Jared Taylor: "Has the White Man Turned the Corner?" (2017)

Time Text
Hello, I'm Jared Taylor with American Renaissance.
As many of you know, I've been an advocate for our people for a long time, for 27 years.
And I must say, during those maybe first 20 years or so, it didn't seem to me that we were making much progress.
It seemed to me sometimes that what I was doing was just making a record.
The great Frenchman, Guillaume Fay, Put it this way 17 years ago when he said, There are some things that must be said so that future generations will know that at least some of us were aware that our generation was not entirely composed of cowards and fools.
That's pretty much what it felt like for a long time.
But ladies and gentlemen, things are different now.
It's not just for the record anymore.
In the last, I would say, two or three years, there's been, in historical terms, an absolute explosion of white racial consciousness.
A rising determination of whites to defend their own interests.
We have a chance.
A fighting chance.
And a chance is not a certainty.
For that chance to become a certainty, it will take a tremendous amount of work by people in this room.
By the people that you inspire.
By the people whose eyes you open.
Egalitarian orthodoxy is dying.
But, like all dying orthodoxies, it's going to put up a terrific fight.
It is wounded, but the more wounded it is, the more desperately it will fight.
And this battle will rage in all majority white countries.
In some, In Eastern Europe, I would say the battle is almost won.
It is we in the English-speaking world who are probably the furthest behind.
But we are making more rapid progress than at any time in my lifetime.
So first, let's talk about our own country.
Many people have pointed out that the United States is more divided than at any time since the Civil War.
Politically, it's as if there were two giant tectonic plates moving towards each other.
One is that enormous but shrinking tectonic plate of egalitarianism.
The view that all cultures are equally valid, all religions equally true, and what is at the heart of this fallacy that all races are interchangeable and equivalent.
The other tectonic plate, Moving in the opposite direction.
That's us.
We are growing in size and growing in rapidity.
And you know what happens when tectonic plates meet?
Earthquakes. We had a tremor.
I would call it a reasonably significant tremor in the election of Donald Trump.
But that is just a sign of things to come.
And how did the other side react to what is perhaps its first major defeat in decades?
With hysteria, with desperation, violence, our opponents just started repeating ever more emphatically their absurd ideas.
They could not have chosen more flamboyant ways to discredit themselves.
They have themselves become In some respects, the best advertisements for our ideas.
Take the people who oppose us most bitterly and actively.
The people who are right outside this building.
These so-called anti-fascists.
They're violent.
They're so ugly they have to cover their faces.
There. Thank you.
In Edgar Allan Poe's words, they are neither man nor human.
They are neither beast nor human.
You don't know what they are.
But they are violent.
They riot.
They set fire to things.
They shout down perfectly established intellectuals such as Charles Murray, Heather MacDonald.
Now, when ordinary Americans see that kind of behavior, do they think to themselves, my, what attractive people.
They must be right about everything they think.
No, of course not.
They could not be a worse advertisement for their point of view if we were paying them to behave that way.
And in some respects, I think Black Lives Matter is even better.
All their howling and gibbering about Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown.
This sends more astonished white people into our arms than 25 years of American Renaissance.
And I think there could not be a better way to convince white people that multiracialism, the kind we are trying to establish, is a suicidal dead end for our people.
It worries me, though, that Black Lives Matter seems to have calmed down lately.
I think I'm going to write a letter to George Soros and urge him to...
To drop another million dollars on Black Lives Matter.
Get them back in the game again.
Now, it's commonly said that in an emergency, what foolish people tend to do is what they have always done, but they do it more mindlessly and desperately than ever.
And that appears to me to be exactly what the other side is doing.
I will give you some examples of this.
Of our opponents going out further and further on a limb, to the point where they're sitting on twigs, and those twigs are beginning to crack, and more and more Americans think that they look simply ridiculous.
Let me consider American universities.
These are the densest concentrations of high IQ idiots in the world.
Take Yale.
Here are the most petted, coddled, Slobbered over black people in the history of the world.
But they have nevertheless persuaded themselves and their deans and their professors and the college president that they are beset by white supremacy at every turn.
And I'm sure you all remember the incident when one of the professors sent an email message wondering whether it's really appropriate for a university to be sending out detailed instructions about what constitutes an insensitive Halloween costume.
Well, these petted and coddled people who are victims of white supremacy started screaming, and before you know it, there was total capitulation.
The university instituted more multicultural training, more funding for exclusive clubhouses for non-whites, and, of course, $50 million to, and I quote, enhance faculty diversity.
Well, Yale's going to have a hard time enhancing faculty diversity, even with $50 million, because...
Every university in America, of course, is looking for that same black lady physicist.
And that's why diversity administrators make so much money.
The one at Rutgers makes $300,000 a year.
The one at the University of Virginia makes $350,000 a year.
With just 50K more, he's making as much money as the President of the United States.
But you see, it's such hard work looking for unicorns.
That they have to be richly, richly compensated.
Now, at several universities, they want to make the diversity administrator's job a whole lot easier simply by admitting basically any black person who applies.
