on calling it a blessing.
I'm sure, as you know, the motto of the United States today is, diversity is our strength.
And there are those who would tell you that diversity is America's greatest strength.
Of course, this is diversity.
That celebrates every possible mix of language or religion, but particularly race.
And of course, diversity is a terrible weakness.
Anyone with two functioning eyes understands that it is a source of tension.
It's a source of conflict.
It destroys trust.
And all around the world where you see people most diligently slaughtering each other, it's because diverse people are trying to live in the same territory.
This is a law of nature.
And no matter how loudly Americans shout diversity is our strength, they cannot rewrite the laws of nature.
For American whites to be celebrating diversity is to commit suicide.
It means replacement of European people and culture with non-Europeans.
And of course, this sickness has crossed the Atlantic and now affects most of the countries of Europe.
In Britain, for example, I understand that current projections are whites to become minority about the year 2066.
You'll all be alive when that happy day comes.
France, Germany, all moving in the same direction.
And in the future, we see people coming from the third world from various origins now, but the great push in the future will be from Africa.
Africa is where there is a tremendous explosion of population.
In 1950, the entire continent of Africa had only about 150 million people living in it.
At that time, there were three times as many Europeans as there were Africans.
By 2050, and these are reliable UN projections, this is just 100 years later, and not that far in the future, the population of Africa will have increased more than 16-fold, and there will be three times as many Africans as Europeans.
2.5 billion of them.
And I can assure you they won't want to stay in Africa.
They will want to come live with you.
And throughout Europe, our governments are permitting this kind of change.
Our rulers do not seem to understand that there is no more important treasure than our unique culture of the West and the genetics that produce that culture.
This is so important that this must be protected by the strongest possible means, which is the power of the state.
And what our rulers are doing.
Is betraying the most important responsibility that they could possibly have.
From a cultural or from a genetic point of view, displacement of populations of this kind is really no different from armed invasion.
An immigration policy is also, when you think about it, it is an evolutionary policy.
Because when...
The genes of the local population accept a large number of Somalis or Pakistanis.
There's been a sudden evolution of Britain or Ireland or France in the direction of Pakistan or Somalia.
Immigration policy is evolutionary policy.
Now, as you know, it's fashionable to say that race doesn't exist.
It's some kind of sociological optical illusion.
I like to say that this is such an obviously wrong and stupid view that only very intelligent people could possibly persuade themselves of it.
Of course, it's a way of softening us up for dispossession.
It's like saying to us, no, no, don't worry.
These people are not foreigners.
You're being replaced by yourself because these distinctions are not real.
They are not biological.
Of course, only white people believe this nonsense.
Say what you like about the average IQ of Africans.
They are not fooled by this silliness.
There's probably not one Nigerian or Turk or Japanese alive who thinks that race is some sort of illusion and that these population changes wouldn't make a bit of difference.
But in the name of this deluded ideology of diversity, the United States is destroying itself.
And my government, which once defended the European quality of my nation, is now wrecking it.
Its own rulers are building up the bonfires that will destroy it.
Angela Merkel, of course, is doing exactly the same thing in Germany.
Practically on her sole authority, she opened up the gates to the entire continent to essentially any foreigner who could manage to sneak into Europe.
And if you ask yourself, throughout the history of the West, can you think of any individual traitor who so extraordinarily betrayed the trust of his people to the extent that Angela Merkel has done?
I think you have to go all the way back to Ephialtes the Malian.
You all know about Ephialtes?
Yes, he's the lad at the Battle of Thermopylae who showed the Persians.
The mountain route around the pass so they could get around and the Spartans were not able to save Greece at that time.
I think you have to go all the way back to him to find a single-handed act of treachery to that degree and to that extent.
Now, the United States is encouraging this kind of treachery.
The United States takes the position that Wesley Clark took.
He was an American general, and he was involved in the bombing of Serbia at the time of the NATO involvement there.
He said that, let's see if I can quote him, let's see, he said, there is no place in modern Europe For ethnically pure states, that's a 19th century idea.
And we are trying to transition into the 21st century, and we are going to do it with multi-ethnic states.
This is an American general basically saying the United States of America is going to condemn every one of you European countries to multiracialism.
And the United States, although it is in the process of destroying itself, still has enormous power.
Enormous influence all around the world, and that will continue for some time.
But my country has become the greatest enemy on earth of any kind of healthy European nationalism.
If you wish to commit suicide, we will help you.
If you want to live, we will oppose you.
And what this means is that we are undertaking an ideological program That is just as revolutionary as the one that was started by Lenin in 1917,
100 years ago.
The replacement of a people, I believe, is just as much an earth-shattering change, even more so than seizing the means of production of whatever it was that the communists really wanted to do.
And just as the communists...
Faced opposition.
