Watch it count down to the end of the day.
The clock takes life away.
It's so unreal.
Didn't look out below.
Watch the time go right out the window.
Welcome to another Just In Form talk radio show.
I'm your host, Craig James.
We're back.
It's Monday, October 21st, 2024.
And as of right now, we are 15 days, 17 hours, and 55 minutes from the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
Yes.
And the betting odds are still going in President Trump's favor with him now holding a 61.3 to 38.7% lead in the betting odds on Polymarket.
And other polls are showing him in the lead in other states, key swing states, that is.
But early voting is underway, not just across the nation, but right here in our own backyard in Colorado, yes.
Yes, the mail-in ballots that we didn't ask for were sent and we have received them.
Hopefully you have yours.
And the election is ongoing.
So...
Today I'm going to take a minute and go through some of the voting amendments that are on the ballot, because I think it's worth understanding what they are.
Now, I'm by no means a policy expert in regard to all of these ballot initiatives and amendments that are being proposed, but...
I will do my best to give you a general idea of what the amendments are and what it looks like to support or oppose them.
And I'll let you guys let me know what you think about them as well.
I think that's important.
We're also going to be having at least one if not several guests on who are running for office here in Weld County and Larimer County and here in the state of Colorado.
Because I believe that we should be putting a highlight on these people.
And, you know, a lot of you may have already filled out your ballot and turned it in, which they're encouraging us to do now.
First it was we have to vote in person on Election Day, but now everybody's being encouraged to vote early and vote...
Well, if you're a Democrat, it's vote early and vote often, right?
That's the joke.
But truly, it is something that we need to do.
We need to vote.
And that's why I want to take some time on today's show and go through the 2024 election here in Colorado's amendments and propositions and what they mean because I just think that's quite important.
Also, at some point during the week, I've reviewed our ballots here, right?
And we have, obviously, we have our representatives who we're going to be voting for, president who we're going to be voting for, and another section of it, which I'm going to do probably in tomorrow's show, I'd imagine.
Or the show after that is go through the state Supreme Court justices who are on the ballot, the judges who are being, you know, voted in favor or against on the ballot and just talk about who they are, what they represent, try to get a better understanding of that.
We're going to try to get somebody on here who has some expertise in that, who can kind of walk us through it.
But...
That's sort of the plan for the first part of the show here today.
Of course, we have, as always, our Monday sermon from Sunday and Pastor Dean Miller at Front Range Baptist Church.
We're going to be playing that here in the second hour, so you guys are going to want to stay tuned for that because it was a great sermon.
I I can tell you that.
And I want to say thank you to everybody who's shown up at church down there.
You know, I'm hearing such positive feedback about you guys who hear the sermons here on the show and then go to church.
And I've met several of you, and I'm so thankful to God.
I really am.
Because I'm not building my treasure here on earth.
I'm building it in heaven.
And if I can help build my treasure in heaven by getting...
You guys, the listeners, to come down and come to church and receive that gospel message that you can then go take for yourself but also share with your family and friends.
That's all I want.
I have no other desire in life.
After that, I know God will bless me with what He sees fit.
And I'm just so thankful for you guys showing up because I'm just hearing great things about how enthusiastic you guys are and how much you're making the church Really, even better place than it is.
And, yeah, we'll be listening to that in the second hour.
But, over the weekend, over the weekend, what's happened over the weekend?
Well, not a whole lot.
You know, World War III, of course, looming on the horizon.
That never changes.
But...
In fact, we are also being blessed with some of the greatest memes ever created in the form of Donald Trump working at McDonald's.
Yes, folks.
I wish that I could portray and project a picture into the radio for you guys to see the visual that I saw over the weekend.
But it was something incredible.
And I mean this in the form of, you know...
The fact that Trump is a master class troller of both the media and his political opponents, and this one was, I gotta say, takes the cake.
It really does.
You had Donald Trump going to a McDonald's, I think in Pennsylvania, but don't quote me on that, and essentially working as a fry cook for, you know, a couple hours.
And Why this is so great?
Well, there are so many reasons.
Let me count the ways.
First of all, we all know Kamala's famous claim that she's made in several interviews and I think even some of her political ads about how she was a fry cook at McDonald's and that's what makes her qualified to become president.
wrong with working at a fast food joint it i've worked some crap jobs in my day that you know i'm so thankful i did do you know where it taught me character it taught me worth that work ethic it taught me you know responsibility and you know not many people though aspire to have their life career be you know fry cook at mcdonald's even though i know of people who start at the fry cook and end up owning because it's a franchise they end up owning a mcdonald's or two or three and
And they make a great living.
They make a lot of money, and it's a great career.
Now, we can get into the health stuff with regard to McDonald's.
I'm not a fan of McDonald's.
I'm not a fan of fast food in general.
As a matter of fact, I don't think I've had fast food in several, several years.
It's not very healthy.
You know, a lot of the food, the oil, the quality is not as good as it is, but I understand some people are in a hurry and some people are not as concerned about all that or...
Whatever the situation may be, you know, they'll go to McDonald's and they swear by it.
Good for you.
To each their own.
That's America.
You like McDonald's?
Go to McDonald's.
That's fine with me.
I personally think what we should do, we don't necessarily need to get rid of McDonald's or all fast food.
I think what we should do is kind of Europe in some ways gets it right.
They're not right about a lot of things, but in some ways they are right, in particular with how they protect their food and the ingredients that go into their food.
I think we should have that sort of system, but I digress.
When we come back, I'm going to tell you all about Donald Trump's foray into fry cooking, which, not going to lie, You're going to want to hear about.
Plus, like I said, we're going to go through all of these amendments and propositions on the ballot here in Colorado for our election, and we're going to talk about that and a whole lot more.
So, stay tuned.

We'll be right back.
back to Just Form Talk Radio with your host, Craig James.
And we're talking about this whole Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, McDonald's thing.
Because it's kind of the funny story of the weekend.
We'll get into the more serious stuff in just a minute.
But, you know, Donald Trump decides to head over to a fast food, a McDonald's joint.
And this was in Pennsylvania, and this was in, I don't know the township it was in, but it was in Pennsylvania.
And essentially what Donald Trump did was he showed up, put on the little fry cook apron, went in there, cooked up some french fries, you know, served some burgers, and talked to people who drove through the drive-thru, etc., And this was obviously a master class troll of Kamala Harris who is, you know, famous or infamously told us that she was a fry cook and she was proud of that.
Now, like I said before, this is not a slight against people who start off working in the fast food industry or work in the fast food industry who want to move up and maybe own a restaurant one day or two or three or four.
Who knows?
And be very successful.
And this is not an endorsement of fast food like McDonald's and all that stuff because I don't think that stuff is very healthy at all.
And I think it's very bad for your health, not necessarily because of anything other than the fact that the ingredients are very, you know, processed and there's a lot of synthetic sort of preservatives and things that, you know, they don't allow in certain other countries that they allow here in America, they don't allow in certain other countries that they allow here in America, which I don't think is healthy or And it's probably had a deleterious effect on the public health and safety.
But that aside...
The masterclass trolling here was top notch for Trump because of several reasons.
First of all, you know, quipping with the reporters throughout the entire thing, making remarks like, Kamala, Kamala, I've worked in McDonald's longer than Kamala's ever been in a McDonald's, okay?
Okay, I'm a fry cook now.
Look at me.
Hey, look.
See, I'm making fries.
I'm better than Kamala at this.
I'm the best fry cook ever.
That was my best Trump impression, but he did it and it was, I mean, it was just hilarious.
Like, I was laughing out loud when I saw the visual of it.
You know, him and his, you know, he's got a suit and tie on with a fry cook apron on over it and he's just doing the thing, you know, making the fries and You know, it's so funny.
So the visual is obviously appealing to the public, people who think it's funny, people who think it's admirable, people who think otherwise, whatever.
There are millions, I think eight.
I think there's over 10 million fast food workers in America, maybe eight to 10 million.
And so it's obviously appealing to those people.