At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the student government wants free tuition and room and board for black students and says blacks should not have to take standardized tests because standardized test scores, of course, uphold white supremacy.
Well, it seems to me they've got the wrong approach here.
they should just grant a BA to every black baby as soon as he's born.
Thank you.
I mean, it would save a lot of trouble just staple the diploma to the birth certificate.
Now, this year, Methodist-affiliated McMurray University in Texas decided to dedicate a room exclusively for Muslim prayer.
And it was a chaplain of McMurray, presumably a Methodist, who was the real champion of doing this.
Well, when I read about this in the news, I looked up the webpage of McMurray University and I clicked on the tab that said, Values and Mission.
And I got a page not found message.
Now, I didn't have that problem.
It was Chicago Theological Seminary.
On one of its web pages, it says this, the mission of Chicago Theological Seminary is to work towards greater social justice.
And nowhere is this more needed than in the area of race.
Not a word about Christianity or training preachers.
We are supposed to be bowing our heads to non-whites rather than to God, presumably.
And earlier this year, Jonathan Lash, the president of Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, he said that what they were really wanting to do is, quote, Focus our efforts on addressing racist, misogynist, Islamophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-Semitic,
and anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and behaviors.
That's what their university is for.
And by the way, tuition alone is $48,000.
And at the University of Tacoma, the chief writing instructor by the name of Asao Inoue, that's an old Irish name by the way, Says that good grammar is racist and that therefore no points will be deducted for bad grammar or usage in any written work,
not even for writing classes.
Well, you know, it seems to me they should apply that rule to foreign language classes too, shouldn't they?
I mean, after all, French grammar is bound to be just as racist as English grammar.
Let's write them any kind of gibberish and not take no points away.
And here's another one.
Beginning this year at Eastern Michigan University, Every academic major requires that there be a course devoted to the black contributions of that discipline.
Now, the university is not so foolish as to avoid the concession that, quote, it may be difficult to incorporate black studies into certain natural science majors.
They're going to do it anyway.
And, of course, you've all heard about what happened at Evergreen State University in Olympia, Washington, for years.
The non-whites...
Would have this day of absence in which they'd all leave the campus and just show the poor beleaguered whites how miserable they would be when all those lovely non-whites were gone.
I'm sure they just grieved all day long at the fact that they were left all behind.
Well, this year the idea was, no, no, no, for the day of absence, they're going to make all the white people bugger off campus so they can have it to themselves.
Now, this caused a bit of a controversy, which I'll mention a little bit more later.
Why not?
Why not?
Why not make the white people bugger off?
But here's my favorite university story.
This May, Florida Memorial University granted a posthumous degree to, guess who?
Louder. Trayvon Martin, yes.
If Trayvon Martin...
Had not gotten into a fight with a legally armed man who shot him in self-defense and gone straight to college and gone straight through in four years, this would have been his year to graduate.
And since young Trayvon was apparently interested in airplanes, his degree was in aeronautical science.
While his mother was there to pick up the diploma in his place, I'm sure she was flying high.
Now, outside of universities, There's not quite the same freedom for unrestrained insanity as there is on campus.
But there are people who really try.
Mayor Ed Murray of Seattle.
I don't know if you heard about this, but he proposed a city tax on sugary drinks because he's worried that sugary drinks make people fat.
Well, somebody pointed out to him that it is mostly blacks and Hispanics who disproportionately drink those sugary drinks and who would be paying the tax.
Well, we can't have that.
Well, in that case, Ed Murray's idea is, in that case, we will tax diet drinks, too, because white people are more likely to buy them.
But if the theory is to get people to stop drinking sugary drinks and get them to drink diet drinks, does this make any sense at all?
No. But he could not undertake anything that would have a disparate impact on non-whites.
And, oh, by the way, the tax was to be spent on, guess what, narrowing the achievement gap.
What else would you spend more money on?
And then there's Kim Rivera.
She's the top in-house lawyer at Hewlett Packard.
She just sent letters to all the law firms that deal with Hewlett Packard saying that if they don't have enough female and non-white lawyers on their staff, she's just going to refuse to pay 10% of their invoices.
Now, I don't know if that's even legal, but...
Kim Rivera is both a Hispanic and a woman, so she must feel strongly about this.
And she gets paid $2 million a year for punishing white men because they are white men.
Now this spring, I'm sure you've heard, the San Francisco metro system, BART, stopped releasing videotapes of mob attacks on passengers because, according to assistant manager Kerry Hamill, they would reinforce negative stereotypes.
This is, of course, the mentality of The closed mind, the zealot, suppress the facts because the facts aren't in accordance with your image of what the world should be like.
Of course, the people who were engaging in these mob attacks were of a certain race, and their victims were almost always of a different race.
But this doesn't fit in with what we are supposed to think, so the videos stopped being released.
Now, along with this kind of zealotry, Egalitarians believe in a kind of magic.
Earlier, John Derbyshire was talking about the resistance to science in the human mind.
