Hi everyone, Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom.
Today is Tuesday, September 24th, 2024.
Lieutenant Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski will be here with us in a minute on Does NATO Smell Defeat?
And Joe Biden at the UN.
Well, you won't be surprised.
But first this.
A divisive presidential election is upon us, and the winner is gold.
Let me tell you what I mean.
Since 2016, our national debt has grown a staggering 70%, and gold has increased by 60%.
Do you own gold?
I do.
I bought my gold in February 2023, and it has risen 33%.
You've heard me talk about Weir Capital, the company I trust.
Let me tell you why.
Recently, Kevin DeMeritt, who is the founder and CEO of Lear, assisted the FBI in discovering a nationwide gold theft ring.
And because of Kevin's good work, the FBI caught these people before they could steal any more.
That's why I have been saying the people at Lear are good people.
They believe in America.
So take action right now, my friends.

Remember, hope is not a strategy, but gold is.
Colonel Kwiatkowski, welcome back, my dear friend.
Always a pleasure.
Why should we believe Joe Biden today when he said that, well, I'll let you watch what he had to say about the two-state solution?
Chris, cut number 16. As we look ahead, we must also address the rise of violence against innocent Palestinians on the West Bank.
And set the conditions for a better future, including a two-state solution, where the world, where Israel enjoys security and peace and full recognition and normalize relations with all its neighbors, where Palestinians live in security, dignity, and self-determination in a state of their own.
Is there any human on the planet, Karen?
Who's done more to undermine security, dignity, and self-determination of the Palestinian people than Joseph R. Biden?
Well, he's at the top of a long list of people that have harmed the interest of actual people in the Middle East, including Israel.
I mean, he's just terrible.
And, you know, you watch speeches like this, and I know this was his last one that he'll be giving there, but...
You know, he has participated in the lie that the United States supports a two-state solution, and that has been official American policy.
We do nothing.
We do nothing to advance that because the real American policy in the Middle East is driven by Tel Aviv.
It is driven by the Zionist political faction, both here and in Israel.
And that's who writes our policy.
That's who makes our policy.
So for him to get up there, it's empty words.
Now, the good thing is he wasn't shocking any of the audience there.
In showing the lies and the weakness that come out of Washington, because they already know that.
So they don't expect very much from Joe Biden, and that's a good thing.
They got it.
Here he's claiming that Putin has failed.
Now, look, we've heard him say this many, many times, but to his credit, it was two years ago.
I can't believe he's still saying it.
Number 14. So, my direction America stepped into the breach.
Providing massive security and economic and humanitarian assistance.
Our NATO allies and partners in 50-plus nations stood up as well.
But most importantly, the Ukrainian people stood up.
I asked the people of this chamber to stand up for them.
The good news is Putin's war has failed at its core aim.
He set out to destroy Ukraine.
But Ukraine is still free.
You set out to weaken NATO, but NATO is bigger, stronger, more united than ever before.
NATO has never been more divided than it is now.
Ukraine is not free.
They have a holdover president, a caretaker.
I don't even have to go through the litany of things, but let's just look big picture.
The president of the United States of America, for reasons we all understand, not seeking re-election, though legally entitled to do so, giving a swan song at the United Nations.
You would think it would be JFK-like.
Yeah, yeah, that's true.
I watched it.
I watched a replay of it a little while ago, and it occurred to me that, you know, if you were the President of the United States giving your last briefing to the UN, and you want to talk about how great you are and you want to repeat a few lies, but his approach was he didn't, you know, if you go to the UN to give a speech and you're the United States, we fund a quarter of the UN's activities.
We also cause a lot of problems for the UN, but we're kind of the big dog.
You go to the UN to give them a speech.
You celebrate the UN.
You do something like Reagan would do.
You make everybody feel like you're all part of the same team, even when maybe you're not.
I think it's way too much to ask him to do what JFK did in his peace speech or anything like that.
I mean, Biden does not have the...
He's a hollow president and he's a hollow man.
So he would not be able to ever do anything like that.
But he could have appealed more and celebrated more the people at the UN.
