Welcome to another Just Informed Talk Radio Show on I'm your host, Craig James.
Hope you guys are having a wonderful day.
Good morning to all.
We have a lot to cover.
We're going to kind of recap some of the events of the weekend.
You know, this weekend, I guess the top story for me, looking around, is the rally that took place in Butler, Pennsylvania.
This was Trump making his return to Butler after the last time he was there, where a deranged gunman tried to murder him.
Yes, he went back to Butler, and boy was it something.
It was a sight to be seen.
And, you know, Trump gave a great speech.
They honored the life of the individual who was murdered there.
You guys all probably know about that, but they...
Did a lot, right?
Cory Comparator had his life honored and remembered.
And we also heard a great speech from Trump.
Elon Musk was there.
He went on stage and spoke.
And one of the things that stood out to me, though, looking at this speech or this rally, was not necessarily the words that were spoken, but the songs that were chosen to be sung at the end.
Um, he had an opera singer who went up there on stage and boy, did he have a great voice and he sang some great songs.
Um, the songs that he did in fact sing were how great thou art the greatest, one of the greatest, uh, him songs, uh, gospel songs that, um, One of my favorites, I should say.
And he sang Nessim Dorma, which is an opera song that was famously played at the end scene of the movie The Sum of All Fears, where essentially all of the bad guys get killed at the end.
Spoiler alert, by the way.
But if you haven't seen that movie by now...
I mean, it's probably like 20 years old.
But these two songs being played, as well as obviously America the Beautiful, these were really telling.
And I'll play a couple of them because it was really that good.
An indication, I think, of where this country is heading, and it's a good sign.
Look, a lot of people want to criticize Trump because of his positions on certain things, and I'm right there with you.
I don't like the abortion stuff.
I think it's wrong and evil, and I think Trump, ideally, when he gets in, can be persuaded to be more tough on it, although I do agree that it should be A state issue, because anything to take power away from the federal government, I'm all for. So that, for me, is like, okay, well, let's kick it down the states.
So Roe v. Wade getting overturned, these are all good things.
And they've led to great things.
I mean, Roe v. Wade, before it was overturned, allowed for mass genocide in every state in this country.
And now several states have made laws and pushed back against it.
But Say what you will about him, but the fact that he's playing these songs at his rallies, I think it was him trying to point back to God, trying to point back to Jesus saying, look, I know how lucky I am.
Thank you, God. And that is a great thing.
And here's one example of how great thou art.
This was sung at the Trump rally.
Oh Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, Consider all the worlds thy hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee.
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God to thee.
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!
Wow.
And the visual is even more impressive, to be quite honest.
You know, watching that in a rally, a political rally, to see Big Banner right behind Trump, somebody holding up in the crowd that just says, Jesus on it?
I'm in, okay?
And... You know, God has a way of working on people's hearts.
And I know the whole news over the weekend, everybody said, well, you know, Melania's come out and said that she's kind of like pro-abortion, I guess, or something like that, at least for the first six weeks or whatever they always say.
And I think God will work on their heart.
I pray God works on their heart.
But you've got to remember here, in politics, unfortunately, we have two choices, and the other side is literally the embodiment of a demonic force, right?
And I'm not trying to be dehumanizing, but that's what they represent in a lot of ways.
So, I was very impressed with that.
I'm very thankful for that.
And I think Trump's thankful that he's alive.
And I know in all these interviews I've seen that he's been giving lately, he keeps talking about God more and more because I think it's dawning on him.
Not only is he older and he's getting to that age, but he understands that there are forces out there that want to destroy him.
And that there is a divine protection that is upon him, it seems.
And God's going to use imperfect people, folks.
You know, everybody has this idea that there's going to be...
The only leader who's going to come back and be perfect is Jesus.
Until then, we're just going to have a bunch of fallen people who have flaws, who make mistakes.
And for me, I know that we can push Trump in the right direction.
But it's not just us, it's going to be God.
Like he's already done, it looks like.
And I'm thankful for that.
So I get up and come to you this morning with hope, right?
A lot of times on this show we can get all doom and gloom, which is, there's a lot of it.
There's more than enough doom and gloom to go around.
But I'm hopeful.
I'm very hopeful, as a matter of fact.
And I'll tell you why.
Because I see God at work.
Not just on Trump, but on this nation.
And as bad as it looks, I see a new day coming.
I see a great revival.
And I hope you do too.
Alright, we're coming right back with more.

Now that we know that it's true.
Don't you know the kind of man I am?
I'm your host, Craig Jameson.
Look, speaking of the music at Trump's rally that was this weekend in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he returned to the place where he was shot after a failed attempted assassination.
Excuse me. There was another song played that night that was interesting.
So, for those of you who don't know, There's a movie called The Sum of Fears.
Sum of all fears. It's a good watch if you really want to look at a good movie.
It's based off of, I believe, a Tom Clancy novel.
And essentially, the story is that there are people who get a nuclear bomb who...
Blow it up in the United States and then try to frame Russia for it and then try to start a global nuclear war, essentially.
Again, between America and Russia.
And there's a lot in between all that.
But there's this famous scene from that movie where...
They blow up the bomb and they try to get the US and Russia to go to war.
Spoiler alert, by the way, in case you haven't seen it.
Although it is like 20 years old.
There's this famous scene where, you know, they blow up the nuclear bomb, they try to get Russia to believe it was, or the US to believe it was Russia, even though Russia had nothing to do with it.
And they try to, they do a bunch of other stuff to try to get the Russians and the Americans to fight each other, right?
And through some, like, back channels and through a guy, I believe it, isn't it the characters, the Jack Ryan guy?
I don't know. It's through an individual.
I think it's played by Ben Affleck.
You know, he works these back channels on behalf of, I believe, the Secretary of State, Morgan Freeman.
Or was he the president? Oh, he's the president.
I forget. It's been a while.
I haven't seen it in a while. But essentially, that doesn't matter.
They work through back channels to keep it from escalating, and they kind of de-escalate it.
But then in the end, there's this scene, and there's this opera song called Nessun Dorma playing, and...
In this scene, all the traitors are essentially executed.
Everybody who planned this highly orchestrated nuclear attack to provoke a global war between Russia and America, they all end up being found wherever they are.
Some are in South America, some are in Germany, some are in other places, and they all get found and essentially killed.
And so that song is directly associated with, I believe, in this particular case, the scene where all the traitors are executed.
And this is the song that was played at the Trump rally this weekend.
Listen to this. Ladies and gentlemen, of the next president of the United States,
Peter!
So that song, like think of the songs, I mean, I'm getting chills just thinking about this
because you have to remember, These songs are selected specifically for a reason.
They're not just randomly pulled out of a hat.
Trump is sending a message, a very clear message, to those that would try to do this.
Think about what the suggestion is, though, right?
I mean, look at where we are at today.
Look at what happened. Why would they want to get rid of Trump?
Well, I mean, let me count the ways, right?
The reasons. But one of the main reasons is they are trying to start a nuclear war with Russia.
And look at what's happening in Ukraine.
We're literally fighting a proxy war against Russia right now as we speak.