Well, liberals, I think, are some of the most resistant to science people on the face of the earth.
They think by changing words, you can change reality.
And that's why when the Seattle police write up a suspect for some kind of incident, they're not allowed to use the word suspect.
They're all community members.
And likewise, in Washington State prison system, it is considered demeaning and stereotyping to refer to them as inmates or even prisoners.
So now, whenever they refer to a jailbird, it is someone who is a student or a patient, or they use some other term that's supposed to reflect what their likely future role is going to be in society.
Well, recidivist might be a good one, but all of this...
It's to help us stop associating blacks and Hispanics with words like prisoner or inmate.
Now, why am I telling you about all this lunacy?
And why am I optimistic despite this utter, utter craziness?
It's because more and more people see right through it.
It is alienating and disgusting huge numbers of white people.
Even mainstream media reports of this sort of thing.
You can see that they're almost written through clenched teeth, and the comment sections are uniformly full of outrage.
More and more people see this for the embarrassing insanity that it is, and it can't last.
In the case of Evergreen State College, where the whites were supposed to bugger off, when the word got out on this, enrollment plummeted.
And legislators introduced bills that cut off all state funding.
As one state legislator put it, let's spend the money on a credible degree rather than on the social justice, victimization, woe is me, I want reparation, pseudoscience they're teaching at Evergreen.
It's a pretty strong statement from a state legislator.
And when Mizzou, the University of Missouri back in 2015, they capitulated in just the most craven way to trumped up demands, they too, funding, And applications dropped like stones.
They had to close seven residence halls because increasingly white people don't want to attend a university that is run by spineless,
groveling cowards.
And I can assure you, when Yale capitulated, I snooped around on alumni bulletin boards.
The reaction was one of pure outrage and disgust.
I predict a huge drop in donations, and money certainly talks.
And that city tax on the sugary drinks, the diet drinks, that apparently, even the goofy liberals in Seattle laughed that one right out of the city council, and that tax has gone nowhere.
Bit by bit, I believe the country is changing and people are waking up.
And let me give you a statistic that I think proves this point in a pretty uncontroversial way.
When Donald Trump was elected, we all liked to think, and I think we had some reason to think, that white people were finally waking up and voting in their own interests.
But to what extent?
Was his victory due to people who thought that Donald Trump was going to renegotiate trade deals, bring jobs back to the United States, get rid of Obamacare, invest in infrastructure, and make America great again, but who had no racial consciousness about it at all?
We didn't know.
Well, there's a very interesting Ipsos poll that gives us a good idea.
This asked people in a number of different countries whether it was racist or wrong, For a majority population to resist being reduced to minority through immigration.
This is one of the key ideas of our movement.
Well, not surprisingly, 73.2% of Clinton voters thought that was wrong.
Interestingly enough, only 11.2% of Trump supporters thought that was wrong.
That means the huge majority of Trump supporters thought there's nothing wrong in whites wishing to remain a majority.
So what this means is that although neither side brought this up, in last year's election, one of the unspoken key issues that was fought out was whether we have the right to remain a majority in our own country.
And the fact, this spread of 73% of Clinton voters who thought it was bad, Of Trump voters who thought it was bad, I bet there's not a single other political issue on which you would find a divide as great as that.
That was right down the middle of that election.
And that is, again, one of the central elements of white racial consciousness that was fought out in that election, even if only implicitly.
Now, there's another researcher who has found that when whites are asked anonymously what they would like to do about immigration, Their answer is, cut it to zero.
Close the gates.
No more.
60%. However, if their identity is likely to be known, only 39% will say so.
And what's more, and this should be no surprise, those who censor themselves most rigorously are the ones with the most education.
The more education you have in this country, the more terrified you are to say what you really think.
That's another reason why it's so important for us to speak out as much as possible.
Even cowards become a little less cowardly when they think there are others who agree with them.
The Brexit vote was another potentially ambiguous one.
Many of us also thought that that was an expression by the people of Great Britain for moral autonomy so they could keep Britain British.
But again, it was hard to be sure if that was really the motivation.
Well, the same Ipsos poll found that only 6% of people who voted for Brexit thought it was wrong for white British people to remain a majority.
So again, that vote seems clearly to have been a vote for keeping Britain British.
Again, in neither vote was this explicitly described as one of the issues at stake.
But this seems to be very much on the minds of white people.
More and more of us are saying, We have the right to be us.
Only we can be us.
And our ancestors built this country for us and not for strangers.
And I must say, in all of the 27 years that I have been saying these things in public and asking some questions over and over,
The one to which I have never even gotten an attempted reply is why is it wrong for whites to wish to remain a majority in their own country?
There is no reply to that question.
Why is it wrong?
Because it is not wrong.
It is absolutely right.
I think, even among our opponents, there is a grudging recognition that this is a legitimate group attachment.
More and more, I think it will become irrefutable that it is a suicidal double standard for whites to accept the replacement of their own people while not expecting or requiring it of anyone else.
And as for reasons to be optimistic here in the United States, now Donald Trump has been, of course, a disappointment in many ways.