But The funny thing is, you know, as you watch Trump kind of have this rapport and, you know, he's serving the people in the drive-thru and he's making the comments to the reporters who are inside and outside, like, I've worked at McDonald's longer than Kamala.
I'm sorry, Kamala.
Sorry, she's never worked at McDonald's.
Nope, but I have.
See, look, I'm here.
And it's absolutely hilarious, A. B, you know, you have this whole kind of dynamic there where it really does show us how approachable Trump is, I think.
The difference between Kamala and Trump is this.
Whereas Trump will put on an apron and genuinely go work in the back and fry the fries and serve the food I don't think Kamala would be caught dead doing it.
She'll go to a McDonald's.
She'll walk around and cackle and laugh and talk about, you know, whatever that old song is about the Big Mac, you know, two double buns on a burger or whatever.
I don't know that song.
I'm not that old.
I think that was before my time.
But she'll do all that.
She'll go there.
She'll eat some of the food, you know.
But I don't think she would be caught dead in an apron in the back doing the fries.
And now the funniest thing is, if she does do that, then it's just, you know, obviously, she copies Trump on everything else, so why not copy him on that?
But beyond that, it's like, it just shows you the difference in personality and character, I think.
And now the left is saying, well, Trump didn't actually work at the McDonald's because they closed it.
So they closed it that day.
So that's not actually working.
Well, let me ask you this.
If I go to a job and it's closed and they're training me on how to do the job, am I working?
A. I mean, that's like...
Yeah, that is working because there's, you know, you're working.
You're not, you may not be working at an open store.
I mean, if I go to a restaurant as a worker and they're not open, but I'm prep cooking, am I working?
So that's A. But it doesn't matter, because if that's their biggest gotcha, it's hilarious, because everybody's pointing to the sign on the front.
B, what the hell do you think Trump was going to do?
You think he was going to just let the Secret Service, after they tried to kill him twice, is just going to let random people pull up on him at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania?
I mean, it's absurd.
So of course the people who were in the drive-thru were...
You know, selected people who are like, oh yeah, you can get served by Trump.
That's great.
And Trump's like, yeah, I'll do it.
But beyond all of that, right?
Because that's the biggest controversy with this.
I think the left hates the visual of this.
They hate it because it makes Trump so approachable and appealing.
Even more so than he is with such a big lead.
I mean, we're talking about in the betting markets, it looks like he's got about a 20-point lead at this point.
Even so, you have McDonald's actually issuing an official statement according to their...
according to an account that is...
Take it with a grain of salt.
I'm assuming this is verified because it's being widely reported.
But if it's not, then disregard it because it's not even that big a deal.
But McDonald's essentially says this.
They say, you know, Trump visited a McDonald's.
He worked there.
McDonald's doesn't endorse elected candidates for office.
But then it goes on to say something interesting.
It says this, while we and our franchisees don't have records for all positions dating back to the early 80s, what makes 1 in 8 so powerful is the shared experience so many Americans have had.
So, what they essentially are saying in this statement, and again, take it with a grain of salt, I'm assuming this is a real statement they put out, is that they have no record of Kamala ever working at a McDonald's.
Which, look, that doesn't mean she never worked at a McDonald's, but it seems more likely than not that, just like when she told us that her favorite rap artists in college were Biggie and Tupac,
When those artists didn't even release albums until a decade after she left college, it would seem to me that this may be just another one of those fabrications to make her sound like she's a woman of the people.
And if that's the case, again, are we surprised?
No.
No, we are not, unfortunately.
So that was the whole McDonald's Trump story in a nutshell.
Let me know what you think.
877-536-1360 is the number you can text or call.
But with that being said, the other thing I wanted to do this morning before we listen to that sermon from Pastor Dean Miller is talk about the amendments and propositions that are on the ballot here in Colorado and just give you a general idea of what they are. the other thing I wanted to do this morning before And, you know, sometimes the language in these things is written in a way that is intentionally confusing.
I believe it was my it was a Pastor Miller who even said previously they the guys who write these amendments are basically, you know, the same guys who write the instructions for the IKEA furniture.
Sure.
It's just impossible to follow.
And that's intentional, too, by the way.
When you look at the ballot, the more comprehensive the wording is on it, the more likely it is something they don't want you to understand.
And a lot of these amendments are written in a way, I'll just say, that is very deceptive.
Like, It's written in a way to make it sound like it's appealing to conservatives, but it really is a liberal agenda hidden within it.
And we know that because our government in Colorado is run by Democrats and they are deceptive in nature, generally speaking, with regard to how they pass policies.
So, let's start here.
Amendment G. Okay, I'm going to do these in order that they appear on the ballot.
So what this is is the modifying property tax exemptions for veterans with disabilities.
So what it basically does is it reduces the property taxes paid by some veteran homeowners by expanding the existing homestead exemption for veterans with 100% service-related disability to include veterans whose disability is rated as making them unemployable.
And, of course, in my humble opinion, you know, reading through it, I'm not, again, not a policy expert by any means, so I'm not going to claim to have a full thousand percent grasp on, you know, what the intricacies are.
But on the surface, it seems as though this is something that, you know, as a conservative, most conservatives would be supporting this bill.
Because it does help our veterans, it eases their cost of living, and it also would be supporting basically lower taxes in general, right?
So that's Amendment G. That's the first amendment on the ballot here in Colorado.
Amendment H. Now this one I'm not going to lie.
I'm not 100% sure on this one.
Maybe you guys can text in and let me know.
But basically it's called the Judicial Discipline Procedures and Confidentiality Amendment.
Amendment H. So, basically...
On one hand, you could say that this is something that will provide higher accountability and transparency for the judicial branch, which is important, but a lot of conservatives may look at a bill like this and say it's not structured properly, and I'm not sure that this is going to have the correct process for achieving the ends to which it seeks.
So, my humble position is, when you tell me that you're going to take a select panel of judges and then expand that to include citizens and lawyers, my general gut feeling on this one is pretty simply anything that expands the government I'm against as a limited government conservative, generally speaking.
So, I'm going to let you guys let me know what you think about that one.
Alright, next.
Amendment I. It's a constitutional bail exception for first degree murder.
Now this one is an interesting one.
What it does is It allows judges to deny bail to a person charged with first-degree murder when the judge determines that the proof is evident or presumption is great that the person committed the crime.
Currently, judges have to set the bail for each person charged with first-degree murder.
So they have to give bail to murderers, right?
And this one's a no-brainer, I think, simply because This is essentially saying that a judge is within his discretion to say, you clearly murdered somebody, so we're not going to give you bail.
You're going to be denied bail.
You're going to be remanded in custody until your trial.
Without bail.
Now, obviously the left, they love letting murderers free out on our streets.
They love, you know, these bail reforms that end up making, you know, murderers who commit first-degree murder and are clearly guilty.
Making it so that they can come back out on the street and murder again.
And I would say, as a Christian and a conservative, the way I would look at this is that we would want to support this amendment because it would give judges that ability to deny bail to murderers who are clearly murderers.
But what do I know?
When we come back, we'll keep going through all these.
Stay tuned.

Welcome back to Just Informed Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
We're going through some of these Colorado State amendments and propositions that are going to be on the ballot this upcoming election.
You guys probably already have your mail-in ballots that you got unsolicited because that's how Colorado works.
You know, just like California, you just send out the mail-in ballots and let the election fraud begin.
But we're talking about some of these things.
So, so far we talked about Amendment G. Which would be modifying property tax exemptions for veterans with disabilities, which I said I think I'm in favor of supporting it, and that would mean constitute marking yes on your ballot for that amendment.
We talked about Amendment H, which is Judicial Discipline and Procedures.
I personally would say no on that because I don't understand how expanding this sort of oversight from judges to judges, lawyers, and citizens could ever be a good thing, especially here in Colorado.
Amendment I, I think I will be voting in favor of and putting a yes down because it, as we established, creates a situation where judges can deny bail to people who are charged with first-degree murder when evidence is evident or the creates a situation where judges can deny bail to people who are charged with first-degree murder when evidence is evident or the presumption Which is the opposite of what liberals want to do.