This globalist movement, this American origin movement of mixing every population, reducing whites everywhere to minority, it too is facing opposition because the American project, just like the Communist project, flies in the face of human nature.
And when you are trying to institute a policy that flies in the face of human nature, you have to mobilize all the means at your disposal to try to keep healthy people sick, to try to prevent them from operating and thinking in ways that are obviously correct and true.
Now, in Europe, we have already done this, as Millennial Bowes was explaining earlier, through these...
Anti-free speech laws.
This is a very important part of trying to keep Europeans in this unhealthy, denatured state of mind.
In the United States, we face the same problem, not because of direct and explicit government intervention, but because huge Internet companies have decided these ideas are off limits.
They have taken upon themselves the role of the commissar censors of the Soviet Union.
To decide what are the bounds of permissible expression, what we call deplatforming.
And my organization, American Renaissance, has been victim of this sort of thing as well.
And you can imagine a future in which every opportunity to use the Internet is denied.
Every dissenting voice.
We're not there yet, but it's something we can certainly easily imagine.
They're, of course, trying to silence any voice that opposes their project, which I believe can be characterized as just as totalitarian as anything Lenin or Stalin ever envisaged.
This is a completely new concept of trying to design society.
So the greatest threat to Europe is not the millions.
The tens of millions who will want to come from Africa and who already have come from the Middle East, that's not the threat.
The threat is not the smugglers who bring them in.
All of these people would stop with no difficulty at all.
The real threat is this poisonous ideology that has...
That has defanged us, that has neutered us, that has turned us into this spineless group of people, the like of which I think has never walked the face of the earth.
We're doing something that is historically without precedent.
Western Europe has already swallowed an enormous dose of this poison, and the United States continues to export it, not just in its official policies, but through the medium of movies, television, music, etc.
Now, we are cut off, I believe, not just from our ancestors.
We're cut off from our contemporaries.
In the West, we tend to be individuals, atomized.
What we are most, what we are best at is consuming.
Trying to make our lives as comfortable as possible.
And this atomization leaves us without a sense of heritage or destiny and certainly without a sense of duty.
And unless we are able to rekindle a sense of peoplehood...
Just as all non-whites seem to have this basic sense of being in it together, a sense of peoplehood, if we're unable to do that, we face, as Millennial Woese was saying, oblivion.
We have to see ourselves as links in this chain that goes back 2,500 years in the past and should go forward forever.
Now, there are parts of Europe that have so far avoided This terrible poison, certainly to the extent that we have suffered from it.
I don't know how many of you are old enough to remember how much we used to pity the countries on the other side of what we called the Iron Curtain.
Oh, these poor people under the yoke of communism living in such desperate, dire straits.
Well, they avoided the poisons that are killing us.
And so, having avoided this kind of paralysis, we have governments.
In the eastern part of Europe, that are almost as healthy as anything we would wish to establish in the West.
Viktor Orban of Hungary, he's one of my favorite politicians.
In 2016, he said, at last the peoples of Europe have understood that the principles of life that Europe has been built on are in mortal danger.
Mass migration is masquerading as a humanitarian cause, but its true nature is the occupation of territory.
In 2016, same year, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, he says, Islam has no place in Slovakia.
Migrants change the character of our country.
We do not want the character of this country to change.
What could be more straightforward or healthy than that?
And also just this year, the former Czech Republic president, Václav Klaus, he says, we refuse to permit the transformation of our country into a multicultural society, as we currently see in France and in Great Britain.
Now, I don't know if you followed the career of Beate Schidlow, who was the current Prime Minister of Poland.
The predecessor government had agreed with the European Union.
They were going to take in their due quota of Middle Eastern so-called refugees.
Well, she campaigned against this, and she won.
And she looked the Chancellor of Germany in the face on their first meeting and said, Angela, baby, you can keep your muzzies.
I'm paraphrasing, of course.
But this is a remarkable expression of national cohesion and solidity.
This kind of government is possible for white people.
And to me, it is hugely gratifying that there's not just one such government, but the whole Visigard group, even places like Slovenia, the Baltic Republics.
All of them, the ones that were suffering under communism, and Russia as well, they tend to have a much, much healthier view of nation, of peoplehood.
It's so ironic that those countries that were living under an ideology that was expressly universalist and anti-religious are the most religious and the most nationalist today.
I think also one of the reasons that they are healthy is that they have seen what appeared to be permanent regimes crumble practically overnight.
They know that nothing is permanent.
Things can change.
They also, I think, were trained, or they discovered very early on, that what they were being told by their rulers and by their media was a pack of lies.
They're much more skeptical, much more suspicious, and they preserved a much healthier view of what their society should be like.
I think with the understanding that it is possible for whites still to maintain a healthy sense of peoplehood, we must try to persuade enough people in the West to vote in governments of that kind.