I look forward to hearing what John Derbyshire has to say about our current president.
But he was never one of us.
Donald Trump, of course, is a unique phenomenon, and I doubt that ever quite that combination of wealth and notoriety and eccentricity and bullheadedness is ever going to come together in a single person ever again.
But it was vitally important that even at the national level, our rulers and our taskmasters and the people who claimed to know better than us were baffled, defeated, insulted.
In a way they never would have expected.
And I am convinced that it will not be long before racially oriented, attractive, persuasive, presentable candidates will start running in local elections, carrying our flag, because I'm convinced that if there is an opportunity to vote for such a person,
the 60% who, when they know they're being anonymous, say zero immigration, in the quiet and solitude of the voting booth, I believe that candidates that stand for our ideas can win local elections.
applause applause Thank you.
As for the growth of our movement, you're the last people whom I must describe the growth to, because you are the people that do the podcasts, make the videos, you maintain the websites, you write the articles.
You organize the demonstrations.
You give the speeches.
You compose the clever music, the witty songs.
And some of you, God bless you, you write the checks.
But you are the people who build and sustain this optimism.
I mentioned just last night how much the American Renaissance Conference has grown and the fact that this is the first time we had to absolutely bar the doors.
If we had had a place that was one and a half times larger, instead of 300 people here, there would be 450 people here.
I believe this is typical of the kind of growth that's taking place in our movement, this encouraging, astonishing burgeoning of creativity in all media, all domains.
The left has absolutely nothing like...
The kinds of Twitter memes, the kinds of ideas, funny statements, coinages, all of these things that typify our movement.
However, I think that some of the very best reasons for optimism come out of Eastern Europe.
There are now four European nations, all members of the European Union, that are essentially run by people who think like us.
There's Poland, Hungary, there's the Czech Republic, Slovakia.
And besides which, Bulgaria, Slovenia, the Baltic Republics, some of these have very healthy-minded people running them also.
I think that events in Poland were particularly interesting, encouraging, and instructive.
In 2015, as you probably recall, the European Union decided that they were going to dole out a certain quota of backpackers to every member of the EU, whether they liked it or not.
Poland was run by a party known as the Civic Platform, and they agreed to take a certain number of backpackers.
Well, shortly after that, furious Polish voters booted out Civic Platform and voted in the Law and Justice Party.
And their Prime Minister, Beata Shidlow, then famously met with the Chancellor of Germany, and she said, Angela, baby, we've changed our mind.
You can keep your damn muzzies.
I'm paraphrasing.
The EU, of course, is now absolutely determined to punish Poland because it won't take its share.
But Interior Minister Mariusz Blasik says that whatever the EU threatens to do is vastly, vastly worse than taking in these immigrants.
As he said in May, the policy of multiculturalism in Western Europe is reaping a bloody harvest.
Poland, by the way, gets huge subsidies from the European Union, and everybody in Poland knows it.
But still, just last month, 57% of Poles said they would rather leave the European Union, turn their back on all of that money, rather than have to take any immigrants.
And last month, the former Czech Republic president, Vaclav Klos, also said his country would leave the EU rather than take any.
And here are his words.
We refuse to permit the transformation of our country into a multicultural society.
We refuse.
End of story.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Last year, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, he really laid it on the line very bluntly, too.
He says, Islam has no place in Slovakia.
Migrants change the character of our country.
We do not want the character of this country to change.
That's about as direct as it gets.
Slovakia for the Slovaks.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary has been just as straightforward.
In his Easter speech of this year, he said, we do not want parallel societies.
We do not want population exchanges.
We do not want to replace Christian civilization.
Mass migration is masquerading as a humanitarian cause.
True nature is the occupation of territory.
Hungary for the Hungarians.
Yes, sir.
Now, that is just about as close as saying Europe must remain white as any statement I've ever seen from anything resembling a head of state.
I think this is exceedingly encouraging.
So, Western Europe, I think, is still...
But I think countries like Poland and Hungary are probably safe.
I don't think there's any combination of Western browbeating or EU bribery that could possibly drag them into the swamp.
Now, those of you who are of a certain age remember the Iron Curtain.
And we used to feel sorry for these poor people under the yoke of communism.
As it turns out, of course, the Iron Curtain was a wonderful protection.
Against the insanity, the mental poisons that have circulated throughout the West.
I'm not sure what all the reasons are that mean that Eastern Europeans are so much healthier about this than we are, but it may have been that overt censorship gave them an instinctive skepticism about anything that can come down from above.
They saw it with their own eyes, and at the same time, people in Eastern Europe know That nothing lasts forever.
Just in a period of a few years, they saw what seemed to be rock-solid regimes tumble to the ground.
They know this stuff needn't last.
At the same time, I think they are much more open about expressing their national and ultimately their racial interests.
We're so terrified we censor ourselves.
Remember the 60% who would cut immigration if they're anonymous?
Shrinks to 39 otherwise.
In the East, they're prepared to speak their minds.