They want to let murderers back out on our streets.
And we're going to get into the rest of these amendments here in just a second.
Remember, I'm not telling you how to vote.
I'm telling you what I think about these amendments and how I would be voting on them.
So I'm not telling you, instructing you on how to vote.
I'm merely talking about what the amendment says and what I think I will be voting on.
How I think I'll be voting on these amendments.
Okay, really quick though, we got our friend Kevin on the line.
Kevin, we want to try to get through these, so what do you got real quick?
Real quick.
Those amendments, a lot of it's common sense.
Vote from your heart.
What would Jesus do?
Vote like that.
Second thing, I know you have listeners in New Mexico.
Roswell got a flash flood and a lot of devastation down there in Roswell this morning.
I believe the water is breaking.
The birth pains have started and the water is broke.
Yeah, yeah, we'll pray for them down there.
That's horrific.
I saw some videos over the last 24 hours of just the torrential rain and floods that just came out of nowhere down there, which, you know, that's what happens.
I mean, I lived in New Mexico for several years, and, you know, they have, in New Mexico, they have arroyos everywhere, and those arroyos are dry 99% of the time, but they're there because it's a desert, and when it rains, You get these flash floods, and it's horrific, and, you know, it really is what shapes the landscape.
But we'll pray for those people.
Thanks for bringing that up, Kevin.
I appreciate it.
You're welcome, brother.
That's it.
Get on with the show.
This is important.
God bless you.
Talk to you later, Craig.
All right.
God bless.
Thank you.
All right.
Let's keep going.
Amendment J. Excuse me.
So this is an important one, folks, if you're a Christian, in my humble opinion.
Amendment J is this, repealing the definition of marriage in the Constitution.
So what this is going to do, essentially, is it's going to repeal the language in the Colorado Constitution that defines valid marriage as a union between one man and one woman.
Essentially, with same-sex marriage being legal nationwide and in Colorado, This is going to constitutionally change our Colorado State Constitution to say that marriage legally defined is not just between man and woman.
Now, if you're a Christian, and if you're a conservative, and you've read the Bible, and you understand biology, and you're not one of these people who doesn't know what a woman is, and can't tell you that, then I think...
This is an important one because if they keep disintegrating the definitional value of things, right?
Like, that's how communism takes over a nation.
They change the language, folks.
This is seeking to change the language.
To take what marriage is, which is a holy, sacred matrimony between a biological man and a biological woman, And completely sully the whole thing by making it into anything can marry anything, right?
You can marry a light pole.
Dogs can marry cats.
And you think I'm joking, but I'm not.
I was at the Aurora, Colorado rally with President Trump on last Friday.
Or the Friday before last.
And let me tell you something, okay?
There was a little girl who came up and gave a speech at the Trump rally talking about how one of her classmates identifies as a cat, so they put a litter box in the bathroom.
A human girl!
Okay?
This is how you destroy a society.
That's what's happening here in Colorado.
So the Christian conservative perspective on this is that basically the only valid form of marriage is the union of one man and one woman regardless of what the law says.
So I will be opposing this and voting no on Amendment J because it's insane.
And we live in clown world because these people have lost their minds, their ever living minds.
Alright, another one here.
Amendment K. Okay, so this one's an interesting one.
It's modifying constitutional election deadlines.
So what this is going to do essentially is it's going to make deadlines one week earlier for citizens to submit signatures for initiatives and referendum positions and for judges to file declarations of intent to seek another term and requires that the content of the ballot measures be published in local newspapers 30 days earlier than the current 15 days before ballots are sent out.
This is essentially going to make it more difficult for Colorado citizens to gather signatures for initiatives and the process of verifying signatures can be addressed with better administration and funding.
Ballot measure language is also heavily publicized and making this whole thing unnecessary.
I think what this is, essentially, is a way of curtailing our, as citizens, ability to gather signatures for initiatives and referendums, which, in my humble opinion, I'm not sure is the best thing for our state.
Anything that takes power away from the people and limits our ability to work and expands the ability of government to come in and say, you have to do this, that, and the other, I oppose.
So I'll be voting no on this because the government needs to be accountable to the people and the increase in public awareness does not outweigh the additional hurdles that it would present to the initiatives brought up by we, the people.
So That would be my opinion, but you guys can obviously vote however you want.
Okay, Amendment 79.
Now this one's another important one, folks.
This one's one of the biggest ones.
All right?
Amendment 79 is the constitutional right to abortion.
Okay, they're going to try to make abortion a constitutional right here in Colorado and prohibit state and local governments from denying, impeding, or discriminating against exercising that right.
What this means is that there will be no restrictions on abortions that can ever be passed in the future and it denies parents the right to be notified when their minor child seeks an abortion.
It also repeals an existing Colorado constitutional provision banning the use of public funds for abortion services.
So those who oppose abortion should not be required to fund it under force of law, but that's exactly what this bill is seeking to do.
So if you are against abortion, you're voting no on 79.
You are voting no.
No on 79.
Remember that.
If you don't vote anything else in this election, for the love of all that's good...
Please vote no on 79.
I will be voting no on 79, but again, you vote however you want, but basically there is a sanctity of life and abortion is a clear violation of that.

Welcome back to this Forum Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
We're going over the amendments and propositions on the ballot here in Colorado in this upcoming election.
So we're going to keep going in that direction here in just a second.
Before we do, though, I want to thank our friend, Medicare Dan.
If you guys don't know him, he's your local Medicare specialist here in Northern Colorado.
He's got an office right over in Loveland at 290 East 25th Street.
What he does is he specializes in Medicare supplements, Advantage plans and prescription drug plans.
He also handles dental and vision insurance along with hospital indemnity plans.
You can give him a call today at 970-612-8717 to set up an appointment where he'll give you a free complimentary review of your current Medicare plan.
The annual enrollment is already in effect.
It started October 15th and it ends December 7th.
So you're going to want to get this done sooner than later.
Don't put it off until the last second.
Make sure you give him a call or check out his website at danthemedicareman.com.
And or call them at 9706128717.
Let me just say this.
You got to get that in order.
Get all of that optimized.
Get that complimentary review.
He'll go over what the new plans are.
There's new changes to all the prescriptions and other plans and Advantage plans coming in 2025.
And he'll walk you through all of that.
And help you figure out what the best plans are for you to fit your budget but also give you all the coverage you need.

Okay, so we just left off at Amendment 79, which was the amendment that's seeking to codify or put into law The right to abortion in Colorado, which I personally will be opposing and voting no on.
And I would tell you guys, if you don't want abortion in Colorado to be a part of the Constitution and made into law, then you would be voting no on 79 as well.
Okay, Amendment 80, the constitutional right to school choice.
So what this is...
It creates a constitutional right to school choice for K-12 children and their parents and specifies that school choice includes public, private, homeschool, and any future innovations in education.
It also creates the right for parents to direct the education of their children.
Obviously, in my humble opinion, parents have a right and an obligation to be directly in control of their children's education.
And school choice is essentially what that is.
The woke liberal leftists want your kids in communist re-education camps, mostly.
And they want you to have no say in what your kids taught at school so that, you know, they go to the school and they teach your children that, you know, little Tammy identifies as a cat, so we need to put a litter box in the girls' room so she can have a place to go potty.
And then your kids come home and they ask you, well, you know, why can people become cats?
So if you don't want to be forced to put your kid in one of those institutions, you don't have the right to choose, I would say voting yes on Amendment 80 would be the correct choice.
Here's an interesting one.
Proposition JJ, which allows the state to keep sports betting tax revenue above the amount previously approved by voters and use this money for water projects rather than refunding it to casinos and sports betting operators.
Tabor requires excess tax revenue to be refunded and water programs are already fully funded.
Excess gambling taxes should be used to fund gambling addiction programs.
So, here's my take on it, alright?
Simply put.
This is sort of a limited government principle thing.
This sounds great.
This is what I was telling you about with this deceptive language they put on there.
Oh, we're going to take the tax money from those evil sports bettors, which...
Don't get me wrong.