Because, you know, I'm kind of a UN cynic.
I don't see that they accomplished very much.
But the people that are in the UN certainly believe in what they're doing, most of them.
And they really are.
I think they're trying.
And he could have.
He could have done more to kind of celebrate the fact that they're trying.
Instead, he tried to just summarize, you know, I'm a great guy.
I've done all these great things.
And everything he said in that last clip, almost every single thing he said was a direct lie.
None of it was true.
Just a lie attached to another lie and another lie.
Do you think NATO smells defeat?
Well, like you said, very divided.
They're also economically and militarily, logistically drained.
So we know that this is a big problem.
All of their governments are going broke.
They have the same problems we have in the West.
Inflation, high energy costs, all these things.
The idea that NATO countries will be able to step up their military investment, that they will be able to afford to upgrade and replenish their logistical supplies with newer, better stuff, ideally.
The idea that their people will tolerate that, that their people will be generous to NATO.
Not only are they divided and broke, they're in no position to ask For replenishment from their own people.
Everybody's tired of it.
They have got nothing to show for it.
And I don't care if Biden thinks that Putin hasn't succeeded in his objective.
I mean, Biden is an idiot.
He has no idea what the objective was, even though we've been told by Putin multiple times, same story for the last three years.
We know exactly what the objective was.
Putin has succeeded, unfortunately, for Biden.
In the European theater for NATO, they know very well what has happened, and it is a defeat for NATO.
They don't even end up, I know they acceded Sweden and Denmark, or Finland, but they're not even going to get Ukraine, even a rump Ukraine as a NATO member.
Who would want Ukraine right now?
They wouldn't, but certainly not now.
And, you know, this is a big part, I think, of Zelensky's latest tour and his whole, you know, we're going to end the war or whatever, because a lot of what Zelensky is asking for now, assuming he's around to see it, is the rebuilding money, you know, the BlackRock investment money, which BlackRock, I'm sure, will be subsidized by, you know, the taxpayer.
But this flow of rebuilding, cleaning up the minefields, you know.
Retraining their military, whatever it is that they need, certainly economic benefits.
What's left of Ukraine is exceptionally broken, and it needs a lot.
And to Zelensky's credit, as he walks still on two feet and he's still the, well, he's not the president, but he's the acting president, I guess, since they suspended elections.
But he is going around and he is talking about...
He's already saying to NATO, don't forget us.
You have to rebuild us.
And NATO's like, what?
We're broke.
Here he is on the flight to the United States.
Of course, he landed in Pennsylvania so he could go to a munitions factory in Scranton, not far from where I am now, hometown of Joe Biden, and there be joined by Senator Bob Casey and Governor Josh Shapiro, Governor Shapiro, as if to mimic Nikki Haley, signed I don't know if you've seen this clip.
We're going to play the clip and Chris will play the picture of Governor Shapiro in the background afterwards.
Signed the artillery shells.
So first cut to President Zelensky on the plane.
We are starting a visit to the United States.
We are now flying to Pennsylvania.
A special visit.
Then New York, Washington.
It is this fall that we'll decide what will happen next in this war.
Together with our partners, we can strengthen our positions as necessary for our victory, our common victory, for a truly just peace.
Ukraine will present the victory plan in the United States, and the President of the United States will be the first to see it in full.
Of course, I will present the victory plan to all leaders of our partners' countries who, like President Biden, are leaders of the world and can become leaders of peace by helping us with the victory plan.
And there's Governor Shapiro.
You see President Zelensky there, former President Zelensky.
The gentleman between them is Senator Bob Casey, who's in a tough re-election fight this fall in Pennsylvania.
I don't know.
What motivates somebody to affix their legal signature to an instrument of death?
When Nikki Haley did it, she even wrote on it and they were going to Israel, not to Ukraine.
Finish them off or finish them.
Yeah, the Nikki Haley one clearly was the politically smart thing to do.
She is proving her loyalty to another country, and that's good.
That's good.
That's what she needed to She advocates for what Israel wants with basically no airspace between them.
So, yeah, she can do that.
But the thing with Ukraine, by signing that, aren't you participating in the war directly?
