[00:00:04]  Hello, I'm Jared Taylor with American Renaissance.
[00:00:07]  There are a lot of powerful people who don't want you or anyone else to watch these videos of mine.

[00:00:15]  In last week's video, I broke the taboo against asking why blacks don't do as well as whites.
[00:00:22]  The only acceptable answer is racism.
[00:00:25]  But of course, the obvious answer is that on average, people of different races don't act the same.
[00:00:33]  Compared to Blacks and Hispanics, Whites and Asians do more of the things that make you successful.
[00:00:39]  But why is that?
[00:00:41]  If you give the factually correct answer, you are a bigot.
[00:00:45]  Barely human.
[00:00:47]  And the correct answer is this: Human races are biologically different and on average don't have the same abilities.
[00:00:56]  Differences show up at the Olympics.
[00:00:58]  People of West African origin dominate the sprints.
[00:01:02]  Here is Usain Bolt of Jamaica winning the 100-meter dash at the 2016 Olympics.
[00:01:09]  And here are East Africans, Kenyans, and Ethiopians out in front at the World Cross-Country Championships.
[00:01:17]  There's a book about this, Taboo: Why Black Athletes Dominate Sports and Why We're Afraid to Talk About It.
[00:01:25]  They dominate because of biology.
[00:01:28]  And why are we supposed to be afraid to talk about this?
[00:01:31]  If you talk about race differences of any kind, it opens the door to race differences in intelligence, and that is super taboo.
[00:01:41]  Surprisingly, though, the facts are right out there in the open.
[00:01:44]  The article on Race and Intelligence at Wikipedia says this: A 2001 meta-analysis of the results of 6,246,729 participants tested for cognitive ability or aptitude found a difference in average scores between black people and white people of 1.1 standard deviations.