I mean, vices are not great.
We should not be supporting it.
And put it to water projects, okay?
So it's good now.
But the subtle subcontext of all this is that it's just expanding the scope of government's ability to take taxpayer dollars that they shouldn't have and use them however they like, right?
It's just expanding that notion.
If you support limited government and lower taxes, the negative effects of gambling on individuals and their families should be better addressed by those who legalized it, not by the government getting involved.
Okay?
So that would be, you know, I would say if you believe in limited government and you don't want to expand this, I would say Proposition JJ be voting.
You'd probably vote no on it.
I'll be voting no on it.
Here's another one.
This is a really important one, guys.
Proposition KK. So this is the Firearms and Ammunition Excise Tax.
So what this does is it creates a new 6.5% tax on firearms, parts, and ammunition and uses the new revenue to fund crime, victim support services, mental health services for veterans and youth, and school safety programs.
What this would essentially do is increase state tax revenue by $39 million in just its first year and make gun ownership more expensive for hunters and for citizens who wish to protect themselves.
The beneficiary programs are already funded by federal and state taxes.
So another one that when you read the language on the ballot, this is where it's so maniacally deceptive, right?
They're saying, oh, well, we're just going to tax those evil guns, right?
So we can make more money for victims and mental health and veterans and youth and schools.
Well, again, if you support the Second Amendment, this is essentially an affront to the Second Amendment.
It's like an end-around to making guns more difficult to have.
They're going to increase the taxes on them by 6.5%, folks.
So when you buy a gun, you're going to be paying 6.5% more in taxes on it.
And I would say if you are a Second Amendment enthusiast, if you're a limited government conservative, and if you're a patriot who loves this country, who believes in firearm ownership as being one of our inalienable rights given to us by God, which is the right to self-defense, then I would say you'd vote no on Proposition KK, which I will be voting no on it.
It's just an end around to another way of banning guns, right?
They're just going to make them too expensive for anyone to afford.
The next one is Proposition 127.
So this one's pretty simple.
They want to prohibit bobcat lynx and mountain lion hunting.
And right now this would amend the Colorado statutes to prohibit the hunting or trapping of bobcats, lynx, or mountain lions and to continue the permit to permit the killing of these animals under certain limited circumstances.
Even though killing lynx is already prohibited, Colorado Parks and Wildlife carefully monitors and manages the population of predators in relation to overall biodiversity.
Basically, this is a hunting ban.
They want to restrict your ability to be able to go out and hunt.
And if you're a conservative who supports lower taxes, conscious rights, and limited government, you're probably going to want to vote no on 127.
Again, that's no on 127.
I know I will be.
Stay tuned.
Here's the deal.

There's something happening here.
What it is ain't exactly clear.
There's a man with a gun over there, telling me I've got to beware.
I think it's time we stop.
children, what's that sound?
Everybody look what's going down Welcome back to Just Form Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
We're going over the propositions and amendments that are on the ballot here in Colorado in our upcoming election.
We just finished up on Proposition 127, the hunting ban, which I will be opposing by voting no on it.
And if you want to oppose a hunting ban, then you would vote no on 127 as well.
Now we're at Proposition 128.
So this is an interesting one.
Parole eligibility for crimes of violence.
So this would in effect It also makes a person convicted of a third violent crime ineligible for discretionary parole or earned time reductions.
Kind of like the three strikes and you're out rule.
So I would say, if you are a conservative Christian who understands that justice means getting what one deserves, and this would ensure that more just penal system benefits public safety, and of course we know our liberal friends want to make violent criminals, make it much more easier for violent criminals to get out and go and commit crimes.
Now I'm all for rehabilitation, but...
In this particular case, if you are a person who's committing violent crimes, I'm in no way, shape, or form in favor of reducing your time for eligibility of parole, so I will be voting yes on Proposition 128 because it would, in fact, make the law tougher on violent criminals.
So if you want tougher laws on violent criminals, you would vote yes on Proposition 128.
Okay.
Proposition 129.
This is establishing veterinary professional associates.
So I'm not, this one I'm in the, not a professional veterinary by any means, and I don't have this complex understanding of this, but I, this is the general understanding.
It would establish the new regulated profession of veterinary professional associate as provider of veterinary care alongside veterinarians, veterinary clinics, and veterinary technician specialists.
So this is something that would increase job opportunities in small business formation and would extend veterinary care to underserved areas of the state.
Some people say one thing about it.
I think the veterinary associations are against it because it will obviously cut into their business model.
Anybody who has a dog or a cat or a pet who goes to the vet regularly understands how expensive it is, and I think that anything we can do to cut the price down on that by allowing people to work and be veterinarians is a good thing.
So I would say if that's what you think, too, then you would vote yes and support Proposition 129.
Proposition 130, funding for law enforcement.
So this would provide $350 million in additional funding to local law enforcement agencies to improve officer recruitment and retention.
It requires the state to provide a one-time $1 million death benefit to the family of each state and local law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty.
The sum is more than 10 times the most recent allocation of state funds to retention and recruitment.
This will require the legislature to fine $350 million either through tax increases, budget cuts, or some combination.
It is not clear that such massive sum is targeted at the real needs of law enforcement across the state.
So crime is a major issue here in Colorado and conservatives support law enforcement.
And, however, this would greatly expand government and raise taxes and conservatives.
If you are a limited government conservative, fiscally conservative, I'm not sure, you know, look, I love our law enforcement, so this is what I'm torn on.
So I'll let you guys decide.
If you think you're willing to put more taxpayer money behind this program, just know that it's going to be coming from somewhere, and that somewhere is going to be your paycheck.
And if the laws keep going the way they are, and the officers have their hands tied, why are we funding them anyway?
They're not going to enforce the laws.
And that's my opinion, so that would be a no on 130, but...
Hey folks, the Rev here.

Hello Church, Henry here from God's Feeding Station.
1 John 4, 16 says, So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in Him.
That's who God is.
His love for us is boundless.
It is incomparable and incomprehensible.
And it is demonstrated in the sacrifice on the cross by His Son for our sins.
And Paul tells us in Romans 8, verses 38 and 39, nothing can separate us from that love.
For I am sure, Paul says, that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Come explore this love with us at GodsFeedingStation.org, a proud sponsor of Craig James and JustInformed Talk Radio.
Thank you.

Also, we're going to be working with them coming up on Monday, November 4th, the day before the election, to do a day of fasting, repentance, and prayer.
We encourage everybody who is able to join us in that going to God and humbly seeking his will to be done in the upcoming election.
So speaking of the election, I want to make sure you guys know the final proposition that's on the ballot is one of the more important ones.
Proposition 131.
This basically would be creating open primaries in Colorado and ranked choice voting in general elections.
Basically, it creates an all-candidate primary election for certain state and federal offices where the top four candidates advance to the general election and allows voters to rank those candidates in the general election with votes counted over multiple rounds to determine who wins the election.
So ranked choice voting works...
Very poorly, to put it mildly, it's confusing and it also doesn't guarantee majority support.
It basically reduces the role of political parties in the whole process entirely and it would enshrine the single party rule in districts that are already non-competitive.
Do not vote.
Listen, you can vote however you want.
Scratch that.
I'm not going to tell you how to vote.
But if you prefer the traditional and time-tested methods that aren't experimental exercises in consolidating power for a one-party state, you would vote no on Proposition 131 and not allow...
Open primaries and ranked choice voting, in my humble opinion.
It's a failed system that the communists want because it would basically all but enshrine their one-party rule in perpetuity.
So, I would say, if you don't want that, vote no on Proposition 131.
Alright, so we've gone through all the ballots, all the initiatives, the amendments and propositions.
Now, we're going to go over and listen to a sermon called Christ Who Is Our Life from Pastor Dean Miller at Front Range Baptist Church.
Let's listen to that.
Thank you.
Colossians chapter number 3.
And we finally found it.
We've been looking for this chapter for a while.
But we have been going through the book of Colossians trying to stay on target.
The Apostle Paul had never visited this church at Colossae.