Trump's the only president that hasn't started any new wars and, by the way, he's the one who's promised to de-escalate and take us away from nuclear war, away from World War III. Whereas the other side just keeps saying, oh, trust us, it's all fine, nothing's happening, right?
And what do they want to do?
They wanted to remove Trump back in July 13th.
That was their game plan.
They were going to kill him and then put in skull and bone member A or B to replace him.
You pick the establishment neocon rhino.
And then it wouldn't matter who you voted for, just like every other election up till now.
It wouldn't matter if you voted Republican or Democrat.
They wouldn't care anymore. Just like it didn't matter in the...
Excuse me.
Voices coming in and out today.
Just like it didn't matter in the election between Kerry and Bush...
Just like it didn't matter in the election between Gore and Bush.
Just like it didn't matter in every election before that.
Didn't matter when it was Obama and McCain.
Didn't matter when it was Obama and Romney.
It really didn't. Absolutely would not make any difference to this deep state bureaucracy, right?
These unelected bureaucrats who run our government, who aren't elected, who are beholden to basically every institution except the American people.
They're beholden to the intelligence agencies, they're beholden to the defense contractors, they're beholden to the megacorporations, the K-Suite lobbyists who represent all those entities.
But the one thing we know they aren't, and that is beholden to the American people, okay?
So Trump comes along, 2016, what does he do?
Well, we all saw it.
Throws off the establishment, says, I don't need your money, I'm not going to be bought by your lobbyists, I'm going to do what's right for the American people.
Pretty much succeeds until in 2020, whether it was China or it was our own government, Or a combination, most likely, of the two.
Of course, you have the pandemic, which, I mean, blindsides everyone.
Then they steal the election, install their puppet regime, spend the last four years starting wars across the world, showing weakness to our enemies.
And the sad thing is...
I mean, these people have all sold out to our foreign adversaries.
I mean, putting Biden in there after what we found on his son's laptop is crazy.
And yeah, okay, we all know it, right?
So we know Hunter Biden was working for the CIA to help ensure that The U.S. is in control of energy in Europe.
We know. We're trying to block Russia, keep them out.
Right? That's the whole game plan.
But in doing so, we've put Russia and China closer together.
We've created a less safe world.
And things are really going...
Bad would be an understatement.
Right? So now Trump's coming back.
Trying to fix this mess that they've created.
And they try to murder him.
Because again, it's not about...
It's just about getting rid of Trump so they can put in the guy who...
Any other politician, because every other politician needs those interests.
And if they don't have them, then that's when things go bad for them.
So, I thought that was interesting.
I thought that was an interesting playlist, let's just say, that Trump chose for his...
Rally. Alright, but in other news, right?
Here's an interesting story that just came in from the Wall Street Journal.
U.S. wiretap systems hacked in China-linked cyberattack, which has created a significant national security threat.
So apparently a cyberattack linked to the Chinese government infiltrated the networks of several U.S. broadband providers, which potentially gives them access to systems used by federal government for court-approved network wiretapping requests.
Oh, perfect. According to sources familiar with the situation, the hackers may have maintained access to network infrastructure involved in complying with lawful U.S. requests for communications data for months, if not longer, posing a significant national security threat.
The attackers also had access to other types of more general Internet traffic as well.
Now, what would China be doing in there?
Well, I mean, I could guess a few things.
Obviously, if China's using that, they can use it to spy on us.
They can go do the corporate espionage route, political sabotage and blackmail.
Think of who has been raided by the FBI lately.
And imagine who's being wiretapped in relation to those said raids right now.
Hmm. Interesting.
The party that's not bought and paid for by China, right?
The party that's not beholden to Xi Jinping, as opposed to the American people.
They're the ones who have been attacked by our government, the law enforcement entities and the DOJ. And now, China's wiretapping or spying on the government's wiretapping.
So now the question is, were they given access?
Were they allowed to have this access?
Because it would seem that our government is run by people who have been, in some cases, compromised by our enemies, including China.
I mean, not too long ago, we had a House member sitting on the National Security Committee who had slept with a Chinese spy, but no big deal.
And you know, of course, a lot of this we know is sort of, it's all theater, right?
The public is allowed only to see a small part of what the truth is in anything that our government is doing.
So who knows?
Maybe this is like some 5D chess stuff here where we have secret governments and continuity of government and it's all an elaborate way of fooling our enemies into thinking one thing's happening when another thing's actually happening.
But I mean, from the outside looking in, it looks like a complete disaster.
And China, you know, hacking into our broadband providers and gaining access to systems used by our government to wiretap people doesn't seem very good.
I mean, I'm no expert, right?
But... That doesn't sound like a good thing.
However, that's where we are, unfortunately.
We'll see where that story goes, but if it's like anything else, it'll just go nowhere.
I mean, remember, we had the whole CONAC, Inc.
story. The firm that was helping to offshore, it seemed, data from our 2020 election on servers in China.
But hey, remember, it's not a big deal, okay?
Just because China is storing our election data in servers in their mainland, that seems totally normal.
It's not like China's got a preferred political agenda that they would seek to enact here.
So, yeah. Anyway, we're going to get into that and much more.

I'm your host, Craig James.
Now, another story I want to talk about here today briefly.
I want to play a little bit of this report from Catherine Herridge.
Now, this is a report that came out talking about how there's leaked military memos that are indicating U.S. soldiers were exposed to potentially toxic agents, including radioactive materials, after Iran's January of 2020 ballistic missile attack on their base.
It looks as though the Biden-Harris DOJ are now siding with Iran in this issue against our own military and they're calling this the next Agent Orange.
So I want to play some of this report because it is really good and I think we all should listen.
Let's take a listen to this.
That was the largest ballistic missile attack on U.S. forces in the history of war.
None of us really should have survived.
What makes that missile stand out?
The heat signature is much different than the rest of them.
Are these military records an acknowledgement that Iran's ballistic missile attack exposed U.S. service members to toxic agents?
100%. And it describes radiation, heavy metals, They absolutely are directly related to those ballistic missiles.
Is there new evidence service members are getting sick?
Yes. You're monitoring what may be thyroid cancer yourself?
Correct. We're going to have another Agent Orange situation.
Ten years down the road, these service members are going to be out and they're going to be dying.
And the court dismissed the case.
They said a death had to occur.
Just to be clear, up until this administration, an attempted killing still opened the courthouse doors.
Correct. So this is a change under the Biden-Harris administration.
It is a change that happened in the past two years.
Congress has got to step in and act.
Both the courts and the executive branch have sided with Iran.
♪♪ Whoo!
-♪♪ Exclusive videos shared with our investigative team
show American service members sheltering in bunkers, recording Iran's attack on the Al-Assad air base in Iraq
Rock, January 8th, 2020.
None of us really should have survived, and we weren't expected to survive.
Retired Army Flight Surgeon Alan Johnson witnessed the largest ballistic missile strike against American forces in U.S. history.
Eleven warheads, each weighing about 1,600 pounds.
This s*** is ripped up.
Service members surveyed the damage, Iran's retaliation, for the U.S. strike that killed its top general, Qasem Soleimani, days earlier.
The closest one to me was about 60 feet away.
The amount of percussive force that travels through your body, you can't really put words to the end.
I was knocked unconscious twice from two different impacts.