=== IQ Gaps and Genetic Factors (09:34) ===

[00:02:10]  That's a fancy way of saying that if the average white IQ is 100, the average black IQ is 85. The same article says this: According to a 2008 article in the journal Intelligence, a survey found that most researchers in the field of intelligence measurement do not believe there is robust evidence of the claim that IQ tests are racially or culturally biased.
[00:02:37]  This finding is similar to that of a 2003 survey.
[00:02:41]  So not even notoriously lefty Wikipedia can deny the facts.
[00:02:48]  Now, there are lunatics who deny this, but you know that smart people generally do better in life than dim people.
[00:02:56]  So, what do race differences in IQ mean in real life?
[00:03:01]  Linda Gottfridson of the University of Delaware is probably the world expert on this.
[00:03:07]  She wrote a chapter in this 2018 book called The Nature of Human Intelligence, and she included this fascinating graph.
[00:03:17]  The two bell curves show the distributions of IQs for American blacks and American whites.
[00:03:24]  You can see there is overlap, but the curve for whites is well to the right.
[00:03:29]  The horizontal axis shows IQ scores from 70 to 130, and just above that are the jobs you can expect to get if you have an IQ in those ranges.
[00:03:41]  At the left, with an IQ between 75 and 90, you might be an assembler.
[00:03:47]  Putting things together, or in food service, or a nurse's aide.
[00:03:52]  Between 90 and 110, you could be a clerk, or a teller, or a police officer, although I wouldn't hire a policeman with a 90 IQ.
[00:04:01]  It's only on the right side, with an IQ of 125 or higher, that you have a good chance of being a lawyer or a chemist.
[00:04:11]  Now, the most important numbers are along the bottom.
[00:04:15]  For each IQ range, they show the ratio compared to whites of people of different races in that same IQ range.
[00:04:25]  Starting at the left, at 75 or below, blacks are five times more likely than whites to have IQs that low.
[00:04:34]  Hispanics are four times more likely.
[00:04:37]  Asians, though, are less likely, only two-thirds as likely as whites.
[00:04:43]  The ratios shift as IQs rise.
[00:04:47]  At IQs greater than 100, whites are three times as likely as blacks and twice as likely as Hispanics to score in that range, while Asians are 20% more likely than whites.
[00:05:00]  And look over there on the right.
[00:05:03]  IQs of 125 or higher.
[00:05:06]  Whites are 30 times more likely than blacks and 5 times more likely than Hispanics to be in that range.
[00:05:14]  And Asians are twice as likely as whites to be that smart.
[00:05:18]  Or, if you like, 60 times more likely than blacks to be that smart.
[00:05:23]  This doesn't mean there are no brilliant blacks or Hispanics, but they're rare.
[00:05:30]  These are the facts, and we have to deal with them.
[00:05:33]  And the facts show up early.
[00:05:36]  Look at this graph of Kentucky grade 4 math proficiency tests and the black-white achievement gap.
[00:05:43]  The blue line at the top is the white pass rate and the orange line is the black rate.
[00:05:50]  As the years go by, the gap got wider.
[00:05:53]  In the last year on this graph, 45% of white fourth graders were proficient but only 15% of blacks were.
[00:06:02]  Here are national 8th grade reading scores for the NAEP, or National Assessment of Educational Progress.
[00:06:09]  The scores are drifting up, but we see exactly the race differences we would expect.
[00:06:16]  In descending order, you find Asian, White, Hispanic, and then Black.
[00:06:21]  What about jobs?
[00:06:23]  The media complain endlessly that Black tech employees continue to face workplace racism.
[00:06:31]  What they mean is that blacks are a lot less likely than whites to have tech jobs.
[00:06:36]  Sorry, but it takes brains to write computer code.
[00:06:40]  If you want to hire the best programmers, you're going to get whites and also a whole lot of Asians.
[00:06:47]  Tech company executives are terrified of taboos, so they get down on their knees and promise to hire more black lady C++ experts who are as rare as unicorns.
[00:07:01]  Silicon Valley is as remorselessly woke as it's possible to be, but we're supposed to believe it's full of racists who refuse to hire blacks or Hispanics?
[00:07:13]  No, they're just stuck with these IQ bell curves, just like all the other executives who have to beg forgiveness at least every quarter for not hiring enough people of color.
[00:07:26]  And here's a problem for the tech industry.
[00:07:29]  As a 2019 Pew Research poll found, whites are more likely than blacks or Hispanics to score high on a science knowledge scale.
[00:07:40]  That was 9% of blacks, 23% of Hispanics, 48% of whites.
[00:07:47]  Whites are more than twice as likely as Hispanics and more than five times as likely as blacks to get a high score.
[00:07:55]  That's about the same odds as having an IQ of 110 or higher.
[00:08:00]  If Pew had included Asians, how do you think they would have scored?
[00:08:05]  Final question before class is dismissed.
[00:08:09]  What causes race differences in IQ?
[00:08:12]  Here we get another deafening, obligatory answer.
[00:08:16]  It's a racist environment, you bigoted moron.
[00:08:20]  If you mention genes, you get the Watson treatment.
[00:08:25]  James Watson, co-discoverer of the structure of DNA, was the world's most famous living scientist until 2007, when he slipped up and talked about low African IQ.
[00:08:38]  The sky fell.
[00:08:41]  DNA scientist James Watson stripped of honors over views on race.
[00:08:47]  Game over for Watson.
[00:08:49]  He might as well have been the Grand Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan.
[00:08:54]  So the pressure not to break the great taboo is, I'd say, about a thousand pounds per square inch.
[00:09:02]  Which makes the results published this year in Intelligence Magazine all the more remarkable.
[00:09:08]  It was a survey of intelligence experts who had published scientific articles on intelligence.
[00:09:14]  These people didn't work for the New York Times, so they all knew there is a big black-white IQ gap.
[00:09:22]  The question was how much the gap is due to genes.
[00:09:26]  These experts were mostly liberal.
[00:09:28]  On this distribution of their politics, they leaned heavily left, the liberal side of this graph.
[00:09:35]  Not very many over on the conservative right.
[00:09:38]  And here's how the experts answer the question about genetics.
[00:09:42]  The numbers along the bottom are the percentage of the IQ gap due to genes.
[00:09:49]  As you can see at the left, More than 15% of the experts said genes had nothing to do with it.
[00:09:55]  But the rest, 85%, said genes play some role.
[00:10:00]  The most popular reply was the one right in the middle, that genes account for 50% of the black-white difference.
[00:10:08]  Further over to the right, the third most popular reply was that genes account for 80% of the racial gap.
[00:10:16]  Now, all these experts would surely have known what happened to James Watson.
[00:10:22]  I wouldn't be at all surprised if some who said genes count for nothing were just playing it safe.
[00:10:29]  These are dangerous times for dissidents.
[00:10:31]  And, of course, that's why I can't have a YouTube channel.
[00:10:35]  So, there are big race differences in average IQ.
[00:10:40]  Experts think it's at least partly, and maybe a lot, due to genes.
[00:10:46]  Scientists are already finding the genetic patterns associated with level of education, which is a good indicator of intelligence.
[00:10:55]  And sure enough, as you see on this graph, those genetic patterns are distributed exactly as we would expect.
[00:11:04]  Lowest in Africans, highest in Asians.
[00:11:08]  All the role models, affirmative action, white shaming, critical race theory, and rioting.
[00:11:15]  Aren't going to change any of this.
[00:11:18]  But we've all got to act like idiots and pretend that Bushmen are just as likely as Koreans to have the brains to find a cure for cancer.
[00:11:28]  Next week, I'll explain why this self-imposed idiocy, this taboo against even talking about this stuff, really could wreck our country.