And he's writing this letter from prison in Rome and he has been visited by a man by the name of Epaphras and a man by the name of Philemon.
Epaphras and Philemon had both come to Jesus Christ through Paul's ministry in Ephesus.
Both of them had been saved and wanted to stay with the apostle Paul.
But they went back to their home in Colossae.
And Philemon opened his house up.
And Epaphras started bringing people in.
And they began to share the gospel with their family and their friends.
As all Christians should do.
Begin to share the gospel with their family and friends.
And many people in Colossae started getting saved.
But then here comes what always follows...
The work of Christ is there's always the following of false teachers.
How many of you have ever known, have you ever seen that?
The false teachers come, and they had invaded this little church at Colossae with three great false doctrines.
One was Jewish legalism.
There were some that were coming in there saying, hey, Gentiles, you're going to need to be circumcised.
We're going to have to abstain from these kind of meats.
We've got to observe these holy days.
We've got to do all of these things.
And so they began to kind of infuse into the church.
Okay, now that we have Christ, let's observe certain religious duties.
Let's observe certain religious days.
Let's certain religious diets and so forth.
And Paul had to fight that and say, listen, it's not religion is not the way to God.
You're not going to find God through the religious practices of diets and days and so forth.
And so that was one of the great problems that came into the church.
The second thing was the Greek philosophy, the philosophies of the Epicureans, the philosophies of the Stoics, and the great philosophies that invaded the church saying, you know what?
The body is really amoral.
And really, the physical world is all just physical and it doesn't have anything to do with the spiritual.
So as long as in the soul and in the spirit you pursue God, it doesn't really matter what you do in your body.
You can eat, drink, and be merry.
And it's okay.
And that was a philosophy that kind of crept in to the church.
And Paul was battling that philosophy.
Because it's not okay.
We don't just pursue God with our mind and our spirit and live any way we want to live.
So wait a minute.
I thought it wasn't about diets and duties and days.
But wait a minute.
You're saying it's not just live and let live.
Well, there was also Easter mysticism that crept in.
And they were worshipping angels.
They were worshipping heavenly planets and bodies and Jupiter and all kinds of things.
And Paul had to fight all of that.
And Paul was saying, listen, you're off target.
You're off focus.
The focus is Jesus Christ.
And for two chapters, Paul has laid out...
A very clear understanding and argument of who Jesus Christ is.
He starts off with saying He is the Creator.
Jesus Christ is the Creator.
In the beginning was the Word.
The Word was with God and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
And by Him were all things made that were made.
Jesus Christ is the Creator.
Listen...
We did not just spring out of some primordial stew.
And there wasn't just two atoms that somewhere collided and then out of that collision came all the order out of that chaos.
If that were true, listen, if evolution were true, I wish I would have known that when I was a kid.
Because cleaning my room would have been a lot more fun.
If I could have just gathered all the matter in my room into one big pile, rolled a hand grenade in, had a huge big bang, and all my shirts would have been hung up and my socks all color-coded in the drawer, that would have made it a lot more fun to be a kid cleaning my room.
But I will tell you that Christ is the creator.
He is the word by which all of these things came to being.
We're not just random chance of evolution.
We are created beings by God.
What an awful thing to say to children.
That you're just a clump of cells that survived the evolutionary process and here you are.
You only live once.
There's no hope in this life.
You're just going to live once and then you're going to die.
And so you do whatever you want.
And we tell children today that they came from animals and then we're always surprised that they act like them.
But I will tell you this, God created us in his image, and we have a purpose and a plan, and Jesus Christ is the creator.
So Paul laid it out very plain, but he said not only is he the creator, but he's the redeemer.
And he is the one who gave his life a ransom at Calvary to give you redemption and forgiveness to the shedding of his blood and the broken body of Jesus Christ at Calvary.
Listen, why would we observe diets and days?
Why would we pray to angels or planets or Jupiter or chase the alignment of the stars?
Why would we do all of that when we have Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is all in all.
And Paul made the statement, he said, you are complete in Christ.
Now, these people were saying, you can go a lot further.
You can start with Jesus, but we can take you a lot further than that.
I'm going to just tell you, you can go a lot further into Jesus, but you cannot go further than Jesus.
Alright, we're coming right back.
Stay tuned.

Every Saturday morning, 11 to noon.
We'll be right back.
Welcome back to Just Form Talk Radio.
We're listening to Pastor Dean Miller and his sermon, Christ Who Is Our Life, from...
Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Services are at 9, 30, and 11 a.m.
If you want to come join us, and it's all are welcome.
So let's go back to Pastor's sermon.
...further into Jesus, but you cannot go further than Jesus.
I can go deeper into Christ, but I cannot go deeper than Christ.
He is the riches and the fullness of God.
Everybody with me on that?
Say amen.
He is the fullness of God.
So Paul has laid out for two chapters a theological doctrinal argument that we don't need any other thing but Christ.
When you have Christ, you have it all.
Now Paul's going to make a transition.
He's going to become very practical because all of that is intently spiritual, but all of that is very practical.
Paul did not just have his head up in the clouds.
Paul had his feet firmly on the ground.
And Paul, though he was very heavenly minded, he was also in a Roman jail cell and the rattling of that chain reminded Paul where he was.
And that I'm going to live that life in this life.
Now I want to tell you, all of those false things have crept into the churches today.
We have people today with all manner of religion thinking that man can earn their way, that we can pay God off by good deeds and religious ceremonies and all kinds of things, that somehow we can do enough good that when we get there, God will give us a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
And we're either in or we're out.
Well, I would tell you something.
We're not working our way in.
Jesus Christ did all the work and he finished it at Calvary.
There are some today that this philosophy of you only live once, eat, drink, and be merry, that has crept into the modern day church.
We have this whole idea of you live your best life now.
I would just tell you something right now.
Our best life is not now.
I can live a good life right now, but my best life is yet to come.
And I am not here just to get all that I can and squeeze all the enjoyment out of this life.
I'm going to live for Christ.
But that philosophy has invaded the church.
You can do whatever you want.
You know, God loves you and there's nothing you can do to change that and you can live however you want.
The Bible says that they've turned the grace of God into license for the flesh.
What a disgrace to grace.
What a disgrace to grace.
To take the rich grace of God and turn it into a playground for whatever I want.
And Paul's going to explain all of that in this passage of Scripture.
Let's look at chapter 3 and verse 1.
He says, if he then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above where Christ sits on the right hand of God.
Set your affections on things above, not on things on earth.
For you are dead and your life is hid with Christ and God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye appear with him in glory.
Now what Paul's going to do, he's laid out a foundation for this theological understanding of who Jesus is.
And then he's going to turn around and he's going to say, this Jesus, who was the fullness of God in his body, he was God in the flesh.
And this Jesus, who died on the cross for you, this Jesus...
If he is who he says he is, and he did what he said he did, and he's given himself to you, now you have a new life to live in Christ.
And now we're going to get very practical.
Paul's going to get very practical in chapter 3.
He's going to start talking about how this affects our marriage, how this affects raising our kids, how this affects everything that we do in our day-to-day life.
But he's going to base it all on the premise of this.
Christ is.
Risen from the dead.
Look at verse number 1 again.
Watch this very carefully.
If ye then be risen with Christ.
I want you just to let those words just hang on your heart for just a minute.
If ye then be risen with Christ.
Let me tell you something today, church.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ changed everything.
There is no religion.
There's no cult.
There's no sect.
There's nothing in the world that can make claims...
Like the claims of Jesus Christ that he rose from the dead.
He is risen from the dead.
That changes everything.
Listen, listen.
If Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried and rose again from the dead, that changes everything.
Because now, there's nothing that can be added to that.
Nothing can be put to that.
It has to be accepted as one who victoriously conquered hell, sin, the grave, and death, and now gives us eternal life.
Listen, the resurrection of Christ is a historical fact.
Everything that happened at Christ's crucifixion and death and burial is a historical fact.
I preached a message many years ago on God's funeral arrangements for His Son.
And everything that was laid out in the Old Testament was prophesied about how Jesus would be buried.