And isn't it ironic that the people who lived under an ideology that was explicitly anti-religious and anti-national are the ones who are the staunchest in wanting to maintain Christianity and to retain actual nations.
And for this, of course, the treasonous bureaucrats Of the European Union accused them of not supporting European values.
What could be a worse joke?
If there is such a thing as European values, if there's such a thing as Europe itself, it's because the ancestors of these lick-spittle bureaucrats fought the Muslims for a thousand years, from the Battle of Tours all the way up to the Battle of Vienna.
If that hadn't happened, Europe wouldn't even exist as the entity we see today.
The people in the West who have joined the European Union know that the EU is not a suicide pact.
And they've noticed a certain elementary pattern.
The more Muslims you have, the more foreigners you have in your country, the more killing you get.
Britain, France, Germany are stuffed with Muslims.
And that's where the bodies are all piling up.
And that mad cow, Angela Merkel, Has the gall to say to them that by taking measures to keep the bodies from piling up, they are violating European values.
Now, has anyone ever heard of Islamic terror in Slovakia or Hungary?
No. It's because there aren't any Muslims there.
And where do you find real European values?
Do you find them in France?
Where soldiers with machine guns have to guard the Eiffel Tower and every other tourist attraction in the country?
Or do you find it in Krakow, Poland, where it would never occur to anyone to hire an armed guard to protect a Christmas market?
And maybe Muslims are furious that Poland and the Czech Republic are keeping them out.
There's nothing they can do about it, because they've been kept out, which is obviously the thing to do.
This is so, so blindingly obvious.
That even diluted people in Western Europe are beginning to put two and two together.
And that's why, I believe in Western Europe, you have this steady growth of openly nationalist parties.
The True Finns, the Swedish Democrats, Alternative for Deutschland, the National Front in France, the Danish People's Party, also Gert Wilder's Party.
All across Western Europe, these movements are growing.
Of course, there have been disappointments.
As Mr. Lichtmetz mentioned, there was a chance that a real nationalist could become president of Austria.
But Norbert Hofer of the Freedom Party, he did manage to get 46%.
That's not bad.
Especially in a tame, emasculated country like Austria.
And we hoped that Geert Wilder's party in the last election would come in first.
Well, he came in second.
But isn't it nice to be able to complain and be disappointed when a nationalist party comes in second rather than fifth or not at all?
And we hoped Marine Le Pen would do better in the second round.
But all this means is that it's going to be a long fight.
We have to be in that fight until we win because the other side is going to put up a terrific struggle.
And I'd like to return to the idea of how important it is.
That we have these governments and heads of states in Europe who are practically our brothers in terms of ideology.
If it were just one country, I can imagine it being overwhelmed, either by bribery or by sort of public shaming.
When you're all by yourself, it's lonely.
But when there are four or five of you, you're a movement.
Again, I think that those countries sticking together They are safe for our people.
Now, does anyone here know what the motto of Luxembourg is?
Come on.
Well, I didn't know until just a few days ago myself, so I must confess.
The motto is, we want to remain what we are.
Isn't that a quaint idea?
Now, of course, in their case, they want to remain what they are compared to their surrounding countries, but this should be the motto of all of you.
We want to remain what we are.
It should be the motto of all white countries, all countries everywhere of any race, to be what we are.
Nothing is more natural than to love your people and your culture, and you want them to prosper and continue forever.
Now, I'd like to close with the words of Ernest Renan.
He was a 19th century French philosopher, and in his 1882 essay, What is a Nation?
He said that the nation is a spiritual principle composed of two things.
And I will quote, One is the possession in common of a rich legacy of memories.
The other is the desire to live together.
The desire to continue to invest in the heritage that we have jointly received.
These are the essential conditions of being a people, having common glories in the past and a will to continue them, having made great things together and wishing to make them again.
Now tell me, do blacks and whites in America have common glories in the past and the will to continue them?
I don't think so.
Have Europeans and Muslims made great things together and wished to make them again?
No. No.
Another bad joke.
Renaud went on to write, when it comes to the nations, man does not improvise.
Well, Renaud was wrong.
Europeans, whether in Europe or wherever we live around the world, we have improvised foolishly, dangerously, and we are paying a terrible price.
The price is clearer and more terrifying every day.
Our people are waking up from this ghastly, anti-white nightmare.
Finally, more and more of us are prepared to say, this is for us.
You must fend for yourselves.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are in a battle for our lives, for our ancestors, and for every generation to come.
And no battle could be more important or more glorious.
We are all soldiers in this battle, and we will win.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Unless I have heard otherwise, our next speaker, Serge Trifkovich, is not to be found.
And so I can take questions for a while, and if he does not show up, then we will take a longer-than-usual coffee break and reconvene for Peter Brimelow later in the afternoon.
But in the meantime, if anyone does have questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them.
Yes, Eastern Europe provides a great model for the short term.
What about what somebody has described as demography is destiny?
How do we deal with the population explosion in the South, particularly Africa?
That is an excellent question.
I think that the population explosion in Africa can be dealt with simply by letting it remain in Africa.
