Radio Renaissance - Jared Taylor - Trump Hints at the Truth About Baltimore Aired: 2021-01-24 Duration: 08:05 === Democrats Want Race Talk (02:18) === [00:00:03] Hello, I'm Jared Taylor with American Renaissance. [00:00:08] Liberals always tell us we need to talk about race. [00:00:11] In his second term, Bill Clinton decided that his legacy should be all about the wonderful things he did for black people. [00:00:19] He launched something called the President's Initiative on Race that issued a fancy report: One America in the 21st Century: Forging a New Future. [00:00:30] I don't think anyone ever read it. [00:00:32] President Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, called us a nation of cowards because we won't talk honestly about race. [00:00:41] At the time, I wrote him and offered to talk honestly about race with him any time. [00:00:46] He never wrote back. [00:00:48] Now, Democrats want to put race at the heart of the 2020 presidential campaign. [00:00:54] Last month, Vox complained that Democrats didn't talk enough about racism in their first primary debate. [00:01:02] Well, sure enough, in the second debate, Senator Kamala Harris said, I would like to speak on the issue of race, before she tucked into Joe Biden. [00:01:12] So-called anti-racism educator Tim Wise explained in the Washington Post last week how Democrats can beat Donald Trump in 2020. [00:01:22] Don't worry about policy. [00:01:24] Just talk nonstop about racism and turn the election into a moral campaign. [00:01:31] So Democrats want a conversation about race? [00:01:33] Well, they just got one. [00:01:35] Over the weekend, Donald Trump tweeted about Elijah Cummings, who represents Baltimore. [00:01:42] Cummings District is a disgusting, rat- and rodent-infested mess. [00:01:47] If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous and filthy place. [00:01:54] The president added that Mr. Cummings District is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. [00:02:03] Well, Democrats erupted into the only kind of conversation they ever have about race. === Baltimore's Grim Reality (04:24) === [00:02:09] They screamed. [00:02:11] Bernie Sanders called Donald Trump a racist president. [00:02:15] Well, oddly, in 2015, he sounded just like Mr. Trump after he took a walk through the city. [00:02:22] The fact of the matter is, is that America is the wealthiest country in the history of the world. [00:02:28] But anyone who took the walk that we took around this neighborhood would not think you [00:02:34] Mr. Trump also got a scolding from David Simon, who started the TV series The Wire. [00:02:46] It's about Baltimore drug crime, and it makes the city look pretty grim. [00:02:51] Mr. Simon wrote this: You dope. [00:02:54] The show addressed itself to the systemic and historical forces arrayed against the American city for generations. [00:03:03] It wasn't so submoronic as to argue that one U.S. representative could be held accountable for U.S. urban policy or lack thereof. [00:03:12] For that, we require Trump. [00:03:16] Systemic and historical forces. [00:03:19] That's the problem. [00:03:20] As usual, it's our fault. [00:03:23] Well, this didn't stop Mr. Trump. [00:03:25] He tweeted a video of Baltimore's dilapidation. [00:03:28] And he taunted Elijah Cummings about the city's sky-high crime rate. [00:03:34] But back to what The Wire said about crime. [00:03:37] Here's a little scene from the show. [00:03:40] This city's going to hell, man. [00:03:44] We're going to push past 300 murders before New Year's. [00:03:47] Shit is fucked. [00:03:50] In The Wire, which ended in 2008, 300 murders a year was a nightmare scenario for the future. [00:03:57] Well, it's been over 300 for the last four years, and this year could well set an all-time record. [00:04:05] Baltimore has the highest murder rate of any big American city. [00:04:08] At 56 per 100,000 people, it's higher than in Guatemala, Honduras, or El Salvador. [00:04:15] Elijah Cummings is constantly yelling about how we have to let people in from these countries because they are escaping violence. [00:04:23] Well, I guess he expects them to go to your district, not his. [00:04:28] Much as liberals would love to, it's hard to blame Baltimore's problems on white people. [00:04:34] 65% of the people are black, and blacks run the place. [00:04:38] It's had just one white mayor in the last 30 years. [00:04:43] Until May, the mayor was Catherine Pugh, who resigned because she was corrupt. [00:04:49] A white TV journalist, Mary Bubala, pointed out that Baltimore had had three black women mayors in a row. [00:04:56] Two resigned because of corruption, and the third presided over the worst race riots in 50 years. [00:05:04] Ms. Bubala asked the obvious question. [00:05:06] Is this a signal that a different kind of leadership is needed? [00:05:10] Well, she was fired. [00:05:13] A year before that, black police commissioner Daryl D'Souza resigned for failing to pay taxes. [00:05:19] He's now in jail. [00:05:21] The new commissioner is, of course, black. [00:05:24] The new deputy commissioner is white. [00:05:26] And he was mugged at gunpoint just last week. [00:05:30] Clearly, it's a great place to live. [00:05:32] And while we're at it, 13 of Baltimore's 36 high schools have zero students proficient in math. [00:05:41] Zero. Ninety percent of black boys in the city can't read at grade level, and virtually every black baby born in the city is illegitimate. [00:05:51] The local paper, The Baltimore Sun, of course, joined the anti-racist chorus against Mr. Trump. [00:05:59] It brushed off the rat problem in an editorial with the childish title, Better to have a few rats than to be one. [00:06:08] Well, not so fast. [00:06:10] Animal Planet says Baltimore is the third worst rat city in the world. === Why Can't We Have Decency? (01:48) === [00:06:17] In 2018, PBS aired a documentary on the rat plague in Baltimore called Rat Film. [00:06:25] And when it's not raving about racism, the Baltimore Sun actually has a few lucid moments. [00:06:31] Believe it or not, in 2016, it ran an op-ed with the title, Trump's Right. [00:06:38] Declare Baltimore a disaster and rebuild it. [00:06:42] Just don't criticize our black congressmen. [00:06:44] And just this April, The Sun had a directly rat-related editorial called Baltimore's Perpetual Trash Problem. [00:06:54] The first sentence asked the question, why can't we have a clean city? [00:06:58] The editorial actually answered that question. [00:07:02] And I quote, too many people need a lesson in basic decency. [00:07:06] You see, deep down, they know. [00:07:10] Mr. Trump tweeted about one congressman and his district. [00:07:14] He didn't mention race. [00:07:15] It's the liberals and the Democrats who suddenly started screaming about race because they know who needs a lesson in decency. [00:07:24] They know who's doing the killing, who's nodding out on drugs, who's wrecking the schools, and who's in the flash mobs that terrify tourists. [00:07:33] They just don't want anyone talking about it. [00:07:36] If you do, you better say it's all the fault of white people. [00:07:40] President Trump was blaming Democrats, and that's more than enough to send them into hysterics about race. [00:07:48] Now, if only Mr. Trump would talk about, well, I don't want to get this video banned, but the President of the United States can talk about anything, they're already calling him a fascist and a white supremacist and a rat. [00:08:04] What's he got to lose?