How much notice did you have the missiles were coming in?
A minute. And a half, two minutes.
Johnson walked us through drone video of Iran's attack on their base.
Is that the first missile? One and two.
One and two. There's number five.
Five. And then number six right behind it.
And where did they take the soil sample?
From number six. Right, from this one, from number six.
What makes that missile stand out?
The heat signature is much different than the rest of them.
More massive? Correct. Government documents reviewed by our investigative team confirm potentially hazardous and toxic materials were identified from soil samples taken at the impact site on January 15, 2020, seven days after the missile strike.
Are these military records an acknowledgement that Iran's ballistic missile attack exposed U.S. service members to toxic agents?
One hundred percent. No hesitation?
No hesitation. It describes radiation, heavy metals, and then also dangerous particles in the air?
Correct. What explains these elevated readings?
Those tests were conducted after the attack.
In my opinion, they absolutely are directly related to those ballistic missiles.
Lawyer Robert Broadbent, a retired lieutenant colonel with 23 years of service, filed suit against Iran on behalf of those injured in the attack.
65 service members and two contractors suffer from traumatic brain injury.
Iran's never going to pay. And all of these plaintiffs know that.
Because it's not about getting Iran to pay.
It's about holding Iran accountable.
Initially, all of them were reluctant to sue Iran.
They were scared. Are these service members at higher risk for cancer?
Yes. Are they looking at larger medical bills over their lifetime?
Yes. Are they looking at potentially shorter life expectancies?
Yes. People have focused on the attack itself, but they have not focused on the ripple effect.
Correct. These service members were essentially forgotten immediately following the attack.
As part of the lawsuit, drone operator Patrick Benn told the court, I wore the same chemical-filled uniform for about a week as we cleaned the toxic waste with no proper protection gear.
I could smell the sulfur and chemicals on my skin and clothing.
After episodes of paralysis, Benn was diagnosed with thyroid disease.
Is there new evidence service members are getting sick?
Yes. How strong is that evidence?
Very strong.
And we're talking about soldiers who are, what, in their 20s?
20s, early 30s, otherwise healthy.
And they believe that it's linked to the fallout from Iran's ballistic missile attack.
Correct. Three independent environmental specialists reviewed the records and concluded the toxic agents were likely the result of missile impacts.
Two specialists raised concerns about these radioactive elements found at the site, saying they seem out of place with a conventional explosion.
A third expert disagreed with the assessment and the exposure risks.
When you saw these testing results for the first time, you thought what?
It caught me by surprise, that's for sure.
And really I didn't know what to think until I started researching that there were some potentially profoundly dangerous isotopes that we were dealing with.
I do have some concerns for thyroid cancer myself.
To be clear, you're monitoring what may be thyroid cancer yourself.
Correct. We're going to have another Agent Orange situation where 10 years down the road these service members are going to be out and they're going to be dying.
And they're not going to be cared for.
A federal law called the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act blocks citizens from suing nation states.
But there are exceptions, including terrorism.
The terrorism exception allows that door to the courthouse to be unlocked and for people who are injured or killed in attacks to go to court and sue that nation state.
What did the federal court say?
So we have 183 total plaintiffs that are part of this case, and the court dismissed the case.
They said a death had to occur for the exception to apply.
You know, Congress created that exception decades ago to open the door to prosecute Iran.
Attempts were included in the interpretation by the courts for 30 years.
Just to be clear, up until this administration, An attempted killing still opened the courthouse doors?
Correct. So this is a change under the Biden-Harris administration?
It is a change that happened in the past two years.
Broadbent's legal team told the court there was a death.
Sergeant Jason Quidiquat was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and struggled to get help.
The 22-year-old took his own life 21 months after Iran's historic attack.
We had one of the preeminent traumatic brain injury experts in the nation look at his case, and his medical opinion was that Jason's death was directly related to the traumatic brain injury that he received in the attack.
And the court said, you know what?
That death doesn't count.
When the court says, No one died.
Does it minimize the severity of the attack?
Yes. Does it minimize their service?
Yes. When the court says no one died, does it minimize the life of Jason Quiddiqua?
Absolutely. Is it a fair assessment that U.S. service members are taking a backseat to Iran in political interests?
The recent decision and the Position taken by the Department of Justice subordinated the interests of U.S. service members to Iran.
Wow. Just a disturbing, devastating report there.
Yeah, we'll talk a little bit in other stories when we come back.

Of course, you know, we had a lot to kind of cover in all of this.
The Iran story, though, is quite disturbing.
I want to finish that report here real quick because...
I do think it is very much worth listening to the entire thing.
There's only a couple more minutes left, so let's finish up this report.
Court says no one died.
Does it minimize the life of Jason Quiddiqua?
Absolutely. Is it a fair assessment that U.S. service members are taking a backseat to Iran and political interests?
The recent decision and the position taken by the Department of Justice subordinated the interests of U.S. service members to Iran.
A lot of people will be confused by this.
The courts in the executive branch, they believe, should have the backs of service members.
Do they have the backs of service members in this case?
No. Congress has got to step in and act.
And add one word to the act.
Attempts. That's all it would take.
That's all it takes.
Attempted killings get you back into the courthouse, allows you to hold Iran accountable, allows you to deter future attacks.
Would a change in administration make a difference?
It could. If the administration wants to take a different tact with Iran, it absolutely could.
At the al-Assad airbase, is there an ongoing risk to service members?
The Department of Defense has issued or is issuing service members deployed to Al-Assad dosimeters, which is like a watch that measures radiation exposure.
Is the Defense Department being fully transparent with service members about the current risk?
I don't know what the Defense Department is.
What I can tell you is that soldiers don't understand the risks that they're exposed to.
What would it mean to finally walk into a U.S. court and hold Iran accountable?
It means that Iran doesn't get a pass.
It means that these service members are taken care of.
It means that the administration and that the judicial branch and that Congress cares about our service members and is fulfilling their obligation to their service.
Wow. So it goes on and says, in response to nearly a dozen questions about the al-Assad toxic exposure memos, an Army spokesperson stated, no hazards or chemicals were found to exceed military exposure guidelines, and no elevated risk was identified.
The Army referenced testing from the 898th Medical Detachment, and their investigation suggests testing was done by more than one unit.
The Army statement did not address the current use of radiation watches and dosimeters at Al-Assad.
When asked about the eight outstanding Purple Heart medals filed this past August, the Army Human Resources Command approved them.
Within days, Patrick Benn is now among the 50 Purple Hearts retroactively approved for the attack on al-Assad.
When asked why the Biden-Harris DOJ took a position that favored Iran over the U.S. members, a DOJ spokesperson declined to comment.
Yeah. That's what we're dealing with here, folks.
Those are the people who we have essentially to deal with these days.
And finally here, we'll listen to the figurehead of it all, Joe Biden, coming out, doing...
And remember, he did his first press conference in the White House press room One month before the election.
How about that? So that means it took four years for him to get out here, and this is what he says.
Listen to this....and fair election, and that it will be peaceful.
Two separate questions.
I'm confident it will be free and fair.
I don't know whether it will be peaceful.
The things that Trump has said and the things that he said last time out when he didn't like the outcome of the election were very dangerous.