I have thought...
I've thought for a long time, when people wring their hands about all of the Mexicans who die trying to cross the border into the United States, or all of the Africans who die in the Mediterranean trying to cross, if people really do care about these deaths,
there's a very simple way to stop them.
Make it clear that if they set foot across that border, or if they get in those boats, if they get in those boats, They're going to get a shell below the waterline.
You would only have to sink one boat and everyone would stay home and far more, far fewer people would die.
It's a matter of will.
The capacity is of course there.
Let Africa double and quadruple in population.
We have the means to keep them out.
And that is what we must do.
It's a very simple solution.
Thank you.
Of course, there's the other aspect of it.
We are not reproducing ourselves.
I believe, however, that this unwillingness to have children reflects something about the atmosphere, the anti-white atmosphere, especially in the United States but in other Western countries.
Whenever you are told...
That diversity is required because white people are all so boring, all left to themselves.
Here we are just choking to death on our own homogeneity.
We need to be gingered up by all of these foreigners and all these people utterly unlike ourselves.
This is discouraging.
I think people want to bring children into the world, into a society that values them, that values their heritage, and thinks in terms of their future.
If we had...
Governments and cultural organs that emphasize and encourage whiteness, European heritage.
I think we would have many more children.
But in any case, keeping the others out is simply a matter of will.
The means are easily at our disposal.
Yes, sir.
I had a question about...
So I have a Polish friend who had some relatives living in England before Brexit.
He shares our views very much, but one of the things that he was concerned about is that when Brexit occurred, a lot of the other Europeans from different nations wouldn't be able to come into England.
So he agreed that the Muslim immigration to England was a bad thing, but he was concerned that the inter-movement of Europeans within different European nations would be hindered.
Which is, I think, also a valid concern.
I'm wondering what your view is on that and how we handle that question, because that is definitely a question that's been brought up between my friends and myself.
The whole question of population movements within Europe, of course, is an entirely different one from the question of non-white populations moving into Europe.
It's much less of a concern to me.
After all...
Many European nationalities contributed to the United States, and we did have a melting pot that was working reasonably well, so long as all the ingredients were European.
I would oppose certain kinds of transfers, however.
When many, many Poles leave Poland, which already has a very low birth rate, that's not good for Poland.
The Baltic countries as well, they are not as economically successful as the West, and many of their brightest and most talented people are moving to Western Europe.
I think that is not a good thing for those countries.
The brightest people should be encouraged to stay.
Now, whether or not and in what way we prohibit that kind of movement, I don't know.
But each European nation has to develop itself in its own way.
Europe will remain this wonderful home of all kinds of cultural creativity, I think, much more effectively and permanently when Poles stay in Poland.
When Estonians stay in Estonia and work very hard to build those countries up.
But again, this problem is vanishingly insignificant compared to the one of non-Europeans moving into Europe.
So I think we could all agree that, you know, despite all the good news we might have heard today, that we are still in the middle of a crisis, you know, identity crisis.
We're at war with a lot of powerful ideologies.
What I would like to know from you is what or who should we put, or at least maybe I'm just speaking for myself, put our faith into?
Yourself definitely is an option, but I think being too individualistic can be a drawback.
There's definitely a certain quality in quantity, you know, a movement.
I agree 100%.
Individualism, I think, is one of our strengths.
I think the Western man has been creative in a way that no other group has been because of a kind of Faustian individualism.
But when we are threatened by other groups that have a greater sense of group solidarity, our individualism becomes a weakness.
We do have to think in terms of our nation, of our future.
We do have to think in terms of making it possible for our culture to continue.
And that's why these selfish hipsters who don't even want to have children because that means they won't afford their second BMW, if they thought in terms of being the heirs to a glorious civilization and perhaps the ancestors of an even more glorious civilization,
they might not think that way.
This is, again, an advantage and a defect.
As far as in whom should we place our trust, we have to trust ourselves.
Each one of us has a role to play, and I think if we think about that seriously, we can arrive at some means of being useful.
As I said earlier, there is this huge burgeoning, a very impressive burgeoning of creativity, and we can all contribute to that in one way or another.
Now, I said at the outset of my talk, we have a fighting chance.
We don't have a certainty.
It's a fighting chance.
And I've felt like this for the first time, as I say, in the many years I've been doing this.
I thought I was just creating a record.
Now we have a real chance, and I think that has to involve not just metapolitics, that our people love to talk about.
Metapolitics is the educational stage, but you have to move to some way in which you put your hands on the levers of power.
Unless we do that, you cannot change immigration policy.
You cannot change so-called civil rights law.
All the meta-politics in the world won't change those laws.
But when we change enough minds, then things will begin to happen.
I believe that if you can divide things in terms of the education phase and the political phase, we are making great breakthroughs in the education phase, and now is the time to move into the politics phase.
And that's the only way, I think, Short of complete catastrophe, that things can move in a meaningful way for us.
My name is Stan, and I very much appreciate the conference you're putting on.