I mean, I thought we said that, oh, no, we're just supplying, you know, we're just trying to help Ukraine out.
And you're willing to sign that, which means you are engaging in the war.
You are part of that war.
So hypocrisy, number one, is horrendous.
And I would think, you know, it's not just bad form.
I mean, it really, I mean...
I thought governors couldn't make foreign policy.
You know, he should have advised not to do that.
Good point.
She was a governor, but at the time she was running for a Republican nomination for president against Donald Trump.
And he, of course, Governor Shapiro, is the current incumbent governor of Pennsylvania.
They should bring him under those same charges.
I think they asked someone else who was making foreign policy abroad.
I forget what the law is, but, you know.
But luckily, I don't think many people are watching mainstream media anymore.
I don't even know how many people know Zelensky was in the country.
He's talking about a victory plan.
I guess he's going to have some private time with President Biden in D.C. after he speaks to the General Assembly sometime this week.
We still don't know if Prime Minister Netanyahu is coming.
The rumor is that he had canceled this trip.
I don't think he's worried about getting arrested.
I think he wants to be in Israel to orchestrate the killing of more Lebanese civilians.
Yeah.
The other thing, too, with Netanyahu and even with Zelensky, when they leave their country, sometimes their political position becomes vulnerable.
Both of them have enemies in their own courts.
Can Israel, in your view, fight a three-pronged war against Hamas, against Hezbollah, and whoever supports Hezbollah, and against the Houthis?
I don't think they can without our help.
Of course, I think they're counting on our help and we have not, uh, So I think they're counting on us.
I think they're considering that any war that Israel fights, if they need help, America will be there.
They can count on that.
And they can, really, because they own most of Congress.
So Congress can authorize any number of support activities, regardless of what the American people want.
So I think they're counting on it.
But no, when Biden talked about a two-state solution, which he doesn't believe in, and they don't want that, but when he talked about peace and Israel having neighbors that they had good relations with around them, that could have happened many, many decades ago.
All that was needed is for the United States not to support them blindly and certainly not to support them to the tune of a trillion dollars over all those decades and probably more.
We are not yoked with Israel.
We never should be yoked with Israel.
Israel makes their foreign policy counting on that attachment to the United States.
And that is really a mistake for Israel to do it, but it's worked out so far.
But yeah, so they are envisioning what they can do with our help, assuming that they will get whatever they need from us.
That's no way to run a country.
I'm sorry.
You know, I love America, but, you know, we got problems.
So for someone to count on us, to always be there for them, not wise.
So, you know, I don't think they're being very smart at all in Israel.
I don't think they have been, but certainly engaging in these kinds of things that they So, not good.
This will make your blood boil.
Cut from someone who has great respect and affection for you.
Cut number three.
This is a dream scenario for Iran.
They're trying to suck Bibi and Israel into a fight.
October the 7th was designed to stop normalization.
Trump did the Abraham Accords.
Biden's been working to get Saudi Arabia to recognize Israel.
That's a nightmare for Iran.
So October the 7th was designed to stop that.
It was so horrific.
Now you see a front opening in the north.
So here's what I would tell my friends in Israel.
Do not give up on normalization with Saudi Arabia.
I know you've got to deal with Hezbollah.
There was an imminent attack.
But one of two things have to change in the Mideast.
We need to make game-changing peace, which is reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Israel, or game-changing military strategy.
Go into Lebanon to establish a buffer zone.
Won't work unless you hit Iran.
To my friends in Israel, you're fighting the proxies.
Fight the source, the great Satan, Iran.
The public couldn't see what I saw, which was the look on your face as soon as you heard his voice and saw his face.
Well, you know, though, for somebody, well, first off, nobody, and I would give this advice freely to friends and enemies alike, nobody should take any strategic or military advice from Lindsey Graham.
It just should not be done.
That is just not very smart.
He's in the Air Force, I believe.
He's a colonel in the Air Force.
Oh, my Lord.
You're an Air Force veteran.
That is very, very sad.