And everything that went into the burial of Jesus Christ was intentional and purposeful.
And it was prophesied to be that way, where he would be buried, how he would be buried, and that he would rise again from the dead.
And everything was done.
And the Romans fell right into all of it.
They put the guard outside.
They put the Roman seal on the tomb, which put it into the official Roman record.
That the Jesus of Nazareth was buried in that grave.
It became a matter of a historical fact that Jesus Christ was buried there.
And the fact that they had all the guards outside is all proof that nobody broke in, but Jesus came out.
Nobody went in to get him.
He came out alive.
It's a historical fact.
It's a theological fact.
The Bible, from the beginning of Genesis all the way through, the Bible talks about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Job, which is the oldest book in the Bible, Job says, when I see my Redeemer, when I meet Him face to face, he said, Job said, I know that my Redeemer lives.
Job prophesied, the oldest book in the Bible prophesies of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
But more than a historical fact and more than a theological fact, it is a spiritual fact in your life and my life that Jesus Christ is alive.
You know what turned 11 cowards?
11 cowards who hid and denied Jesus and tried to save their own bacon.
What turned those men into courageous, bold evangelists who went around the world preaching the gospel, willing to suffer, willing to be imprisoned, and willing to die?
You know what changed them?
The resurrection of Jesus Christ.
They had seen Christ living.
And when you see Christ, it'll change everything.
So when Paul's saying here, if ye then be risen with Christ...
Paul is giving us something more than just a fact about Jesus rising from the dead.
Now watch very carefully what he's going to do.
Paul's going to say this.
The Christian life is more than just knowing a fact that Jesus lived, Jesus died, Jesus was buried, Jesus rose again.
The Christian life is more than just the facts of that.
The Christian life is a shared life with Jesus Christ.
If ye then be risen with Christ.
Now if you've been coming to this church for any length of time, you've heard me say this at least once.
You've heard me say this.
There's only one person who's ever lived the Christian life.
And his name is Jesus Christ.
And if I'm going to live the Christian life and you're going to live the Christian life, it's going to require him to live it in us.
Jesus Christ died on the cross giving himself for me, but he rose again to give himself to me so that he could live his life through me.
The Christian life is not me following a set system of rules and regulations in hopes to get to heaven.
The Christian life is an experience where I have met Jesus Christ.
He lives in me.
I have been born again.
A new creation in Jesus Christ.
And now he is living his life in me and through me.
And if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.
Not will be a new creature.
He is a new creature.
If you understand that, say amen.
Okay.
So let me give you three things very quickly that Paul points out in this passage of Scripture that I think will help you if you're going to live this life.
The title of our message this morning is Christ Who Is Our Life.
And if you're going to live this life of Christ, then you need to hear what Paul is going to lay out here.
Number one, Paul's going to point to you the fact of Christ's resurrection.
Look at verse number one.
If ye then be risen with Christ...
Seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affections on things above, not on things of earth.
Watch verse 3.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
And here's what Paul's saying.
Paul's saying this.
You need to know, as a matter of fact, that when Jesus died, you died.
You need to know, as a matter of fact, that when Jesus was buried, you were buried.
And you need to know, as a matter of fact, that when Jesus rose again from the dead, you rose from the dead.
Now, there's a reason for that.
Look back at chapter 2 for just a minute.
And look at verse number 12.
Chapter 2 and verse number 12.
Paul said, we are buried with him in baptism.
Now, he's not talking about water baptism.
There's all kinds of different ways that people baptize.
Some sprinkle.
Some stand you in the water and pour water over your head.
Here in our church, we're a Baptist church.
What does that mean?
We baptize.
We put you down.
And we hold you down until you stop bubbling.
No.
We put you down.
Now, why do we do that?
Now, he's not talking about buried with him in baptism.
He's not talking about water baptism.
Water baptism is only an outward demonstration of what happens spiritually.
This is a physical picture of what took place spiritually.
When we put somebody down in this baptistry, it's a picture of death and burial and a picture of resurrection.
And notice what it says in verse 12.
We are buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God.
Do you see that?
Now watch this carefully.
Listen.
This is an operation of God.
That God, spiritually, when people come to Jesus Christ with repentance and faith, receiving Christ as their Savior, God places them into Christ.
Buries them into Christ.
Into His death, into His burial, and His resurrection.
Now church, listen.
When I start talking about some of this, I see people's eyes kind of glaze over.
Because many Christians believe that Jesus died, but what you don't believe is that you don't believe that it was a fact that you died with Him.
We believe that He was buried.
We don't believe that we were buried.
We believe that He rose again from the dead.
We don't believe that we rose again from the dead.
But Paul, writing in the book of Romans, in Romans chapter 6, said that you need to know that you are dead and buried and risen with Christ.
You need to know it.
Not as a matter of feeling, but as a matter of fact.
You need to know that you're dead.
This was an operation of God.
Last year when we took a group of our church, went over to Israel, I remember standing at Golgotha and looking up at the skull and looking at the place where Jesus died.
And it looked totally different than the flannel graphs did when I was a kid.
This old hill.
And I remember standing there, and it was my first time ever to be in Israel.
But I remember standing there thinking, this is not my first time to Golgotha.
I was here 2,000 years ago.
You say, what do you mean?
I was there when Christ died, I died.
When he was buried, I was buried.
When he rose, I rose.
This is an operation of God.
This is something called the identification.
There's no way that God can be holy and righteous and just and just give ungodly people a pass.
God didn't just give me a pass on my sin.
My sin had to be paid for.
So where was my sin paid for?
It was paid for at Calvary.
God made Christ to become sin for us.
He put me into Christ.
So that when Jesus was on that cross, God was treating him like he was treating me.
God poured out all of his wrath on my sin.
God poured out all of his judgment on my sin.
God treated him like he was treating me.
So that when Jesus rose again from the dead, he can now treat me like he treats him.
This is the beauty of salvation, church.
This is the depth of salvation on what God did.
Now, I don't do anything to earn that.
I received that by grace.
Without works, it was done by the finished work of Christ.
Now, some of you are saying, wait a minute.
You're saying that I'm dead, but I don't feel dead.
My old nature feels pretty alive.
How many of you have had to wrestle with your old nature with lust and temptations and all that?
Am I the only one raising my hand this morning?
Some of you, you get your little halos on.
But your horns are holding it up.
How many of you know what I'm talking about?
Okay, good.
Yeah, Ben, raise both hands.
I know that.
Now listen, we don't feel dead.
But he didn't say that we know this is a matter of feeling.
He said we know this is a matter of fact.
Many years ago when I lived in Mississippi, I'm a Colorado boy, born and raised.
But I moved to Mississippi and I was pastoring down there.
And some old Mississippi rednecks took their pastor out to set trot lines.
Anybody in here ever set trot lines?
You go out on the river and you set these lines out, put these hooks, put chicken livers or whatever on them, and you're going to catch catfish.
And you're going to go back at night and check them.
So we put all those up during the day.
Then we went to the camp, and man, we ate a good meal.
And then that night, we got up in the middle of the night, we put headlamps on, and we started wading up the river.
Alright, we're coming right back.
Stay tuned.

Welcome back to Just Formed Talk Radio.
I'm Craig James and we're going back to Pastor Dean Miller and his sermon called Christ Who Is Our Life from Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
All are welcome.
Services on Sundays at 9, 30 and 11.
Let's tune back in.
And I want to tell you something.
This means nothing to people who know the beautiful rivers of Colorado.
You see the Cachalapudre River coming down clear and clean and pristine.
The big Thompson River, clear, clean.
And there's nothing in there that can eat you.
Well, Mississippi, by the time our rivers get down there, it is as muddy and murky and everything in that river kills you.
And I remember I was walking with these guys, and I had these big rednecks, and they were all carrying rifles, and I had this headlamp, and I didn't understand why they were carrying rifles.
We were fishing.
And we're walking up this river, and I didn't know that cottonmouths, our water moccasins, are attracted to the light.
And these cottonmouths would drop off the trees, and they would swim at us.