You talked about Evergreen State and the insanity there, and of course, Brett Weinstein is pushing back against the idea that it's a good idea to exclude white people in the basis of their skin color.
But with that said, he's told Joe Rogan and Dave Rubin that...
That evolution, that 40,000 years isn't enough for divergence, for evolution.
And he cited Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs, and Steel, the idea that people are magically all the same and the only thing causing racial differences is the environment.
So my question is, how can we reach out to people like Brett Weinstein and maybe stop his race denialism?
I appreciate what he's doing, but he's still a race denialist, and how can we reach out to him with race realism?
Yes, this is one of those examples of the revolution devouring its own children.
Just to explain to you people who didn't follow this closely, Brett Weinstein was a professor at Evergreen State, and when he said, look, I'm not going to leave.
Just because you glorious and lovely people of color want all whites to leave, I'm not going to do that.
That is just the kind of bigotry you claim to be trying to fight.
Well, he was surrounded by a mob of chanting, howling.
Mostly white students, threatened with this, threatened with that, pushed around, and now he's suing the university for, what is it, two and a half million dollars or whatever, some large sum, for the kind of way he's been treated.
This reminds me of the way one of the South African politicians and one of the socialist parties has been treated for making just a few obvious statements about how the apartheid regime was good for the economy or how the fact that whites were there had resulted in a kind of industrial infrastructure that had not been there to begin with.
Stating the obvious has become a crime.
And more and more leftists who subscribe in a general way To the myths of this egalitarian nonsense, I believe when they find themselves pilloried for speaking the obvious truth, that can be, and I hope it will be, a step in our direction.
I don't know how one would reach out to this Weinstein fellow directly, but I feel sure that when he sees the kind of people who support him, as opposed to the kind of people who are opposed to him, let us hope that some light bulbs go off in his mind.
But I think this is going to happen more and more and more.
This egalitarian nonsense, as it dies, it will get more and more desperate, make more and more absurd demands to the point where people who are in general agreement with it will be disgusted by it.
That will be the first step for them to move in our direction.
That's my hope.
Sir, at a high level, what does the endgame look like for our movement?
How do we get there?
And what does it look like when we win?
Oh, those are really easy questions.
Well, I'll tell you a story in that connection.
Years ago, when I started this white activism, I had a discussion of a fellow named Frank Borzileri, who was later elected to the school board.
And I told him, this is a time when we were maybe 70% of the population, 75% of the population.
I said to him, look, I would be prepared to draw a line right down the middle of the United States and say to all non-whites, hey, you pick which side we want.
Which side do you want?
We'll just fill in the rest.
He said, no, we can't do that.
This country's ours.
We want it all.
Well, things have gone in such a catastrophic direction that I believe that if our people and civilization are to survive in any meaningful way on this continent, it will only be if we have some kind of enclave.
The larger the better.
But that, to me, is the end goal.
People talk about the ethnostate.
It would be a real disappointment only to have a few states.
But if that's what it takes for us to avoid Brazilianization, if that's what it takes to keep us from being ground steadily down into the increasingly hated minority that is our fate if we do nothing, I believe that is the aspiration that we should look for.
How do we bring that about?
Well, I will tell you, That if, say, 30 million white people, 40 million white people, thought as we do in this room, this would happen.
If enough people agree with us, things will happen.
And they will happen in ways that are impossible to predict.
We don't know what kind of secessionist movement might take place.
We don't know what kind of communities might spring up in the South or in the Pacific Northwest.
But we have to think in terms of all possibilities.
To me, one of the real problems of our movement so far is that we have not produced any real communities of racially conscious white people.
That is something that's essential for rearing children, which is, of course, another thing that we all must do.
In my own experience, I live in Fairfax County.
It's a very liberal county.
And when my children reach a certain age...
Their classmates invariably discover who their father is.
They make jokes about this.
And sometimes the parents of their friends will forbid my daughter's friends to come to my house.
Well, my daughters are pretty thick-skinned and they laugh this stuff off.
They know I love them.
They love me.
And they say, what a bunch of idiots.
On the other hand, one would like to live in a community in which if you stand up for your own people, you are respected for this and not despised.
We don't have communities of this kind.
And communities, I think, are something that we could build bit by bit.
So it can start small in communities and, at the same time, try to expand larger into some sort of territory that is ours.
I wish I could give you a detailed, concrete blueprint as to how this will come about.
It's impossible to predict.
But again, if enough of us are committed to this, it will surely happen.
Mr. Taylor, I first want to express my almost undying gratitude.
I don't think that any of us would be here, and I don't think Trump would be elected if it wasn't for you.
Oh, that's not true.
That's not true.
I've just been doing it longer, that's all.
Apart from that, though, a lot of your speech was focused on kind of like a coded language and almost feels like there is a...
A subconscious element of which...
Because there's people that will admit what they believe and there's people that will not.
But apart from those, I feel there's also people that probably do deep down know a lot of these things.
It's not that they don't want to admit it, they somehow cannot mentally process it.
Not that they're stupid, but it doesn't break through a psychological barrier of some sort.
