Radio Renaissance - Jared Taylor - A Cure for Racism? Aired: 2021-02-18 Duration: 07:14 === Medicalizing Racism (07:09) === [00:00:04] Hello, I'm Jared Taylor with American Renaissance. [00:00:08] The Soviet Union is gone, but it's not forgotten. [00:00:11] I've been thinking about the way it treated political dissidents in the 1960s and 70s. [00:00:17] Those were people who disagreed with official dogma, people who refused to believe that the Soviet Union was paradise. [00:00:25] Sometimes they were treated as criminals and shot or just sent to labor camps, but some were treated as if they had a mental illness. [00:00:33] You see, the theory was, Marxism was so self-evidently true that you had to be insane not to believe in the Soviet system. [00:00:43] The United States has an official dogma, just like the Soviet Union. [00:00:48] If you think race is a biological reality, if you think diversity is a weakness, if you prefer a community or a nation of whites, then you're a racist. [00:00:59] You're a dissident. [00:01:01] And just like in the Soviet Union, some people think you have a mental illness. [00:01:07] Every one of the Democrats who want to be president will tell you racism is just about the worst problem the country faces. [00:01:15] They'd love to cure this disease. [00:01:18] This Slate article asks, is racism a disease? [00:01:22] It fantasizes about a pill that a doctor could use to cure you. [00:01:27] Here is an article in a SAGE publication called Medicalizing Racism. [00:01:33] It notes that psychologists have names of this condition, such as intolerant personality disorder or pathological bias. [00:01:42] The Soviets had a name for the mental illness of their dissidents. [00:01:46] They called it sluggish schizophrenia. [00:01:49] Naming it makes it real, right? [00:01:52] On the next page of the same article, a doctor is handing out a prescription to cure racism. [00:01:58] Well, science marches on. [00:02:01] Some people think the drug propanolol can make you less suspicious of people of other races. [00:02:06] Less racist. [00:02:08] Propanolol is used to treat high blood pressure and anxiety and is thought to block parts of the nervous system that deal with external threats. [00:02:17] Researchers at Oxford claim that you feed people this stuff. [00:02:21] They score lower on a test that's supposed to measure racism. [00:02:26] Sylvia Terbeck, who wrote this up in the journal Psychopharmacology, claimed that her findings were, in her words, of considerable ethical interest. [00:02:37] The Daily Beast was excited. [00:02:39] Can the heart and blood pressure pill Topanolol cure racism? [00:02:45] And here's another headline for you. [00:02:47] Disabling parts of the brain with magnets can weaken faith in God and change attitudes to migrants, study finds. [00:02:56] That's a twofer for the liberals. [00:02:59] The trick was to send strong magnetic currents right through the skull to a part of the brain called the posterior medial frontal cortex, the PMFC as it's known to its friends. [00:03:13] It decides to respond to threats. [00:03:17] Well, if the PMFC has been disabled, you ignore the threat. [00:03:22] In this"what me worry" state of mind, you believe less strongly in God and don't care about outsiders. [00:03:30] As the scientists explained in a paper, they: By down-regulating PMFC activity via transcranial magnetic stimulation, [00:03:51] the results provide the first evidence that group prejudice and religious beliefs are susceptible to targeted neuromodulation. [00:04:01] Are you ready for a little neuromodulation? [00:04:04] Earlier this year, Salon published an article called Racism on the Brain. [00:04:10] A neuroscientist explains how the world moved right. [00:04:15] Nice photo, don't you think? [00:04:17] Salon wanted to know whether there are, and I quote, drugs that could be used to medicate and otherwise help malignant racists. [00:04:25] The neuroscientist, someone named Bobby Azarian, says it's too early in our understanding of the brain to try a pharmacological treatment for racism. [00:04:37] So, we're not quite there. [00:04:38] Not yet, anyway. [00:04:40] And, of course, you don't actually have to do anything to be racist. [00:04:45] All it takes is a few words to prove you have intolerant personality disorder. [00:04:51] Google could track what you do online and decide that you're a racist. [00:04:56] Remember the stories about Google figuring out that women were pregnant before they knew it themselves? [00:05:02] Even lefties are worried about some of this stuff. [00:05:06] Marxist Slavoj Zizek. [00:05:08] is one of the world's most famous philosophers. [00:05:11] He wants to know who will control merged human-AI digital space. [00:05:17] He says, never forget that attempts to control us always begin like this. [00:05:22] We will be automatically checked up, controlled for our health, but also for our purchases, for our political opinions, for our voting, and so on. [00:05:30] A computer will literally know us better than we know ourselves. [00:05:35] Well, lefties already think they know who's a racist. [00:05:39] With artificial intelligence, nobody could hide. [00:05:42] And when they catch bad white people, why not forcibly cure them? [00:05:47] It's a public health issue. [00:05:49] The authorities can quarantine you if you have cholera or diphtheria. [00:05:53] And what's cholera compared to racism? [00:05:57] As it happens, there is a group of people who score close to zero on tests for racism. [00:06:03] And you know why? [00:06:04] They have a neurological disorder, a genetic defect called Williams Syndrome. [00:06:10] It's a mild form of retardation. [00:06:13] The part of the brain that deals with threats doesn't work. [00:06:17] For these people, everyone seems like a friend. [00:06:21] They have complete trust in total strangers. [00:06:23] It's a nightmare for their parents. [00:06:25] But they are the only people in the world for whom race really doesn't matter. [00:06:31] If lefties had their way, And if there was some chemical or magnetic or surgical way to do it, I bet they'd be happy to give someone like me the equivalent of Williams Syndrome. [00:06:42] They want to take healthy people and turn them into defectives. [00:06:46] That's where you end up when you think the most dangerous and horrifying thing anyone could be is whatever it is they call racist. [00:06:56] Race realism is not dangerous. [00:06:58] It's not a mental disorder or a condition that needs to be cured. [00:07:02] It's common sense. [00:07:04] It's the truth. [00:07:05] And it's the key to recovering our dignity as a people and restoring our country and the entire West to greatness.