If you notice, I noticed that the vice presidential Republican candidate did not say he'd accept the outcome of the election.
They haven't even accepted the outcome of the last election.
So I'm concerned about what they're going to do.
Are you making any preparation?
So, to quote Biden, he says, I'm confident it will be free and fair.
I don't know whether it will be peaceful.
So, folks, you better buckle up, because what they have planned for us, if and when Trump wins, is going to make 2020 look like child's play, in my humble opinion.
And when we come back, we're going to start what we do every Monday, which is listening to a sermon from Pastor D. Baptist Church here in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Welcome back to Just a Form of Talk, radio on your side.
I'm your host, Craig James. Like I said before, we're going to take a listen to last Sunday's sermon from Pastor Dean Miller of Front Range Baptist Church here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The title is A Warning, and I want to share this with all of you.
Let's listen. Colossians chapter 2.
Colossians chapter 2.
Paul is going to give us a warning.
That's the title of the message this morning.
It's warning. Here's a warning, alright?
Now, let me tell you something.
I have learned in my life that when something says warning, you better pay attention to that.
Many of you don't realize this, but I still don't know why God let this happen in my life, but...
When I was going through Bible College, I was the maintenance director at the Ramada Inn in Colorado Springs.
It's no longer in business.
The building's all decayed.
I can drive by and say, I did that.
I don't know why they put me in charge of maintenance, but they did.
And I had a guy who was 18 years old who was my helper.
And I was about 19 years old and I was the leader.
And, um, uh, this kid, 18 years old, had real long flowing hair down here and he kind of, he kind of walked out like this and he was, he was one of those that he's just like, man, far out.
And, uh, he'd come to work and I'd say, he'd say, what you got for me chief?
And I would tell him what we were going to do.
And he's like, whoa. I'd say, James, we've got to go up there and change that light.
Whoa! I hadn't been that high since last night.
And so, this was the guy I was working with.
And so, we had these leaky faucets in the whole hotel.
And they would drip hot water.
And so you had to go in there and you had to take the little handle off.
And then you had a wrench. You could kind of get in behind the tile.
And then you pull the valve out.
And on the back of that valve, there was a little washer.
You replaced the washer, put it all back in, put the thing back on, and it stopped leaking.
And I could do that.
Except sometimes I forgot the process, and I forgot to turn the water off.
And so when you don't turn the main water off, and you take the handle off, and then you got one foot in the tub, one foot out of the tub, you're sitting on the edge of the tub, and I'm turning that wrench.
And all that water pressure in that hotel was coming through a pipe about that big.
And it would just shoot.
It hit me, slide me across the tub, and James would be like, whoa, far out, man.
And I'm like, James, go shut the water off.
But I remember we had these smoke detectors, and I had trouble with one.
It kept beeping all the time.
And so I thought, well, I need to change the battery.
So I got my ladder, and I got up there.
And on the smoke detector cap, it said, warning, risk of electrical shock.
And I'm thinking, how can a 9-volt battery give you electrical shock?
And I took the cap of that thing off.
And there was these two wires that were kind of in my way.
So I decided to move those wires and they moved me off the bed.
I hit the ground and James is like groovy, man.
And I was fired up for a while after that.
And so when something says warning, I take heed to that.
And in our world today, you can see the stupidity of our country by the warning labels that are on things.
Used to be when you bought a car, the manual in the car told you how to change the spark plugs and adjust the timing belt, all that kind of stuff.
Now it says, do not drink contents of the battery.
That's just kind of where we've gone as a nation, right?
But when something says warning you ought to listen to that and Paul is gonna give us a warning now
Let me tell you why he's gonna give us a warning here because for two chapters in the book of Colossians
Paul has been battling with false teachers and false doctrine that was creeping into this church and it's in all
Churches by the way, it has the churches have a proclivity to false teaching and false doctrine. So Paul was
Hammering away at the Church of Colossae and in chapter 1 he said to the Church of Colossae
Jesus is the creator he Alright, we're coming right back.
We'll keep listening to it.

Welcome back to Swarm Talk Radio.
I'm John Furrier, and this is Swarm Talk Radio.
I'm John Furrier, and this is Swarm Talk Radio.
Welcome back to Swarm Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James, and we're going to go right back to the sermon we're listening to, entitled, Warning, from Pastor Dean Miller, Front Range Baptist Church, right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Let's listen. He made everything.
And not only is he creator, he is God.
And not only is he God, he is redeemer and savior.
And he's the king.
He's the one that went into the power of darkness and brought you into his kingdom.
And now he's king. Not only that...
He made you a member of His body and He's the head of the body.
So He is God. He is Creator.
He is Savior. He is Redeemer.
He is King. He is the head.
And Paul's message in chapter 1 was, Christ is preeminent.
It's the preeminency of Christ.
If he is God and creator and savior and redeemer and king and head of the body, then he must have preeminence.
Listen to me carefully. Jesus does not want just a place in your life.
He is your life.
He doesn't want to just be a part of your life.
He is preeminent in your life.
Somebody one time said, if Jesus Christ is not Lord of all, he's not Lord at all.
And so Paul's message in chapter 1 was he is preeminent.
The preeminency of Christ.
Then in chapter 2 he said, now think about this, that Christ who is the fullness of God in his body, that Christ who is God, that Christ lives in you.
That Christ dwells in you.
That Christ has removed every condition that Of the law, every condition of the Old Testament.
He has removed everything, nailing it to his cross.
He finished the work of redemption so that he could live in you and dwell in you.
In chapter 1, the message was the preeminency of Christ.
In chapter 2, the message is the completeness of the believer.
Christ is preeminent and you are complete.
Now, let me tell you what Paul's going to do.
In chapter 3 and chapter 4, now this is where you better put your seatbelt on when we get there.
Because we're going to linger in chapter 3 and chapter 4.
Because what Paul's going to do is Paul's going to take all of that truth of who Jesus is and who you are in Christ.
And then he's going to say, now, let me show you what that looks like in your sneakers in middle school.
Let me show you what that looks like at your house.
Let me show you what that looks like in your marriage.
Let me show you what that looks like at your job.
Let me show you what that looks like as a husband, as a wife, as a parent, as an employer, as an employee, as a citizen.
He's gonna get right down where we live He's going to go to some of you.
He's going to go to junior high school with you and tell you what it means to have the preeminency of Christ and the completeness of Him in you in junior high.
He's going to tell you dads, this is how you parent in the preeminency of Christ and the fullness of Christ.
He's going to tell you that. And he's going to get really practical and very personal.
And we're going to be here for that.
Amen? We're going to be here for that.
Amen? Okay.
Some of you are reluctant. Like, I don't know if I want to be here for that.
I like the part about him redeeming and forgiving.
I don't know about him helping my marriage.
But now listen to me. We're going to get to that.
So before we get there, Paul has just given us the doctrine of preeminency, the doctrine of completeness in the believer.
And then he's going to say this. Now let me give you a warning before we get to that.
Paul was battling three things in this church.
And these are the warnings. The three things he was battling in this church is Jewish legalism, the Oriental mysticism, and the Gnosticism, which was an idea that you could come into deeper and higher experiences with God through intellectual experiences, through philosophy, and all kinds of things all mingled together.