And I'm curious if you could comment on that.
Well, I can comment on that, unfortunately, from personal experience.
I used to be an egalitarian liberal, and it took me a great deal of work to destroy those illusions.
I clung to those illusions quite desperately.
There are several reasons for this.
One is that we are herd animals.
We prefer to be in the majority.
That is one of our characteristics as human beings, and we can't overcome that.
One prefers to be on what the left calls the right side of history.
They claim they are the winning team, and in many respects they have been the winning team.
At the same time, one likes to hope that one's nation is not being run by traitors and fools.
And to concede to oneself that your nation has been hijacked...
But people who are destroying your culture and your people, this is a very bitter thing for people to accept.
People have grown up with certain ideas, and once they reach a certain age, it's extremely difficult to shuck off those ideas.
As I believe John Derbyshire was saying, scientific revolutions take place one funeral after another.
It's not going to require one funeral after another, but I find it tremendously encouraging the number of young people I meet.
Who by the time they're 20, they have a thorough and sophisticated understanding of things that I didn't have a grasp of until I was 40 years old.
It's happening much more rapidly.
So I'm optimistic in that respect.
But we all have to keep moving forward.
I have one quick follow-up with that.
So is the psychological barrier something that is cultural or is it something that is genetic?
Because I've heard it said many times, it is something that is unique to the white man.
I have written an essay on this subject that appears in the collection at the back of the room called"If We Do Nothing." I recommend that you buy a copy of that book.
I think there is something biologically unique about us, something that takes the form of pathological altruism when it goes bad, but also A genuine and valuable consideration for others when it goes good.
We are unique in that respect.
We, I believe, are the only race who have to be convinced that what we want is fair.
If you're talking to black people, you can say, you know, you can get more of what those guys have.
And I think that's all they need to know.
We have to think to ourselves, well, wait a minute, wait a minute.
If we get more of what they have, do we really deserve what they have?
We have a kind of consciousness about this.
I think Asians approach that, but less so than us.
Asians are prepared to just grab whatever they can get, certainly by comparison with us.
And it is this concern, this altruism, that can be either beneficial or pathological.
I think that's something unique to us.
So I do believe we have a kind of built-in genetic obstacle.
As well as this terrible culture that was fostered, perhaps on the basis of that propensity that we have to fight with as well.
And I'll take one more question because I have, unlike all the other speakers, outlasted my time, but I did so because the next speaker is not here.
Yes, sir.
Thank you for letting me have the last question.
I'm wondering if enough is being made of the following fact that by any social metric, blacks are worse off, not better off.
than they were 50 years ago, not in spite of, but because of the various social programs that have been inflicted upon them.
I think of other ethnic groups who were fortunate
I'm from the government and I'm here to help you.
And it is not insignificant that Trump, in his campaign, had the message to that community, what have you got to lose?
So while I understand interest in focusing on the betterment of one's community, the fact is that before the so-called Civil Rights Revolution, blacks were advancing, their own institutions were strengthening, their own economic standards.
Well, Professor Nyborg touched on this in his talk.
These processes were by...
The competent are taxed to subsidize the proliferation of the incompetent.
And the law-abiding and upstanding citizens are taxed so as to make it possible for others to be less law-abiding, more selfish, more self-indulgent.
All of this, as Professor Narboid pointed out, just sets evolution going in reverse.
It seems very clear to me that blacks have suffered most from this.
Whites have dysgenic fertility, in the sense that lower IQ whites having more babies than higher IQ whites.
But the dysgenic slope among blacks is very fierce.
The low IQ blacks are rapidly outbreeding the fewer high IQ blacks.
All of this, I think, is a result of the perverse incentives we have built into society.
If a 16-year-old girl, black or any race, gets pregnant, all of a sudden she gets all of these handouts.
Who cares about the father?
We don't need that stuff.
There have been attempts to reform this.
But this kind of altruism, again it goes back to this propensity we have of looking after people.
You find this only in white countries.
There's no black country in which there's this kind of handout.
And that's why the dysgenic birth rates in sub-Saharan Africa, they don't have dysgenic birth rates.
They still have a situation in which those who are more intelligent, more confident, have more children than the unintelligent and the incompetent.
In my path to becoming something other than a totally deluded idiot liberal, one of the important books that I read was Losing Ground by Charles Murray.
That really opened my eyes in a very convincing way to the kinds of perverse effects that you can have from doing things from what I believe are the best intentions.
Now, this isn't really answering your question directly, but I think there are very few people who really want to destroy the white race.
Maybe there are some.
Maybe there are some who absolutely hate us and want us to disappear.
But by and large, Well, the people who are doing these things, Angela Merkel, I don't think she wants to destroy the white race.
I don't think Hillary Clinton wants to destroy the white race.
I do think that those people genuinely believe they're on the side of the angels.
They are deluded.
They're deluded in an almost psychotic way, but they are doing what they think is right.
And we just have to explain to them what is at stake.
And that's our job, and if we fail at that job, then we won't have a future.