And I remember this one was coming at me and these old Mississippi boys were like, hold it, hold it, hold it, take him!
And they're shooting like this snake.
And I remember one was coming right at me and they were holding and holding and holding.
And somebody in that river was screaming like a little girl.
I didn't know who it was, but boy, my throat was hoarse the next day.
But somebody was screaming like a little girl.
And I heard this shot, and I see this water moccasin, and that thing is flashing around, it's wrapping around me, and I'm screaming, it's still alive!
It's still alive!
And one of the little rednecks said, he said, preacher, that thing's dead, he just don't know it yet.
And I think this is the problem of many believers.
You're dead.
You just don't know it yet.
Your old man still feels very much alive.
But you, as a matter of fact, are dead in Christ.
Number two, he said, I want you to see this as a fact.
Number two, he said, I want you now to see this as a matter of faith.
Faith is believing and then acting upon your belief.
Watch this matter of faith.
Watch this.
Look at verse number three.
For ye are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ who is our life.
Now remember, your life is dead.
Your life is hid with Christ.
But now Christ is your life.
When he shall appear, then ye shall also appear with him in glory.
Now what's Paul saying here?
Paul said it's a matter of fact that when Jesus died, you died.
When he was buried, you were buried.
When he rose, you rose.
But watch this.
He said now it's a matter of faith.
That every day now you let Christ live that life in you.
You're no longer living your life.
You've established the fact that I'm dead.
Now I'm living by faith in Christ.
This is what Paul said in Galatians 2.20 when Paul said this.
Paul said, I... Somebody asked Paul, Paul, how do you do all that you do for Christ?
Paul said, I don't.
Oh, Paul, listen, you've sailed all around the world.
You've built all kinds of churches.
You've preached to kings and you've preached in Colosseums.
How do you do all of it?
Paul said, I don't do any of it.
Well, Paul, certainly you do.
You're I've seen you do it.
No, Paul said, I can't.
I'm crucified.
Well, Paul, you're not really crucified.
You're standing right here.
Paul said, nevertheless, I live.
Yet not I. But Christ liveth in me.
And the life that I now live in this flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
When we get saved as a believer, when we come to Jesus Christ in repentance and faith and we receive him He takes our old life and we're crucified.
That old life is now dead and buried.
But we were risen with him now to walk in a newness of life.
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.
Now listen to me church.
We don't do anything to earn that.
We have to live that because we've been given it.
Now we live it by faith.
Paul said, I live by the faith of the Son of God.
Paul used an old southern word in Romans chapter 6 to explain this.
He used the word reckon.
Know that you're dead, but reckon yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto Christ.
To reckon it.
Now, it's an old southern word.
In the south, if you say the word reckon to somebody, you say, well, is it going to rain Saturday?
Well, I reckon.
What are we going to have for breakfast tomorrow?
Well, I reckon we're going to have biscuits and gravy.
What are we going to have for lunch?
Well, I reckon we're going to have fried chicken and gravy.
What are we going to have for supper?
Well, I reckon we're going to have chicken fried steak and gravy.
What are we going to do after that?
Well, I reckon we're going to sit on the front porch and talk about how the South is going to rise again.
I'm thinking, South ain't getting off the porch.
That's what I'm thinking.
Yeah, if you had all that fried stuff and gravy and drink it all down with some sweet tea, even the mosquitoes down South had diabetes.
I saw a mosquito bite me one time.
It flew away giving itself an insulin shot as it flew away.
They're not rising again.
Now they always say, I reckon, I reckon, I reckon.
Now they mean I suppose, but that's not what reckon means.
Reckon means to reconcile or to put to the account.
Paul said, now listen, by faith, by faith...
There's a fact that you were dead in Christ, buried in Christ, and risen in Christ, but now you need to, by faith, reconcile that and put it in your account.
Now this is where I'm going to lose all you young people.
There used to be a thing back in our day called a checkbook.
My wife and I went on a couple of days of R&R, and we had to call Juliana, our youngest daughter, and we had to pay a bill.
And we didn't have any way to pay that where we were.
We had to send a check.
And so we had to call Juliana and say, Hey, can you go to our drawer and get the checkbook?
She said, One, what is a checkbook?
And then we had to show her how to fill out a check.
She's like, Why do I have to spell it out?
Like, we don't know, Julianna.
You just have to do that.
How many of you remember doing that, right?
You fill out the check.
Now, in the back of that checkbook, there was a little register back there.
And when you got paid, you put the date, and you put deposit.
You put $1,000 in.
You put $1,000 there.
And then you get your tax bill.
And you've got to write taxes.
And then you pay that.
And then that basically takes everything.
And then we have to go steal.
No, no.
So you fill out and you say, okay, I paid my Walmart $35 and you deduct that from your thousand.
Some of you are learning a budget right now.
This is how you budget.
And so you had to keep track of that.
Well, when Michelle and I were first married, I was a youth pastor.
And youth pastors, amen, Pastor Matt, don't make very much money.
And so we had nothing.
And we had had a big day coming up at the church.
And I'd been out visiting and knocking on doors.
And several men in the church had met me at different times during the day.
And we'd knocked on doors and invited people to come to a certain special event at our church.
And, man, I was tired.
I'd been out all day.
I was hungry.
And I was driving home.
It was late in the day.
And I'm driving home.
And I'm starving.
And I have no money.
I mean, I'm broke, broke.
Well, in Colorado Springs back in those days, there was a place called the Hamburger Stand.
And they sold 29-cent hamburgers.
39-cent cheeseburgers.
How many of you remember that place, man?
What a blessing!
So I thought, man, I'm going to get a hamburger.
So I'm looking around.
I knew I could find at least a quarter and a nickel in my car and I could get a burger.
So I'm looking.
I pulled over.
I got out.
I'm looking under the seats.
I'm looking everywhere for any kind of change.
And I have nothing.
I get back in the car and I'm driving home and I'm kind of fussing at God.
God, I'm out here serving you.
I've been living all day for you, inviting people to church.
And I don't even have a quarter to buy a hamburger.
You promised you were going to supply all my needs, and you said you were going to give me the, and man, I don't even have any money.
I was just kind of fussing at the Lord.
And the sun was getting low in the day, and there was some dirt on my windshield, and the glare was really heavy, and so I went to hit my windshield wipers, and it just went, and there was no fluid in there.
I had no fluid.
I thought, now I'm going to have to get out and spit on my windshield and clean the windshield.
I got nothing.
And I'm driving, and I pulled the little visor down, and this little piece of paper fluttered down, landed on my lap.
I picked it up, put it on the seat, and I'm driving, just kind of fussing at God.
Then I realized...
Wait, what was that paper?
So I pulled the paper out and I'm looking at it.
And I pulled over to the side of the road and I'm looking at that paper.
And I grabbed my checkbook.
And this is Saturday.
Last Sunday at church, one of our families who had teens in our youth group, the mom and dad came up to us and said, Dean and Michelle, we're so thankful for all that you do for our kids.
You've been great influences in their life.
We just want to give you a blessing.
And they gave us a card.

Welcome back to Just a Forum Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
We're going back to Pastor Dean Miller's Sermon, Christ, Who is Our Life.
This is from Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
And services are Sundays at 9.30 a.m.
and 11.
And all are welcome.
Listen to this.
And we opened it up, and we just kind of skimmed through all the little sentimental stuff, and we're looking for the money.
And...
That's what you're supposed to do when you get a card, you know, all that other stuff.
And we just got the money and they gave us a check for 25 bucks.
Monday morning, I had gotten up on my way to work, went to the bank and I deposited that.
I grabbed my checkbook and I'm flipping back through and I, listen, I have the receipt, but I never put it in the checkbook.
And I'm making sure and I look and I had never put it in that I had it.
Listen, I was in the money.
I had 25 bucks!
I went into the 7-Eleven and I said, sir, can I borrow your phone?
He said, there's a pay phone outside.
I said, I don't have a quarter.
He said, man, you're broke.
I said, no, I've got a ton of money, but I need to borrow your phone.
So I called my wife and I said, what are you doing?