You say, Pastor, what does that have to do with us?
These things are rampant in the New Testament church in America today.
And what I'm going to preach to you today is absolutely a warning that should be preached in every pulpit of every New Testament church in this country.
Because Paul was warning these churches of these three things.
I'm going to get to, Paul said in chapter 3 and 4, I'm going to get to your personal victory and holiness in Christ.
But let me give you some warnings about what it's not.
The preeminency of Christ and the completeness of the believer is not going to be found in these three things.
And number one, here's his first warning.
His warning against legalism.
Now I want to just make it very clear for just a minute.
That word gets thrown around way too much and too flippantly.
Sometimes if you put any kind of a rule in place, oh legalist, you're a legalist, you got a rule.
And it's kind of like the people who are crying hate speech.
It's not hate speech, it's just speech that they hate.
And sometimes when you put a rule in place somewhere, somebody will say, well, you're being a legalist because you've just touched on something that they want to do and you're telling them they can't do it, so they're going to call you a legalist.
It's what we see in our society in all kinds of ways.
If somebody disagrees with you, well, you're a racist.
If somebody disagrees with you, well, you're a misogynist.
If they disagree with you, well, you're a...
And listen, we've got to be careful with that word.
God's going to define this word.
Legalism has two sides to it.
Number one, there's a legalism for salvation.
There are people that think that if you obey rules, that you can find your way to God through rules.
And let me ask you a question, church.
What are we saved by? We're saved by grace.
Without works. Not one work.
It cannot be Jesus plus baptism.
It cannot be Jesus plus good life.
It cannot be Jesus plus the Ten Commandments.
It is Jesus alone.
So watch this very carefully in verse number 16.
Let no man, therefore, judge you in meat or in drink or in respect of an holy day,
or of the new moon or of the Sabbath days, which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of
Christ.
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels,
intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
and not holding the head from which all the body by joints and bands have nourishment,
and not holding the head from which all the body, by joints and bands,
hath nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
ministered and knit together, increase of the increase of God.
Wherefore, if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world,
why as though living in the world are you subject to ordinances,
touch not, taste not, handle not, which are all to perish with the using.
After the commandments and doctrines of men, which things have indeed a show of wisdom
in will worship and humility and neglecting the body, but in any honor to the set,
not in any honor to the satisfying of the flesh.
Now, if you just understood that...
Say amen. Okay?
We're going to break it down. What does he mean here?
Let no man judge you, therefore.
Well, what he's going to talk about here is he's going to talk about legalism.
Now let's define legalism so we don't just throw it around like somebody throws around racism or whatever flippantly or hate speech flippantly because it's something that offends them.
Let's talk about what God and qualify it by what God says legalism is.
Legalism in this passage of scripture is a strict adherence.
To religious duties.
To religious days.
And to religious diets.
To bring about salvation.
That's the first part of legalism.
You have to follow these rules, observe these days, keep these laws, and you can be saved.
Church, listen to me.
It is not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.
I am not saved because I earned it through my work and my effort.
I am saved because of the finished work of Jesus Christ alone.
Alright, we're coming right back, and we're going to keep listening to Pastor Dean Miller from Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.

I'm your host, Craig James. We're going right back to Pastor Dean Miller's sermon titled, Warning.
This is from Front Range Baptist Church in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Let's listen.
So, legalism for salvation is out.
But now there were some in this church that were saying, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
that's not what we're saying.
We're not saying that we're saved by keeping these rules.
What we're saying is, is we're saved by faith and grace and Jesus Christ alone plus nothing that's wonderful.
But if we want to grow in Christ, we keep these rules.
If we want to be sanctified, then we live by these rules.
We need to follow this diet, observe these days, take care of these religious duties.
And what Paul's answer was that was, don't you let any man judge you in meat or in drink.
You say, well, that's awesome.
I can eat what I want and drink what I want.
Wrong. Paul's going to talk about that in a minute.
What Paul's saying here is, listen to me, what you guys are wanting to do is what all humanity wants to do, and you want to condense God's holiness into a system that you can observe.
And the Christian life is not a system that we observe, it's a person that we surrender to.
But it's hard for us and our flesh to comprehend this because our flesh, listen to me, our flesh, though very weak in doing spiritual things, remember what Jesus said?
Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Our flesh is so weak.
I just want to tell you right now, my flesh did not want to get my carcass out of bed on my knees and pray this morning.
Now this may shock you, but I did not feel like praying today.
I did not want to pray today.
I just told the Lord today.
I said, Lord, I prayed yesterday.
And I'm tired.
Did not I serve you yesterday at the widow's conference?
Did not I serve you yesterday by visiting the sick?
Did not I visit other people?
And Lord, did I not do?
I mean, isn't that enough?
My flesh was going, I do not want to pray.
Now my spirit was willing, and my spirit kept saying, Dean, come on.
We need to pray. And my spirit was willing, but my flesh was weak.
Now our flesh is weak when it comes to spiritual things, but I don't know why our flesh is so strong for religious observance.
The flesh loves a list of rules.
That we can follow. You know why?
It feeds the ego and it gives us a sense of self-righteousness.
We live in a world today that's filled with self-righteousness, egotism.
We have entire companies that are based on making you look good without going to the gym.
Are you tired of having this belly?
Get this TrueFit t-shirt.
Now you can look like you've worked out.
And you're standing there with your TrueFit shirt and you got, which all it is is it's got extra material where you need it.
And you're standing there with your TrueFit with a Big Mac and a Diet Coke.
I look good.
Then you got a guy who says, I'm not eating any junk.
I'm going to the gym.
I'm measuring my macros.
I'm going to take 186 grams of protein.
I'm going to only take 26 carbohydrates.
I'm going to do only 12 grams of fat.
And I'm going to go to the gym and I'm going to pump iron.
And what's in the gym?
Mirrors. And the more people get pumped up, the less clothes they wear.
Because they want everybody to see, look what I did.
Look what I did. Yeah.
And this is what happens in legalism.
We have Christians who walk in here, you've been eating spiritual Big Macs and Diet Cokes all week, but you can put certain things on that make you look fit.
But some of us have been following these rules so good, we want everybody else to know, look how good I am.
I didn't do that. I didn't eat that.
I didn't touch that. I didn't taste that.
I would take my jacket off and flex, but I don't want to give anybody up.
And I don't make other people feel bad.
And I didn't really flex to my capacity because this is a new suit.
I didn't want to rip this thing, but anyway.
But what is it? It's all self-righteousness.
Legalism promotes what you can do.
In the power of your flesh.
And Paul said, stop it.
You're free from that.
You know how I know he's talked about our freedom?
Let me show you how our freedom from legalism.
In chapter 2, verse 16, let no man therefore.
Everybody see that word therefore? Whenever you come to the word therefore or the word wherefore, stop and ask yourself the question, what is the therefore therefore?
Therefore. What is the wherefore therefore?
Why? The therefore or the wherefore is therefore the application of what we've just heard.
And you know what we just heard? We just heard that all of those laws and all of those ordinances and all of those commandments were nailed to his cross and taken out of the way and he triumphed over that whole law through his death.
You do not need to add religious duties and holy days and specific diets in order to have salvation or to be holy.