I think there's still a chance that that can be done, and we should work as hard as possible to do that.
Our survival, therefore, depends on changing people's minds.
More people have to think like us.
And when enough people do, then solutions will be found.
This means that we are, in effect, salesmen.
And all of the psychological rules of persuasion apply to what we are doing.
Of course, we're working at a terrible disadvantage because our opponents don't just think that we are wrong or mistaken.
Many of them are convinced that we are evil.
If you speak in the name of our race, people will immediately look for the slightest excuse to discredit you.
Any excuse at all.
It can be the way you wear your hair.
It can be the clothes that you're wearing, your accent.
They want to find some reason to think to themselves, this guy is unhinged.
We can ignore everything he says.
And for that reason, I think it's important for the spokesman for our race to be as normal, as unattractive, as pleasant as possible.
We must never appear mean-spirited, threatening, or angry.
And, of course, this is very hard because of all the populations on earth, I think we have the most reason to be furious, furious at the betrayal of our people by our rulers.
But anger, mean-spiritedness, these will instantly be excuses for our opponents to ignore us and dismiss us.
We have to be generous to our opponents.
We have to acknowledge Their sincerity.
And I think many of them are sincere.
And we must realize that our fellow whites, even those who are working objectively, from an objective sense, are working for our destruction, they're still part of our family.
And some of them will have to change their minds if there are enough of us to effect any kind of change.
For that reason, if you're ever in a debate, With people who are objectively working towards demise, never try to crush or humiliate them.
We can point out their errors, but eventually some of them will have to be our allies, and generosity is always more attractive than triumphalism or bitterness.
Let me return to this idea of the brotherhood of Europeans.
I'm not, of course, saying that all Europeans are the same, not at all.
Within Europe, there are nations, and within the nations, there are regions.
All have their beautiful and unique qualities.
I want them all to prosper and to grow and for their uniqueness to thrive.
And I know that Europeans haven't always been good neighbors to each other.
In the taxi on the way from the airport, the driver spoke of the black and tans without much affection, I must say.
And you might very well ask, well, what's a bloody yank got to tell us about living with neighbors that don't like us?
What's a bloody yank got to say about being occupied, humiliated?
Well, maybe more than you think.
My ancestors, male ancestors of military age, all fought for the Confederacy.
And so we know something about occupation and humiliation.
But now, Northerners and Southerners, we work together for a cause that's vastly more important than the secular differences that used to divide us.
Europeans must all do the same thing.
In Eastern Europe, where they are still healthy, in a place like Hungary, the debate appears to be, who do we hate more?
Do we hate the Slovaks or do we hate the Romanians more?
I want to tell them, you've got bigger fish to fry.
These are old, old conflicts.
You have much worse threats than Slovaks or Romanians.
And so, we're all part of this great family.
And although our governments across the sea do not speak to us, our voices are raised for you.
We are your brothers and your sisters.
So let me reiterate the main themes that I wanted to bring up.
Europe is wherever you find Europeans, whether it's on the continent of Europe or wherever Europeans have established themselves.
We are not just a culture.
We are a people.
We are a way of being.
And finally, we are in a life-and-death struggle against displacement.
And what makes our struggle particularly tragic is that the people who are engineering this displacement are, in many cases, our own flesh and blood.
It makes the enemy that much more difficult to tangle with.
But we are all comrades in this struggle for the defense of everything we love, the defense of Europe.
Now, I'd like to conclude by reading a passage from one of my favorite history books.
It's called Russia and the West under Lenin and Stalin by the American diplomat George Kennan.
Now, this is Kennan writing about Bolsheviks.
And let me point out that he despised, he hated the Bolsheviks.
He thought communism was a terrible, bloody dead end.
But this was what this very shrewd judge of men said about them.
It was a startling experience for European diplomats and businessmen.
After long immersion in the Western society of the day, where the accent was so extensively on individualism, on personal vanity, on social rivalry and snobbishness, to encounter men who had a burning social faith and were relentless and incorruptible in the pursuit of it.
The Soviet leaders knew what they wanted.
They worked day and night to carry it into effect.
They gave no thought to themselves.
They demanded discipline from others.
They accepted it for themselves.
In their seriousness of purpose, in their forthright simplicity of their behavior, in their refusal to bother about non-essentials, in their contemptuous rejection of personal considerations to the needs of the movement.
These are the qualities of men who make history.
And I ask you, will anyone, even our friends, say such things about us?
This is George Kennan describing enemies.
These were people who devoted themselves to a terrible, destructive, murderous cause, but they did it so faithfully, so tenaciously, that George Kennan couldn't help but admire them.
We, it should be much easier for us to devote ourselves to a far more beautiful and necessary cause, which is a destiny for our children and their children.
