Radio Renaissance - Jared Taylor - Who Are We Aired: 2021-03-23 Duration: 06:59 === White Advocate Explained (06:48) === [00:00:03] Hello, I'm Jared Taylor with American Renaissance. [00:00:07] I care deeply about the future of Europeans wherever they have taken their culture, which is to say that I care about whites and Western civilization, and I believe our civilization can be carried forward only by the biological descendants of the people who created it. [00:00:24] Whites have the right, they have the duty to remain the majority in their own lands. [00:00:30] A hundred years ago, virtually all whites understood this. [00:00:33] Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, they were all rooted in a particular people, the people of Europe, and they could not have imagined being displaced by others. [00:00:46] Today, whites are supposed to welcome displacement. [00:00:50] We're supposed to believe that we should open our homelands to every kind of outsider in the name of diversity. [00:00:57] Of course, some of us know better. [00:01:00] Every day, more and more of us know better. [00:01:03] We know that diversity, for us, is slow suicide. [00:01:07] And we refuse to help build a future in which our own children will be minorities, perhaps hated minorities, in the nations our ancestors built. [00:01:17] Our refusal to commit suicide is, of course, healthy, normal. [00:01:23] People who don't commit suicide, whether as individuals or groups, are so obviously normal, there isn't even a word for them. [00:01:31] That's why there's no good word to describe us, just as there is no word to describe people who put their pants on one leg at a time or who eat when they're hungry. [00:01:42] These things are so normal, so universal, that no one ever thought to give them a name. [00:01:48] But whites are the only people for whom wanting to survive is not considered normal. [00:01:55] Think of it this way. [00:01:57] What do you call a black person who prefers black culture, listens to black music, and prefers to be around other black people? [00:02:04] A black person. [00:02:06] What do you call a white person who prefers Western culture, listens to classical music, and prefers to be around other white people? [00:02:14] A white supremacist. [00:02:17] Blacks who have a racial identity, or Hispanics, or Asians, or anyone else, are so normal that no one even notices. [00:02:25] This is true all around the world. [00:02:28] What do you call a Japanese who thinks Japan should stay Japanese? [00:02:31] Or an Israeli who thinks Israel should stay Jewish? [00:02:35] Or a Tibetan who doesn't want his country turning Chinese? [00:02:39] Or a Nigerian who wants Nigeria to stay black and Nigerian? [00:02:44] But what do you call a Frenchman who thinks France should stay French? [00:02:49] Oh, that's different. [00:02:50] He's a neo-Nazi. [00:02:52] Only for white people are normal, healthy, universal preferences considered some kind of sickness, and it is only in our case that we are forced to come up with a word to describe what should be so obvious and so normal that it shouldn't even require a word. [00:03:10] We're forced to do this because our opponents have words for us, and they're all slurs. [00:03:17] White supremacist is their favorite. [00:03:20] Anti-whites like it. [00:03:21] Because it's supposed to make you think of slavery and lynching. [00:03:24] They want to make us sound morally loathsome. [00:03:28] And then, of course, there's racist. [00:03:31] Remember, it's never racist for blacks to want to preserve black institutions or to want to spend their time with blacks or to think of themselves as African Americans. [00:03:42] That's healthy. [00:03:43] And that's why some people in our circles think the word racist can be rehabilitated to mean someone with a healthy racial consciousness, even a white person. [00:03:54] I think that'll never work. [00:03:56] Racist will always imply moral inferiority. [00:04:00] We have to choose our own words. [00:04:03] People who favor legal abortion don't let you call them baby killers. [00:04:07] They say instead that they support, quote, a woman's right to choose. [00:04:12] It's the same for us. [00:04:13] We need accurate, attractive words for who we are. [00:04:17] Some in our circles like the term"white nationalist." I don't. [00:04:22] For most people, it sounds dangerous. [00:04:25] It implies breaking the United States up into enclaves or even expelling non-whites. [00:04:30] And when you talk about Kurdish nationalists or Basque nationalists, there's always the whiff of violence. [00:04:37] Here are Kurdish nationalists defending their nation. [00:04:41] This is what the word nationalist means to a lot of people. [00:04:46] Some call themselves white separatists. [00:04:49] Separation could be voluntary, but it could also imply forcible separation. [00:04:54] That shocks people, too. [00:04:56] It's increasingly popular to talk about the alternative right or alt-right. [00:05:01] That's non-threatening, but I don't think it's accurate. [00:05:04] What we believe isn't an alternative in the way liberals talk about Alternative lifestyles. [00:05:12] Our positions are healthy and true and aren't an alternative. [00:05:17] Any more than being healthy is just an alternative to being sick. [00:05:21] Health is good and sickness is bad. [00:05:24] Period. They aren't alternatives. [00:05:27] Also, a correct understanding of race and of other questions sometimes included in the alternative right doesn't have to be either right or left. [00:05:37] You can be a lefty. [00:05:38] On the role of government, foreign aid, trade, welfare, plenty of other things and still have a sound view of race. [00:05:46] We should leave the door open to people of all political views who agree with us on race. [00:05:53] Identitarian is another term that's popular in our circles. [00:05:57] It sounds positive. [00:05:58] What could be wrong with having an identity? [00:06:00] The trouble is, the word doesn't exist in English. [00:06:04] It has to be explained. [00:06:05] It's best to use words people understand right away. [00:06:10] That's why I think the best term for us is"white advocate." It's clear what it means, and it isn't threatening. [00:06:17] It means we're speaking for whites, for our own people. [00:06:21] And an advocate is someone who makes a case without the slightest hint of violence. [00:06:27] Advocates support their positions with facts. [00:06:32] Advocacy doesn't commit us to any specific program or policy the word nationalist does. === Name We Chose (00:22) === [00:06:38] It commits us only to a people, to advancing our legitimate interests, whatever they may be. [00:06:46] Different expressions become popular in unpredictable ways, and there's no telling what will catch on. [00:06:52] But we need a name for ourselves that we have chosen, not one that people who hate us have chosen.