Jesus took all of that out of the way.
He's preeminent.
He will live in you and make you complete.
You don't need legalism.
You need Him. The freedom that we get from that is wonderful.
It took Peter, who was a Hebrew, it took Peter a long time to get it.
The Holy Spirit had told Peter that you're going to go to all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
You're going to go to the Gentiles.
And he's like, okay... But it took Peter 10 years from Acts chapter 2 in Pentecost to Acts chapter 10 in Caesarea on the water to go down and meet with Cornelius at his house.
10 years. It took him a decade to go down there and even meet with a Gentile.
Then when that guy got saved, they all came back and said, Hey, the Gentiles got saved.
And all the Jews went, You didn't eat with them, did you?
He's like, well, I had a bite.
Oh, you're unclean.
You're defiled. You broke the law.
And then Peter's like, oh man, okay.
Nobody eat with the Gentiles.
Then Paul had to come down there and say, what's wrong with you, man?
And Peter's like, yeah, you're right.
And so in Acts chapter 15, Peter gets up before an entire council in the New Testament church when they were battling about this Jew and Gentile thing.
And Peter says to the Jews that the law of Moses was a yoke on our neck.
Paul wrote in Galatians chapter 5, Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
And he was speaking about the law.
It was a yoke of bondage.
You know what Jesus said? Take that yoke off, come to me, and let me give you my yoke.
Yoke up with me, because my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
And I'll give you rest.
It's not legalism, it's grace.
Oh, but then there's a lot of people that get really worried.
Oh, wait a minute, pastor. What happens if we tell people that there's no law to follow?
Aren't they just going to do what they want?
If they're of the flesh, yes.
You give the flesh license to do what it wants, and brother, we're in trouble.
We have a society today where we've got a government telling everybody else that evil is right, and right is evil, good is evil, and evil is good, and look what our society is doing.
We've got criminals running the streets, and the law-abiding people are in their homes, afraid to go outside because our nation has been turned into a lawless nation because we're saying people can do whatever they want.
Listen, listen. The grace of God does not lead you to license to sin.
The grace of God teaches you to deny ungodliness and unrighteousness and to live godly and sober in this present world.
But there's freedom from legalism.
So that's the first warning. I love this, by the way.
Look at Paul's answer. I've got to hustle.
But look at verse 17. Which are a shadow, speaking of the holy days and the new moons and the Sabbaths and the meat and the drink.
They're a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ.
People who are chasing religious rituals are just embracing the shadow.
Now I want to say something right now.
I don't want to get hugged by Michelle's shadow.
I want to get hugged by Michelle's shadow.
One of the men in our church invited me to play golf a few weeks ago.
I had to wait until later in the day to go.
So we went out and we tried to hustle in and get a game in before it got dark.
And the sun was setting and we were on one of the greens and it was kind of getting late in the day.
And our shadows were really long.
And he had a really important putt and he was over his putt and he was going to make this putt.
And I was standing, you know, way back just trying to be quiet.
But my shadow was right over his ball.
And I just went to the side and I took my fingers and I went...
Like that?
And he was seeing my shadow try to move.
I was doing this and doing all kinds of stuff with my shadow.
He's like, knock it off!
And I said, I didn't touch it. But now listen to me.
That's what so many believers are doing.
We believers are chasing the shadows when we can have the substance.
And we're playing shadow games...
Ignoring the reality of Christ.
So Paul warned us about legalism.
Number two, Paul warned us about mysticism.
Look at verse number 18.
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.
He's not holding the head from which the body by joints and bands have nourishment ministered and knit together increases with the increase of God.
Okay, so what's this guy doing? But watch this carefully.
Mysticism was this.
Mysticism was coming to God through experiential things.
Visions. Dreams.
Now, does God give visions?
Yes, He can. Does God give dreams?
Yes, He can. Does God do things in our own life to give us personal experiences with Him?
Yes. But notice what the Bible says here.
He said, let no man beguile you of your reward.
That word beguile, that King James word beguile, is the word disqualify.
It means don't let anyone declare you unworthy of the prize because you have not had their experience.
There are some people that say, well man, I was in my room one night and this bright light came.
And this angel was at the foot of my bed.
He told me to go out and do all these things and whoa.
And then you say, man, I've never had that.
Whoa, well, if you would just get deeper with God.
People talk about their experiences.
I had this feeling one time, I got these goosebumps.
Well, that's good. You can experience God in very real ways.
There have been times when I've been in prayer and I have had An understanding of the real presence of God.
But I will tell you what that didn't do.
It didn't cause me to go out and tell everybody else, if you don't have that, you don't have what I have.
What it did do is what it did to every other person who ever had a real tangible experience with God.
It humbled them where they said, woe is me.
Oh God, forgive me.
And I have found in my life that the closer I get to God, the harder I am on myself and the more grace I have on other people.
The further I get from God, the more grace I give myself and the harder I am on everybody else.
But the mystic, they were saying, oh, there's all these, you know, I had this angel come to me.
Well, let me tell you something very carefully.
Listen to me. What the mystics were doing is they were gauging experiences that they were having apart from the Scripture and apart from the Holy Spirit.
Watch this very carefully, church.
Listen to what I'm going to tell you right now. Don't miss this.
If you go around the Word of God and you go around the Holy Spirit, Satan will give you spiritual experiences.
That are not of God.
Do you know that I believe that Joseph Smith talked to an angel?
But he was not an angel of God.
He said he had a vision from angel Moroni.
He wrote the Book of Mormon.
He said, well, how can you say that it wasn't from God?
Because the Bible says, if we or any man or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than what we have preached, let him be accursed.
Amen. And if the angel Moroni came and gave us an addendum to this book as a secondary book that says something contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ, that's not from God.
I don't know what's happening in our world today, but people are making prayers to Saint Michael, the archangel.
First of all, if he's the archangel, he can't be a saint.
Because angels don't get saved.
At major political rallies, they're praying to Saint Michael, the archangel.
Now listen to me carefully.
We don't pray to angels.
We don't pray to saints.
We don't pray to Mary.
Notice what the Bible says in verse 18.
Let no man beguile you or disqualify you of your reward in a voluntary humility.
Here's what people say today. Well, you know, I'm just not worthy to come to God.
So I go talk to his mother.
I'm not worthy to talk to God, so I talk to St.
Christopher. Alright, we're going to keep going.
Stay tuned. Hey folks, The Rev here.

Welcome back to Just Form Talk Radio I'm your host, Craig James.
We're going to go right back to Pastor Dean Miller's sermon titled, A Warning.
This is from Front Range Baptist Church here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
And we're going to jump right back into it.
I'm not worthy to talk to God.
See, I mean, I'm just not that kind of person that can go to God personally.
So I go to an angel.
Let me tell you something about angels.
In Hebrews chapter 1 and verse 4, the Bible says that angels are ministers to the saved.
They're our servants. We don't pray to them.
They can't be saved. The Bible says that angels are trying, desiring to look into this thing called salvation.
They don't know what it means to be saved by grace.
God has sent them as ministering spirits to minister to us in ways to serve us.
Listen, I'm glad. I don't understand all that, but here's the thing.
These people were giving into this mystical thing where they could enter into stuff that they had never seen, that they could not understand.