But, you know, he did seem a little bit nervous, you know, talking about, you know, what he didn't say, which he did, he kind of said it, but without saying it, is, you know, what we have seen is the reconciliation, to some extent, initial steps, between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
And that is just the worst thing that could happen, you know.
It's on a smaller scale.
It's kind of like what we saw when our policies in Ukraine pushed.
Russia and China to more cooperative levels.
So, you know, as he advises, you know, he's giving this advice to Israel, oh, well, please make sure, you know, you stay friends with Saudi Arabia.
I think they're very worried.
I think even a guy as idiotic as Lindsey Graham, and I'm sorry to have to say that, you know, he should not be in uniform in any country.
But, you know, he sounded a little bit nervous.
I think he is concerned that things aren't going.
As well as they really should in his view.
And also, the great Satan, really?
If that's how we define our military enemies, we're not doing very well.
We haven't talked about the explosive devices yet, which is an act of terror and a war crime.
But here's Leon Panetta, who was, of course, a Democratic congressman, was at one point the head of the CIA and another point Secretary of Defense, making some very sound, this is not Lindsey Graham-like at all, some very sound comments about this horrific series of events, cut number 13. Bill, he to be able to place an explosive in technology that is very prevalent these days.
Really, a war of terror.
This is something new.
Is it terrorism?
I don't think there's any question that it's a form of terrorism.
This has gone right into the supply chain.
Right into the supply chain.
And when you have terror going into the supply chain, it makes people ask the question, what the hell is next?
It sounds like you're genuinely worried.
I am.
This is a tactic that has repercussions.
And we really don't know what those repercussions are going to be.
The forces of war are largely in control right now of what's going on.
Do you think there should be condemnation for it?
Should other nations step in, including us?
I think it's going to be very important for the nations of the world to have A serious discussion about whether or not this isn't an area that everybody has to focus on, because if they don't try to deal with it now, mark my word, it is the battlefield of the future.
It is the battlefield of the future.
So he was very sound morally to condemn this as an act of But what he pointed out were things that most people haven't thought of.
This did originate in the supply chain.
Now, the Israelis, the Mossad, established a company in Hungary that everybody thought was local and Hungarian.
And it did employ Hungarian workers, but it was totally owned and operated and run by Mossad.
But still somewhere in the supply chain, they got exposed.
into devices that we all put near our faces and our ears and our eyes every day.
That's right.
That's right.
And I think people did recognize this, even shortly after the first day with the pagers, you know, blowing up on command simultaneously, people were...
Because a lot of people don't remember what pagers were or they have to be reminded and then they go, pagers.
And then what do you think of when you look at a pager?
Well, that's old generation, what we used before, cell phones.
And so everybody uses cell phones and they all have, oh, wait a minute, they all have batteries.
And how many people who have a cell phone had their cell phone get hot before, laid it in the sun or whatever?
Yeah, it is a thing.
So I think a lot of people, whether overtly or subconsciously, became extremely nervous.
even people that know nothing about what's going on between, you know, Hezbollah and Israel or anything else, people that don't follow foreign policy.
The idea that you could have explosives unknown to you in your communication device that is everywhere you are, you probably sleep beside it, that this could be set off remotely on command by some terrorist, because certainly it's a terroristic activity.
There's no doubt about that.
I think it opened up a whole new world of worry for a lot of people.
And I read somewhere where people were unhooking their baby monitors because they just, the sense of trust in the supply chain and in the idea that they wouldn't be targets.
Because certainly many of the people, you know, this was an indiscriminate attack in many ways, although obviously the pagers were being held by people somehow associated with Hezbollah.
Where were they?
Well, they were everywhere.
They were all over the place.
In stores, they were at homes, in hospitals.
They were everywhere.
Have you heard any Western country condemn this?
Actually, I don't think I have.
Not Western.
No, I haven't either.
Could you imagine if Russia or China or North Korea or Iran did this?
And it happened in the U.S.?
It would be a cause for war.
Oh, yeah.
Well, clearly it is a planned terrorist attack.
It is sophisticated in the sense that it interfered with a supply chain, very secretively, of course.
And I think there were some concerns by the companies that said, hey, you know, my name was on this pager.