She said, I don't know.
I'm just thinking about what we're going to have for supper.
I said, forget it.
I said, we got nothing at home.
I know we have nothing at home.
I'm not eating another can of tomato soup.
I said, sweetheart, get dressed.
She said, where are we going?
I said, I'm taking you out.
She said, we don't have any money.
I said, oh, we in the money.
She said, where are we going to go?
McDonald's?
I said, no.
We're going to Wendy's.
And we're getting Frosties.
We're both getting a Dave single with everything on it.
We're getting the biggie fries.
We're dipping the fries in the frosty.
We are living high on the hog tonight.
We're going with all the rich people to Wendy's.
Now let me tell you what happened.
I had money, but I had never put it into my account.
I had it, but I'd never reckoned it.
I'd never put it there.
To spend it.
Listen to me.
When Jesus died, you died with him.
And when he rose, you rose with him.
And you have all the riches of God in your life.
And now by faith, every day you get up and you say, God put all of this.
All of Christ's life is in me.
And now by faith, I'm going to live it today.
Nevertheless, I live, yet not I. But Christ lived in me.
And the life that I now live in this flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God.
I'm going to get up every day and live in faith.
And then the last thing here is I want you to see not only the fact and not only the faith, but I want you to see the function.
And we'll close.
Look at verse number five.
He says, Mortify therefore your members which are upon earth.
Concupiscence is an old English word that just simply means all kinds of lustful desires.
And covetousness, which is idolatry.
For which things sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience, in the which ye also walk sometime.
You used to walk this way when you lived in them.
But remember, you're dead now.
Verse number 8.
But now ye also put off all of these.
Anger and wrath and malice and blasphemy and filthy communication out of your mouth.
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.
Why?
He's dead.
Verse 10.
And you have put on the new man.
Which was renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him.
Watch this.
Paul said, when you understand the fact that when Jesus died, you died, and when He rose, you rose, and now you reconcile that by faith into your life, you now function in that life.
I'm not living the old Dean Miller life.
I'm not letting Christ live His life in me.
These are no longer my hands.
These are His hands.
These are no longer His eyes.
These are my eyes.
They're His eyes.
And now I'm putting off.
I love the term there because it actually has the idea of putting off, like taking off this jacket.
I'm putting off the old man every day.
The old Dean Miller I'm putting off.
And I put on the new man every day.
I put on Christ every day.
I'm putting Christ on today.
And now Christ, you're going to live in me.
And you're going to live through me.
I wish I could say I do this every day.
I don't do it every day.
I try to do it most days.
But every day, I get up in the morning, I have my time with the Lord.
I spend time reading His Word and spend time praying.
And then I get on my knees and I say to the Lord, now Lord, in the Old Testament, you required sacrifices.
But Lord, in the New Testament, you want a living sacrifice.
So I'm presenting me to you today as a living sacrifice.
And Lord, those old sacrifices, they did in pieces.
They cut them in pieces.
And I'm going to present this sacrifice in pieces today.
So Lord, my mind today, I give it to you.
Lord, I don't want to think my thoughts today.
I want to think the thoughts of Christ.
I want this mind to be in me which is also in Christ Jesus.
Let me think the way you think.
Let me think in your wisdom and think in your word and think in your righteousness.
I want to think your way today.
Lord, these eyes.
I don't want to see with my eyes of lust and my eyes of covetousness.
Lord, I want to see with your eyes of love.
I want to see people as you see people.
Lord, these ears.
I don't want to hear gossip and all the things that are corrupt in this world.
I don't want to hear today in my ears.
I want to hear with your ears.
Lord, these hands.
I want to do the works that you want me to do.
I want these hands to be your hands.
I want to help and build and encourage and lift up.
Lord, my heart.
I don't want to love the things that I love.
I want to love what you love.
I want to love how you love.
God, I give you my heart today.
I want to love the things that you love.
I want to love people the way you love people.
Lord, my feet today.
I don't want to walk my way today.
I want to walk your way today.
Lord, let my feet go to someone in need today.
Let my feet carry me to somebody who needs to meet you today.
And I pray, Lord, that in my body, Christ would be glorified.
I want you to live in me today.
Now listen to me.
That's a life of mortifying our members.
And letting Christ live in us every day.
How would your life change if tomorrow morning Jesus lived your life?
How would your marriage change if Jesus was in your marriage?
How would we change toward our neighbor and towards those that we work with?
If we could see them as Jesus sees and hear as Jesus hears and love as Jesus loves and live as Jesus lives.
Listen to me.
This is the life that God gave us.
It's a fact that we have it.
By faith, it's in our account now.
We're going to live it.
We yield ourselves.
Now, in the Old Testament, when they had those old sacrifices, they had these things called flesh hooks.
I remember reading in your Bible, you read how the altar had horns on the altar.
Anybody remember reading that?
If you've ever skinned a deer or you've ever been a part of processing an animal, I'll tell you, it gets slippery.
And I'll tell you something about my old nature.
My old nature is pretty slippery.
And when that sacrifice was offered and put on that altar, it had to be offered to God clean.
And they didn't want it falling off the altar.
So they would bind that sacrifice to the altar and they would put flesh hooks in it and then bind those things to the altar.
And I usually end my prayer by saying, okay now Lord, my old flesh is dead but he doesn't know it yet.
So bind me to the altar.
Put those hooks into my flesh.
Lord, I don't want my flesh to have its way in my life today.

was until I stumbled and made my mistakes.
Then I could know in my soul how amazing was grace.
Welcome back to Just Informed Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James, and that was an amazing sermon we just heard from Pastor Dean Miller of Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
I want to make sure you all know that you're more than welcome, all are welcome, to join Sundays at 9.30 a.m.
and 11 a.m.
are the services.
And thank you again to everybody who's listened to his sermons here on the radio and then come and joined us at church on Sunday.
I'm so glad I've met a lot of you, but I've heard even more than the ones I've met have been showing up.
And I just want to keep encouraging you guys to come down and, you know, join a church that's going to keep you centered in scripture and going toward Christ.
And that's why I chose to be a part of that church.
And I hope to see you all down there.
And I'm thankful to Pastor Miller and his sermons and to the whole church as a family and to, again, all of you guys who've already come down.
And if you're waiting for that invitation, here it is.
Come on down Sundays.
930 and 11 are the services in the morning.
All right.
So, you know, we just had a whole sermon.
So our God's Grace is Greater segment is going to be fairly short.
I'm going to finish with just this one verse that I think speaks to what we just spoke on, and that is here in Galatians 2, verse 19-19.
It says, For through the law I have died to the law, so that I might live for God.
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
I want to encourage you all to live that way if you haven't already.
If you're a Christian, like Pastor Miller was saying, who has accepted Christ, but you haven't realized the power and the riches that you possess, I want you to realize it today.
Call on His name.
When we struggle, when we have success, when we have everything in between, Christ is with us.
There is no answer that's going to make sense for every one of us.
Each one is individual.
Our relationship with God is going to be individual and unique.
But I can tell you this.
When Christ came into my life, it wasn't like I stopped struggling.
It's not like I stopped having problems.
It's not like everything got better instantly and I never had a problem ever again.
But what happened was I had hope that in that moment of struggle, in that moment of affliction, in that moment of crisis, God was there.
He saw me.
He heard me.
He wasn't going to let me down.
I've had to trust Him through those times of struggle to know that Whatever His will, it will be done and I will submit to it.
But I do also trust that His plans are for our betterment, for a future and a hope.
So if you haven't accepted Christ yet, you don't know what that feels like, now's your opportunity.
I encourage you to open your heart, say a prayer, repent of your sin, and call on the name of the Lord.
Allow Him to speak directly to your heart.
Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
I can tell you this.
Once you do that, you'll be filled with a hope that's everlasting.
So that's where I'm going to leave it.
Thanks for listening.
I hope you guys enjoyed our rundown of all the amendments and propositions.
We may review that one more time before we get to the voting booth, but we're going to also have a lot of cool stuff coming up this week, so you're going to want to tune back in.