It was experiential, charismatic type feelings of these things that boil out of an experiential thing that circumvents
the Word of God, circumvents the Holy Spirit.
And then if you don't have that, we disqualify you from it.
Listen to me carefully.
I don't understand how entire religious systems have missed this, but the Bible says there is one mediator between God
and man, the man Christ Jesus.
The Bible tells us that we can go right boldly to the throne of God.
Listen, listen, listen. You're looking at a man and I'm looking at a room full of people.
You don't need a priest to pray for you.
You don't need Mary to pray for you.
You don't need Saint Christopher to pray for you.
You can walk boldly into the throne room of your Heavenly Father and on the basis of Jesus Christ and your relationship to Him, you can pray and you can make your request known to God directly.
You need no one else because you have Christ.
Mysticism is rampant in our churches today.
You can have spiritual experiences, but those spiritual experiences must be measured by the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit.
If you understand that, say amen.
People have come to me before saying amen.
And by the way, listen, church, listen to me.
I met believers, I met people when we were planting a church in northern Iraq.
And I was there in September.
We were about to liberate Mosul.
And I was staying 11 kilometers from Mosul.
I could see Mosul from my hotel room.
And ISIS was there.
And we were starting this church. And I was meeting believers from Turkey, from Iran.
I met a family one time.
When I was over there, I met a family that told me this story.
With fear and trembling, they told me this story.
The man had a dream.
He was in Iran. He had a dream.
That he and his family hiked a mountain together.
And there they met God.
So the next morning he woke up, he gathered his whole family together, and he said, get ready.
They said, where are we going? He said, we're going on a hike.
And they hiked a mountain.
And his little kids are like, Dad, what are we doing?
They hiked a mountain. They got up on top of the mountain.
There was a whole, up there was a bunch of rocks.
And One of his children saw something under the rocks, began to dig at it, and pulled out a box.
And in the box was a Bible.
In the box were little sheets with things on it they had never seen.
It was music. It was hymns.
Then they heard voices coming.
They packed it all up. They put it back in.
They covered it all up. And they hid in the rocks.
And about that time, there was a group of people that came up into those rocks.
And they went to that place.
They dug it up. They pulled it out.
They handed out these little sheets.
And in whispered voices, they were singing hymns.
Amazing grace. How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.
And a man took the Bible and opened it up and began to read Scripture.
And he began to tell people about the Scripture.
And they prayed together.
And... They were having church.
And one of the kids made a noise and the people were frightened because they thought maybe they had been discovered.
And they saw this family and they brought them in.
The man told them about his dream that he hiked this mountain.
And he brought his family up because he had a dream that he was going to meet God.
And they took the Bible and began to teach him about Jesus Christ.
And they showed him about Jesus being the way, the truth, and the life.
And his death and his burial and his resurrection.
And that man with tears rolling down his face said, I was born again on that mountain.
I got born again on that mountain.
I want to tell you something. He had to flee his country.
He had to run from the persecution.
He had to leave behind one of the members of their family who was imprisoned because they had turned to Christ.
Let me tell you something. That man was not looking at me saying, what was your experience?
Did you have an experience like that?
Listen to me. I believe that the Lord can give you experiences, but hear me.
They're measured by the Word of God.
They're measured by the Holy Spirit.
And they're not experiences that make us boast and lift up our vain minds, forsaking the head who is Jesus.
Does everybody understand that?
So Paul rejected that.
Let me close with this. Verse number 20, he says, wherefore if you be dead with Christ from the rudiments, remember that word rudiments is the ABCs, it's the basic elementary kindergarten things of the world.
Why as though living in the world are you subject to ordinances, touch not, taste not, handle not, which are all perish with the using, and they're after the commandments and doctrines of men.
Which things have indeed a show of wisdom and will worship and humility and neglecting the body, not in any honor to the satisfying of the flesh.
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Paul gave us a third warning.
The first against legalism.
The second against mysticism.
And the third was against asceticism.
Asceticism is a self-denial.
It is a self-mortification to be more spiritual.
Anybody ever seen the monasteries of the monks?
You go to these places and you rid yourself of all earthly things.
You come into these places where you're going to afflict your body.
Martin Luther was a part of that.
Martin Luther said, in the monastery, we were apart from all the things of the world.
We separated from everybody in the world.
We were only in that place having religious conversations and singing religious songs.
But he said, I could do nothing with my lustful thoughts.
He talked about in the monastery that he was in, Martin Luther said, when people would have lustful thoughts, they were taught to throw themselves into a thorn bush.
It's kind of hard to have a lustful thought while you're in a thorn bush.
But I will tell you this, you can always tell who's having lustful thoughts.
They're bleeding and bruised.
They're coming in with all kinds of afflictions.
How's your thought life, John?
Oh, nothing. Nothing's wrong with it.
Why do you ask? Well, you're bleeding profusely.
Jesus referenced these kind of guys.
There was Pharisees. They were called the bruised Pharisees.
Jesus called them the blind guides.
They had a belief system that if they were walking down the road, these Pharisees, if they saw a woman that was dressed inappropriately, they would cover their eyes and they would fall into a ditch.
They would run into a wall. If they saw something that was impure, they would cover their eyes and they would bang into something and they were bruised and bleeding.
And their bruises and bleeding was a badge of honor of their holiness.
In reality, their bleeding and bruising was nothing more than a testament to their sinfulness.
Because you are not committing adultery, but you are filled with lust.
Listen to me. Jesus said, okay, if your hand offends you, cut it off.
If your eye offends you, pluck it out.
Do you understand that if you...
Jesus was not teaching self-mutilation, what he was teaching us is this.
If you started cutting off every part of you that offends you, eventually you would just be laying there as a torso with a lustful heart.
And you would have covetousness in your heart.
You say, how do you know that? You'd be like, man, I wish I had legs.
You would be filled with covetousness.
That's how depraved we are.
You can cut all of you up into little pieces.
You can worship your will.
You can make a show of humility.
You can put all kinds of restraints on you.
But listen to me, you cannot through that find God.
Paul's warning was this.
You need to discipline your body.
Hey, you know, there are some things Paul said here, touch not, taste not, handle not.
You know, there are some things the Bible says, touch not.
The same guy who wrote the book of Colossians wrote the book of 1 Corinthians when he says, what?
Know you not that your bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you?
Come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing.

Welcome back to Just Form Talk Radio.
We're listening to Pastor Dean Miller and his sermon titled A Warning from Front Range Baptist Church here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Services are on Sundays at 9.30 a.m.
and 11 a.m. and all are welcome.
Let's go back to Pastor Dean Miller.
There are some things that a believer should not touch.
There are some things that a believer should not taste.
There are some things that a believer should not handle.
There are some things that a believer should not do.
Paul is not giving us a license to sin.
But he's simply saying this.
He's saying this. If you think that the discipline of your soul is going to...
Or the discipline of your body is going to bring sanctification to your soul, you're sadly mistaking it.
Listen, I'm very thankful for people who have rigid routines of diet and exercise.
It's a motivation to me to do that.
I should eat better. God put things in the Bible about don't eat that.
In his Old Testament law, God said this is unclean and this is clean.