It blew up.
Trust me, I had nothing to do with it.
I'm suing you for manipulating or interfering with my product.
You know, this is almost like a There are various levels of concern here that could be highly disruptive, far beyond the impact of what they did or what they were trying to accomplish there.
And then, of course, there's the idea that I think a number of your colleagues And it's been reported that the setting off of the pagers and then the next day with the walkie-talkies was premature.
You know, this was an idea.
If you had this connected to a battle plan, it would be followed very immediately by air and even ground invasion.
You know, as you have your enemy disoriented, they haven't had a chance to replace their communication.
That's the best time you want to...
And they'd say, well, it's terroristic, but it was part of a battle plan.
Well, they didn't even do that.
So I don't know what they're thinking.
I don't understand.
Maybe I read that they had to fire them off because they thought it was somebody knew about it and it was going to not work at all.
So let's just get there.
Right.
That's what Larry and Alistair Crook reported is that some low level.
The Israelis learned that Hezbollah learned, so they figured we've already gone to this expense.
We might as well press the button.
How cavalier, if true, if true, how cavalier about the slaughter of innocents.
Yeah, Cavalier about the slaughter of innocents and also Cavalier about the art of war.
This is not...
This is not how you win.
For every victory that Israel is having, military, to the extent that they're having any, and I'm not sure they are, they are not just creating new enemies.
They are having more and more people around the world and in the region sign up to be enemies of Israel.
You know, the BDS, the boycott.
Movement to not buy Israeli products so as to not encourage them to send them a message.
That has exploded since October 7th.
Well, you know, had they had a different response to October 7th or perhaps done their job and prevented it, because I think that's very clearly they did not do their security job and they allowed it to happen.
I think that's pretty obvious to most people.
Had that not been the case, they could have been in a position to counter the BDS movement globally, you know, because they would have maybe achieved some higher ground.
But, you know, the other thing about the BDS movement is would you buy Israeli technology?
You know, they have a lot of technology exports.
Would you buy a cell phone or pager that was shipped to you from Israel?
You may not for a number of reasons.
One of them is you may not.
Be happy with Israel's behavior, their treatment, their genocide, their cavalier attitude towards human life and justice.
Or you might just say, you know, I like Israel, but I don't think I trust it.
I don't know if I trust that.
I think if I had a choice of a Chinese pager or Israeli pager, I want to go with the Chinese one.
Yeah, I never thought of that.
The Israeli economy, according to Professor Sachs, Is in shambles.
It didn't occur to me that this could have a negative effect on the economy because people don't want to purchase Israeli high-tech products.
How do you know that Mossad hasn't tinkered with it?
We don't know.
And I think because the stealthiness of it, the pre-planning of it, the interference with the supply chains early on, months and months ago.
I think it's scary to a lot of people.
You know, we may all have had a too cavalier attitude ourselves about the danger that Israel poses, not just to its neighbors, but to the world and to all the things that we hold dear.
So this is a real problem.
And again, I'm not picking on Israel.
I think they're being really stupid.
You know, I don't like many things that they are doing, but I respect that it's a country.
I don't know if it's revenge, whatever it is that they're doing.
It is not helping Israel, and it is increasing the unification of Israel's enemies.
It's increasing the interest in seeing Israel put in its place, which is, oh, by the way, those UN-authorized borders, not The occupied territory.
So maybe that's how they see it.
Maybe they feel, you know, this is it for us.
We're either going to kill everybody or we're not going to have Israel anymore.
And I think, of course, there's many alternatives to that.
They can survive as a nation, but the things that they're doing do not bode well for its survival as a nation.
Colonel Korkowski, a pleasure, my dear friend, no matter what we talk about.
Apologies for dropping the Lindsey Graham clip on you.
Thank you, Karen.
All the best.
I hope you'll come back next week.
Sure enough.
Thank you, Judge.
Okay.
Coming up tomorrow, Wednesday, Colonel Douglas McGregor at 2 in the afternoon, Phil Giraldi at 3 in the afternoon, Aaron Maté at 4 o 'clock.