Now listen, none of those were ever imposed upon man to be ways to God.
God put those there to show us our need for him and our...
Bodies can be easily corrupted by unclean things.
Listen, there's a group of people up in northern Canada many, many years ago.
They were eating these mussels that grew in these waters up there.
They were eating mussels.
And what they finally found out at one point was that these mussels had a toxin in them that were causing people to have a form of Alzheimer's where they lost their short-term memory, not temporarily, permanently.
And that's why the Lord had said in many places, there's shellfish.
You shouldn't eat this kind of shellfish because it can be unhealthy to you.
It can increase iodine levels and mercury levels or whatever else in your body.
Pork is a terrible thing to eat.
I love bacon. It's terribly delicious.
But let's just be honest.
There's a lot of things that we eat that are not healthy and we could all do a better job.
There is some profit. There is some benefit to bodily exercise.
There is some benefit to healthy eating.
But none of that will bring you into a place of holiness.
None of the disciplines of the body will bring a sanctification in your soul.
So Paul said, listen, it's not rules that we follow.
It's not experiences that we have.
It's not disciplines that we enforce on ourselves through asceticism.
What is it? Here's the conclusion of the whole matter.
We finally found it.
We found the part of the message that you were looking for.
The end. The power, don't miss what I'm going to tell you right now.
The power of Christ.
Creator, Redeemer, Forgiver, Preeminent.
In whom the whole Godhead dwells in him, the fullness of God in him is in you.
And the power of Christ is not there to merely restrain the desires of your flesh.
It is to give you new desires in your heart.
Jesus was not here...
To eliminate the desires and the things of our flesh.
It was to give us. That's why the Bible says, If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.
All things are passed away.
Behold, all things have become new.
This is tragically missing from the preaching in the pulpits of our New Testament churches.
Christians are learning to live a cheap imitation.
We're walking around in true fit t-shirts.
We're walking around in muscle shirts of the things that we have done in our own strength and power that have not brought us one iota closer to the power of Christ in us.
Listen to what I'm going to tell you right now.
The nature of something determines its appetite.
Nature determines appetite.
Hippos, elephants, cows, rhinoceroses, they all have one thing in common.
They eat at the salad bar.
Right? They all eat vegetables.
Lions and tigers and lean, strong, they all eat meat.
I mean, what would you do if you saw an elephant eating a deer?
Something wrong with that.
You know what happens when my dogs eat grass?
I call the vet.
Something wrong with his dog.
He's eating grass.
The nature of something determines its appetite.
Watch this carefully. In 2 Peter chapter 1 and verse number 4, the Bible says that you have become partakers of the divine nature, which is in you, which you have of God.
And he has given you everything that pertains to life and godliness.
Do you think for one minute the nature of God in you would give you license to live unholy?
Do you think for one minute that the life of Jesus Christ in you would give you the liberty to fulfill the desires of
your flesh?
We want to cheapen it down and condense it into the rules that we can follow because then we can measure how good we're
doing.
Thank you.
See, this is the genius of the Pharisee.
We make a list of rules that we can keep and we say, hey, look, I measure up.
Then we walk around with our man-made measure and we measure everybody else.
Oh, you're short. Look what you did wrong.
And then we judge and meet and drink.
Then we tell them about our experiences.
Then we tell them about what we've done to become so good with our will worship.
Everybody with me right now? Shake your head up and down if you understand what I'm saying.
Somebody said, Pastor...
You know, we got people that wear suits and ties to our church.
We got people that wear shorts to our church.
We got people that have short haircuts and long haircuts.
I mean, when are these people?
We got people that have long beards and short beards.
When are these people going to look like Christians?
But we walk around with our measure saying, hey, well, I can measure up to this.
You should measure up to this. You know what our measure is?
Our measure is the Lord Jesus Christ.
And I will tell you this right now.
In every way, I don't measure up.
And I must grow.
Feed on Him.
You do not need law on the outside if you have God's life on the inside.
you Bye.
So the answer to legalism is the reality of Jesus Christ.
The answer to mysticism is a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
And the answer to asceticism is the resurrected life of Christ.
Alright, we're coming right back.
Stay tuned. Before hiring a realtor from a big corporation who outsources their jobs and pays little to no taxes, ask yourself, what do you really want in a realtor?
You need a realtor who is honest and has integrity.
A realtor who is focused on the client's bottom line, not the realtor's bottom line.

I was broken at the bottom I found You're my healer and redeemer Jesus, that's who you are You brought me blessings out of a tragedy You turned my old song into a symphony Welcome back to Just Form Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James. We're going to finish listening up to Pastor Dean Miller's sermon titled, A Warning, from Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
I am crucified with Christ.
Nevertheless, I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.
I've told you this many times, but church, listen to me.
We can't get away from this. I've told you this many times.
When Jesus died on that cross...
He was giving His life for me.
He was dying as my sacrifice.
He died as my sin.
Nailed to that cross, He died.
Took everything out of the way.
He gave Himself for me.
He went into the grave and was buried.
Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead.
On that cross, He gave Himself for me.
In His resurrection, He gave Himself to me.
So that he could live his life through me.
That's why Paul said in chapter 1, it's Christ in you, the hope of glory.
It is an insult to Jesus Christ and to his finished work to reduce the Christian life into a list of do's and don'ts.
It's an insult to Jesus.
The problem that we have is this.
Many of us don't know how to come to him in yieldedness and surrender and allow him to be Lord.
Jesus asked a very important question about that one time.
Jesus said to some people who came to him and said, hey Lord, and he stopped him and he said, why do you call me Lord and don't do the things that I say?
Why do you call me Lord when you don't do what I say?
If every one of us got up tomorrow morning and we were fully yielded to the life of Christ in us, how would our life be different?
I'll tell you this, it would change in a drastic way because it would be a life tomorrow that you can't live on your own.
It's a life that He gives you.
He lives in you.
That's the life.
Father, I pray...
Alright, that was a powerful message from Pastor Dean Miller of Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort
Collins, Colorado.
Again, just to remind you all out there, the services there are Sundays at 9.30 and 11am.
And of course, all are welcome to come.
So, hope we see you down there.
And to everybody who has come down from listening to it here on the radio, thank you.
I'm always so blessed when I get to see you guys there.
We just need to keep putting our faith and focus on God and His Son, Jesus.
Like Pastor Miller said, you know, our salvation is in Jesus and nothing else.
And we have to just keep our eye on that as we go through all of these different things in our life, whether it's celebration, success, or affliction and hardship, or everything in between.
We have to just stay focused on Christ.
And I think the warning was very clear in that message that The warning is this.
Stay focused on Jesus and nothing else.
And everything else will come into where it needs to be.
So, thank you guys.
That was basically our God's Grace is Greater segment too.
So, we're going to leave it there.
But we'll be back tomorrow, God willing.
Big week this week.
We're going to have a special guest on Wednesday coming up.
We're going to do some interesting things that you're going to want to be tuned in for.
But I want to thank you all.
Thank you all for listening.
And we'll be back tomorrow.
Until then, I'm your host, Craig James.
This is Just Informed Talk Radio.
We'll see you tomorrow.
Until then, Godspeed and God bless each and every one of you patriots.
